This is a beautiful area right near the city. After a few minutes on the trail you stop noticing city sounds and actually feel the nature. This is a great walk when you don’t have time to get to a bigger hike. This is a great hike for non-hikers that’s just a little more than an accessible walk. The trail is that sweet spot between hike and walk. The main trail is about a 2.5 mile loop. I took it slow with a 4 year old and 6 other friends with mixed hiking experience/ability. The trail was not too crowded and there was pretty good shade throughout.

Great trails with varying levels of difficulty. This is a beautiful and well kept park. Not crowded during the week, can become a bit more crowded on the weekends. We only take our dog with us during the week, there can be a larger number of dog owners there on the weekend and not all of them follow the leash laws. Still, a highly recommend park.
Dog-friendliness
We love taking our dog here, she loves walking the trails and MOST of the other people that bring their dogs remember to respect the leash laws, which is appreciated.

Finished the Henry Hollow Loop and Laurel Woods Trail (10-12 miles in total) today. The whole thing took about 5 hours. The trail is very uppy-downy and harder than it looks. Start early, take plenty of water and snacks. There were entire sections of the trial (especially deeper in) with not a single person. The trails are dog-friendly. There were about 5 water crossings (pretty shallow). I counted 4 downed trees on the trail that I had to either walk around or climb over. Apply bug spray and beware of ticks. The park is beautiful!

This was a beautiful place. I walked the 2-mile Henry Hollow Loop Trail. There was some elevation but overall an easy-moderate hike. There are other options for trails as well, including a 6 and 12-mile loop. Leashed dogs are allowed. There are trail maps available by the Creekside Trailhead.
Restrooms
There is a porta-potty by the Creekside Trailhead.
Dog-friendliness
Dogs are allowed on a leash.

Such a beautiful area! Hiked along the creek and trails. It was quiet and scenic and everything I was looking for. Brought my pups out, as they are allowed on leashes. They gave it two paws up! The different trails are marked and there are maps available. The only downside is bathrooms. There was a port-a-pot on the lower trail but...eww. And nothing along the trail. So that's the reason for taking away 1 star.

Fantastic peaceful park. Had time to kill before our flight home later that day and googled nature parks. This popped up, looked interesting and so wr wrmt. Heather was wonderfully full of info and answered all our questions plus some. She also directed us to a nice short nature hike that was beautiful and full of wild flowers. Should I ever get to return to Nashville I am going to return and hike more trails!

This park is beautiful and the trails are well cared for. It’s a bit strenuous at times but if you take the steep parts slow it isn’t too bad. We were able to hike this trail with our two kids and our dogs. This park also has a lot of events throughout the year that are worth checking out!

Wow!!!!!! What a gorgeous park. Fall colors are superb. Lots of parking. AMAZING hiking trails with moderate difficulty - hills, roots, lots of rocks. Wear a good pair of boots if you plan to hike. One Porta potty, a few picnic spots. Very nice. Open dawn til dusk.

Great place for some hiking. Trails range from 1/4 mile to 12 miles. Plenty of parking. Nice restrooms at one entrance and a Porta potty at the other one. Pets allowed, please bring poop bags.
