This has nothing to do with the Church Services/Mass. The following is in relation to the Easter Event we attended Saturday, April 1, 2023. The event itself was worth going, but had some coordination issues and a couple other items. 1) we chose a slot per the website thinking only those with that slot will be in attendance. Turns out this was false. There were 100s in attendance so even if you arrived at the earliest you weren't kicked out till the end. So realistically speaking there was no real point in time slots. 2) there was a separation of Easter Egg hunt sections. One for age 0 to 3 and the other were for the bigger kids. The first time we went (0 to 3 year old) they allowed A LOT of kids and parents in the squared area to "hunt" for eggs to the point we only got about 4 or 5 before leaving the area as everyone was right next to each other almost shoulder to shoulder. Another issue was within the eggs there were surprises. Those surprises consisted of non age appropriate candy such as twizzlers, skittles, jolly ranchers and other candies (picture attached). When we went a second time it was a lot better experience but it was towards the end. Our child was able to take their time collecting eggs and even inspecting them (opening and closing them) without being trampled or hurried. 3) The bouncy houses weren't coordinated enough to satisfy the kiddos. 1 of them timed it at under 2 minutes and forced the kids to the slide and out. We went in line a couple times before the line became very long. Another bouncy castle had an extremely long line so we tried going towards the end, but was told they were closing it up already (close to 12pm end of event). Another one we tried which was a smaller bouncy house had no coordination whatsoever until we spoke up. The line itself was so close to the entrance that the volunteers themselves didn't have room to move much less breathe or follow who is next etc. No one timed the kids at that castle and the whole situation was chaotic. Some kids were horseplaying, others kept sliding out and heading right back in instead of forming the line allowing another child to go in. Heck some were laying down while others jumped around them making it dangerous overall. We spoke up and asked the rules. After doing so they allowed less kids inside and gave the groups between 3 and 5 minutes before telling them to head to the slide (lots of time). There was also more attention to kids attempting to cut the line or go back in after sliding out. Overall free and great event minus some coordination issues and other items of discussion. Thus remaining of 5 stars as I fully understand its free and volunteers so we appreciate the whole event as it tired our child out as much as possible. As noted above any event like an egg hunt parents just be careful of whats within.

Well, I have been going off and on to this church since I was a teenager, and at first I really loved it, and I felt the Holy Spirit's presence constantly. However, over the years I have met and come across some people that went, and found out; that they were fake. I know every church has their fake crowd, so I just didn't pay attention to them anymore, trying to keep my focus on the Lord. I go every so often, and a few yrs back I went with my special needs daughter who was about 4yrs old at the time. They have a room called the wiggle giggle room for parents to be able to sit with their young kids and infants during the sermon. Well, since there aren't any special needs classes or trained staff for out situation, I tried to go in this room. I was blocked immediately by this rude latin lady and was told my daughter needed to go where she belonged. I explained her situation to her and told her she will not be calm in a room with strangers and that she isn't verbal that much and needs to be with my husband and I. She still did not allow us at all to enter the wiggle giggle room. So we went to church that morning only to spend the entire time out in the lobby to hear the sermon. After that, we tried again a few weeks later and was given the same rude treatment by that lady and an usher. So, trying to keep my cool in the "house of God" I went upstairs to speak to a pastor. I spoke to pastor Molina and pastor Ryan. We explained our situation to them and they were very nice, and told us to always tell them who won't let us in that room, we have an automatic pass, since our daughter has autism. I appreciated their compassion for your little one, but ever since that happened it just reminded me of all the fake people I have come across in that church from the past. Once in a blue moon we will go, but my oldest daughter doesn't like the junior high youth group, she states all they talk about is boys, partying, and typical gossip amongst the kids in this group. She also says that they hardly participate in their bible study there, and that the pastor or leader in charge of the youth group is not really involved as they should be with them. She feels it is nothing but a big social scene. Plus, my oldest was struggling with spiritual warfare regarding spirits she was constantly seeing, she explained it to the youth pastor, and all he did was pretend he cared and we wanted to see if he could come and pray in our house to help my kid feel better, he said he would be never called us like he said nor check up on my daughter when we went next time. He really let my kid and the family down, and just made us feel like he thought she was crazy, by the sarcastic look on his face in the first place.

I have been going to this Church for a few months now. I am from Dallas and have always gone to Church's who were aggressively asking for money in order to build bigger Church's, versus expanding their ministries. Westover has been transparent in showing where their money is going, in regards to their missions. Pastor Jim and his worship staff does an amazing job of showing the Church they are focused on bringing you closer to God and establishing, and/or restoring your relationship with God. They also have expanded their existing ministries through a sports ministry (Softball, Volleyball, Basketball) on the same campus, for a very small fee, compared to other leagues. My own boyfriend (who is also a Veteran and VERY RARELY shows emotion), started coming to this Church and was brought to tears a few times. I know that the Holy Spirit is present during worship, and I too fight crying every time (to no avail). I appreciate this Church and it's programs to bring followers closer to Christ. Thank you Pastor Jim. The only experience I did not appreciate was a lady's attitude (part of the staff) that was standing outside of the Cafe, monitoring those who came into the building and out of the cafe. She failed to mention that coffee was not allowed, into the Sanctuary AFTER we bought a small cup of hot chocolate. She had an ugly attitude and decided to mention NOTHING except water was allowed, after we had already purchased the hot chocolate. Her tone was very rude. Other than that specific person needing to work on their communication, I've had a very pleasant experience at Westover Hills.

A few years ago I visited Westover Hills - I loved the praise and worship before the services. It was lovely and upbeat; however something didn’t quite seem right, I wasn’t sure exactly what it was, so I didn’t go back. Since then, my sister is a regular at the church and I’m happy that she found a place to worship, she invited me to the Easter service, so I decided to go. During the service the pastor began talking about how he and his wife has been married for 42years, I thought to myself what a blessing that was. Then he began talking about his wife’s ex boyfriend, and how he was a loser, he didn't just say it once but a few times. Also he began talking about how his wife must have gotten tired of wiping drool off his mouth.... Does our Lord think that the ex is a loser? I know he was trying to be funny but he took it too far. With thousands of people attending the services ... I’m sure there’s someone wiping the drool of their loved ones, you may think that someone is a loser but in someone else’s eyes he is their prince. I just can’t believe he said those things. people look up to a pastor, the service really should have been more about the resurrection of our lord....not about how he stole his wife from a “loser” 40+ years ago.

I never thought I would have such ugly things to say about a church, and the people working within it. This place is shady and gives off a very "money hungry" type of feeling. This church for one is huge and seems nice, until you pay closer attention. The staff in the main office of the daycare is unprofessional and rude, I was picking up my sister and I overheard the young ladies upfront talking about another employee in the most Untasteful manner. I believe that if you are working within a church you should not be so judgemental and harsh towards someone's lack of skill. I am also very disappointed with the lack of order, and cleanliness within the daycare itself, there is not one day that my sister does not come home filthy, bruised/scratched, and she is always sick. The teachers for the most part are doing what they can, but from what I can see they are not allowed to take any sort of action on a child who has hit, bitten or scratched another child. The staff seems very unhappy and the higher up employees treat the teachers like dirt. It's disappointing that I Have Nothing good to say other than I'm glad we have removed my sister from this facility. Disgusting!!!

I have been a part of this church for over 14 years. I came here for a concert and had no idea this church what change my life. I found an awesome middle school ministry for my daughter. The music was more than awesome. The church has grown and developed by the hand of God blessings. There are many groups to become involved in. The pastors and leadership genuinely care about each person that walks through the doors. There is something to minister to every person from the nurseries to the seniors on all levels. There are many many groups to be a part of. The teaching is Bible founded, in a world where the truth is hard to find. The worship time is Holy Spirit inspired. There are many prayer team members standing in faith believing each service ready to bring your needs before the Lord. Bible promises, Those that hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled. The Bible does not promise this to those that dabble and play and look for fault. Bleessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. This church is not for everyone, though all are welcome. This church is for the God seeking, Christ followers, not the perfect, but the forgiven.

Two stars because of the childcare center. I walked in with nothing and walked out with a welcome mug. I want a service that teaches me new things, elaborates on the word of Jesus, something that connects me to Jesus. The sermon today on 7/23/23 was on how to take care of yourself. The pastor included little lists of how to take care of yourself. It felt like he put up bulletins of a google search. Not to mention he openly says prayer isn’t enough we need to use Gods gift which is doctors and medicines. He said doctors are given godly knowledge??? weird isn’t it? He continues to tell all grown adults to ask friends for help if you need it and to make sure you get good friends who don’t gossip because if they do, at some point it’ll happen to you. Such a superficial message with no Jesus in it except for the occasional scripture about your well-being. I felt as if I was in a children’s class about how to take care of yourself. My mother and I left early. I need a pastor with fire and passion for Jesus. This church felt like a scam. I’d have rather walked away learning something as opposed to a coffee mug.

Pastures are awesome! Was baptized a 2nd time there a couple years back. They Make me cry every time and fill my heart with so much joy. It's beautiful and I really miss going there. Unfortunately, it's filled with too many hypocrites. I've been judged by so many people I've never had the pleasure of meeting. Frowned upon and even made fun of to teach me a lesson in a way they feel fit. Destroyed 2 yrs of my life. When I was in need of help, so many backs were turned on me. Made me lose my faith a few times. Even felt hatred so badly that I wanted to end my life. Blaming God for all that went wrong, but as always I'd find my way back to our father. What ever happened to helping and accepting others when in need no matter how terrible they've been? What happened to forgiveness? I'm not perfect but I'm human and have a heavy heart. I just want to send prayers and forgiveness to those who are truly in need of God. I don't hold grudges. I simply pray for all those who feel the need to hate. Our father forgives...so can I. Love always and God bless!

I have been a part of Westover Hills Assembly of God for over two decades. I have both grown and been able to serve to make a positive difference in others lives, and to be a support to others by some means by the mercies of God, and the support of our Pastors and leaders. The atmosphere is an atmosphere where everyone can grow from any point they are at by opening their heart to receive from God, no matter what they are going through or their station in life. Those who seek God with all their heart will find Him. There are many life groups to choose from that are a vital part of spiritual growth that help to build strong relationships and for strength to face the storms of life. There is something for everyone at Westover, from newborns to Senior adults including, opportunities to serve that include risk awareness training and team support. Come and be a part of the body of Christ where you can grow and serve together to build the Kingdom of God.

I love my church especially the worshipping I just don't like the changes and I know changes is always good and never stay in the past but thing that should of not been removed like the cafe may don't serve food but at lease drinks and the benches in the hall way while serves is still going give people a place to sit like the elderly and people with bad feet pain and also for the security and working staff be more friendly and happy to everyone not just there favorites I sometimes I don't feel like coming and I know we all go through things but we don't need to though it on others. I am sorry for my compliant I just feel like GOD put in my heart to tell you. GOD Bless you pastors and the church and for it to countieing to growing. A prayer to Westover hills Church Heavenly Father I ask that your Precents be in the Church all the time that darkness has no athorty in the Church and everything that is hidden in dark come to LIGHT. Amen

My wife and i have been attending for the last 8 months and we love this church. i particularly like the emphasis they put in childrens ministries. all children are expected and encouraged to go to sunday class with their respective age groups and i feel that this is a great idea in advancing the children and teaching them good wholesome christian teachings. we take our 4 year old grandson with us every week and he cant wait to get to church and to his classroom! how refreshing that is in todays world. they also have 3 services to accomodate the large congregation and encourage that you get involved with a small group or other ministries that are available. church should be more that just attending the service and listening to the sermon and going home and forgetting about what you just heard. this is a great church in which to get involved in and serve to further the kingdom of God.

Started off at this school several years ago and it was great. Our child was learning so much and doing very well. The teachers were great and we enjoyed everything about the school. Then came the time for our child to enter the 3 year old class. They have 35 kids in one class. This is way to many kids. They are always out of control. Every time I have been to the school for pick up the kids are wild and out of control and the poor teachers (2) look stressed out. I discussed this with one of the teachers and she stated several parents are upset that their kids went from a class of around 20 kids to 35 with the same amount of teachers (2). Management doesn't care. It's clearly starting to become about the money. How many kids can we get in a classroom. We are done with this program.

Our church since 1996. We love it! It’s a large church, and so a critical part is immersing yourself in the community, for your deeper spiritual growth. This is easy here, but it does take the effort to go try new things to find the groups you connect with. I like how our church reaches out to the community with sports ministry and the care ministry. Small groups really allow us to “carry each other’s burdens” and celebrate each other’s life in a meaningful way. The new School of Ministry will help adults go deeper in their knowledge of God’s ways. Can you see why it’s been our family for so long? :) If you come and like it, please connect yourself to others. It’s easier to get lost or stay alone in a bigger church, but don’t settle for that—we all need each other.

Has 3 Sunday services to accomadate all the people. Parking is always packed; although they do have great security on hand. They prefer students go with their own age; which I think rather breaks up the family. However, the programs are excellent for them. Due to the small sanctuary for the Contemporary Service, you must arrive on time or you will not find room. Yep, a couple had to wait till the next service due to how full this church gets. I The pastor loves the Lord and uses his gifts of the Spirit. The choir is excellent and you can tell it is their ministry and not a job. A huge church with many members. As a visitor I did feel somewhat lost due to it's size. I figure if you plug in you can feel more at home.

  • Krista Trejo

It's literally the best church I have ever been to the presence of God is extremely prominent in that place and the people over there from the people who work there to the people who volunteer to the pastures are all extremely extremely kind and generous and very helpful it's the best church to go to and I highly recommend that everybody tries Going there at least once To give it a chance. Even if you have another church that you go to you have 2 experience West overhills for yourself that's how great it is I've been a going there for about a year before that I hadn't been a church in years but I used to go all the time when I was a little girl. I love my church and I wouldn't change going there for anything.

  • Caramelo Boricua

No hell fire and brimstone to sinners, and no condemnation or judgment here. My wife and I became members when we began the pre-matital then marital counseling class. Moreover, the pastoral staff helped me (we weree members of another church at the time) with faith based conflicts at my job with the DOD (challenging and winning against the Department of Defense) my previous mega church out right refusedto help me. Many activities and programs throughout the week are offered for involvement (sports, dinning, events, bible groups). I encourage every couple considering marriage to attend for the programs. Dr. Mussat, also one of the senior pastors is phenomenal, genuinely cares, none judgemental. God bless

Westover Hills Assembly of God is a great church. Westover has a contemporary worship service that encourages and makes you feel comfortable. If you have children this is the place to be. Also the youth service is highly recommended for your student. Westover has one of the largest Sports programs in the area available to the public. Brand new soccer fields are now available also check out the gym for indoor volleyball and basketball. Pastor Ryan speaks from the heart and his messages make sense and promote spiritual growth. If you're feeling down or overwhelmed and could use some uplifting encouragement please consider attending Westover Hills Assembly of God.

  • Matt in Christ Always

Worldly church. The full gospel needs to be embraced not just tithing. Both go together, although the worshiping was great but again the full gospel is Truth, do as a Believer. I would hope this church has more of the Holy Spirit lead this church as I found out it was just becoming that of the world. I spoke up but not enough apparently. Pastors needs the be on Fire for the Lord and it is up to them to not waive the full gospel , meaning it will be recorded snd the accountability is detrimental in all that is preached. Don't preach on the fence but be bold and preach what christ like church needs to be preach in the times such as these.

  • Austin Barnes

Such a wonderful church to not only hear the word of God, but to also be filled with the Holy Spirit! My wife and I started attending in December of 2018 and have not missed a service since. We absolutely love it here!! The key to a full experience at this church is to get involved-which they make very easy. I can’t wait for Wednesday’s and Sunday’s to be here so we can be here. The praise and worship is wonderful, the sermons are always filled with in-depth content, and the people are amazing! My wife and I plan on going to the next steps class this month in order to become members. So blessed and grateful to have found this church!

  • Corina Lucas

  • Matthew Bang

The worship was great, but I ran into a huge church issue, which questioned me in terms of doctrine. They overemphasize on spiritual gifts, which is approximately 10%-15% of the Bible, and that's not good because you're missing out on bigger biblical contexts like why we sin, sexuality, identity in Christ and more. One sermon involves with marriage, but I've never seen them talk about singleness from 1 Corinthians 7 and that's something they need to take very seriously because singleness is a unique gift from God. Please don't take this like I'm bashing out, but this is something I'm pointing out their doctrine issues.

  • Alexis Satel

Have gone to this church for about 3 yrs off and on I don't like that they talk about tithings and play music and sing for the most part. the sermon is short and not to much out of the bible. Very disappointed. they seem to focused on money and collecting donations for other countries. Help the children in the U.S. And pray for America. I really don't want to hear and see videos of Africa for 45 minutes. Just not what I feel church is about.

  • Christian Munoz (Thetallathlete)

I'm giving a "review" not to give anyone a reason to come or not. This is to say that this church was used to talk to me when I was looking for a connection with God. One shouldn't "review" a church because they didn't get what they were looking for. Those who are looking for a hand, and find an ear, cannot get upset. God uses churches differently. And if this isn't your church, look for a church God is calling you for.

  • Yvonne Denise Terrazas

My kids n I love our church! If your looking for friendly faces new friendships, and wanting to feel the holy Spirit..well this is your church now. Everybody connects in one way or another. • John Haskins

My family and I were extremely pleased with this church. They had a service for each school level of our children. Elementary, Middle, High school are offered and our children really enjoyed themselves and felt connected. As far as the main service, my wife and myself felt like we were being talked directly to us. Powerful message, cheerful volunteers, and a genuine sincerity. We will be attending again

  • Blanca Reynosa

I absolutely LOVE our church & the Pastors!!!! We have been going to Westoverhills Hills for several years now and it's just been an Amazing place to attend and be and feel the love and presents of God ❤️ The church has a nursery and kids ministry from grade school to high school & this is an added plus! You can surely focus on the messages while the kids enjoy the classroom times they have as well.

  • Andy Garibay

I just recently got water baptised there with my wife and it was the most satisfying feeling ive had that i was forgiven of my sins not only that it has been a place of worship for my family on saturdays cause of my work schedule and the pastors are so welcoming to who ever comes in i love coming here and will make this my new home of worship very anointing place. MR.AND MRS GARIBAY

  • Fred Rangel

Westover Hills is a solidly bible based church. Teaching and sermons are always on mark. Children are a great priority, with ministers at every age level. Adult based sermons for adults, and children taught at a relative level. Tithing and other ordinances followed properly as per God's word and supported by its members. As a member for over 10 years, I love the consistency.

  • Nadine Lee

I don’t know where to begin! The warmth of the church is amazing, I felt a big ole hug walking through on my way to the auditorium, and know one physically gave me one, as many members smiled and greeted you I felt them in my spirit. I felt like they was telling me welcome home. This is my 4 or 5 time attending. Awesomeness Thank you for knowing how to treat a child of God.

  • Mikayla Stringfellow

The worship and the message was exactly what I needed. I was greeted with a welcoming smile and had someone talk to me after the service about how to get plugged in and hit the ground running. I was informed that their later service on Sunday tends to fill up more than the early service. They do offer a Saturday service if you’re more into a smaller congregation size.

  • Sandra and Scott Lilley

I love this church . Of course everyone is different and has their views. But I can say this is my home away from home . You want to get the word of God and guidance Westover Hills Assembly of God is wonderful. As soon as you get out of your car and you step on to that parking lot your greeted with smiles From their staff and volunteers. And more inside .

3 CHEERS for LORI,! I came with turmoil on the brain and needing to let it out and she ministered to me in the busy halls right before service. I was crying with histrionics to boot; yet, she stayed the course. It was cathartic and healing. I am on a new path. Thank you, Lori, thank you Church, thank you most, GOD! ... I will rest in the FATHERS hands.

  • Mr B

I love my church especially the worshipping the only thing I do not like and not just for my church but other that preach the word of GOD when it come to bring people closer to GOD I BELIEVE CHURCH should not charge for any men or women event cause the purpose is to bring them to JESUS. Again I not saying this forbad intention

  • Paul Nguyen

My first time here. I felt the spirit of worship of the Lord and learned a meaning of Jesus Christ reassurances of His Grace, Love and Salvation of sins for all mankinds. Highly recommended for all, new believers and anyone seeking Jesus faith and teaching. I truly love the worship songs, and the team did an amazing job.

  • Juan Santiago Jr

Church is great but pastor is a joke .. also have paid employees on alter with shady past .. i wrote the church about a certain individual who shouldn’t be in charge of kids sports ministry and pastor didn’t do due diligence and made me to be the liar but public records dont lie .. you’ve been warned!!

  • Sarah Patch

If you are looking for a church with people who genuinely love the Lord and a pastoral staff who truly leads their congregation in truth and love, this is the place. You seriously don't need to look any further. The teaching here is solid and very relevant to today's challenges and needs.

  • Brianna

Most beautiful church I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to cornerstone church. This one is much more fascinating to look at, beautiful place. My sister in law just got baptized and I am honestly thinking about it also, feel so welcome and not out of place! Definitely a great church!

  • David Sampson

We did not attend church there, so I can't rate the church, as a whole. We attended a soccer game for one of our grandchildren. I will say, however, that their sports fields are very well maintained and we'll laid out. The facilities for the sports fields are well kept also.

  • Michael Padron

This has been my home church for years now. I have seen it grow through those years but Pastor Jim stays true to keeping the church feeling small. People are welcoming and always looking at ways to make someone feel special when they walk through those doors.

  • Ashleigh

A very happy and friendly friendly church. Our kids love the children's church here, they get excited for Sunday to come back around so they can go to church. Church is very lively and fun. Always has great sermons, we love coming here.

  • Robert McCullar

Love the Senior Classic Service at 8:30am upstairs in the Chapel with Pastor Fernando. Love the Knowing Jesus class in room 100 with Pastor Johnny. Love the praise music and Pastor Jonathan in the 11:30am service in the main sanctuary.

  • Arturo Burgos

I have only attended this church once and I can say it’s the last. Not to speak poorly but based on my experience I did not feel that the church was in tune with the spirit. They played music at the beginning which is fine.. shortly

  • Elizabeth Wolfenstein (Eliza)

I went with a friend who used to go to this church. The people here, the church goers, are horrendous. They act holier than thou so no reason and are not easy going at all. They act like a money grubby cult more than a church.

  • jojo gunyo

The learning center is a joke the teachers for the most part are great, but the office staff is two faced and treat their employees like crap. And toss away the best teachers like they are trash. STAY AWAY FROM HERE

  • Maggie Santana

I have been coming to Whag for several years. It is home, I enjoy worship so much is like a live concert. Pastor Jim amazing and my kids enjoy kids ministry. They do so much for the community and other countries.

I love the church, the teachings, love how they focus on the family and pour into every part of it marriages, children, the are always praying over the men. Love the humbleness of the Pastor and his wife.

  • Michelle Valdez

Amazing services. Moving music. They always have something going on and I love it. For people of all ages. My kids love coming here; they always look forward to coming every Wednesday and Sunday.

  • F J

The pastors are anointed and are a wealth of knowledge. Sermons are incredibly practical and applicable. My wife and I made this our home church six years ago, and look forward to every Sunday.

  • Yolanda Roxriguez

I Love this church. Ever time I go seems as if it was meant to be for me. I leave there feeling reborn just want to jump as high as I can and say hi five God. It's amazing thank you …

  • Celia Ozuna

Always a wonderful service! I've been to quite a few churches but no other has compared to Westover Hills, they welcome all newcomers with open arms and the facility/grounds is beautiful.

  • Laura Lujan

We've moved here from Las Cruces, NM, and it's already been 1 year. We love Pastor Jim and Pastor John, the worship services, first Wednesday...all of it. It truly touches my heart!!!!
