SLFS is one of my favorite places in Salt Lake. I was a projectionist for an international cinema program in college and I really enjoy having another place to view films not in other theaters locally. I also sometimes come just for the popcorn, it's that good. Be aware that parking is in the garage next door and you need to get your ticket validated to waive that fee. Sometimes it's tricky finding a park on a busy weekend evening so plan ahead for that.

It's Broadway time. Time for another relaxing, welcoming adventure at my easily favorite theater. Turn the corner from parking and there stands the illuminated projector welcoming my visit. Through the doors and the SLFS welcoming team...waves...yep got my ticket and heading to pizza time...hello Ally ...and on to the movie. 5 stars ? Nope 7. A positive change of pace...staff that cares...and onto the theater. Make it 10 stars.

Everyone should be supporting smaller, more independent and meaningful cinema, and this nice theatre with wonderful, helpful staff, comfortable seating, and some food options, is a great way to see a movie! We saw an incredible movie here: Isle of Dogs, by Wes Anderson. Parking aplenty, though it costs money, either in the attached garage, or on the street.

I love the Broadway Theatre! They have wonderful movies and most are not playing at other theaters in town. Unlike a prior reviewer, I find the seats to be very comfortable. The staff is friendly. The location is perfect for a night out, with a parking structure next door and the theater validates. And, as an added plus, they have coffee!!!

It’s nice to have a dedicated independent theater downtown. The food and drink selection is varied and also largely independent. I saw RGB there with my grandmother today. Just as RGB is a role model of public service to millions, my grandmother is that role model for me. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it with her. Love you grandma!

It's never too crowded, but they play really fine movies in a non-"commercial" (aka Larry H Miller) way. (no commercials while waiting) AND! it is right next to an amazing resturant, The Copper Onion, so it is a slam, dunk, date nite one stop easy parking event!

This theater is a gem. The food and snacks are amazing! The movies they play aren't the typical stuff. They are brilliantly made with quality story plots. My wife said we have to go at least once a month because it was so wonderful.

Curated by a clan of the unaware. Movies being screened are often playing at the megaplexes. No promotion on films upcoming either (unless you are in their cult), so when something good finally comes along it has already passed.

I'm so grateful that there is somewhere in Utah that I can always count on seeing wonderful independent films. The theater is clean and updated. There is parking next door that you can get validated.

Friendly staff who know film, excellent selection of arthouse films & gourmet snacks. The box office is outdoors, which can be a hazard in inclement weather.

Salt Lake if so lucky to have these theaters you show films we'd otherwise not be able to see. I appreciate the hard work the team does to make it possible

My friend paid for a gift card to the theatre and I see where it's expired and I can't use it. They have the money.... why do they do that?

So good. The entire experience left me proud to be part of an aware social conscience. Thank you staff and especially "Dan the enabler".

Here you can support "author movies" good independent films, and the parking is free with a validation. Plus friendly staff.
