This is my favourite café in the greater Hamilton area. It's rare that you find a café with friendly service, excellent espresso, and delicious baked goods and sandwiches; normally you have to settle for two out of three. This is the exception. I've been blown away with everything I've tried there. A note on the service: a couple weeks ago I discovered upon coming home that I has forgotten my phone charger at the café. At that point they were already closed. I called the owner and he had already found it and put it aside for me to pick up next time I come by! Just above and beyond! They also have cooked meals, beer, and wine. I haven't tried any of those yet but I should!

Prosciutto sandwich and Cortado both tasted great. There were 4 sandwiches available on a hand written paper near the cash. The turkey brie sandwich wasn't available leaving only a vegan option or dry cure (Prosciutto or Salami) options, my wife wasn't pleased. There was no posted coffee menu, I just guessed that they might have Cortado. It seemed odd to have a hot Cortado in what I would call a whisky glass (very hot to hold). Maybe their wall menu's were in the process of being revamped, not sure. All in all the food was great, and the service good but if you weren't a regular it seemed a bit unorganized.

Y'all are sleeping on this place! Sure, it's a fabulous cafe with AMAZING coffee, quick home made treats like brownies and cookies, delicious from-scratch-cheesecakes and desserts, and to-go sandwiches, BUT IT IS SO MUCH MORE! Well priced, delicious food like croque-monsieur, mushrooms and toast, and sweet potato ravioli (and so much more) with the freshest fricken hand made, local and/or wild ingredients you've ever had. The ricotta is perfectly balanced and freshly whipped, the olives are simple and straightforward with a fresh twist (and you get so many!). Truly a joy to grab and go, but I recommend taking time to sit and enjoy. Will definitely be coming back!

I stayed away during COVID. Visited recently with my laptop; I sometimes hesitate to sit and work on the computer in a cafe , and I wouldn't do it if the place was close to full. In this case, it was afternoon, and quiet, and it looked like nobody would mind, so I made myself at home for a while. This was my first visit to the new location. The coffee really is excellent. Well, I am not a real coffee maven, I must say, because it doesn't generally agree with me and I can only drink decaf. But much better than the decaf at Starbucks down the street. Why not support local rather than the big chain ?

SUPER CUTE CYCLING CAFE Pro's: ☕️ Clean, modern interior ☕️ Super friendly staff ☕️ Delicious flour-less brownie (like, it was rllt good!!!) ☕️ Awesome cycling memorabilia on the walls and throughout the cafe Con's: ☕️ My tea looked as if someone already drank 1/4 of it... ☕️ Tea was also luke warm as opposed to piping hot. As a Brit, this is a big no-no

Today was a beautiful winter day for a café ride, so I headed for Café Domestique. An 85km round trip for a perfect Cortado and delicious cookie - I am 100% satisfied. Whenever I ride through Dundas, this is the place to stop. In warmer weather, there is the back patio through the alley. It is also a good place to park the bike. In winter, a nice indoors. Highly recommended!

Friday Oct 27 went in for a coffee, which they did not have, that was fine. however when the gentleman stated "there is a red line we do not cross, and my coffee request was it". That was rude, condesending and not called for. Ok you do not carry the coffee I requested, fine, but you DID NOT have the right to be Rude. I could have still been a future customer for products you carry. NOT know. Neither yourself or the comments of your collegue were called for. SHAME on you.

Great little café in Dundas! It's definitely a great place to stop if you're a cyclist or just in the area for a coffee. I like to stop by on my bike rides for a quick espresso. Their espresso is fantastic and the way it's made is the old school way! On my last visit I had a brownie with a double espresso. The brownie tasted like is was homemade, it was excellent! Highly recommend and if your in Dundas area stop by this place whether your riding or not!

Coffee and GF treats are good however I've had two experiences here recently where the staff were rude. Eye rolls from the barrista and sarcasm from the kitchen when asked about gluten free and dairy free options. I heard the kitchen staff use the F word out loud and my 9 year old heard it. I like to support small businesses but I'd rather go to Starbucks because at least they're friendly.

Delicious food, very friendly staff and great European bike culture vibe. Can't get much better than this. Their banana bread, their coffee and the vanilla latte are delicious. Really worth it stopping by. Even though it was busy, staff made sure we didn't have to wait too much for our order. Will definitely come back again.

The best coffee and quick bites in Dundas. Coffee is excellent, and they have an incredible kitchen putting out great small plates. Community spot that makes Dundas the best place to live. Chris and staff are great company.

Excellent pandemic protocols - they are very pleasant but absolutely mindful of the safety of their employees and customers. Great selection of delicious treats and terrific coffee. Very knowledgeable and willing to discuss as they craft the perfect latte or enable my sweet tooth with a flourless brownie. Even in these difficult times, Café Domestiique delivers above and beyond expectations!

  • Joe Dukes

Expertly crafted hot beverages AND friendly service. Have your cake and eat it too! They do such a great job catering to all patrons. Whether it's a sit down lunch of sandwich and wine or a mid ride stop to refuel and bottle fill Domestiique is quick, friendly and quality. There's plenty of room along the back alley to store bikes while chillin on the patio.

  • Ahmed Mahmood

Great service, I spilled coffee here (which was really good btw). It was cleaned up promptly, and I was given another cup of coffee even though it was my fault lolz. I insisted on paying, but they refused to accept payment. Good customer service goes a long way. Did I mention their cappuccinos are awesome?

Just go its amazing fantastic everything food, staff and Chris has a great memory for how you like your coffee. Go on just go, you know you want to. Just love the bread pudding, sausage rolls, rock cakes and cookies. This place has a great vibe and a bit out of the box, can not recommend highly enough. Its spondicious!!!! Cheers Graham

  • Micks

Their coffee is good. As are some of their desserts. My complaint is that this place looks very very rough. The seating area inside is very uninviting and uncomfortable. They need to invest in some better seating, as well as maybe a board that outlines their offering for drinks and food. There is a lot of room for improvement.

I found out about this place on GCN and wanted to check it out. It's great to have a bike themed Cafe that is welcoming to cyclists of all sorts. A big Chapeau! The Kale salad was delicious and the almond mil cappuccino excellent after a 3 hour ride.

Just great coffee shop, friendly fun staff, bike enthusiasts, local benefactors, excellent coffee, great treats and bistro snacks, draught beer, wine and an occasional shot of selected liquor after a cold ride…. Live international bike action on big screen, eclectic music at nice level. A Dundas fixture…

Good coffee, and neat atmosphere. The biking theme is interesting. Service was fast and I really enjoyed my latte. My only minor complaint is that it is not quite clear where the coffee is sourced. All in all this is an excellent addition to dundas' food and drink scene.

Great coffee, and they have the best porch to sit on in town. It's out back, off the street, covered and is quiet so you can sit and have a nice conversation with someone. The coffee is always spot on and the atmosphere is inviting.
