I've always had a decent experience at this location, but yesterday blew me away. I was looking for a particular calculator that was in low stock in most places, and I talked to Christina at the front help desk to see if I could find it by the end of the day. She was immediately friendly and warm. She looked up the item at the store, told me that it wasn't in stock there but gave me the other Best Buy locations where it was in stock, and even called the closest store to do a physical inventory check to make sure it was actually present. I wanted to order it and make sure that it wouldn't happen to be sold by the time I got there, so she called over another employee named Victoria to help me with the order. Victoria was super sweet and friendly as well, and even complimented my voice out of the blue! We placed an order at one of the closest stores, and I was able to pick it up without a hitch. Overall, a fantastic customer service experience.
I got some gift cards for Christmas presents for people out of city. My aunt went to use it at the restaurant and there were no funds on it! She was embarrassed and I was embarrassed that she had to go through that with what I gave her. It caused a lot of unnecessary drama in the family. I called Best Buy and was told my only option is to have her mail it to me so I can go back to the darn store to exchange it and then mail it back to her. Wth. Oh and I have a window to get this done in, like it was my fault. I am not pleased. Not giving 1 star because all the other gifts seem to have been delivered and have no issues... so far...
Not worth 1 star. The manager is sitting at the front and too busy to say hello much less answer a question or provide customer service. Simply telling a customer "over there under the blue sign, if we even have it!!!! " THEN he continues to sit watching me as I walk in circles!!! Do not waste your time or money on this location. The only saving grace was the employee that finally helped me! Maybe replace the manager that's sitting, too busy, rude, etc. I can't imagine how he treats others! How would he have treated my elderly mother??? When I left, NOT A SINGLE WORD, not a goodbye, thank you, NOTHING! Horrible experience!
Bought KitchenAid dishwasher here about 2 years ago. This replaced our 25 year old unit that had ZERO issues over it's lifetime. About 6 months after installation, we noticed black mold / mildew growing around the black rubber seal on bottom of the unit. The black seal makes it very difficult to see the mold!!?? We have now cleaned the unit with vinegar & baking soda several times but the mold always returns. Did not have this issue in over 20 years with previous KitchenAid dishwasher. Very disappointed in KitchenAid & Best Buy for making / selling such an obviously flawed appliance.
Worst customer service I’ve ever had. Went there to return an item the last day for return was passed by 3 days after talking to customer service on the phone they told me it’s okay but you get store credit I told them I was fine with that the store manager said they can’t do it and asked where were you for the last when the return was eligible even they should have not asked me this question, next day I went to El Cajon Best Buy they didn’t ask me why I was late to return it and gave me store credit without interrogation El Cajon branch gets 5 ⭐️
God forbid you have to work with the guy named Andrew on the nerd squad here. I was 6 minutes late to an appointment because I had never been to this god forsaken mall and drove all the way from East County because this was the quickest appointment I could make to fix my phone and it needed to happen ASAP because I need it for work. I was not informed that if I am 5 minutes late they would cancel my appointment, and now Im up a creek and the manager Andrew was even less helpful. Screw this Best Buy, do yourself a favor and never come here.
Typical Best Buy. It’s one of those companies that you’ve been to one you’ve been to them all. Friendly staff at this location. Greeted as walked into the building. Asked if needed help. Was shown the area I needed to go and also answered any questions I had in a manner that I could understand. I’m not the best with technology. Check out was fast and easy, (which make a change from my local store). Receipt checked at on the way out which was totally fine. I would make this my local store if I could but it’s in another state.
I would leave Zero stars is I could. I wish I could leave more than one review for the store. If anyone working for Best Buy who has any control over customer service reads this, please understand that your employees working in store do not want to help your customers. It is Sunday Jan 3 at 11am so your staff today is really rude, like unbelievable. They are annoyed, flippant, and lazy. Furthermore, when calling Best Buy on the phone, hold times to talk to someone at this store over an hour.
Best Buy does not take responsibility for its deliveries. They outsource to UPS. I received 3 notifications of delivery. The first day was sometime between noon and 11pm - no show. Next day sometime between noon and 9pm no show, today sometime between noon and 5pm still no show, now it sometime between now and 9pm... called the store where I purchased. No help just apologizes. Got it your sorry... so I’m i. All i want to know is when my packages are going to show up.
Incredibly helpful guest service staff; assisted me with a return and left me feeling grateful and cheery. How often can you say that after waiting in line at Customer Service!? This team truly exemplified knowledge and care throughout my experience, in-store. My online order/phone-assistance was wonderful as well. Had a very bad experience with robotic “Geek squad” people who didn’t want to return a Tv which was broken. I dealt with the TV gently and it was the second Tv I tried from 2 left and both were broken. The second Tv they accused me of breaking and didn’t want to return it. Horrible customer service. I’ve owned TV’s my whole life and I’m extremely gentle with them.
Awesome! I love Best Buy and the Geek Squad. I bought a Microsoft surface last January and had issues with the mouse pad and Geek Squad protection plan. It was sent out and returned not fixed-they didn't hesitate to give me store credit so I could replace it. The Geek Squad guy was lovely and the sales person awesome! Thanks Best Buy, you have a customer for life!
The staff at Best Buy La Jolla is awesome. From what I see going in there regularly, everyone likes what they do and they enjoy helping everyone. Also, it seems to me that there is low turnover, so the management must be doing something right. Worked at Beast Buy when I was in college and loved every minute of it! I highly recommend this location.
It was my first time at this particular Best Buy. I know times are hard right now so I won't slam them. There was no one in the area that I needed help in. One of the guys in another area said he'd get someone to help me. Several sales people in computer area. Eventually, someone came, helped me; the other person that needed help left. It's sad.
Never visited this one in La Jolla - can't say it was easy to find - only time I've been to a location where it wasn't the obvious "anchor' of the property - but when we did find it, it had what we were looking for and the sales associate was helpful. I wouldn't drive out of my way to go there, but it made me like BB a little bit better.
We recently purchased 3 large TVs, the staff at the store were very helpful. Kennan and Matt (from the geek squad) did a great job installing the TVs. They were very careful to mount the TVs correctly and with bringing things in and out of our home. They also did a great job of cleaning up afterwords. We highly recommend them.
So their is a sign that say “ covered parking “ and has Bestbuy Amc and some other business I don’t remember. B warned for Best Buy the back door seems to be shut on this Sunday. So you have to walk around or through mall like hallway of the amc . As far as the Best Buy it is also a smaller Best Buy in Normal
This is the worst Nest Buy I've been to. Horrible customer service. Maybe it's a Covid thing (short staffed and everyone out spending money). I came in to buy a $4k TV, and not one employee could help me. Ended up leaving the store and ordering my TV on Amazon from the parking lot of Best Buy.
I've lived in San Diego for quite some time now, and when I heard about this place and checked it out, there was no turning back. The best Bahn mi in town. I'm really glad they reopened after the fire. The bread is fresh, has the hard crust, with soft inside. My go to is the grilled pork.
This store is closing March 4th. They are clearing out the inventory and store, there isn’t much left. Not sure the exact reasoning why they are closing but it’s sad to see it go. There were deals to be had but the discounts aren’t that amazing, but you never know, you might find a gem.
Charlie was fantastic! She was respectful, helpful and solved my problems. GeekSquad, on the phone for 5 hours, going from level 1 to 2. They removed many of my program's. I was very upset. But Charlie reinstalled my program's and found everything they deleted THANK YOU Charlie!
Best buy is a Best buy. All of them are pretty much the same. Always happy going to one. Even if they don't have what I need I like to browse around. But get ready for every employee to ask you if you need help finding something, sometimes twice from the same employee.
I appreciated their help and kindness with exchanging my headphones that broke since I had the insurance thankfully. I recommend it because if anything happens you get it replaced for free or if the item is discontinued then you can apply the credit to a new item.
Couldn't fix my PC. Haven't been able to use it for 6 months plus. Multiple turn ins and issue was never resolved and now they refuse to accept any further repairs. Now I have to go to a different store to resolve the issue.
Got help immediately to find the right replacement fridge. I needed a very specific size with "counter depth". Kitchen aid is what we had and I found a similar one right away! A great experience! And a sale price to boot.

Best Buy is always a good reputed place to buy gadgets in all departments. This shop has stocks of products normally. New parking structure has been built, hence a lot of parking space added in the premises.
Today I had the pleasure being helped by Angel at the La Jolla store. He solved issues on my Android phone. He provided outstanding service and I left the store as a happy customer. Thank you Angel!
Best Buy has even you need! I want to see a TV not just order online. But they have everything! Including kitchen appliances. You can order online, pickup in store, and don't forget Geek Squad!
Very not friendly to international shoppers - their trade-in service will require a driver’s license or a state ID, a passport wouldn’t even work. This is all so ridiculous and a waste of time.
As I frantically searched for Bluray, I was shocked to find 3 people sitting around just watching me. Furthermore, they refused to price match a price online until I spoke to a manager.
They are closing this store so the shelves are empty and staff recommended that we go to a different store (still Best Buy). The few products that they had were still pricey.
Jared, one of the managers, made the whole experience of buying TV actually enjoyable. Soooo much better selection and service than Costco. Will go back for sure.
