I bought a bike from this shop in 2018. Andy insisted on me paying cash. I went and withdrew the £280 and handed them over to him. He also chucked in some free stuff which I think it was an effort of him to convince me to buy the bike. He wouldn’t let me to try the bike. I rode the bike immediately and in the first 5 minutes breaks, wheels, everything wasn’t right. I took it back and said I can’t ride it. He said, sorry but no returns. Since then, the idea of riding the bike has made me cringe. The basket was resting on the front wheel with no additional support, applying pressure to the front wheel. The back wheel break would be always clamped on the wheel, making riding even harder. I tried to fix these issues in other places as well as Andy’s but they would always return. The bell, fell of after 2 weeks. At some point I was just tired fixing things that were never right from the beginning. And of course every seller knows their products. Knowing that you have a faulty product and selling it, is bad work ethics. It is the worst buy of my life. A lump of money never to be seen again and someone who wasn’t really interested in customer service but biased by his own interests. It took me 4 years to write this review because I was trying to rationalize and excuse the bad costumer service and blame it on me. Be careful, be smart. Don’t make buys when feeling vulnerable. Also be careful who you buy from. There are professionals who take pride in delivering customer service. Now after all this the bike is ending in the dump where it had to be and not on shop window

Andy was extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with, in addition to being very professional. (Also, when I asked, he was happy to provide some education while he fixed things.) Further, his service turnaround was very quick, which was important because I don't have a spare bike. On top of that, the price was cheaper than other places in town I called. It's a little further away from me than some of the other shops, but I will be coming here and sending others here without hesitation. If you're looking for a good shop, with good service, and good service prices, I had a very positive experience, and I enthusiastically recommend it.

Andy at Bikeology has sorted out so many things for me and bike, that has needed a lot of love to keep it on the road. There's barely a part on it that hasn't needed replacing at some stage. Having complete trust in your local shop to advise the right parts for you, without a hint of salesmanship, makes the whole process a whole lot easier. I've been using the shop for a while now and the personal care I get really makes the place stand out from the competition. The workshop can get busy though so it's worthwhile calling ahead, or sticking your head in if you're local enough, when you're needing a bit of fixing to your machine!

Took my bike here after feeling a bit let down from the other bike repair shop on Smithdown not a million miles away. Very happy with the level of service from Andy. Job was to disconnect and re-route my cabling back through frame and through new handlebars purchased elsewhere. This was done sooner than the time quoted with what I would describe as a competitive price. However was good to have additional touches like double checking torque settings on components, my brakes adjusted to be more responsive and lever positions adjusted to aid my riding style. I wouldn’t hesitate to use again, thanks.

Fantastic and efficient service from knowledgable, experienced staff who are clearly passionate about what they do. The service feels personal and the time is taken to ensure you are leaving satisfied that the job has been done properly. I've also bought another bike here for my son and Andy made sure I was getting the right bike for him and not just a bike he liked. I'd recommend anybody to visit this shop for any cycling needs.

My bike was in quite a state, my gears weren't working, my chain was slipping constantly. I took it to Bikeology and it was ready when they said it would be, the staff are friendly and helpful, it was also cheaper than the original price that was initially was given. Brand new wiring and cogs, spot on, I took it for a long ride and it's like riding a brand new bike. I will deffo be dropping in again, cheers!

If you need any repair on your bike just give these guys a go. I'm glad I've found this shop. Three times they had my bike for cassette/chain replacement, brakes bleeding, wheel truing and a broken spoke replacement I had the bike back few hours later on the same day. Not just a very good and quick repairs but also awesome customer service, a place that you feel welcome. Will always recommend.

This is by far the best bike shop in the North West. Very very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nothing is to much trouble for them. I woudnt go any were else for anything to do with my bike. They are always on hand to help if needed! They are quick to when they do repairs and its always done to a professional standard. I would deffo recommend Bikeology to anybody!

I recently had my bike serviced by Andy ! I'm very hard on my bike "Donkey", it's ridden hard in all conditions and was in a bit of a state ! Donks came back , greased , freshly cabled and rear hub rebuilt and for a very modest amount ! He obviously knows his stuff and donks was ready in time to undo his good work the following weekend , ha ha, 5 stars , spot on !

Went in to see Andy today with a huge problem, mountain bike pivot bearings that I couldn’t remove, stopping me from riding the bike until fixed. Andy came up with a solution and had them out in minutes! Saved me a summer of riding and a costly replacement job, not only that but Andy refused to take any money from me… a genuinely helpful mechanic!

Ild like to think of myself as pretty knowledgeable about bikes but i was completely at a loss with some seized bike parts!, got the frame and fork to this shop today and within 15 mins he had managed to sort 2 issues that ild spent the entire of yesterday fighting with! Expert, class and professional work 10/10. Cannot recommend enough!

I have waited 3 months for a part also without my bike I have had to use taxis the amount of money I could of bought a new bike thanks for nothing also paid 200 pound for a new wheel rebuild and he gave me the wrong axle and then made me wait for a new axle what I'm still waiting for whens that arriving 2022

I dropped the bike off for a pre-Night Rider tune up. The lads did an excellent job and the bike felt, and looked, like new when I picked it up. The turn around time was really quick as well for a Saturday (less than 3 hours!). I'll be using Bikeology for future services from now on :-) Thanks again!

Great Service. Took in my 2018 Trek Marlin 5 for some long overdue servicing. The quality of the work was apparent as soon as i rode out the shop. Gears switched smoothly, hubs and crank were silent and the bike felt like it's rolling faster and easier. Highly Recommended.

The guys there are very friendly and professional. Had quite a few things fixed in less than 2 hours! and they also went through all the things that need to be fixed and why, and broke down the price so I can understand. Overall, very happy with their service

Went in to get my mountain bike tyres switched over to something more suitable for a city. To get 2 new tyres and all the work done, came to £60. A very good price and very quick service (1 hour ish). Will be using again for any future bike issues!

Best repair and cycle shop you’ll find in town, ask for Pete he was so helpfull really knowledgeable and genuinely cared. What else can you ask for from a business. Oh that’s right he also beat of his competitors in price! Tip top boys well played

The shop is staffed nice staff who was helpful however they quoted me a different price for a chain repair compared to the quote they gave me a week ago. This made me lose trust in them and made me feel like there's no a standard pricing system.

Needed gear cable replacing,rang up and was told to bring it in. Duncan pointed out a couple of other things that needed doing, so left bike. Returned the following day and the bike is 100% better. Excellent service, would highly recommend

Popped in whilst on a ride due to gears malfunctioning, a member of the team looked over my bike and had it fixed in minutes, didn't charge a thing as it was a quick job - bike worked perfectly after. My new go-to bike shop.

Have gone a few times, quite friendly, a bit more expensive than the other bike shops on Smithdown road, other than failing to fix my tires twice in one day, their characters come across as decent people.

Stole bike parts and claimed they were missing when the bike went in absolute joke then offered me some joke of a rusty magnet after me telling them repeatedly it was 100% there when it got dropped off
