Appalling lack of service. I waited for 20 minutes along with 6 other groups of shoppers for someone to come and serve us at the four supposedly staffed registers. I finally rang the store to ask for someone to serve me. She said she'd send someone. No one came. Eventually, the poorly-trained staff member on the self-serve checkouts walked over and told me there would be no one to serve me. I asked why she hadn't told me that 15 minutes earlier. She said she'd been left unsupervised. Once again, something she could have said 15 minutes earlier. I then waited in a long queue for the self serve checkouts, three of which were out of order. I tried to phone the manager. I was told I'd be put through to the night manager. No one answered the phone after 8 minutes. Why have registers that are purely ornamental?

I have an active layby, I went in yesterday to pay off some funds and was given a receipt to reflect the payment. I went back to the service desk to ask for an itemised receipt, reason being, to avoid double ups with presents for Xmas from other family members. I was told we can’t print and give you an itemised receipt. If I’m expected to pay for these goods why aren’t I allowed to be reminded what I have on layby and what I’m paying for? I’ve looked in layby terms and conditions and FAQ’s on Big W’s website, I looked around at the amount of signs they had up at the service desk and I couldn’t find anything or anywhere that stated I was not allowed an itemised receipt. So was it a matter of I can’t have an itemised receipt or the clerk won’t do it for me?

Quite disappointing to say the least. No stock, and we couldn't get the items we went there to get. We drove 3 hours to get there from where we live, no Big W stores down where we live. The items we went there to get, were items only Big W usual have, but there was some end of finacial year sale on, so all the usual stock wasn't on the shelf. The assistant said they didn't know if or when those items would be back in stock, or if they ever would be again. A lot of the clothes on the shelves seemed to be the cheaper brand, Orion and Anka brand, mainly a tracky style casual clothing, and no good dress clothing, like dress jeans and shirts, so we waisted our time in there. As I said, disappointing.

A long wait to be served only one person on checkout. I do not want to go to self serve. The person on checkout was lovely. I spoke to lady helping self serve people and said to her nicely that she might get someone else to serve and she told me they only do that if there is 10 or more people lined up. I guess Big W is no longer providing customer service very poor. If you dont provide customer service in store people will shop online but not necessarily at Big W. I go into a store to look at products and have an interaction with a human not a machine.

Lots of sleep deprived dad's running on hate and anger as a fuel source, driving miss Daisy must mean a lot of people forgot how to walk. There should be an old persons seat on trolleys like children have. They get in the way and slow people down. "Suggestion box that one". I have drawings if anyone wants to see. Just don't go to Marion on a Sunday, it will suck the life " or what life you have at this point" away from you. Just slower.

The store is well laid out and has big inside everywhere, so finding the items you're looking for is a breeze. The aisles are wide, too. The staff are very friendly and helpful and friendly and went above and beyond with their assistance. It's rare to receive the level of great service offered. I couldn't be happier with my experience. I definitely recommend shopping at Big W Marion.

So impressed with the customer service I received from Kathy in the Party Store at Marion this morning. I needed to order balloons for an up-coming 90th birthday & Kathy went out of her way to assist me with design & colour selection & providing me with information for if I need to amend my order down the track. I’ll be back to see Kathy for all my future party needs!

Located in Marion Westfields this Big W was well set out and well stocked. It offered great variety in every department. The store is big and clean and the staff friendly... I found there was a greater option in the homeware range than I had seen at home and the products very on trend with todays style.. The prices are always great and affordable. 4****

Would have liked to shop more because some great products and prices, but not today. When I arrived a lovely young woman was able to point me where I needed to go with a big smile. Wanted ink for my printer. Amazing man with very beautiful manners and service skills helped me find what I needed. This is what makes a great business-the staff

It was 4 years since we had been to Big W,the last time that we visited Oz and I must say,the underwear I bought then was still as good as new ( no,I didn't bring it back for exchange lol ) the clothes and shoes and anything else you can buy at Big W was all worth the money,bargains to be had,a great store,10 out of 10.

I had a lovely lady help me try to find an item (shower caps) I was looking for, sadly there were none left, but she came back to me with the information that they were due in within 1-2 days. It's so nice to get assistance these days, it doesn't happen often. Thank you to that sales assistant in health and beauty!

Had a disastrous Click & Collect experience, stock availability for the item was all wrong (dragged me to the store 2 times) l and then they picked the wrong items for me again thru the click and collect leading to the 3rd wasted trip to the store, causing alot of hassle, frustration and waste of time!

An inexpensive place to shop. Great products and great prices. Not very many service staff to ask for assistance, but when they are around they are extremely helpful. Also checkout staff are extremely polite and friendly. Will always shop there when in the area. My compliments to all the staff there.

used to be great now u cant contact them bcause their phones are put through to a call centre drive 25 mins only to find out they dont have stock when a store could have told me that. if your stores are open so your phone lines should be.

Can't stand the pay in the centre of the store, and self check out. Winding your way through the junk isle to get there. And then having you bags checked on the way out. Ridiculous! I do love the shops merchandise though …

They currently stock LA Gear shoes, which I coveted throughout my childhood in the '80s. 2 weeks ago, I finally became the proud owner of a pair of hi-tops. For this, Big W Marion, I will award you an extra star.

There is always a line up at the checkouts and the change rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. The carpet is worn down to the lino underneath and feels disgusting when standing on it to try on clothes.

Rude party store member, the attitude when saying “this is what the sign is for”. Apparently 1 single balloon couldn’t be done. 1 single balloon. At 8:30 in the morning. Basically no one in the shop.

Used to really dislike this store but the staffing issues seem to have been fixed and it's generally a decent place to shop. Super glad the girls at the tech counter don't collect Pokemon.

Good range but always a queue when I have been. Waited 10mins to buy a dust pan and broom. Often leave without buying anything as I can't be bothered queuing at the checkout..

Went in for 1 thing. Had a bit of trouble finding it until the helpful staff spotted me. Fair price so I bought two, and a microwave plate cover too. Both are working well

30 mins and still waiting for someone to come to their electrical dept. If you don't want to have someone manning this section, don't lock your tablets up …

Same as other BigW stores..but don't forget to pay you lay-by...as they put it back in store without any notice & take your deposit too...lesson learnt

Staff are always friendly and the online stock count is generally more reliable than kmart. Big w is always a bright happy environment to shop in.

A massive Big W store with huge variety of items. It actually takes a while to move from one corner to the other. The staff is very helpful.

Not much has changed in their layout I used to work at my big W as a youngster back in quld so it was easy to find what I was looking for.
