Would’ve given them zero star but don’t have that option. The reason I had a bad experience is that the wash bay that I used to wash my car it’s foam brush did not work after I inserted a toonie, and when I used the rinse cycle it sprayed soapy water. Someone that was employed came in when I was about to leave and I confronted him about the rinse and foam brush and that they were not working and if there was something that he can do but instead of using his keys to over ride the system he stated “ you only lost a few dollars, if ur not happy use another car wash” they guy was very rude and when I emailed the manager i did not receive anything back. The worst car wash in Winnipeg. Why would you provide an email address if your not going to reply back?

  • Julian Harms

I actually live next to this car wash and was so excited to live next to a car wash when I moved. I was pretty quickly disappointed as their Pressure washers have been beat up to the point where there isn’t an even spray or really an angle to them. It’s like spraying your car with a garden hose. The soap didn’t cut through the lightest of dirt, and I left almost just as bad as I entered. Such a shame because it’s a fantastic location for so many people including myself but it just doesn’t seem to be managed. I guess it has Credit Card payment but it’s not worth it for the clean you get. As I said, I live next door, I’d love to be proved wrong and stop by all summer if the owner would improve the place.

  • John Martens

Terrible experience was there couple years ago then take a chance and try again tonight as it is close to home. Same result very little time for loonie or toonie hoses to short and leak like crazy also I brought 12$ in toonies to wash a Subaru ran out as rinsing and my tap doesn’t work on machine also tried machine next bay over and don’t work either even tried to swipe my card? Will definitely never come here again. Rust check is a much better option on st James I just tried here again cause so close and with the babies I don’t have a lot of free time. Plz stay away from this dump Also very dirty and poorly maintained I noticed again. Such a mistake

Okay guys let's address the elephant in the room first. That $25 dollar on your credit card is just a pre-authorized charge similar to when you get gas at certain gas station. After a few days when the transaction is posted you will see the actual charge which you spend and not 25 dollars. Reason for for 3 stars and not 5 is because there is no attendant incase something goes wrong, if your car is lowered you might scrape your front lip leaving but that's only for sports car owners with coilovers. Other than that everything about it is fine. For my fellow car enthusiasts with coils becareful!

It was -20 without the wind chill today (Feb 26) and the bay doors to the 2nd wash bay at this location would not close. I froze trying to wash my car! Also, water and soap continuously froze to the surface of my car and it took forever/never really got clean because it was so cold. I'm trying to contact the owner but there is no contact information anywhere online. The value for money was not there. Cost me over $10 and my car is still not clean and I'm frozen!! Does anyone know how to contact the owner?

  • pati pati

no one there to help if you need it. Checked credit card later & saw I was charged 5$ day after wash & there was a $25 pending charge from the actual carwash day. I didn't know what this was about so I called Visa & they said I wouldn't be charged the $25, it was just a holding fee till $5 transaction went through! Very relieved. Should have read reviews on this place so I would have known. I doubt that I'll go back, theres no legit phone number to contact them.

Nobody is around to help out when there's issue with their equipment. On two occasions, my coin jammed and won't let me use the car wash. I emailed their management but nobody replied back. Something I found out (Tip): Coin: $1 you can use the wash for 1 minute 30 seconds. $2 you use the wash for 2 minutes 55 seconds. Credit card: $1 you use the wash for 1 minute 30 seconds. Continuous use, they take away 5 seconds for every dollar you use.

  • Kevin Bergen

Almost always busy. I like using a credit card instead of having to use coins. I usually wash my car with less than $6 but I have a system. Your experience may vary. I can wash my pickup for $8 when it's absolutely filthy, that's cleaning the engine, opening the doors and spraying the jambs, using the brush and rinsing with the wax. Be a good sport and don't use the soap brush on your muddy wheels please, I don't want to scratch my paint.

  • J M

There is a vacuum here and the pressure washer is powerful. The garbage is usually full, they must not empty it often. The vacuum head is broken on most bays. On some of the bays the hose for the tire degreaser is broken so it mists degreaser into the air, but it still works. The foam brush produces a lot of suds. There is no dryer, so your car will leave wet. It is open 24 hours and accepts debit and credit as well as coins.

I unfortunately washed my new truck in a dirty, oily, bay. I did get oil on clothing and legs. I contacted management, with reply stating I would be compensated for damages. The manager said unfortunately, a person previously cleaned out a diesel truck bed, illegally. They apologized. I have never had concerns at this car wash and have visited there for years and will continue. Thank you for following up with my concern.

  • Alan

Absolutely terrible company. Three different credit cards and their garbage machine could read none of them. Waste of 30 minutes in line just to find out that their machines don't work there's no attendant on-site, there's no phone number to call these people don't care about you so you shouldn't be giving your money to this company. Strongly suggest you never wash your car here if you care about your time in the least.

  • Ellen Goodman

The car wash seems to get pretty busy at times so one has to be strategic about when to go. I have been going for at least 20 years now and had no problems till recently when it took my change and nothing happened and I couldn't get my money back. I emailed management and they kindly sent me a card to use with a value slightly more than the amount I lost. Greatly appreciated.

  • Belvy

If you are tired of paying to much to get your car cleaned this is the place. They have many wash functions and ability to use credit card. Washing often is important for your car, frequent washing keeps rust away! Only reasons its not 5 stars is I wish they had a function to dry your car, cleaner, and cement didn't dip so much if your car is very low you might scratch.

  • Zack Bemister

Now i see other people have been charged 25$ on CREDIT CARD! after you press stop at the 8$ point!!!! was thinking i forgot yesterday possibly again to PUSH STOP! but no way now seeing other people are getting full 25$ charge on CREDIT CARD even after pushing stop!! ARE YOU SERIOUS! Never coming back AND DONT BOTHER WITH THE COINS!! GARBAGE CAR WASH!! DONT GO!

  • Matthew Palsich

Great place to go spray off your vehicle. The Bay floor is quite concave so I would caution anyone with a low bumper when entering. If using a credit card, your time starts as soon as you swipe your card; just turn the wand setting to something other than "off". Screen will show full charge after you press stop and shows the current charge as you're washing.

  • Dan Moir

Like others I was charged $25.00 on credit card for an $8.00 wash. I will not return. And I did hit the red stop button on the control board. A full disclosure update - I checked today and the credit card charge is now changed to $8.00. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT CENTRAL CAR WASH PROVIDES SIGNAGE AND COMMUNICATION TO AVOID THIS UNDUE STRESS FOR CUSTOMERS.

  • Alexander

Personally I think it’s the best car wash in the city for being 24/7. You can come for a late car wash therapy if you can’t sleep and also if you just so happen to miss any other places. This is convenient and the closing doors are awesome gives yu a sense of security from the cold winter winds. Although the timer could be a little bit longer.

  • Glen

As someone who frequently washes their car, this is absolutely the worse car wash I have ever used. It is impossible to clean your car properly. The only way this could happen is you would have to use the car wash brush, which I never will. Ridiculously poor wash. Best wand wash in south/west Winnipeg is the Wave off Kenaston on Scurfield.

  • Matthew Britton

Facility was good but do not use your credit card! This is the 2nd time now that even after I hit stop on the machine my credit card ends up with a $25 charge!! Quite the wash apparently. Stopped it at $11 which seemed like a bit much. Closest wash to home, for the this price I could have and would have just went to the chamois!

  • Nikki Bouchier

This is a good car wash. To anyone with the $25 charge issue, they aren't informative of the fact that there is a $25 preauthorization so be prepared for that. Also, apparently if you don't push stop after your done it keeps charging and cuts off as a safety at $25. Otherwise this car wash is convenient and always works great.

  • Bob Guerreiro.

Good car wash well matained only ever one issue with a broken hose but was fixed the next time I went. Credit card option is very nice makes washing your car / truck faster as you don't have to stop to feed the machine. I often see someone there shoveling / sanding the exit doors and other maintenance duties.

  • Brandon Hamilton

There is nearly no soap in the soap option. Barely cleaned my car. $1 is maybe 30seconds of wand time. Used to be a great place to wash your car, now it feels like you're getting gouged while leaving with a dirty car. Its 24/7, which is why I'm giving it a 2 instead of a 1 because thats what it deserves.

  • Dom Merano

DO NOT USE CREDIT CARD! It says pre authorized of 25$, once I pressed the "STOP" button when I was done, I was still getting charged another 25$ pre authorized from the next customers that used it next. Charged total of 60$ when I only used it for 7 mins. Do not recommend using credit card at this place.

  • David Hofer

I went to Central Car Wash after a road trip from Alberta. I had a lot of bugs all over the front of my vehicle. The presoak did very well at helping to remove the bugs off the front and the windshield. My vehicle is very clean after washing here. $1/hour seems very reasonable

  • Christopher Janzen

One stall wasn’t working when I got there but only found out because the car ahead of me already paid but couldn’t use any water. There’s no way to notify anyone that it’s not working so the next person just goes in and pays only to find out for themselves.

  • John Doe

Been to almost every self serve car wash in the city. This is by far the shortest amount of time of water you’ll get. Let’s all boycott this cheap gouging car wash place. 2$ will last you about 45 seconds. Complete rip-off. Greed will only get you so far

  • METAHTAMBEAST

Their brushes had rocks in them and it scratched the hood of my car. I'm so pissed off. I use the brushes at other car washes all the time and never have a problem because they maintain their brushes... This place obviously not. DON'T GO HERE.

  • Dario

This used to be my favourite place to wash my car especially late at night and for Sunday cruises but I will not be going back. In the past few years they have done no maintenance what so ever. The ground when you enter is so sunken in in

  • Brittany Elle

I don't know where this place gets decent reviews. They must be fake or paid for. I tried giving this place a chance quite a few times. Everytime I go here I leave with a dirty car, it looks like I never did anything. I'VE Seriously had

  • Zack Cowan

good location, but for a coin car wash it didn’t like my coins, which led to me to use my debit card which was overpriced, it didn’t give you proper time on how much you were spending and it was just not correct compared to other washes.

  • Derek Curtis

Have always had a good experience here. Decent bang for you're buck. I can typically hose of my truck for $5-$10 depending how detailed I want to be. $10 would be with brush time. Takes credit cards which I like, no playing with coins.

  • Jordan Fisher

Good price, bays are pretty clean, the credit card machine is a bit tough to get working. The truck bay has a leaky soap brush so the brush pressure is poor. No place to park and dry your car off afterward other than the nearby condos.

  • Liam B

absolutely garbage. presoak sucks, soap doesn’t work, rinse is trash. Spent $16 and half and hour of my time cleaning the hell out of the outside and as soon as I dry it all off it’s still dirty. don’t even bother coming here.

  • Martial

The charge of $25.00 is a hold until they enter the actual charge. If you check you statement you end up being charge the actual amount owed only. It would be nice if a receipt was issued and a contact number was available.

  • David Thomas

$1/minute, shorter than other wand washes in the city. No attendant or change machine on site. Equipment worked as one would expect it to. Credit card payment option was efficient, but adds up quick at the $1/minute rate.

  • Brett Robinson

So just as everyone else pointed out about being charged $25.00, I checked my statement later that day and its charged me $25, then credited me -25 and charged me $3. I'm more than ok w my $3 car wash. Back up to 5 Stars!

  • Georgina Pirie (Super Mom)

I have likes coming here in the past. However I went here yesterday and I don't plan on going back. My car is a 05 camry, as I was pulling into the wash my car rubbed the bottom of it and has $200 in repairs due to this.

  • Shaun Britton

They upgraded to cashless payment. Finally a place literally on my way home from work that I dont need to keep a sack of coins for. A few upgrades could be made to spruce it up. But definitely does the job required.

  • Rohit Saini

Left the car wash with an unclean car, and this gunk on the hood of my car... Will not be back. Thought I'd try this place out but definetly going to stick to my regular spot from now on (The Wave on Scurfield)

  • Jake Girouard

The only good thing about this car wash is that it's open 24/7, other than that it's not a good place, there is a car wash in st Boniface that use soft water, it has a timer, makes this place look like dump.

  • Daniel Huen

Spent 15 minutes there and was charged $25 which is about double what the machine said I owed. Tried calling management to ask why and says phone number doesn't exist. Now calling VISA to get my money back.

  • Mac Balacano

Been there twice, one time one car was bay was broken and spilling water everywhere from the ceiling. Other bay did not accept coins for some weird reason. Great place to go when it all works and not busy.

  • Allyson Bannister

My go to car wash. Open 24/7...can use coins (loonies or toonies) and credit card/Visa Debit Vacuums are not the greatest (lets face it, no car washes have great vacuums) but the water pressure is good!

  • Ian Farquhar

What I like best is the Interac tap option, and it only charges you for the time you've used (don't forget to press stop) there are 4 bays and I've always liked the quality of clean I get from here

  • Mitch

Great location. Accepts credit card or coin. The only issue is the back lane behind it when you exit is always full of dirty water so you have to be very careful if u plan on drying your car after

  • Alex Engen

Be a decent person and in the winter if someone is waiting to get in the car wash open the door for them. With the condensation inside the car wash it's some times hard to see when someone leaves

  • Mallory Harvey

Just like everybody else, I'm here to write a review to tell you that my initial wash was $8 but instead right after I left, it charged my card $25!!!!!!! I want a refund. 0 stars if I could lol.

  • Cody Williamson

I used my visa to wash. For under 6mins. Said itd charge 5$. Cool. Woke up to 25$ charge today. Beware, the scam, dont use your credit card. Gonna make a BBB complaint if owners dont reply.

  • Joseph Ronquillo

I used only 2 mins and my credit card was charged 25 bucks . faulty coin machine so I use my card . the coin machine in unit #2 have eaten my 4 bucks and no wash at all. shame on this place

  • Phil Braun

Great car wash, but they need to be more clear about hitting the red stop button when paying by credit card. Charged me $25 for 5 minutes of washing. I will not return because of this

  • Nikki Mutch

I go here a lot since I work in the area.. I always use my credit card and usually no problems.. last time I used it for a 4 minute wash and it charged my card $25.00. Won't be back.

  • Matthew Frechette

just like the other reviews, I was supposed to be charged $8 for a quick wash but my card was charged $25!!!! absolutely conned. I can't believe this place can stay open. …

  • Kevin Sheridan

Do not use a credit card in their machines. It acts as if no payment has been made, then automatically charges 25 dollars off your credit card. Have had that happen twice now

  • Jose Martinez

great place to wash. your dollar the first time you put money in seems to last longer than say the 5th or 6th dollar. times seem to get shorter the longer you are there.

  • Nicholas-Marc Ryan

Ots a good car wash. No attendants. Considering the other reviews stating a 25$ charge when you use a credit card. I would recommend just using change to sidestep this.

  • Cory

Spent 14$ on my truck and was still dirty when it dried. I'm tired of these carwashes cheaping out of decent soap. I wouldn't wash my bicycle with those old brushes

  • Erin Holowec

Try to bring change, I feel if you use credit card, you pay more. If I use change I can wash my car with $3-$4... Credit card I pay $6, for the same amount of time

  • J Eric Pasquini

Great self serve car wash. Takes credit cards. Only downsides are small area to line up and seperate bays so hope you don't line up behind someone taking forever.

  • Tim Reimer

Washed my car cheap, $2. Drove through winter, car was pretty dirty. $2 hot rinse. Wasn't perfect but much better. Next time I'll spend $3 and add soap

  • Stacy Klassen

Charged my credit card $25 when it should have been $2.25??? And now I can't find a phone number online to fix this mistake?? Not good. Won't be back.

  • Kyle Sokoloski

The time limit on the pressure washer here is the shortest out of every car wash I've been to by far. Better off spending $12 at a touchless carwash.

  • Gurjeet Chattha

1 dollar average for each minute, brushes aren't soft, but I would rate it 7/10 overall. Timer doesn't stop until you stop it if you tapped the card

  • Bernard Sanchez

Dont go here, always charges 25$ every time you do carwash here, and theres no way you can contact the owner of the place. !!!You've been warned!!!

  • mike reid

Super expensive. Each loonie runs out in way to little time. Takes about $15 to wash a compact car and that is doing a rush job and missing spots.

  • Shannon Burns

Quick in and out. Beware that there will be an initial hold on your credit card for $25, this released once the payment is cleared. Don't panic.

  • Peter

Great car wash self service even in winter there is warm water to wash car. Foam should work better but wash and wax pickup for $7 is good deal.

  • Shaun Jeffrey

Dumpy drivethru car wash that charges as much to wash your car as any mechanical wash 2 dollars and I barely got around my car to rinse one time

  • Allen Alejandro

Your loonie won't last long. Couldn't even go around my small car pre rinsing. Better go to Rivercity car wash in Osborne, lots of bays too.

  • Jim Rodewald

Charges $25.00 on my credit card. Should have been $ 9.00. Never going back there after getting ripped off. Use coins only if you go there.

  • Sunshine Layton

Charged $25 on my credit card for a 4 minute wash. Have not been able to contact management. Other reviews stating the same claim. Crooks!

  • Casey Tina

Never any staff but everything works fine. Been our car wash for years it's never has a lineup and you can pay with credit or coin.

  • Bilane Osman

I used my credit car, only washed for 1 minute, got charged 25$. DO NOT USE CREDIT CARD. Anyone know how I can get my money back?

  • Norm Smith

I guess they have hard water. My vehicle is dark blue, and it doesn't even look like it removed any dirt from it. $7.00 wasted.

  • Totally Hotguy

It's clean and usually not too busy. Open 24 hours but bring your own change because there is no change machine on site.

  • Mahinul Mowla

It charged me 25 bucks on my credit card sopouse to charge 2 dollars totally horrible Don’t go there please

  • Chris Tycholis

Cheapest car wash I can think of. Less then a dollar a minute and you can use your debt or credit cards.

  • Sean Lavery

Been going there for 30 years. Not much to look at but everything is maintained well and good value.

  • Rebecca

Great spot for a quick do- it- yourself car wash. Often long lineups especially on sloppy days.

  • Jamie Muzik

I always wash my truck here. Love that I can swipe my credit card and wash till I'm content.

  • Darryl Field

I didn't time it, but I think you might get about only a minute of washing for a loonie.

  • Norm Smith

Terrible place, hard water truck looks worse finished then when I started. Wasted $7.00.

  • Ed Jones

Pressure washers make bicycle cleaning a snap. May be suitable for automobiles as well.

  • Shamsher Singh Waraich

They charged $25 dollars for 5 minutes wash it shows $5 when i left and stop washing

  • Matthew Young

It works well but is a bit confusing but overall the car was washed successfully!

  • Leanne G

Always wash my truck here. Not too busy. Easy coin or credit card payment.

  • the fire clan

Minty clean car ..great place... Back ally is a off road path thow.

  • Mac Gerard Perez

Open 24 hours! It has 4 bay stations. Accept credit card and coin

  • Yevgenii Burunchenko

Vacuuming wasn't work last time. AT ALL. Only noise no action.

  • Hardik Pal Singh

My to go place for my weekly car wash. Very handy machinery
