I would like to thank Dimitri and Alex for making my experience dealing with my electrical problems less stressful than it could have been. They came to trouble shoot my problem, provided a solution, and several suggestions which was much appreciated. After deciding on a plan which would take a couple of weeks to implement, I experienced another electrical problem. Alex came promptly and quickly fixed the problem without charge. This was highly unexpected and certainly makes me feel that he has my interests in mind. Update: I had a circuit breaker panel installed. It was a very long day with a few glitches requiring more materials and more time. However, Alex and Dimitri worked tirelessly to fix the problems without additional cost (again much appreciated). I am very happy with their work and will continue to hire them. Update: I had my baseboard heaters and thermostats replaced...much more efficient. Alex came and did all of the work. Even though the price was negotiated well in advance and materials costs had gone up, he kept to the original quote. I will now use Alkon for the electrical work in my kitchen renovations. Updated: After a long delay due to Covid, my kitchen renovations started. Alex and Dmitri made time out of their busy schedule to do the wiring in the kitchen in order not to compromise the contractor's schedule. The work was done quickly and they corrected the problems in the wiring so my electrical system is safe. Again, another successful job. I will continue to use them for my next project.

We had Alkon come and do some major work. Alex and Dimitri came and listened to what we wanted done and talked us through the cost, options and future electrical needs. We're were sent quotes and agreed to go ahead with the work. The first part they sent wires under the kitchen for an upcoming reno and boxed them in. They added an outlet for a future electric laundry dryer and and several regular plugs. The florescent lights were removed along with some sketchy older wiring in the basement and replaced with LED pot lights throughout the basement. A work area in the basement was also wired up with a multitude of plugs and switches. So much better! We talked about outlet placement and what they would be used for as it changes the Amp requirements. They even fixed a pot light that was broken for a decade. Second part was replacing the panel and changing service from 100 to 200 Amp to accommodate a future electric car charger and different appliances. They coordinated with Toronto Hydro and pulled permits for all the work. The only interaction with Toronto Hydro for us was a fee directly for the wires from the street to the house. They labled the new panel and cleaned up. Alex, Dimitri and another older gentleman we all very polite, tidy, considerate, informative and clear in their communication. We were very happy with their services. Would highly recommend.

We contacted Alkon Electric because we needed an outlet for our new freestanding range (coming from a built-in cook-top and wall oven). They responded to our inquiries right away and even made time for us on the same day for the install. Other firms that I reached out to did not return our calls or get back to us. As a matter of fact I called other contractors over two days ago and have still received no response or follow up. The two electricians that showed up were friendly and courteous. They explained in detail everything that was required and were very timely in completing everything. We were not in a rush at all but they were very efficient and that is commendable for their sake and ours. This company was very enjoyable to deal with and I would not hesitate for a second to use them again for our future electrical needs. Highly recommended!!!

Dimitri responses right away to my inquiry about adding a gfci outlet outside, as well as one in my laundry room. He gave me an excellent estimate, and arranged for a time to meet. When he arrived to the house, Dimitri and his associate were professional and courteous. They inspected the areas needing upgrading, explained exactly what would need to be done and even suggested some great alternatives to help save on, what would have been, installation involving cutting in to ceilings. Their prices were so reasonable, I decided to add a second gfci outlet outside. They were finished the job within an hour, and had cleaned up after they were done. They also both wore masks the entire time, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend Alkon, and will absolutely be using their services in the future.

During the March 3 thundersnow storm a large branch of the tree on our front lawn snapped and fell on our service line which shorted out our circuit panel and knocked out most of our power. I called Alex of Alcon Electric and he came out the next day to assess the situation. Within a minute of meeting with him, I felt confident that I had made the right decision. Alex and his team were courteous, concerned about my situation and professional. Honestly, I must say they are arguably the best service people I have dealt with. They identified the problem and described the steps needed to address the issue,. They stayed until 8 pm to finish the job and called in the morning to see if the hydro had followed up. I found Alex on a Google search after the original electrician I had booked completely no showed on me. At first Alex told me he wouldn't be available for at least a week which was completely understandable given the short notice. Luckily he found himself in the area and was able to come in the same day. He is maybe the seventh person to come to our venue and assess the issue but he is the ONLY person who was able to correctly diagnose the problem AND offer a solution. He was polite, professional, and a real joy to work with. I'd definitely use his services again and will gladly recommend him to anyone needing electrical work done.

Alex and Dimitri did an excellent job on the installation of a new sub panel. They were the only company that came out to give me a quote actually. They were able to come out to do the work within a week of talking to them, and they were on time. Their work was neat and they cleaned up my main breaker as well. I needed to replace some light switches with a timer switch and a couple of 3-way switches, as well as a pull chain switch with a wall switch. I was hearing electric hum in the house for few months and finally decided to call Alkon for the first time. Dimitri paid a visit in a short notice and fixed the problem in less than 20 min by disconnecting an old transformer that was not in use at all. Alex was amazing; the condo fan for the dryer ceased and Alex fixed it by cleaning the motor and the area around the motor! This would have cost a lot of money but Alex advised that to take it a step at a time, ie he will try to clean the motor first and not to worry! After a long and stressful evening our issue was solved.Came home to electrical issue with no 240 volt service. As older couple we called business called Alkon and spoke with Alex at 6pm.He was very patient and helpful. Walked me through a few procedures and would not take my service call instead insisting I call Toronto Hydro first.Ended up with complete new service from pole to house. Alkon Electric did some work for me previously when I lived on a condo. Now I've moved onto a house and was not disappointed with their service when they came back. They reconnected the clevis to my house (it holds the electric wires coming into your house), the previous owners didn't seem to notice or care. So it was a priority for saftety. Alkon did a great job and saved me loads of money. I definitely recommend them to anyone that needs electrical work done.

Very impressed with the service I received. I ran into some surprised electrical issues when installing some new appliances - Dimitri was obviously knowledgeable and was able to quickly identify the required fixes. My house went dark on new years eve, I tried resetting the breakers but still no lights, I called Toronto hydro but it was not the lines. I called Alkon Electric the came the next day on time, Dimitri inspect the panel and my main breaker was rotten out, I replaced the panel instead of repair. I mentioned a couple things I need done and asked him to come by and give us a quote. He told me there would be a service fee for a quote... ridicules.
