FREE AMAZING TOUR to visit one of Brissie most signature icons! We have been living in Brisbane for more than a year but didn’t know this exists! Bookings need to be made in advanced as it is almost fully booked everyday, especially on weekends. Each tour can accommodate up to 4 guests and take 15 minutes to see everything. Very friendly staff will answer all your questions and try to assist in every possible way. I saw at least 2 x groups could not attend as they did not make bookings. So make sure you book yourself in advance. The lift itself is so unique as it’s one of the oldest lift in Brisbane. It has a handler to activate and gives us a retro vibe the moment we enter. Check my videos out, let me know if this is useful so I can create more contents for you to check before going!

Great place to discover in Brisbane cbd. Located in level 3 Museum of Brisbane within city hall tower, this clock tower is a must-see attraction if you are in Brisbane. Free tour runs for 15 mins during the day but limited spots so you are better book ahead to avoid waiting time. Very friendly and knowledgeable staffs. Old clock tower, was one of the tallest building in Brisbane before. The old lift has operated since 1930, hence, run for 92 years already but had recent renovation, thus, very safe. The bells were made from UK since 1920 and shipped to Australia since then. You can have some eye-bird views of the city from the top of the clock tower too. Overall, great free tour, highly recommended!

I’ve done this tour many times before when there was no tour guide but I haven’t done a tour in years since. I love the tower and all its history. It a sweet visit and I recommend it. However, the tour guide was visibly bored with her spiel, rolling her eyes at her own verbalised facts. I know there must be better guides that carry out the tour but I felt sorry for the other tourists present as this was their only experience and they probably wouldn’t recommend the tour. The tour was very rushed as no one was allowed to be in the tower when the bell tolls. My favourite thing was to be there at midday for the full experience. Lol. My hearing hasn’t suffered but I can appreciate the current guidelines.

Brisbane City is a beautiful City. Lived here for 7 years , I had to go back to NZ for family reasons but the house prices are so much cheaper affordable and you get your moneys worth, better pay rate, the sun shines more then it rains, the food is cheaper and more variety. Alot of my family lives here and they are all doing well. There is so much to do here from Theme parks to swimming at Stunning beaches. It is in the middle between The Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. It even has a man made beach at Southbank for free. The government is pouring alot of money into the infrastructure getting ready for the Olympics.

I had such a lovely time on the tour today with Leisa my guide. I had booked first thing and was lucky enough to have a solo tour. Leisa was so informative and indulged in my wonder of the clock tower as it has been something I’ve always wanted to do. Hearing the bell toll while looking at how the clock face operates was one of the highlights that I’ll never forget. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this to anyone seeking a bit of knowledge on the city or just wanting to do a quick, free activity in the city with some added education.!

Decided to do a bit of tourism in our own town. Had read about the FREE tour of the clock tower at Brisbane City Hall so was keen to see. I was amazed to learn so much about the history of Brisbane and was very surprised with the views. The staff team was so warm and friendly as well as knowledgeable. The tour goes for 15 minutes, but it is 15 minutes well spent. You can book online, but we walked up around 11:00 and went right on the very next tour at 11:15. Well worth it.

Interesting and free activity to do while in Brisbane. The clock tours are run every 15 minutes in small groups of 7. Can either make the reservation on the spot or online. Gets busy on weekends so it's wise to come early or book ahead to avoid a long wait. The tour takes you to the top of the tower via a small and historic lift with small capacity. Views from the top are quite good. The guide on my tour, Annie, was friendly and helpful. Learned heaps of interesting history and technical info about the clock.

A great free tour !!! Tickets need to be booked/reserved on line which was easy. The tour guide was a wealth of information. The tour includes a ride in the old freight elevator in the middle of the building, seeing all 4 of the clock faces from behind which was very different, all the mechanics which operate the clock and the views were amazing. These were just a few of the highlights. An absolute must while in the city

The Brisbane museum is just 2 rooms with a dislay of painting of Brisbane. Although quite simple, it is really nice to stop by and see the paintings. I appreciated the fact that they are very different styles of painting you can see. The city hall tour was free and took about 45 minutes. It was super interesting and the guides were fantastic! Highly recommended to learn something more about the building and about the city (mostly focused on the building though)

My autistic child was VERY excited for this tour, however we got Ebony as the Tour Guide. I know it's free, and only 15 minutes, but the Tour Guide didn't talk at all, unless we asked questions. She was knowledgeable about the questions we asked, but honestly, wasn't worth the drive into the city, and the $22 paid for parking! Nice view of parts of Brisbane City though.

I really enjoyed the tour with Michelle my guide. I was lucky enough to have a solo tour (booked somewhat last minute the day before) and learnt a lot during my time there. It was really cool to have an inside look on the intricacies of the clock tower and it's history. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.

If you make a reservation on the website, you can go up to the clock tower. You can also hear the chimes at the top of the hour, so I recommend booking for the 45-minute slot. Moreover, you'll get a panoramic view of downtown Brisbane and the guide will give you a brief explanation of the city's history and landmarks.

You can reserve a spot to go on the tour online, and the tour available every 15 mins. You can go up to the clock rower by using a lift that still use old mechanism. The view on top is of the city of Brisbane, so not much to see besides building actually

Really coll little tour. If it wasn't free I'd probably have never done it. But I'm glad I did. Was a cool view, the tour guide had a lot of interesting facts I didn't know. And the architecture of the building is beautiful not to mention the cutest shingle in Cafe that I didn't know was in there till we accidentally found it …

Two recommended things to do here. 1. See the Brisbane museum. 2. Go all the way up in the clock tower. Book the ticket in advance as there is quite a queue. During my visit, per 15 min there can only be 5 people in the elevator - made in 1930!

Beautiful clock tower dominating the central square around the Brisbane City Council's town hall and square. The bells will ring throughout the day and the tower is available during certain hours to be climbed to provide a great view of the city and some of the attractions worth visiting and checking out

  • Gabriel De la torre

You will have to book in advance if you want to reach the top of the clock tower. The view is nice up there, but they only give you 5 minutes. The people are so nice!! Defo worth the try (open until 5pm)

Go for a quick 15min tour of the clock tower. Views are ok, as there are a lot of high rise buildings in the way now. Take the 90+ year old elevator up to the viewing platform.

Great tour of the clock tour and it's free! Make sure you finish with a visit to the cafe on the ground floor. Best lime mint thick shake and banana loaf I've ever had in a quiet cafe with booths. Old world service and style.
