This book shop is a real mickey mouse operation. The school forces us to use book shops like this one and on 5th November 2021 I pay and ask for my order to be delivered to my home address since the school cut off was prior to the date I ordered the books. New year and I know nothing of my order and I try calling the shop on all numbers , the cell phone number doesn't go through and they don't reply to emails. I had to drive 60km (120km round trip) to the store only to find out my order was delivered to the school. Insult to injury, i had to wait in a long line It's very simple, employ more staff to sort out your mess during peak seasons. We as customers have no choice but to buy books from your store so mark up the books and employ. Have you not heard of Supply and Demand ?

Ordered schools books well in advance and before the last minute rushes. Sent through the list, went to collect and when we queried the difference in the books to the list they insisted these were correct. The accounting books were all incorrect. On returning, standing in queues out the door, got the “you should have checked it’s your problem” response from the “Manageress” and then the “I don’t have the authority to refund” diatribe. Then told (after agreeing to swap out they had no stockS Zero interest in solving the problem or helping the customer. As helpful as breasts on a snake. There are loads of options on school books, Book Bound, not one of them anymore.

We ordered a book a month ago, thinking we‘d save time have it delivered to our house. The payment went through immediately. When we called the first time to ask about the book after a week, it was out of stock; they were still waiting for it themselves. So they take your order and your money and then you wait .... no option to check the status online, no update, nothing. We will now cancel, get reimbursed and buy the book somewhere else. A month wasted, rather order at PnA, where they get it fast and charge you only when you come to collect it.

Absolutely pathetic service! Don't order your books from here, you will wait forever with no response and you literally have to beg for your order updates. They deliver less than half your order and then tell you that you must take time out of your day to collect the rest and it's still not the complete order! No one says, "let me contact the supplier and get a date for delivery and get back to you". One phone call?? Absolutely ridiculous that such incompetence still exists!

Worst service. They dont answer the phone and when you eventually get through they become defensive and insist that the textbook has been delivered when it hasn't. Further than that they do not want to assist and the lady answering the phone, Lesedi, has such an attitude. I've paid for the book months ago and it is shocking that I should still be struggling!!!

I placed an order online including delivery, it went through even through they did not have one of the books in stock. It's two week into school term, and three weeks since the order - I have not received my order calls are hardly answered and when they do I'm told they are waiting for a book, they do not know when they will get. DISAPPOINTING!

Just spent 1 hour waiting to be assisted at Book Bound. Staff just wonder about aimlessly and only one guy can assist with loading E-Books. Book Bound's new venue situated far out from the schools that they are servicing. If you can, try another store these guys are not helpful at all. Would not recommend them.

These guys are very fast to process a payment but stock seem to always be an issue and you really struggle to communicate with them. No reply on emails and no answer on their phone. Extremely unprofessional. They are however good for e-books because that is on an automated system.

I went into the store yesterday to order a book for my son in Pietermaritzburg. I was so impressed with the service I received. She even packaged it and helped courier. Not even 24hrs yet and he has received it. 10 star rating for a wonderful company.

I couldn't source a few textbooks here despite them having the school lists and the school referring parents here. The bulk we got here, and the service was good. I would recommend overstocking on the side of caution.

100% got there didn't even spend 10min did my collection then I was out of the place. Word of advice for the owner, they need to up their game in answering calls, could be a bit of nightmare on picking up the phone.

There is no feedback from them regarding deliveries. There is an automated response on their phone system as well as on their mail address. If you are so busy then employ more staff to assist over the busy period.

Ordered and paid for a book a month ago and still haven't received it. I've tried calling, emailing, sending messages. No one is bothering to get back to me. I would not reccomend using Book Bound

Can not get through on any line. Never have all the books. Tried their online website, that was a massive mistake. Will be purchasing off Takealot in advance from now on because book bound sucks!

I have tried calling this place 5 times today together with the Bramley branch. The phone rings and nobody answers. Have they become too big to be professional enough to answer their phones?

Recently had to order text books in a hurry. Ordered and paid online on Sunday and received all the books by midmorning on Monday!!Excellent service and prompt delivery. Most impressed.

Love the new premises. Ample parking and better 'school-opening' queue control. Despite the number of people queueing, it went quicker. The staff is frindly and interactive.

Like a few other people in the last few days.... I have been calling and calling , emailing constantly ...to no avail ! We have many many books outstanding from our order.

You cant order books... you don't answer your phones. You want to charge you R 120 to deliver when I am 2km away. You guys really need to think bigger with your business.

Best place to find any primary or high school textbook. Efficient and friendly. All Covid-19 regulations were fully implemented when I visited during level 3.

They did not have the book I needed and what's worse they do not take individual orders so I was forced to order online on take a lot

Very frustrating that they have no wifi backup for their credit card machine during load shedding and also wouldn't accept an EFT.
