My boyfriend and I were given the gift of free movie tickets to Brewvies for Christmas two years back. The concept seemed fun, so we cashed them in to see the second Fantastic Beasts movie. We had planned to eat, have a few drinks, see the movie, head home. What happened was exactly that, minus the movie. Dinner was mid-tier bar food, not bad, not great, but decent for an inexpensive meal out, and drinks were the same. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the movie due to a member of staff. I don't remember his name, but seeing I was on a date, an employee on his break tried to talk me up at the bar. He asked how long my boyfriend and I had been together, and if he had any chance with me. I said no, and tried to ignore him while the bartender finished up my Mai Tai. He continued to push on, spewing compliments, leaning in closer, going so far as to say I was out of my partners league. It was uncomfortable, and I was thankful when my drink was done and I could go back to my table. Not 5 minutes later, same guy walks by our table, and tries talking to us about it. It made my partner and I more so uncomfortable, as I'd just finished retelling these same events to him. We didn't see the movie, and we haven't been back since.

I came here to see Barbie with 3 of my friends, two of us had ordered and paid for drinks before our movie started. We even tipped really well. During the movie I went back to order another drink and before I could say anything Christian said he needed me to pay for what we ordered before the movie. He was very rude and defensive after I mentioned we already paid for it. So I paid for it and went back into the movie, explained to my friend who’d paid, what happened. We went back out and he refused to refund me, threatened to kick me out when I was being very patient and kind because I don’t like confrontation like that. This was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, he said he was too new to process a refund and wouldn’t call the manager who had called out sick. I have it on video if the manager sees this and cares to reach out to see what had happened, but this experience was truly not okay. Christian is very rude, I was super excited about coming here because I had never heard of it either, but I will not be back after being treated the way I was. I wouldn’t even give my experience today the one star I had to.

Don’t go here! Awful place. I’ve been going here for years. Because an old friend used to work there. And have encouraged friends and family to go.I’ve brought this place a lot of new clients. But lately service has been horrible. Employees are very disrespectful . Food is not good and not cooked well. The worst part of it all, I’ve been charged twice for one item we didn’t order item. The lady taking my order was upset with me for her mistake, when I brought it up. She ignored me. Told me to talk to her coworker who also ignored us. I asked for a refund and never got it back. On a separate occasion I’ve payed $23.70 worth of drinks tipped $4 And was charged 23.70 plus another’s 27.70 for the tip. I ended up paying 51.40 for a 23.70 bill. I contacted them. They said they would fix the issue. Then was told I would hear back from someone later. Never did. Reached out again. No response. Please be careful this place takes advantage of their customers.

Our experience at Brewvies was great, good service, nice bartender, a good selection of food, loved the wings we got. However, 2 days later I got a notification from my bank that my transaction was updated. It went from our original purchase of 56.00 to 61.60. I don’t know why they added a tip, as it was not authorized. I had tipped in cash for a reason. I have emailed, and called, and have received no response what so ever. I am very angry as I did not authorize any tip to my card, as I tipped in cash. If this issue does not resolve itself I will no longer be giving my business to this company, which saddens me as I very much wanted to return.

My first experience really didn't meet my expectations, and though I've worked fancy, I prefer a well made flat-top simple diner made breakfast, any day all day. The breakfast I ordered (omelet breakfast and classic 2-egg breakfast) was just sad. I like a greasy spoon, this day was excessive. Left very disappointed. Spoke to Alex, after a conversation and some suggestions, he mosdef made it RIGHT! I'm from the South, so, I really enjoyed the featured documentary with such great legacy in a music close to my heart. Thank you so much. Will be back, looking forward to the creative selections coming up

I’ve been a big fan of Brewvies for fifteen years now, and I’m bummed to report that it has lost its bravado. The past two times I’ve gone there, my order has mysteriously vanished. In between every movie, you’ll find plenty of disappointed customers waiting for their food and missing the movie. I feel bad for the few members of staff who have to deal with complaints day after day. It’s definitely not their fault. They need more staff, or Salt Lake City needs more theaters that serve alcohol. Neither seem likely so I’m going back to sneaking booze into cleaner, more consistently served theaters.

A very poor experience I think from what could have been great. There was no running AC during a record breaking heatwave. I'm assuming this left staff to leave the doors of the theatre open (bringing in unnecessary light). There was a live performance in the next theatre so everything could be heard (clapping, music). The people working the screen could also be heard talking/moving the lights around during the screening. And lastly, upon exiting the movie an employee was handing out some sort of voucher/apologizing but I and my partner were skipped. Will definitely never come back.

Nice to have something like Brewvies in Utah, though it’s a pretty normal concept in other states. I’ve seen 2 movies there now, the first was fine but the second left me questioning if ill return. AC didn’t seem to be working great (was 95 degrees out today) and service was slow both times I’ve been there. I don’t know why they only have one staff member working the bar? The doors to the theater were left open the entire movie and you could hear people talking and laughing loudly outside. It was essentially the same volume as the film and was very distracting/annoying.

Great place, although the theatre AC was broken and everyone was sweating in the theatre. My friend had to leave early from over heating and getting nauseous after a few drinks. We weren’t warned about this by staff and had to find out from many people leaving the previous movie covered in sweat. Good potential once it’s fixed:,) also super cute Barbie drinks, pink corvette tasted like straight tequila none of my friends could drink it.

The bartender christian made this a terrible first time experience for me and my friends. Be careful of being overcharged for drinks/food. Don’t try confronting him about it either or he’ll threaten to kick you out. The bathroom was also not very clean and the theatre stunk like B.O. as soon as you opened the door. Wanted this to be a good experience but definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Can't say enough good things about Brewvies. Staff is awesome, seats are comfy, Beer is cold, and the nachos are bomb. They pick awesome films to show, & the audience is always a blast & a half (mostly because everyone is toasted). Had to leave my car there overnight once (damn Elephino beer was stronger than I thought! ) & nobody messed with my car overnight. This place rules.

Great place to watch a movie and drink. Just wished service was better. Wasn't too busy, but was only able to get 1 drink after waiting 15 mins. Pros -Drink during movie -Pool Tables -Usually Quiet -Spacious -Sports on TV -Not crazy Expensive Cons -Very slow or no service at all -Not good Cocktails (Expected) -Not very good food (Also Expected)

We love brewvies! I recently hosted my Barbie party here and everyone had fun. I love the local divey feel, vibey and chill for sure. They slayed those Barbie drinks and even though the staff was super busy they were still kind and professional. It was really low stress to book my event here so shout out to Andy and the bar staff!

Had a great time watching IT Chapter 2. Came early for some pool. Has a full service and the menu is outstanding. Food might seem pricey, but it's definitely piled on. I ordered pulled pork nachos and got a mound. Pizza is doughy (deep dish-like) if you're into that. Will come back again for some fun. Beer was nice and cold.

Brewvies has always been a good time. We chose this spot to check out the Barbie movie and it was so much fun. Had some delicious fries while watching the movie along with a few drinks and enjoyed the couches in the back for the movie. Love the staff here and it was also even a deal on a Tuesday night!

  • Scott Harwell

I really want to like you guys. Honestly. I just left your noon movie after of half an hour of you trying to get the sound going. And it's not the first time. Your menu has gone down hill. Egg shells in breakfast burrito. Please, please, please! get your act together, we want and need you!

  • Desirae Burtt

Dragged my husband out to see the Barbie movie with me (we both loved it). We ordered pizza and my husband got some drinks. The pizza was delicious, and my husband actually found his new favorite drink from here. I think the drink he got was called James and the Giant Peach.

  • Steve Capone

Love this place for a casual and fun movie night that isn’t just the standard movie theater. The food has gotten downright good in the last few years (compared to about 2012 it’s a night and day difference!) and the theaters are comfy and unique. Worth a visit.

  • Isela Filoteo

I came here to have a cute date with my hubby, and seeing the inside it looked like it would be super fun! But we were only able to have 1 drink and we were sitting by bar and they didn’t ask us if we wanted some . There was no Consistency

  • J Cianca

The theater has a shelf in the back of every seat so you can order food and drinks at the bar, go grab them before the movie starts or when they buzz your buzzer, then set it all in front of you and enjoy the movie with cocktails, pizza,

  • Katherine Johnson

We really enjoyed Brewvies. It's not the cleanest, and the service is definitely slow, as you may have read, but drinks were delicious, service was friendly, and the food was good. We would definitely recommend as it's a fun experience.

  • Scott Berry (SIXEIGHTSTUDIOS)

Burger was over cooked, popcorn was basically I don't give a f@#k salt lick corn. My 1st experience here a few years ago was amazing. This staff was more concerned with their personal lives and who made out with who the night before.

  • Jared Buchanan

Great place to watch a movie to avoid kids and another annoyances. The staff is super friendly and they have a great beer selection. The basket of fries is huge, too! Honestly, I'm not sure I'll ever go to another movie theater.

  • Jeremy Westerman

Fantastic food, the best anywhere in the valley, the theater is an old one that needs redesigned with better reclining seats and advanced movie screens. I’ll be back for the food.

  • pandabear4565

Love it. Good parking. Pool tables are usually open. The movies they okay aren't bad either. But i dont go there for the movies. I go there cause of pool and the bartenders

  • Jimi Bone

The free movie is so fun. There is nothing like it in SLC. It's great seeing some of my old favorite movies on the big screen again. Thanks Brewvies.

  • Forest F. White

Charming for dive with a decent selection of alcohol. It isn't the alamo draft house, but you get assigned seats and a table to hold your snacks.

  • Katie Bloomfield

This is by far the best place in town to hang out, grab good food, watch good movies, and drink good beer. I love this place.

  • Chase N

Cool little bar that has a couple movie screens. Pool table was broken unfortunately. Nice staff, good selection of beer.

  • Joshua Fisher

Great staff! Movie selection is always tops. They honor Groupons, the two ticket and pizza option is a great value.
