Definitely depends on what you’re looking at in a church as to whether or not CBC can meet your needs, but even for the needs I have that CBC CAN meet, I have see a lack of follow up and or Christ like behavior in paid leadership-positioned people across multiple ministries there. And some ministries would thrive better were they run by actual licensed professionals, but hey, it’s a”Yes Xyz needs improvement AND at least this place is trying.” They have a plethora of volunteers who ARE the hands and feet and serve with genuineness, so that plus that the head pastor gives listener guides for notes reference for us new to the Word partakers ALMOST makes up for the bad taste left in my mouth on the other experiences, but I can’t quite shake what, from the outside and as a whole, appears flavored with hypocrisy. 3 out of 4 people in a crisis come to a church before ie counseling with mental health and in this day and age where a place claims regularly to be a spiritual hosptial and place that champions all people in all places? Ehhh, I pray for leadership hearts to be changed, illumined, regularly. That said? Good for a weekend word that can make someone who is down or lost feel good even if they’re struggling with their Godlationship, as far as weekend sermons go. Good if anointing with oil from James is something you feel called to partake in as they typically anoint at every service. Improved baptism process if you need that service. They do preach regularly and sometimes in an entire series on subjects that, from what I understand, other churches will only whisper about - mental health/suicide, abortion, church hurt, etc - so that is good to see. They also host multiple community events and have a park for the city open year round with recreation courts and a splash pad, etc, so that is a good benefit to the city. I also like that there are services in three languages every weekend - English, American ASL and Spanish. The head pastor seems from the stage to be a very down to earth person, tho I’ve had different experiences in closer face to face (but what can you do when you’re the public face and everyone externally and internally are looking to you, AND you wrestle with your own hang ups? I get it, and pray for the man regularly.), but then those times save one? Is when he’s in between sermons anyhow, and the fact he does any face to face at all? God bless him, and his family. At the end of the day? I love this place and keep being drawn back after God calling me here seven years or so anyway, and yet often want to flip a table out of sheer frustration - to watch what seems to be more than can be chewed being bitten off before other, currently existing issues would be fixed? It breaks my heart. I wish there were ie feedback surveys or some way to gauge “What is the congregation disliking/wanting more of?” for a congregation that big, and lol I’d volunteer to BE on that team, God willing. But for now, it’s not time. I believe all in Gods time & that the mistakes here aren’t necessarily out of any truly unchristness, but a lack of awareness, professionalism and communication skills.I am thankful that this place has intention to lift hearts and help others, and will be all the more proud to ie put that sticker on my car once there seems to be some other issues ironed out. In the meantime I will pray, drop my name in the volunteer hat as my energy allows, likely shop for a secondary church where I really can find discipleship and feel like family not just wish I did, AND still keep coming here. God isn’t done with CBC yet. In the name of Jesus, free this place from constraint and ignorance & self importance and unawareness and let people see what’s in their own eye, as well as see and tend better to those most unseen or in lack. As this corner of the world cries out in birthing pains, let CBC become more fully a place where our city can run to and find the community from ACTS, not only when they beg hard enough/know someone who knows someone who knows someone or etc, but simply because each there has of Christ.

I’ve been at stone CBC since Chris Emmitt was the pastor and I was living on Redland rd. I have actively seen with my own eyes how this church has changed throughout the years. I understand completely that it’s a whole new crowd, as Pastor Ed’s main goal is to be a church for all of San Antonio and I really do love that. However, I do not enjoy seeing the woman attending church in inappropriate & revealing clothes. At the end of the day, that’s none of my business, and the MAIN reason I was pushed to leave this review today was because of the white, male, pastor preaching to the 2nd and 3rd graders today for the 12pm service. (I state his color and gender because I didn’t get his name) I left service early, as something just wasn’t sitting right with me today in service and went to get my son. As I was walking towards the class, I could clearly hear the pastor on the microphone getting after some kids. I walked in to see that it was a couple of kids sitting up front on the floor who appeared to have the wiggles. He ANGRILY, (NOT nicely OR patient), he angrily got after the kids and said if they didn’t stop he was going to call their parents to immediately escort them out: as the little boys tried calmly explaining, he shut them down and RUDELY and sarcastically asked them, as if he was speaking to another adult his age, “did I ask you?” Boy oh boy was I GLAD to walk in and catch that. I loudly stated, “I am so glad I walked in just in time to get my son out of here!”. Then immediately had a conversation with my son as we walked out about “bad” people and “bad” adults, EVEN if they’re pastors of someone who should be trusted. This review is being left, in hopes of other parents seeing this post before deciding to attend this church or not and to leave their kids. Every parent should know. I will never in my life go back to this church, and I will never recommend it to anyone in the area who have kids. With all that being said, The pastor is great and always has been. He’s the reason I even kept going back. Unfortunately, I have to make sure my KIDS are in good hands as well.

If I could 0 stars I would. I was referred to CBC “Celebrate Recovery” program. Now my affliction isn’t horrible but it has cost me almost everything I have and love.I brought my son with me, who I had to talk into to coming. So he could get some help. WE WANTED HELP!!!! We were told because we didn’t come to orientation and fill out some online form that we had to come back next week. People who are addicts and habitual abusers of things. It takes a lot of humility to even walk through the doors and ask for help. But to come in and be dismissed and told to come back next week, not to mention the cold heartless and snarky way it was done. Makes you want to just quit. I am a believer in God and when you pray and ask for help. HE never asks you to come back next week because you need to fill out an online request or go to orientation. HE is always there and always willing to help. God forbid I was on my last rung of desperation and this was my last hope to get help or to prevent me from spiraling downward terribly. I believe they need better people helping during these things and not someone who just wants to drink coffee and eat donuts and wear a neat badge with their picture all laminated. People who are proactive and figure out how to get people and their children the help they need. I can not express my deep disappointment on this. More over this was my first time at this campus. I heard stories before but choose not to believe them. This experience makes all those stories valid. Wish this had gone better. I was really excited to continue my walk with God.

Photo taken from playground: men with guns. Found out way after the fact it was DPS training without lights or safety vest or ID or having even 1 person on crowd control. I heard tires screech and watched 4 unmarked vehicles block in a 5th unmarked vehicle. Men swarmed the vehicle with long guns, and no ID on their jackets. They backed off and got in a stack and advanced, with someone in jeans pulled from the vehicle. I proned out with my 4 year old and had the other parents get down. After a long 5 minutes I told everyone “they” weren’t going to give us an “all clear”. I took my son to the car and left. After I called the church and 911 I was called back and told the weapons were “Blue Guns”. I’ve been reading cop magazines since the 80’s and I know what a Blue Gun (tm) is; at best the weapons were black “rubber ducky” trainers. So to recap: unidentified “police” “practiced” a felony stop with weapons 25 yards from a playground, perpendicular to the driver’s door in line with where the “suspect” would have fired at the “police”. No lights, no warning, no ID, no “all clear”. If this is DPS “professional conduct” endorsed by the CBC, we can worship literally anywhere else.

I was in search of a church that would give me the same experience that I had back home. I loved my church and was afraid I wasn’t going to find a church that compared. I tried out several churches and never felt satisfied. I needed something with great music for worship, an overwhelming feeling of the holy spirit in our midst and a pastor that was both hilarious and full of god given and Bible derived wisdom. Also a pastor who doesn’t just tell you what you want to hear but reads scripture and tells you like it is no matter what. One Sunday my mother and I went to cbc, pastor Ed delivered an amazing message (as always) and had everyone jangle their keys around, I had never seen so many people go to the stage before to accept Christ. It was so beautiful! I looked over to my mom, started crying tears of joy from the holy spirit and said “this is it, this is the one”. I LIVE CBC SO MUCH, I recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants to be part of a church who loves and serves our God as well as gives back to the community and helps people stay connected through events and small groups. If you haven’t tried cbc, you really need to.

This pastor really teaches the word of God and is not afraid to address what’s going on in the world political gender etc. there has not been one time I have been there that I did not learn something new and that’s for me. The 5 pm Sat service and 1:21 Sunday service is recommended because there are no real time restrictions. They always do altar call. Lot of things are spirit led. Lots of parking and carts for those who need a ride to church. 4 ways to get to get in and out of the church. On the church campus there is pickle ball sand volleyball basketball court wetpad or splash pad (like the pearl) and play area for kids open from sun up to sun down (sunset). They have resources to help with mental health, financial, if you need help with setting boundaries, if you need help with healing from the inside out, ministries for all ages, men groups, woman’s groups, couples groups, marriage groups. Great place if you feel that your previous church is not feeding you. I currently know 5 people that serve at other churches but get fed here. Pull up on us !

Why do so many churches blast their music? I'm in the process of trying to find a church home so that I don't feel as isolated as I have been. The problem is that if it's a newer-age church, the type that I tend to like, the music is so loud you have to yell into your neighbors ears for them to hear you. I can feel the vibrations in my body, and my ears ring for days afterwards. This volume isn't good for my ears, and it can't be good for my baby's ears in the womb either. This is the case with this church. I won't be returning because of the volume, even in the overflow area. This church is a megachurch. It has a broadcast on TV. The attendees are total strangers to each other. When parking, people are inconsiderate. When trying to find a seat, people are cold. You're isolated in a mass of people. The parking lot is a total disaster. It took us 45 minutes just to get out of the lot.

I have been going to CBC for almost 2 years , I was invited when I was at my lowest and never stop going at 1st I would go to all service on Sunday and just be there because I felt safe and at peace, I also joined a womens group for almost 2 years and have so many sisters in christ now . I am 2 years sober and have invited so many of my friends and family . Pastor Ed and Stephanie and all other pastors are amazing and I thank God I said yes to the invitation , I was baptized there and my life is full of joy and peace because this church help me grow and continue to grow my walk and relationship with Christ .If you want a relationship with Jesus , a friendship and to understand the Good News , the Bible . then head on over and start the New Year 2024 on the right path towards Our Savior . Thank you CBC for helping me turn my life around and all your Blessings and Prayers .

CBC is not just a church, It's a family. Its home. Pastor Ed is amazing. Just when you get wrapped up in a life story he's telling thinking why is he talking about this...BAM its tide into scripture so then there's that OHHHH AHA moment because NOW not only did he share a piece of him and his family or travels, he's used those things to explain what that particular scripture or Bible story is. The Bible has always been difficult to understand for me. It feels like its all in riddles I have to figure out and interpret. Pastor and his team make it so that not only does it pull you in because of the way in which hes delivering it, its now understood. Were moving to Austin in a few months. The only way I told my spouse I'll agree with moving is if we continue to drive in for services. I love my church. I love my Pastor and the team.

  • Kayla Kimball

Truly the best place. Pastor Ed has a way of taking the Bible and using analogies to help everyone better understand it. Before finding CBC, I struggled understanding the word, but this place has been God sent in helping those like myself understand and relate to the word easier. I feel so close to God after finding CBC. I am so thankful to have found it in my faith journey. Could not recommend more. God is using CBC and Pastor Ed as a vessel to the word. Do not be fooled by the size of this church. It is a small church feel with a big congregation because the word is so good. I love seeing how many people have turned to God thanks to CBC. They always use the word of the Bible vs other mega churches who just say feel good things. They keep it real. LOVE CBC!!

  • cheri-ann uncangco

This church is awesome!!! Going here changed my life in such a beautiful way. There's no other church I would attend. They welcome you with open arms and show the true meaning of what a community and pastor should look like. It's a big church; over a thousand people attend and you can come as you are. It's non denominational. Before service they sing songs and it feels concertlike. The pastor then does a "Bible study" and he relates it to life today. He helps you to understand the Bible better and the whole church community always lend helping hands. It's a beautiful church to go to and I don't think my description does it justice. If you're ever in the area, stop by and see for yourself.

  • daniello flores

I've been going there for about 6-7 yrs when I'm in town, I went the last Sunday for the yr. Pastor just talked about all the money they have donated or given to certain places probably people's that don't even attend the church , I'm a senior citizen homeless I had 1 dime in my pocket no gas in car, nothing to eat , I asked if they would be kind and help me with 1 gallon of gas and they said no, they don't help senior citizens, that really broke my heart after hearing pastor Ed bragging about all the money they give away nobody could help me with $ 2.65, I ran out of gas on the highway, this man from Minnesota bought me 1gal and he wasn't even a Christian

As my first visit to the actual church (online churchgoing family), I was amazed at the sheer size of the facility. Starting with the parking lot, the lot itself is huge. The spaces are good sized. There are shuttles that will come out to the farther spots to help facilitate getting people inside without having to walk too far. Inside, there were plenty of seats, and the seats were comfortable. The message was outstanding and so meaningful. The music was contemporary and easy to listen to. The process for getting out was just as easy as getting in. I had a good experience. If you’re looking for a good church in the area, try this one out.

  • Shannon Amick

Amazing worship team! And an even better Pastor Ed! Started at this church in 7th grade when it was behind Willies and moved with them to the now location. Stopped going in my adult years and always had an excuse to not go. My family and I have been back every Sunday for the last 2 months and it’s been amazing what God has spoken to me. Feels like every service is just for me. My 5 year old daughter even begs to go and loves her Sunday school class! Looking to get more involved with the groups soon too! It’s a large church but once your inside , you feel like family and surrounded by believers who are just like you.

  • Liz Green

The church is really clean and pretty, but when we went to attend a event to get to know people we felt really unwelcome. No one made us feel comfortable and no one was there to tell us where to go. We just wondered the halls alone. It felt to big for us. Also the one time we met a person who went there they where very judge mental to the fact I was raised Catholic and even said well even people like you can come . I am not a space alien, “people like me?” Hurt my feelings .I know you can’t judge a whole congregation on one person or one experience, but for us it wasn’t our church.

  • Rosemary Gómez

Definitely a welcoming environment for anyone where you’re visiting San Antonio or already live here. I love the realness that Pastor Ed and the rest of the staff bring when they share the message. I love that the Bible is opened and referenced and there is something for everyone. From youth , to men, women, veterans, single people etc. the small groups they have allow you to open up even more and create a since of community. I definitely recommend you attend at least once. You won’t regret it and will want to go back or listen online time and time again. God bless you!❤️

  • Oscar Manners

Great place of worship. 1st Pastor Ed's sermons are on point to enlighten you about the teaching of the Bible. There is no politics, no homophobia and it's Multi-racial. 2nd There is Sunday school & daycare on campus for babies to teens. 3rd kid playground for after church (kid incentive) and open during the week as well. 4th Plenty of parking and shuttles to move you on Sunday. 5th Covered basket ball court. 6th Daycare during the week. 7th many more other events and service. There is a sincere felling of family for a mega church that's not begging for donations.

  • GS & SL Storrs

Wonderful spirit at this church. We have only been to one meeting, and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the worship music. It is refreshing to find music that you can sing with, that fills your soul with the Spirit of God, and that you can commune with as you sing and praise God. Tired of the late latest trend of meaningless words and shallow chanting that seem so popular performed by a worship team that is on stage for their own glory. The people were warm and friendly, not found in every church. The sermon was wonderful. We will definitely go back.

  • Albert A

Came with my wife as we were looking for a new church. I thought CBC could be our home church. While my wife was in a class with some ladies, I decided to take our dogs for a walk in the out door area. A security guard approached me and said I couldn't have my dogs in that outdoor area and had to leave. This security guard seem to take his job a little too serious and made this church very unwelcoming. I guess he did his duty for the day protecting the church from my ferocious dogs in leashes. We will be moving on somewhere else so Paul Blart is comfortable.

  • Michael Mosca

From the moment I got near the church people started all around me stopping what they were doing to help me. I have a fractured femur fractured hip that his healing , and I have just broken my right arm very. Keep on keeping on right? Today I'm on the bus instead of under it. Your message keeps me above the junk in my head. Cause sometimes when I'm alone I'm in Bad Company. Your church is wonderful your message and loving and reasonable. Can't wait to see all my new friends and meet more good people at the Community Bible Church.

Vibes with positive, mature worship a place where MAGIC happens, where your heart will be touched with understanding, love, hope, a place that offers a breath of fresh perspective on all aspects of life, a place that fits the saying "home is where the heart is" A place to learn how to view and interpret the world around us. It shapes our thoughts, emotions, and actions and can greatly impact our overall well-being. By learning to shift our perspective, we can gain new insights and find creative solutions to life’s challenges.

  • Fabulos Kauai

Started watching CBC online from Kauai, with my son then my son moved to San Antonio & I was visiting regularly to support him & he at first attended several churches in the area & found Pastor Ed & the CBC family most sincere, caring & welcoming, I attend with him when I’m in SA & feel the same way, at first the feel of a mega church was overwhelming having lived on a tiny Island for over five decades, that feeling soon disappeared because of the genuine Love that’s emitted from Pastor Ed & his staff…

  • Jeannette Ortiz

I can’t believe some of the reviews I have read. I used to go every Sunday until COVID now I go occasionally and watch on line other times. I will admit some of the church goers can be off putting but I don’t go to church for them. I go to listen to the word of God. Pastor Ed is an amazing preacher. I like how he talks and then explains it. He’s modern and relatable. The band is amazing. So this is why I love CBC. The complaints are so petty. I highly recommend this church because of the Pastor.

  • Daniel Hurt

Love the wake-up coffee! The diversity is on point, which is rare around the San Anntonio area. I was relieved to know they had childrens church for the little ones. I Iove hearing the speakers presentation. A message that's full of vital need-to-know information! They have different services to choose from. Saturday Night is my family’s favorite because it's like we get extra. And do not feel rushed. I prefer Sunday morning because of the 2nd cup of after service coffee:)

  • Olivia McQueen

We're a military family and we were in search for a home church when we got stationed here in San Antonio. This was our first stop and we absolutely loved it and haven't looked elsewhere. The worship is amazing, the sermons are out of the bible and Pastor Ed has an amazing way of teaching to where everyone fully understands. They have lots of resources and groups for all ages and my 4 year old loves the children's ministry. I will be sad when we have to move again.

  • Selina Draco

Not religious myself, but I went to support a family member in need. Pastor Ed was doing the typical sermon talk; love Jesus, don't sin, etc. Then, out of nowhere, he starts bashing gay and trans people. Then goes right back to the regular sermon. That kind of hatred is why I stopped going to church in the first place. It's not what Jesus taught, that's for sure. Seems like the pastor was preaching his own personal, hateful biases, and not the loving word of God.

  • Raymond Tucker

Just moved to the area and was looking for place to call our church home. I came across negative reviews and we just did not want to go. We passed by the church several times and noticed how crowded it was, and we decided it was Easter Sunday and we needed to go somewhere or drive 2 hours back home to go to church. We went today and we loved it! The people were amazing and message was what we needed. We can't wait until next Sunday to attend again.

  • Marco Antonio Salinas Vega

There's places in this world that you feel his touch from time to time. At CBC you don't only feel it but you actually see it in action thanks to the love and dedication to Christ that starts at the top with our Pastor Dr Ed Newton. Inclusion in Christ is a passion in this church that can be seen throughout everything they do. If youre running on empty, its time to come on in and fill your soul with the only one that will ever satisfy, GOD.

  • Daniel Garcia

Awesome Pastor, love the way he preaches. God brought me to this Church, I prayed to God to help me find a church I could go to, because I was looking for a good church to go to, and in less than 5 minutes a lady stopped and asked me where I was going, I told her I was looking for a church, and she brought me to CBC. Been there since she took me there, and that was in 2005. I thank God for sending someone to bring me to this awesome church.

  • Mo Oceguera

When we moved to NB, we checked out a different church every Sunday. My daughter said she’s heard about a church she wanted to check out but it was in SA. Went to check it out and found our new church home. Best church I’ve ever been to. Pastor Ed is funny, knowledgeable and really holds your attention. CBC really gives back to the community and let’s you know exactly how/where. Great sense of community… CBC is my happy place.

  • Idhaly Muniz (SellingTEXASrealtor)

We have attended CBC for several years & we love our church! We relocated to San Antonio from El Paso in 2009 and we visited many churches before finding our new home church, CBC. We love how relatable each message is, while the word is never downplayed Pastor Ed is very good at preaching. Many stay away from bigger churches because they feel lost or unseen however within CBC the community is friendly and very approachable.

  • J W

The church is filled with the truth . Today the service was so beautiful Pastor Ed truly practices behaviors and actions straight from the Bible . Today they gave money to whoever needed it . No certain dollar amount . If you were a person in need it was for you . What was so beautiful is everyone was adding to the dollar amount to help people in need. If you are looking for a great church that is so diverse Stop by CBC .

  • Chelsea Hancock

I’ve never been a regular attendee of a mega church until moving to San Antonio but I have nothing but good things to say about this church and they do a good job at making you feel welcome! The daycare is awesome with multiple classrooms for different ages, an entire older kids ministry, many bathrooms, a bookstore, free coffee and Pastor Ed hits the nail on the head every single service. I love CBC!

  • Luis B. Cardenas

What a place I’ve found here in SAT, sound doctrine, thoughtful and clear teaching, thriving community active in demonstration of the power of God’s love in a multidimensional and might way. You have got to love the worship too. There’s not a time when I do not feel challenged, fed, encouraged in the pursuit of our high calling in Christ. Recommend a visit to this banquet of God’s grace!

  • Tianna Hass

We recently started going and love the messages. My kids also have been going to Impact (youth group) on Wed nights and have made great friends and look forward to going every week. The only thing that is difficult is one of my teens is on the spectrum, so the loud music is hard for him to deal with, so be aware for anyone else with sensory issues. Overall a great church.

  • Josh Martin

Pastor Ed Newton is anointed and boldly teaching the word of GOD. He took time unrushed to meet Darrell and I on our first visit and shared beautiful words of encouragement. The energy is incredible. I also attend a Bible study group with some dynamic members of CBC. Friendly staff, welcoming environment, and most of all the spirit of the LORD is manifested.

  • Linda Marie

Love this house of God. You can really feel God’s presence. The message is always great, people are welcoming & they have so much to offer as far as classes to help you in your walk with God no matter where you are on your path. Pastor Ed is very real & relatable which is refreshing to my family & myself in today’s world of “preachers”. Highly recommend!!

  • Nicole Valdez

Pastor Ed is the man !!! We’re not a family who comes from church or let alone we’re introduced to the Bible in a way of worship. My honey isn’t a man of faith as he grew up believing in the Buddha. But after 14 Sundays with CBC I know the day is coming when my honey will rise on his feet to accept Jesus Christ as his lord and savior !!! Thank you CBC!!

  • Lauren Hockenberry

Absolutely love CBC, and Pastor Ed. The worship team always makes me emotional, and in a good way. I love the fact that this church has a pastor that can explain things down to my level, and I can grasp what he’s speaking on! Being a new believer, the easier the better!! Never changing churches again! We are CBC and CBC are we! …

  • Ying Chen

Love this place! Truth and Mercy. The ❤️of the people and the presence of God strong! My husband loves the Mens Group and my teenage boys love the youth! We were just at Welcome Home and enjoyed a great night with the Pastors and great dinner too! Thank you Pastor Ed and family for obeying God and fulfilling HIS work …

  • Gabriel Otero

CBC turned me and my family away because I was exercising my second amendment right. I understand that they have armed police there, but there was no 30.06 / 30.07 posted anywhere and I felt discriminated against. We will be looking for another church. One that won’t deny me my right to protect myself and my family.

  • Amie LG

This is not a church. This is a business. Your typical "modern feel good" place where people don't have any respect for the "house of God" with the way they dress and drinking in the sanctuary. People being led to the slaughter by a lost preacher. So sad. Jesus, help those attending and being falsely led.

I absolutely love being in this place! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, the kids love going to their classes, Pastor Ed just has a way with his words and is just so kind and humble and normal! It is a place filled with love and a bunch of People who want to be better people! No better place to be!

  • ashley hernandez

I love how the church is centered around our children. Not only do I learn how to live a life closer to God but I learn how to be better for my family. They are so welcoming. My teenage boys have never had so much interest in going to church until after we started going here. We love it.

  • For Which I Stand

Pastor Ed gets his sermons across so well. Really brings his meaning 'home'. I do wish they had more classes & oppurtunities to learn during the week, though. They have some, but every time I look, they are full already. Often, I would like to be in the church more than once a week.

Started going about 2 months ago. Amazing church, very friendly staff, volunteers, people. They offer child care while services are going, men's, women's, & couple groups during the wk. Also, offer kids summer camps and adult retreats. There are so many things to do with CBC church.

  • Curt Davis

There is just an endless supply of good things one could say about CBC. If you simply have questions about God or looking for a home church, CBC is a must stop on your journey. There, you will not feel any pressure to join, but you will feel love, get answers, and inspiration.

  • Txrisingsun

  • Kimberly Crouch - Smith

The BEST church in San Antonio! So glad I found it - Pastor Ed explains everything in ways that I can actually understand. I feel so comfortable coming here that (most of the time) I go alone and I always feel great and feel I am learning so much and growing closer to God

  • Joshua N

Family of four, recently retired from the military. We have been members for five years and have used many of the classes to improve our marriage and spiritual wellbeing. The church is the real deal. God has blessed the church and will continue to do so. God Bless CBC

  • American Made Gym

It was a great church until recently. They are not 2nd Amendment compliant. They do not have any 30.06/30.07 signs. They said it was private property, and they didn’t need them. They said I was not welcome in. I will not put my family’s safety in another man’s hands.

  • Tracy S.

It's a really big congregation! The atmosphere is very inviting and they serve really good free coffee. There is plenty of parking. However, since there is a mass of members attending the parking, you can get overwhelming getting in and out of the parking lot.

  • Jazi Nova

Cbc is the best church! I've been going for 15 years now. Pastor Ed Newton is down to earth, funny and a real God's man. Cbc offers so many classes and hosts many events. You always feel welcomed. It's just a great place to worship and listen to God's word.

Been attending for over a year faithfully. This church is amazing. Love Pastor Ed. His message weekly is always powerful, down to earth feel, doesnt tell you what you want to hear, rather what WE need to hear. The 1:21 service is hands down my favorite.

  • Daniel Watson

Jesus is preached here. Pastor Ed is real, raw, and transparent. There is something different about CBC that can not be be fully expressed in a review. If you are unsure, just come out or watch a previous message on YouTube. Thank you for your time.

  • Nicole Castro

Awesome church! Wonderful pastor! It is really hard to get into a small group though. I filled out the form several times, emailed, they'd tell me to fill out the form again, so I would. Took about 8 months but I finally got into one.

  • Tahra Canady

Warm, welcoming church with an excellent worship band. Pastor Ed is bold yet humble and annointed preacher. He teaches from God's Word and doesn't skip over the "hard" stuff. Free coffee and bottled water in the lobby is a nice touch!

  • Chona Wiesehan

We have always been small church people, but the authenticity and transparency that we have experienced at CBC has been incredible. As unexpected as it was for us to ever call a mega church our “home”, we are so grateful to be here.

The word and explanation of it is awesome. The worship is for real, the praise is high and the church is growing. Five services on the weekend. I'm an early bird so 8:30am works great for me. Pastor Ed is so real and transparent.

The head pastor gives mediocre sermons that are more common sense and don't really need to be said. The snacks and hot cocoa are great though! And the guest speakers are pretty good too …
