This AMC at El Paseo de Saratoga has been my most frequented theater for many years. However, I'll be going to Pruneridge or Oakridge or 3Below or the Cinelux on S. Winchester or the Cinemark at Santana Row or the Del Mar in Santa Cruz, all of which I visit at least twice a year, before going back there again. Thursday, 12/15/22, I went to see The Fabelmans, which is an A movie, at 2:30 in the afternoon. Normally I'll get a large popcorn and a Pure Leaf Iced Tea in the bottle, but when I got to the counter the attendant was half leering at me and addressed me with a little contempt in his tone and demeanor. So I figured I'd not trouble him with the popcorn. Rather I asked for the nachos, to make it easy for him. Also I didn't slap him, for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that the width of the countertop placed him just out of reach. Mostly though it's because I'd paid for the ticket with a credit card, plus I have Google Fi. So check this out, he got the nachos and put them on the counter, then asked whether I wanted salsa or the cheese sauce. Which set me aback and had me quizzical

Just went to see Spiderverse in theater 13, the speakers were constantly buzzing the entire movie and it was rather distracting. The seats were pretty uncomfortable, I’m sore after sitting in it. In the top rows, everybody has to climb over the people towards the right, the left side of the stairs is completely closed off for some reason. Overall a pretty disappointing experience, the house lights didn’t turn off at the beginning of the show, and people had to get up and ask for the lights to be turned off. Just silly. Also, the light back in the projector room came on in the middle of the the movie and was rather distracting, I called and they said that just like their extra concessions were up there and they were sorry. What? Obviously the whole thing just seems like a mess, there’s huge lines everywhere and for everything, I don’t know whether the whole building needs to be torn down or they need to hire like twice the staff or both.

The movie was great, and the theater is very clean. Also the team is great. But only one thing. When we made the reservations and went all of us, and we were there 3 minutes, one of the team working there said to us when we getting the tickets and we asked one of the team there if the movie started yet, That one of the team said, " no the movie has not started yet, your guys will be allright". When we went inside the Theater hall, we found out tht the movie allready started 10 minutes before we walked in. We beleve that the theater team is responsible for this incident. And the should refund my money back and refund it to my master bank card, or give us 7 free tickets for the 2 friends that were with us but paid with deffernt bank card, but i paid them to so they can watch watch the movie also. But i still see the movie theater and the team as good quality theater and team. I rate them. The theater needs to contact me.

I started going to this theater more because I live in the area now. I like that it's conveniently located. Parking is easy. Located in a center with several restaurants. I gave this place a 4 star since the chairs haven't been updated to the newer recliner chairs which would be more comfortable. Otherwise, the staff have been pretty helpful and friendly. I recently had to speak with the manager on duty about not being refunded tickets I hadn't used due to their projector breaking down. She explained the process since I had purchased my tickets online and gave me replacement tickets which I used the next day. I didn't have to go through the hassle of contacting the online vendor etc . I usually get the large drink and popcorn to share since it's so much. I don't normally eat other food from there so I couldn't comment about that. It's a great neighborhood theater !

Worst customer service. I placed a pick up order that you can do online for the mega bag of popcorn for home because I was having a movie night when I went inside to ask where do I pick the popcorn up at because the instructions weren’t clear. The employee Barney, sitting down at the desk was so rude!!! He didn’t even greet me or nothing. He says “QR CODE!” I told him I don’t have one. It just gave me a confirmation number. He ignored me and just started helping other customers. Making me just stand there, so I headed over to the concession stand because I could see the popcorn bag sitting there. He yells really loud.”HEY! EXCUSE ME!!!!” he embarrassed me and acted like I was going to sneak into a movie or something. Everyone turned around & looked at me. If you don’t like your job maybe it’s time to find a new one.

Upgrades include leather reclining lounges, IMAX size screens in some theaters, Dolby sound in others. They have a full bar out in the lobby by the name of McGuffins. My favorite thing about AMC Theaters is there Stubbs A-list ticketing membership. For $20 a month, you can see three movies per week. A movie in Dolby or IMAX costs an average of $18 per ticket. lots of other benefits come with this program including discounts on movie theater snacks and other perks. Can be reserved online through the app whether you're purchasing a ticket the old-fashioned way online or using the Stubbs A-list reservation. Need to use desktop website to reserve your specific seat using your Stubs A-list. Can't seem to find it in the mobile version.

This was just an ok theater. Everything but the Dolby Cinema is outdated and super rundown. The seats are old and the floors obviously never cleaned. The sound was a lot lower than usual and we could hear the movie next to us. We got a leak in one of our cups so we asked for a replacement cup and the employee was so annoyed and rude. Popcorn was very stale so we asked for some fresh popcorn and was told no. Both ICON and Century definitely blows this AMC out of the water. Update: We see a lot of movies and sit in the Dolby theater. They never wipe the seats down. Check out the photo. We have sat in this row numerous times and it's still grimy and gross each time we come.

I've been coming to AMC Saratoga for almost literally my entire life. It doesn't differ greatly from the other AMCs in the area - it's nicer than AMC 16 was (when it was around) but not quite as nice as AMC 20. Still, nothing to thumb your nose at. Always a lot of movie options here - it's a pretty large theatre so there's always plenty of showings on any given night and the auditoriums are fairly large. I will say it's location is pretty ideal - it's in a big strip mall with restaurants and shops near by - even across the street there are tons of restaurants and an actual mall, a Target, etc. So if you're trying to make an afternoon of it this is a good spot to come to.

For an AMC serving the nicer side of town in Saratoga, it’s honestly embarrassing how bad this theater is. You can tell the seats haven’t been changed since the 90s and are gross and dirty. The food line moves at a snail pace with one employee working it, and I don’t even know why they have a Stubs Premier line cause the employees don’t seem to know how the two lines work. The sound levels are not right, and I had to close my own auditorium’s door because they keep them propped open and sound from the lobby kept coming through. The only auditorium that is clean and nice is the Dolby. I’ve been to many AMCs across the country and can tell you this one is not worth it.

Before Covid, always went to AMC Theaters... But we have not been to AMC Saratoga since covid started. We excitedly went back last Tuesday. Our theater was old and smelly. No updates, or remodeling ... eww. Disappointed. Sticky floor. Bathroom stalls were marked out of order and dirty with water everywhere on the floor and the movie was first showing of the day! Snacks were good, but very slow service. Popcorn was not ready. Some serving items like cups and hot sauce had to be located. Nacho cheese was not warm! I think .... next time, as a family, we will stick with AMC Mercado, further away but hopefully cleaner, if not updated.

Great theater that’s been here for many years. It’s always clean in here with good snacks. Restrooms are tended to often so they are all clean. People that work here are always very nice and friendly. They have many movies to choose from and big screens with very ample seating. There’s no finer place to watch a film. The air conditioning is always perfect in here; it’s never too hot or too cold, which is important to me. In this parking area, there are many handicapped spots and many parking spaces. It’s in a very huge parking lot, so there’s no problems ever and everything is on one floor. Plenty of fun here, that’s for sure!

Went to watch Maverick, the ticket booth attendant had to upload his computer, it took 7-10 minutes, while a line formed. Tried to buy popcorn, only one person in line, that took 10 minutes, while other employees milled around. Got popcorn went to put butter on it, only four butter stations in theater, two where broken, told an attendant, he said push harder, I did, but nothing happened. I told another employee. After the movie I tried the butter again, nothing happened. At $14.95, service was terrible, will not go there again! This was 8/20/22 It does not deserve a star!

Auditorium 9 with the Dolby Atmos has huge marks on the screen even with the screen on but the recliners were awesome and so was the picture quality and sound. On the other hand the seating is horrible on all the other auditoriums it is incredible upright it distracts you from watching the movie due to so much discomfort. The theater was passable clean and so were the restrooms. I think this theater needs to do so much better starting with the horrible non-inclining seats. I highly doubt that I will ever be coming again. AMC Sunnyvale here I come.

I'm so disappointed with the recent experience at AMC 14. They closed the ticket window and only one staff sells and checks in tickets. There is a long line even at noon on weekdays. The seats in the theater are incredibly uncomfortable. I have to constantly shifting in my seat trying to find a comfortable position. I was appalled by the quality of the sound equipment in the theater. The Ad's volume was too loud and the movie's audio was muffled. I have been to AMC 12 and ICON recently, much better than AMC 14. The theater needs to be renovated.

Very disappointed with AMC Saratoga location. I've look forward to going to the movies, but my experience last night was not a happy one. We paid for IMAX, for the 3 if us totalled over $60. We paid for two large popcorn and 2 large drinks. Total over $40. The seats were awful, they didn't recline, they weren't clean. The soda machines half the flavors were not available. And the popcorn which is usually my favorite with a movie was awful, stale not fresh. And the IMAX experience was no different than a standard theater. Disappointed.

There was popcorn left on many seats when I walked in and there were leftover popcorn tubs sitting out from previous showing. I was there 30 mins early and no one cleaned the theater before the previews started. There were many people in the lobby sweeping but no one to clean the theater so that seemed a little odd. I really enjoy going to the movies but when the tickets are pricey and a bag of candy costs $6 I really appreciate an experience worth the money. The sound would also slightly cut out about every 15 mins for a few seconds.

We are in town on vacation and my son wanted to see Indiana Jones and the dial of destiny. We came to the theater to watch the movie. Over-all the theater was nice but the seats were old and not those reclining seats that are i. other theaters now. Like all theaters the popcorn and candy are extremely overpriced. I would go to the theater again because it was conveniently located near our hotel but there are other theaters around the area that have more comfortable seats. I think the theater should consider upgrading their facility.

I hadn't been to this theater in years after I moved farther away. Now I'm used to other theaters and awesome, heated, comfy reclining chairs. Came here to see Joker a couple of weeks ago, and was unpleasantly surprised at how dated the facility is compared to others nearby. Chairs were worn and uncomfortable, floor was sticky, popcorn was burnt and inedible. Won't return until a remodel is done, because I can pay the same price at Century for much more value. Two stars for the staff though, everyone was nice and helpful!

Have been coming here at least 10 show times mid day and evenings and there's no complaints at all with staff or cleanliness. You can tell it is an older movie theater, the rooms are a tad bit dated but there's still IMAX & Dolby available with their respective seating. Parking isn't a big issue, there's plenty to share with the next door shops/restaurants. Staff are seen sweeping and staying busy throughout the visit. Concession stand lines are usually quick, bar is open, and restrooms are maintained.

Seats aren’t as comfortable with limited recline capabilities and no heating option. Disappointing menu options (no shakes, limited bar, out of damn near everything including the hotdogs, etc). Bathroom had no toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor. They didn’t even have the Avatar cup I had been looking forward to purchasing, a huge bummer to top off an already dismal experience. AMC Sunnyvale is cleaner/better for dates and in general. I will not be returning or recommending this theater.

It's the first movie theatre I've been to that is actually warm to the point I had to remove my jacket. The food line is densely packed and it takes so long for the workers to get to you even when you order through Express pick up. One of the men's restroom had throw up all over the entrance and was put out of order after quite some time. I honestly feel bad for the workers because they have it hard with how many people are there that they need to attend to.

Parking was plentiful (then again, we parked far away in the northwest sector of the parking lot). I don't go to the movies often and was surprised to see seating is now assigned. I actually prefer this. Overall, the theater was clean and comfortable. The sound system and the picture quality were excellent even though we watched John Wick in a standard screen. The sound was not over-bearing and deafening, as is with some other AMCs.

I've paid less money for larger seats. The lady who sat next to me was coughing and sniffling. She took off her mask at one point. She even took off her shoes. We're not in your living room auntie... There were no ushers checking that people were keeping their masks and shoes on. I let the manager know and she gave me free movie passes. They should consider offering a more luxury experience - add larger seats and food service.

Comfortable seats, very good picture quality, terrible sound I am not seeing many movies in the theatre anymore, so when my kids went to see 'Little Mermaid', I joined them. We watched the movie in a Dolby theater (9, I think). The seats were adjustable and very comfortable, the picture quality was very good, but the sound - atrocious: too loud, over-emphasized midrange, no highs. I had much higher (pun intended) expectations!

I like this place. It’s nice, quiet and low-key. The only thing that bothers me is the restroom location. It’s all the way upstairs and not in the same level as the theater entrance. If you’re watching a movie and need to go, it will take you 5 mins to walk there, pee, walk back. Yeah maybe you can do it under 4 minutes but you’ll need to run. I ain’t no teenager anymore. Yeah restroom location is total inconvenience.

The concession stand, lobby areas, and theater interior were acceptable. The bathroom, on the other hand, was the worst I have ever seen. The stalls that were not closed off for maintenance, about half of them, were clogged with toilet paper or unflushed. The floors and the sinks looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. Only one hand towel dispenser had paper in it. Truly disgusting.

I have gotten sick on their popcorn twice. You can see the popcorn just sits in the machine for hours and no new popcorn being made. So just don’t eat their food and you’ll be fine. Other than that the theater is mediocre, nothing special. There are 30 minutes worth of commercials and unless you get the Dolby Theater the seats are pretty uncomfortable. Plus the floors are sticky.

Normal AMC stuff. Watched Top Gun Maverick, 2m after release, so pretty empty theater. The weird thing I noticed was there wasn't an aisle on both sides of the seating row. In times of emergency, I wonder if we (particularly seat # 12s) will have to climb over each other to get to safety. This was in theater #4, not sure how the other halls are. (Bringing down my rating to 3)

Went to go see a movie. Screen was ok but the theater is kind of dirty. When I got out my rental car was broken into along with the car in front of mine. A guy walking by said his car was broken into the week before. The theater needs some security or something for the lot. I was parked in the row right in front of the theater only a handful of cars from the curb. Sad

I am sitting in this theater now on the thanksgiving day! It is not crowded at all. This movie theater is kind of felt old. Seat cushions are old and don’t feel clean. The popcorn supplement station some supplies ran out , but no one changed for a while. The Theater floor is not clean even though I just saw few crow have just went out. There rooms to be improved.

Nothing really wrong with this theater, but it's far behind every other theater I've been to in the South Bay Area. The sound is sub standard. The screena are smaller. The IMAX provides a lesser experience than the normal theater I saw Dune at in Mt View, but it's a decent theater. It's just not an IMAX theater. It's my closest theater but I won't be going back

I was here to watch the Jawan movie as the Newark location doesn't bring Indian films. It was an okay experience as one of the people from the audience was always on the phone with a bright screen while it was dark and the movie was going on. I also felt there weren't many good options except pizza. I'm not sure if I would want to come here again.

We came here to watch Dr. Strange multiverse of madness got disappointed by both the movie and the theatre. The theatre had inconsistent sound and the seats were the most uncomfortable ones of all theatres I've been to. Had many instances when the sound just went off randomly during the movie making the viewing experience even worse.

cheapest amc in the south bay. plenty of parking in shopping mall area. Pizza my heart is next door. kiosks have flaky touchscreen and wobbles when pressing the touchscreen. Only Dolby cinema screens have reclineable seats. some regular screens are so so in picture quality. Male bathrooms have no privacy separator between urinals.

Watched Top Gun today on IMAX, first movie after 2 years. I have to say the non reclining seats, warm atmosphere (was the air conditioning even switched on?), and the cramped seats made it an uncomfortable return to theater watching. Will try a better alternative, in the meantime I’m going back to watching movies from home.

Comfortable chairs, but don’t recline and no room for tall people.seats in upper rows u have to walk in front of others in their seats only one way in/ out of rows. Terrible bathroom near theatre 1 was disgusting and not maintained all paper drying stations closed no toilet paper and sinks and bathroom stalls out of order.

Good screens, very comfy leather seats, good popcorn, and great customer service. The reason that I loved this cinema house. The screen was wide, and the speakers were not too loud. This is a great theatre to watch a movie. It is very comfortable, and it is worth every penny. I can't wait to visit this cinema house again.

The showroom 4 is extremely Messy and there's modes on the nearby the seats, trash and dusty! Please do better job at cleaning. Trashes under the seats. The Most dirty theater I have ever been over 30 different theaters. Please take the feedback and do better cleaning before show time so it's worth the tickets we paid

A fairly decent movie theater. No frills. Some of the screening halls were quite small though. But it does have a gaming center, a large food stall (pop corns, etc.), clean restrooms, pretty much all the normal stuff. There are several stores near the movie theater, and you can spend some time there as well.

A theater that has seen better days. If you are able to go to the Icon in San Jose or Mt. View, but I I highly recommend it. The AMC tickets are $5 more, and the seats are old and don't recline. The sound is OK, but watching Dune in theater 3 it was less than I expected. The staff at AMC was great.

This is a review for the amenities. If im going to spend 20+ a person for a movie, I would like some decent seats and some decent product options. I just went to see DUNE in IMAX, and the seats in this theater felt like new age for 2009. They need to get a remodel going. Staff was nice

I went here for the IMAX 3D experience. 3D glasses were just lying in a heap on the ticket-taker table. The lens they gave me was very dirty. It blurred the movie and took me out of the experience. At Century cinemas you get clean and individually packed glasses.

The theater is somewhat dated. The 3D screen was a bit small and somewhat dim, and the seats didn't recline nor heat up. They should update the place like Sunnyvale AMC. IMAX was big and loud but the seats are fabric and don't recline. Needs updating.

Nice enough, though the high back seats are very stiff and without any flex at all. Not upscale seating, more midscale at best. Screens good, volume appropriate, snacks average - pricey enough to tempt you to bring a purse full of poor people candy.

It’s a fairly large theatre and the staff are fairly nice and accommodate the customers needs. The food/ snacks are pretty good as well, the price of tickets is relatively good but the food price is outrageous which is what makes it not 5/5 stars.

I like this movie theater. It’s not as fancy as AMC in Santa Clara where they have reclining leather seats. But it’s conveniently located. Lots of food and snack options, lots of drinks for the whole family. It has a bar for adults.

Your usual movie theater. Staff members were helpful, sound and audio quality was amazing (we went to Dolby). The seat recliners were rather hard to maneuver, but comfortable! Good popcorn, perfect blend of butter and salt.

It’s not clean, very bad movie experience. The doors kept open so you can hear hallway noise into the theater room. I want to sit and forget everything for 1.5 hour watching a movie which I paid $16 and it was miserable

I watched a movie in the IMAX theater , was good. I like how you can prebuy the tickets and snacks, when you checkin with your QR code, they start getting your snacks ready and no need to stand in line.

Watched the Mamamoo concert in Theater 1. The picture was good but the sound was underwhelming, sounding thin and unsupported in the lower registers. Definitely took away from the experience.

Large screen, good sound quality but some screens have worst possible chairs. It's painful and uncomfortable to sit through a movie with those chairs that don't recline even an inch.

I couldn't have been sitting any more straight up than I was. Watched a lengthy movie - definitely felt it in my back. That said, the person at concession was incredibly pleasant.

The sound wasn’t working properly, but I guess the projectionist didn’t notice or care enough. We ended up getting free tickets after expressing our dissatisfaction to the staff.

Such a fun place to hang out in. Kimmie is a really friendly and helpful employee. She signed us up for the AMC club (the name eludes me). Now we're going to movies every week!

Went here to see Dune with IMAX. The seats were super uncomfortable and didn’t recline AT ALL (not even talking about the full recliners some theaters offer nowadays).

Of all the theaters in the area, I enjoy this theater the most. It is clean, well lit, and many food options in the area. Parking can be a challenge, even on a Monday.

Clean, good snacks, not busy on a Sunday matinee in the Dolby premium theater watching John Wick. Good popcorn and drink selection. Lots of parking. Everything good.

This has been the 5th time today , and in this summer 2023, I have gone to watch a movie and the Air condition is not working in that theater. Go at your own risk

A/C wasn't working in theater 2. Had to leave the movie and walk out. I complained the first time and nothing changed. After 45 min, we told them and walked out.

Seats are old and uncomfortable with scratchy fabric. They don't recline or move or anything. The backs of the row in front also feel really tall.

I saw Oppenheimer here on IMAX. The screen looked standard, and the seats didn't recline or have leg rest. Nothing special, but alright.

A clean and efficient multiplex. I went with my cousin to see the new Spiderman, and it was great, for the multiplex.

The theater was hot and humid, seats were small, concessions were expensive, and the IMAX screen was small.
