The service is awesome. There is a button to push when you are ready to order. They have the menu on the table, and a convenient light under the table. The temperature was ideal, I am usually a cold person in Cinemas, but here I was in shorts and I felt warm enough to enjoy the movie. I highly recommend Alamo Cinema.
I love this place. Always an amazing experience and a great facility. They recently started forcing you to pay 18% tip regardless of service. I always pay more tip than that, but it irks me when I'm forced to. I'll stop ordering food there as much. I wish they paid their employees more instead of forcing us to.
We utilize the Alamo pass and it has come in useful in these hard economic times. While the prices here do seem a bit high, I understand that this is a unique experience. Alamo Drafthouse has been my go to theater franchise for years. It's clean and comfortable with nice and pleasant staff.
The sound on the Barbie movie was absolutely mind-blowing. Was that 9.1 or something more? So perfect! And the service for food & beverages was stellar. Not only steller, but silent... or quiet! Excellent!! So glad we came to this place to watch that movie.
A great alternative to the everyday theater. Good food and good service. It's an Austin original. Just beware, this parking lot and surrounding lots have lots of theft. My truck was stolen from this area. Hide your belongings and lock your doors.
We had our first movie experience at the Alamo Drafthouse this afternoon! Even at noon on a Tuesday, our theatre was completely full, so be sure to buy tickets in advance, especially if you want good seats! Although expensive, the food does
Don't go to this cinema, on the weekend I went with my partner to the last 1 hour and 50 minute show, there were still quite a few cars in the place but by surprise, when we were about to get into the car, our glass had been broken and They
I bought my ticket online and when I got there, in the bathroom, there was a sign that said they will add an 18% gratuity to my purchases. They charged me $7.60 for a coke without alcohol in the bar and that included a 18% gratuity. I asked
Worst movie experience. Singled out while nearly the only 2 African Americans in the showing. We were asked to reframe from talking even though we barely spoke. When asked if someone complained we were told yes. The staff should’ve had the
Cool theater...just overpriced. Took our wings when we weren't completely finished..they put a service charge on your bill which is cool but still promote tipping...bill was $80 for food..bottomless popcorn, 2 order of wings, loaded fries
They bounced back from covid and made some changes. It was nice coming back after so long. The experience went well overall. The chairs could use an update. Also, the cost to eat there is reasonable for the venue and there's now a service
Great service and always great food. We watched the new hunger games the other night here and ofcourse enjoyed it. They had regular theater seating though which was a let down when compared to our favorite location, mueller. That has the
Overall i like Alamo but they are now automatically adding an 18% tip which defeats the purpose of a tip which is to reward good service. I been quite a few times where it took 30mins for them to come back by for our request. They should
I usually enjoy these theaters and have never had an issue before, but I struggle to read their menu with the low lighting so it's difficult to order anything once the movie starts. I needed to use my phone for lighting to read, mind you
Excellent place to see film. Great food service, they deserve the added service charge and more. Excellent projection for several films I saw there. Most digital theatres I go to are dim and the colors are washed out. It’s depressing.
I’m a fan of the brand Alamo however the seats are not very comfy considering the competition. If I go to an AMC or Regal theater seats are wider and recline, not at Alamo. The menu needs to be changed. It’s decades old and boring and
Not as comfy as other theatres, but having food options is nice. I had the fish and chips and had ranch on the side. I liked their ranch. Fish was very well battered, and tartar sauce was yummy. We did decide on an appetizer after we
This was unfortunately the worst Alamo Drafthouse experience we’ve had. Our server never came back to our table, which I wouldn’t really care, but it was absolutely freezing in the theatre, so I desperate for something hot to drink!
It was my first time going here to see any movie and it was retro and wonderful. The prices were very reasonable. The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and professional. Highly recommend going if you haven't yet.
Updating my review from 2 stars to 5. This Alamo went through a rough patch earlier in the year with mediocre service and food, but I’m happy to report that both the service and food are great again as of November, 2023!
Parking is always a headache. And now they automatically charge an 18% “service fee”/automatic tip. My check ended up being $16 for a PRETZEL! I had also gotten popcorn but that was supposedly free with my reward.
It's a cool place to catch a movie and eat dinner. Food is just above average for a restaurant. We had the fried pickles, and Pizzas. My opinion, the pizza was fine, as we're the pickles. Had better but had worse.
Awesome theater with excellent service. The tables are bigger here than from other Alamos, so it is perfect for shared meals or snacks. The audience was more into the film, so it made the experience more fun.
18% mandatory service fee, good luck with that. We will not be returning here! Prices were already high, then we see this sign on our way out. This used to be an American establishment.
This is a great theatre! There's adequate parking for the number of customers in the 8 theaters. The seats are very comfortable. The temperature is perfect--no sub zero temps inside.
Great movie theater! The staff is always friendly and quick with bringing our orders. There are always a lot of fun events for kids and backdrops to take pics in front of.
Love Alamo.. have a monthly pass however, I do wish their food offerings felt like you were getting what you paid for but that’s is almost every restaurant or food service.
I love Alamo! Just went to my first Rowdy showing and it was fun! This theater is really close to me, but it hasn't been upgraded to the reclining seats yet.
Always a great experience. Great movies. Attentive staff. Food is great. Love their pizza & avocado toast. Daughter is vegan & she has options.
LOVE ME SOME ALAMO! BEST Trailers and preview content. Great food and drinks. Best movie popcorn with real butter and the most amazing
