"Don’t tell me I’m the first one to think of this as something to (not) do or something that’s already happening: Judging by grouping activity of cars and the occupants who obviously know each other as friends from outside the complex who group and converse in the viewing areas during the showings, their verbal reactions made at moments obviously unrelated to the movie, and the content of their exclamations being out of context of the movies, I’m certain that there is at least one group of people who get a kick out of using spy-type surveillance (cameras, unlit drones, night vision, maybe echo-location microwave imaging technologies - all of which are as inexpensive and easy for anyone to obtain) to watch unsuspecting patrons in their vehicles under the cover of darkness who have a reasonable expectation of privacy"
"Can't do anything about the constant air traffic, but light pollution behind Screen 1 also took away from the experience"
"A unique experience but not every car is well setup for the best experience"
"Always a blast"

Don’t tell me I’m the first one to think of this as something to (not) do or something that’s already happening: Judging by grouping activity of cars and the occupants who obviously know each other as friends from outside the complex who group and converse in the viewing areas during the showings, their verbal reactions made at moments obviously unrelated to the movie, and the content of their exclamations being out of context of the movies, I’m certain that there is at least one group of people who get a kick out of using spy-type surveillance (cameras, unlit drones, night vision, maybe echo-location microwave imaging technologies - all of which are as inexpensive and easy for anyone to obtain) to watch unsuspecting patrons in their vehicles under the cover of darkness who have a reasonable expectation of privacy. It seems to be a fairly regular occurrence. It seems to me that, they have scouts at every screen that let other members of their group know about someone they find interesting, then those alerted members move to another screen to join in their “fun,” which seems to increase when more of the friends are together to react, make jokes and laugh in the presence of each other with the unsuspecting victims just a few cars away. I don’t need to prove this is happening for it to be true. It’s entirely feasible - and probable. If I’m correct, and I would bet a lifetime of bathroom tissue that I am, they are breaking the law due to the fact that people in their vehicles at a drive-in do, in fact, have reasonable expectation/assumption of privacy and anonymity while in their vehicles, which expectation and assumption is made more obvious when they’ve employed window shades, screens and/or tinted windows. I don’t know if the staff/owners are aware of it occurring, but I would be surprised if they didn’t. I do suppose that it’s possible that the establishment be held responsible for not issuing warnings to the unsuspected and to the potential perpetrators of the potential violations of privacy as well as any potential consequences, should something be discovered or some drama unfold. We still have the reasonable expectation of a certain amount of privacy. Perpetrators have the obligation to suffer the consequences for breaking laws. Some games can be very expensive.
Can't do anything about the constant air traffic, but light pollution behind Screen 1 also took away from the experience. The property behind the screens was using extremely bright floodlights. Would it be too much to ask for them to grow a row of trees at the property line behind the screens? Also, the parking spots were a bit too far from the screen. I parked in the front row and the screen was still pretty small. Otherwise, this is a great family experience and good for little kids who might be too noisy or uncontrollable to take to a real movie theater.
A unique experience but not every car is well setup for the best experience. It's a little bit of trial and error to see if your vehicle is well setup for a drive in theatre experience. I used a convertible and the experience was marred by lots of car, motorcycle, and plane landing noises. I would expect it to be similar if you plan to use the back of your car with the lift gate open or a pickup truck. If you have a car with a large panoramic windshield, comfortable seats, I would expect a better experience but your results may vary.
Always a blast. Screen 1 and 2 really need black out screens or a wall to black out all the light coming from buildings behind the screens. Come on west wind drives ins. There's not that many more drive Ins in America any longer. Shine and be proud your still in business. And show your appreciation by making the experience flawless and enjoyable. The staff and management and this particular location should all be ashamed of themselves and get this issue for the whole bay area fixed asap!
This was our first experience at a Drive In Theatre. The picture was clear and the FM radio based audio system worked great. We had no problems getting a good spot. We stayed in the car but other families setup chairs or opened up their mini vans and watched from the back. Make sure you have a well charged battery as we saw a few people who needed a jump after perhaps running their heaters in the car too long.
You definitely go here for the experience and not for the quality! I wouldn't choose really dark themed movies (say like horror movies) to watch here but bright colored movies should be a better choice. It can take you a little bit to find a position in the parking lot you really like so coming early is a good idea! Bring your own food/popcorn/soda whatever and have fun!
The experience is nice. I would 100% recommend it Specially if you have a infant or toddler with you and you want to see a movie this place is for you. As they will be in the car with you so they will enjoy and the pros is nobody (other than people in your car)will get annoyed with their tantrums win win situation for us.
Love this place kinda far but definitely worth it. Drive in use your own radio on vehicle with station provided. Has a place to buys your favorite snacks also if the kids get board give them so money to play video games inside. They have bathrooms too.
Love this place great memories my only problem is I was at screen one and there are bright lights at the business that keep you from seeing your screen it'd be great if they can hang some curtains from the screen that would block them
