This place will offer you a little more than what you would expect from a pub and is short in some areas that I just couldn’t get over. I feel that if there was a little consideration on behalf of the management, this place could be an attractive destination. Walking in, the parking lot is dimly lit and has a seedy feel. When you walk in the surroundings and decor are great with dark woods and stones and we’ll compensated with lights placed just right. It’s a wide open space but the layout is thought out from the pool tables and VLTs to seating areas and karaoke room. The wait staff seemed to start off well. We showed up with a table for six however the pub was far from capacity. Our service started out strong but quickly faded and we were left waiting to order drinks. I was hungry and decided to order a spinach dip while waiting on the rest of the group to decide. It came out with side plates so we could share which was great. Three of us tried the dip but were sorely disappointed. The chips seemed stale and the spinach dip was disappointing to say the least. I tried to finish it but couldn’t. I picked up fast food on the way home because I wasn’t going to waste money on more food I would waste. While catching up with our friends we noticed the karaoke setting up. While some of the singers were fun to listen to, we could barely hear our own conversation. The karaoke room funnels into the main area and just drowned us out. We thought a barn door between the areas would be a great fix for that concern. I could tell from anyone in the main area that the karaoke was a bit frustrating especially when trying to have a conversation. Even the wait staff seemed to get a little annoyed. I might go back for a wing night because I remember them being decent in the past, but I would have to have more of a reason or occasion to make the trek to make it worth.

Do not go here on a wing night unless you expect to be there hours at a time. We sat down, waited and waited and waited for the waitress to finally come over and take our drink/ wing order. We weren’t told it would be 45 mins for wings, I was served the wrong drink and no attempt at an apology was made. Once we hit the half hr mark we asked where the wings were, and then was told about the 45 min wait. The waitress did check in quite a few times to see if we needed anything which was good, but failed to take our empty cups/bottles away once a new one was placed down. The second set of wings took an hr and a half to come. When I said to the waitress it’s been over an hr for the second set she replied with “ya it’s crazy” again no “I’m really sorry, the kitchen is really backed up “ or even an attempt at an apology we saw her standing and chatting at the computer a lot! The only good things about the wings were lots flavours and they were tasty, but any old bar can produce good wings and lots of flavours. If bootleggers cannot keep up with a wing night, do not offer one. Will not be back.

I came there this evening for the first visit on a wing Wednesday - the service was great and the wings were delicious but I asked for a box to take home a half pound of wings that I paid for in the flat fee. I was told I couldn't take a box due to the fact that the wings are so cheap. I then asked what would be done with the wings, and it turns out they go in the garbage. Where is the logic, given that on Thursday's "all you can eat wing night" it stipulates a 10 cent charge per wing leftover to avoid food waste? This was extremely disappointing, not to mention, entirely disrespectful against the exact circumstance you are trying to avoid in terms of environmental impact. This is a completely irrational policy and I feel so ripped off that I will never come back for wing night! Fix the issue or raise the price of wings. I paid for them under a flat fee - I should have been able to take them home!

This place used to be amazing, unfortunately the service has absolutely gone downhill. The manager is way too busy bussing tables to run his staff and they kind of do whatever they want which is little to nothing. It's unfortunate because the food is amazing. Me and my fiance used to go at least twice a week for date nights but as the service got so terrible we stopped going. We even tried talking to the manager but he just blamed the owners for the bad serving staff not taking accountability for not managing his staff or not having the balls to stand up to them. We decided to go back last Thursday to see if things had improved and it was the same bad service with us sitting unhappily waiting while yet again the manager cleared tables instead of managing his staff. It's really unfortunate because it was one of our very favorite date places that we use to frequent very regularly.

Terrible, I hope I can rate this 0 star. Long line up, waited over an hour to get us seated, we have no reservation so I don’t really mind. Once seated we waited more than 30 min for someone to finally take our order. Took them over 30 min long to serve the drinks and never gave us water that we requested. Unlimited Chicken Wings? You have to wait 1.5 hours to get your wings and another hour if you want to order more. So disappointed! If you want unlimited wings, then you need unlimited patience and time for waiting otherwise avoid this place, I don’t recommend at all. We ended up walking out and paying the price of unlimited wings and only got few to be shared by the group. Also took them 20 min to give the bill. Never again.

It had been years since my last visit. So, I was glad that it still is a great sports bar. Was there in a Sunday evening. My waitress was super friendly and even up for a chat - which as always nice for a single business traveler. Had the house red which was ok (but you’re not going to a sports bar for wine testing). The starter house salad was super large. Wings were juicy and meaty. Note: if you go for the 50 wings flavors check the website. It says that SUNDAY is NOT the day for it. Clearly, I did not check it but still enjoyed the Hot Teriyaki flavor though. Lots of TV s with different channels. And it sounded like they have Karaoke nights. Definitely still my go to sports bar on Calgary. My Rating: '4 Stars' = Very Good, '5 Stars' = Way Above Expectations

Coming here for a wing night Thursday night. Arriving around 5pm. There weren’t lots of ppl. The waitress stopped coming here when we were at round 3 for wing orders. Kinda feel like the owner here doesn’t want us to order more wings even though it is a ayce wing deal they have here. The waitress stopped coming to our table when the bar gets a bit busy. Still waiting for her to come back to get the bill because we have been waiting at our table to order another round of wings because we are tired of this waiting game… sigh. The wings are good but for the service… will not come back again for sure. And I will also spread the words around with my friends telling them what I feel about tonight as well.

First time here, my friend always mentioned the all you can eat wings on Thursdays - definitely not coming back again. Our order of three wings only came after 50 minutes. After waiting for 40 minutes, we decided to order two more plates after realizing how slow it was, that came in after 40 minutes again. Mind you, plates only have 8 wings per plate too. It didn’t seem busy either, so I don’t know why it took so long. Management apologized plenty of times, but I suggest you only come here if you’ve got 3 hours to spare. Every table around us was empty and everyone was waiting for their wings. The wings itself were okay too, definitely not worth the wait or the price, would rather go to another pub.

It's been almost a decade since I've stepped foot in Bootleggers, But I wanted wings and karaoke on a Wednesday Night, and, boy, did Bootleggers deliver. My wings and onion rings were on point. I enjoyed the pot stickers as well, but they use chili flakes on the bottom which made them a bit s spicier than I prefer. Karaoke is still great, and Cat is by far, still my favourite Karaoke host in Calgary. The waitress was a bit inattentive, and let our drinks go empty a couple times, but she was otherwise quite friendly. All in all, a solid 4 Star all day. Now that Ive committed to going out more often, I might be stopping in again sooner rather than later!

Love this place, been eating and drinking here since 2009 and it’s rarely an off night. Great Karaoke, Wings, Dry Ribs, and whatever else you’re looking for in bar eats.

Waitress checked on us 4 times in 2 hours. Had to find waitress for our bills as we had been waiting half an hour. Once we found her, it took another 20mins for her to bring the bill and at that point she just slammed them down in the middle of the table and left. Waited for her to come back so we could pay and she never came back, we had to find the manager so we could pay and leave. We come here every week, but after this bad service and the waitress having an attitude, we won't be back. I don't know why this waitress had such an attitude with us when we all we wanted to do was pay and leave.

Poor customer service. We have given this place more then one chance and each time they failed. Waited forever for wings and watched the other table whom had nine people at their table during this covid period and yet were upset with us because we had a seventh memver arrive we hadn't expected. There are servers all over the place and yet our party waited for our drinks and wings for 20-30 mins at a time between visits to our table. I love this place for its karaoke and such but I couldn't believe the painful service.

Went on AYCE Thursday Wing night, our waitress was amazing, welcoming, talkative and a joy to be served by. The wings were good quality and they had great options with 30-40 flavours to pick from! Great price experience the place was just screaming fun!

Good sports bar, although the wait times are pretty crazy. Went there for all you can eat wings and waited about 45 minutes to get our wings. I will say that the variety of flavors and taste of wings is good, but the wait time for food was crazy. Although our waitress was extremely nice, apologetic, and helpful!

You guys are really letting me down. This is the 3rd time I've came here and waited 20 mins and not been even greeted bunch of workers walked right by us too. I've been telling my girlfriend about this place and raving about it and yet all 3 times we've gone not even greeted once. I'm disappointed:( not sure if it's new owners or management but guys please when I come for the 4th and possible final time show my girlfriend how good this place is!

All you can eat? More like all you can wait! Absolutely dreadful experience at Bootleggers Sports Bar. The service was abysmal, and the waiting time for our wings was beyond ridiculous. It's hard to believe that a sports bar could fail so miserably at something as basic as providing timely service. Definitely won't be returning. One round of wings in 3 hours time. No thanks.

I go Thursday night with guys from work. We go for all you can eat wings. Wings are great and a wide variety of flavors. Staff is friendly and prompt. Would be 5 stars but had one not so great experience there. Not gonna keep me from going back tho and may bump it up to 5 stars if the great service continues.

I went here on a Thursday night. All you can eat wings. The place was packed. The waitress was alright. The wings were really good. However, it took over 30 mins to get them. When the waitress brought them. We immediately ordered another round as we didn't want to wait another 30 mins once we finished. I would come back but maybe come earlier when it's not so busy.

You have to wait for an hour to get your first set of wings and another 1.5 hours to get the next set. We ordered first but the people who ordered after us got their food first and it happened not only once but twice. Not worth the time. Really bad service. Wouldn’t recommend.

Wing deal is great wings are good, Service was meh / slow the 2 star rating is because i was not allowed to bring home my last 6 wings. They have to throw them out ... gotta love this mentality. I definitely don't understand why the news say's earth cant feed all of its humans when wings MUST be thrown out... This business modle is garbage.

My bad for not having asked names of the staff who made my otherwise sloppy day into a cheerful one - thank you so much!! I was there one of the afternoons and loved every minute of being there. The ambience was great and I ordered a plate of mozzarella sticks with my beer. They were fresh, crispy, just the way I like them. Cheers!

1st time here since I'm from Ontario but wow, just wow. The food was very impressive. One of the absolutely best burgers I've ever had. This is a must visit while in Calgary. My wife's soup was incredible. On top of all that the karaoke was lots of fun and the host has a really good voice. Will visit again when I move to Alberta.

Delicious food with friendly staff. Wing orders came out within a reasonable time, impressive considering it was wing night. Lots of flavours to choose from; both wet and dry sauces. Rating would be higher, but the parking is bizarre as patrons are constantly double parking and not realizing they're doing it (?) somehow.

Went to AYCE wing night today and their backlog was ridiculous. Waited at least an hour for our wing order to come and when she went to check on the status, it never got through so we waited for nothing. Definitely not coming back as there are other places that can serve you faster. Best of luck fixing that issue.

Never really tried the food, will say think of a sports bar as in kind of sanitized and generic when I was there, that is what it is in aesthetic. Has pool tables and karaoke which is nice, also slot machines. Service is good, but honestly. The Cajun wings were very powdery though only thing I tried.

Went here for wings last night with my wife. The wing deal is pretty good and there's lots of flavours but most of the wings we got were under seasoned and bland. Our waitress was extremely rude the whole time and my beer was warm. Overall probably not going back until they can figure things out.

We arrived at 12:05 and got our drinks rather quick, but then waited over 15 minutes for the server to return and take our order. Ended up having to get our order to go as we needed to get back to the office as we are limited to 1hr lunch break. Waited almost over 30 minutes to get our food.

I guess it depends on who's cooking. The food can vary from very good to ewww clean the grease! The overall atmosphere is great however again it depends on who's working the floor for service.

The place is in need of a makeover. Badly! Tables are uncomfortable, the booths are too far from the tables so u feel like a kid sitting on the edge of your seat to eat. The outside needs a paint job. The inside looks like a biker bar not a sports bar. BUT the food isnt bad!

We went on Wednesday wing night and the wings were ok and the drinks better. The wings were cooked perfectly but the sauces and dry powders were in excess and definitely not the best I've ever had. Plenty of parking and very good service at this karaoke bar.

Staff is really friendly and they have some cute waitresses. Food is actually really good. Their blackened steak strips and chips are so delicious. I also had the chicken tacos and they are really good. My brother likes to come here on wednesdays for wings .

Went for the unli-wings, make sure to get there around 4-5pm or else you’re gonna have to wait in line, worth the wait for wings as they have 50 different flavours.
