Terrible experience today at North Hobart Post Office at 1600. Similar to below comments, terrible customer service by the lady I was served by who was chewing gum behind the counter. I sent my mother to pick up parcels for me today (with the card that was left) - on my app, my mother had permission to pick up. She was only given one of the two parcels. I went back after work, no apology for only giving my mother the one parcel. Aggressive in her manner and spoke down to me, slammed down her machine after I had signed my name and generally gave me a difficult time - I left in tears. Treated me as if I was a huge inconvenience. When I said gently there was no need to be rude, she stated ‘not rude, just busy’ and then dismissed me for the next customer before I could respond. This unhelpful, rude woman was clearly not coping with the Christmas rush, was walking around the back of the desk stating ‘Welcome to Christmas at North Hobart Post Office’ because there was a line of customers - are we meant to feel guilty for going to the post office? She certainly should not be front of counter. Busy does not give you a licence to be rude, ever.

The staff are rude, impatience and always talk down. I never ever receive a card on my PO box and they always trying to convince me that happened and I missed it. They don't even listen to customers and just want to talk and say thing that not related to them or not their business. I use the postal service quite frequently and it's always a headache. AU Post should reconsider their HR policies. I lived in the CBD for a couple of month and I received an exceptional and fantastic service from CBD post office. Lovely staff, caring and good manners. I cannot believe this branch also is a part of the same company. It's like they outsource the business to somebody who is just running it for many and doesn't care about customer service and CSAT rates.

The people that work there are very rude in my opinion we went to go return somthing they said we need to go and bring the boxes that came with it we bought this phone there are it stoped turning on in less then 2 months we trried to return it they said we need to call people and they will fix it and we said we don’t want it to be fixed we want a return they said no and this lady went into the back rooms for like 5 minute and she came back saying we didn’t bring the SIM card hmm sus don’t recommend

exceptionally rude service (if you could even call it that), even small tasks or requests seem to displease staff and as a customer you feel as though a favour is being provided even though it is you whom is the one paying, one would think the staff would be more appreciative of having a job whilst many others in the community cease to be employed, im afraid its been long overdue for Australia post to pick up their game so i wont be holding my breath :(

Very bad customer service. Went to take a photo for visa purpose, he didnt even show the picture and hand me out the hard copy of the picture. On top of that i wanted the urgent picture in my email. I had clearly written down my email address there and the man sent it to the wrong email address. It wasn't even busy to rush the job but because of him my visa will be delayed now.

Very bad service.. went for get Passport size the lady clicked photo very bad she even didn’t send the photo on email I have asked 2 times .. not recommend at all for passport size photo..

I go regularly to this Post Office. I have never encountered anything but friendly and helpful service. In addition, the shop is well laid out and stocked.

Great post office and for small place has good range of phones ect and good for local post office
