We are from New Jersey and we're used to good food but we went there and Johnny was our waiter was one of the best waiters we have had a establishment/bar. He was very attentive very nice. When I was done with my drink he had another one ready for me without me even having to ask That's the way it should be when you go to a restaurant. Now let's talk about the food oh my God The food was awesome I wish I could use curse words. I had something as little as chicken fingers with mashed potatoes and when I tell you it was totally different best mashed potatoes I have ever had we both were looking at each other in awe because it was so delicious we both don't understand how something as simple mashed potatoes could be so amazing and my wife The nachos unbelievable I mean unbelievable and trust me we weren't drunk so they were really good. It was so good that she went back the next day at night to get more because never had nachos in a bar or anywhere like this and like I said we are from New Jersey so there's Mexican restaurants all over the place that have five stars and they can't even come close with a 10-ft pole to how good these nachos are were. I got to stop talking about this because it's making my mouth water. I strongly recommend this place and it is ...........Justin certified.....

This business did not allow our small quiet service dog. There was no confusion. I tried to take my wife to eat at this establishment tonight because of an item on the menu. We had her service dog with her. The minute we walked into the door the bartender began screaming for us to leave because we had the dog. My wife told them it is her service dog and the bartender as well as drunken people at the bar began to shame her. The bartender said “sure it is, that’s what they all say”. My wife offered to show proof that he is indeed a real service dog but they weren’t interested. And as my poor wife was leaving they were still trying to shame her and were asking questions about her disability which is illegal. The entire interaction was illegal. The owners should seriously consider firing that bartender. My wife is terribly upset and wants to explore her options and I don’t blame her. Now they’re trying to blame her for confusion due to the small dog carrier we use because our service dog is older. Proof of staff training and education on the LAW would have been a more appropriate response than trying to blame my wife. It is completely unacceptable behavior on their part.

Déjà Vu Restaurant and Bar is a really nice place to grab a bite or a cocktail. We like the friendly service and attention they show to customers. I also really like being able to order breakfast or whatever I like all day long. They offer reasonable prices, quick service and good food. We will be back.

We were starving and it wasn't noon yet.. most places were ready to serve lunch as we walked thru Bourbon Street - so we found Deja Vu. They were open and serving lunch! We got some Hurricanes, which were ok, and ordered: Fried pickles, Onion rings, Roast Beef sandwich and the Shrimp Po-Boy. The Onion rings were good. The fried pickles were not. The Roast Beef sandwich was good. The Shrimp Po-Boy was... somewhere ok and good. Overall, it was typical of the places we had been to all week, so, filled us up. The Hurricanes were well made. I would go back at night for the bar scene and drinks next time I am around. Service was solid.

First of all, this review has nothing to do with the food, because we couldn’t get any. Found the menu online and fell in love with the menu so we set off, on foot from our hotel. No where does it say online, that you have to be 21 to enter. We had our two daughters with us, 10 and 15 years old. My husband sees the sign on the door that it’s 21 and over to enter. He asks the lady behind the bar if we can come in to eat, and she yells NO! At him. Totally uncalled for, FIX it to say you must be 21 to enter on your website! We don’t want your food with that attitude! Hope you don’t treat your children that way! You’re lucky I gave you two stars, no stars wasn’t available.

Was here with my 18yo daughter on a weekend getaway. Apparently, you have to be 21 to sit at a table and have dinner here. It's 9 pm, nobody else even in the building. My daughter wasn't drinking, doesn't drink, we just wanted some food as this place was suggested by some friends. I said, "What if she was 21 and didn't have an ID?" No explanation, no reason why exactly they have a 21 age limit, just told we had to leave. Even though in the state of Louisiana, it's perfectly legal for an 18yo to be in any establishment with alcohol and even drink alcohol if they're with their parents. Of all the bars and restaurants in NOLA, at least I now have one I know I'll definitely never go to.

This was my first time in New Orleans with friends so we hit famous spots and some unconventional spots...this was one of the unconventional spots. I ordered steak (medium well) and fries. Titos and pineapple juice and fried pickles. Steak was cooked exactly how I asked, shoestring fries were seasoned and great! Titos and pineapple was over priced and mostly juice . Fried pickles were not at all my favorite. Only ate one! Since we didn't care for the pickles they took them off the bill without us asking. We thought that was nice since we were still will to pay for them. Not too bad over all. Forgot to take pics of the place.

This bar/restaurant was literally steps away from the hotel my husband and I were staying at, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did because the food was very good. The bar-maid that worked the evening of October 3, 2019 was a sweetheart. She was so helpful, and assisted us in choosing what we should order from the menu. The choices were wonderful, because everything tasted so good. My husband ended up getting the catfish po' boy, while I ordered wings and seafood gumbo. Everything was so amazing, and thankfully they are open 24 hours, that we stopped by the following morning and grabbed breakfast. Deja Vu is definitely the place to visit while in New Orleans.

This is a cheap dive bar, as our server Matt hilariously remindered me of when I kept trying to order premium, specialty cocktails. They have great po boys, the best french fries I have ever had (seriously, they are worth stopping for), and a respectable selection of beers, local and standard favorites. Matt is a bit of a beer conisuer and was able to recommend beers from the menu that I really enjoyed. The happy hour specials are the best I have seen in this area. They have a hurricane on the menu which I don't recommend if you actually want a hurricane. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a cheap and strong drink.

BENJAMIN!!! This is a must visit place while you are in New Orleans! Our group of 18 was treated so kindly over the 3 days we spent in the city. We always had to start our morning with our daily dose of Benjamin and would try and get back to see him later in the afternoon before his shift ended! He arranged for all of us to have breakfast there one morning before our bar crawl and it was perfect! I can't give enough stars!!! The staff, the food, the atmosphere was AMAZING! Thank you Deja Vu! Until next time....Cheers!!!

I came to this place for breakfast and it seemed like we were bothering the person working. because we weren’t there to drink. The food was average compared to all the places we ate around town, but better then one place we ate at last night. At the end the server seemed happy we left or the tip I gave him. Let’s rewind; we weren’t greeted when we entered, he just pointed to where we should sit, and every time we said thank you and good morning our server didn’t reply. So I actually thought he was mute or deff. But while we were leaving he responded with Thanks have a great day.

  • Kisha F

I ordered the seafood gumbo. My boyfriend and our co-worker ordered the sausage po boy. They like theirs said it was really good. But my seafood gumbo was awful. It was so salty I couldn't finish it. And the shrimp in there was like the shrimp you buy in little cans they were so tiny. About the size of a pinto bean. If I go back I'll have to try something else. They do serve breakfast all day so maybe I should have ordered that.

Kitchy, cool dive bar with great food and good prices. The creole trio is a great dish to split to get a taste of New Orleans. Healthy portion size for sure. Employees were very nice and attentive. Both the wait staff and bar offered a kind word as we exited. Great first stop on my first trip to NOLA on recommendation from a local we meet on the plane.

We had breakfast at Deja Vu on a mid Sunday morning. I had biscuits and sausage gravy with a cup of coffee, others had eggs with hash and eggs with ham. The biscuits tasted homemade and the gravy was hot and delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked over easy but the hash was canned version which was ok. Service was very friendly, I would definitely go back. They have 3 slot machines so diner's must be 21 to enter the restaurant.

Great food and drinks. Benjamin was so awesome. I’d just say I feel like something fruity and he’d whip up a yummy drink. The Bloody Mary is incredible there as well. We tried a few different foods and they were all delicious. The atmosphere is awesome, we met so many cool people while hanging out there. Go see Benjamin he is 5 stars!

Pretty good stop for grub after an evening around town. Pretty straight forward bar food, with some New Orleans staples available. Great beer on tap! We did try the Gator appetizer here, not bad but not something I plan on ordering again. I was lucky to catch the steak special. Steak was cooked perfectly and there wasn't a ton of fat on it. Our server wasn't very friendly, or maybe I should just say didn't engage at all. Overall, good place to get a meal while visiting New Orleans.

We stayed in the French Quarter for four days and kept walking right past this bar. On our last night we stopped, and we wished we had tried it earlier. The bartender made great mixed drinks. Chicken fingers were average bar tenders, but the Shrimp Po-boy sandwich was the best my wife had while in New Orleans. Alcohol prices were typical French Quarter prices. The bartender was super nice and knowledgeable.

We found this restaurant right down the street from our hotel. My husband had the pot roast. He's very picky and loved it! He was sad we couldn't go back before we left to have more. I had the shrimp and wasn't disappointed. Loved the skinny fries. The atmosphere was casual and cozy. Employees were super nice. We will definitely come back when we're in NOLA again.

This restaurant has some really great comfort food!!! I highly recommend the deja vu omelette. That's my favorite dish but they also have some other really unique omelettes. The mini stuffed crab shells are also fantastic and not a very high price point in an appetizer for a unique dining experience. If you like comfort food and a unique spin on bar food, this is definitely the place to come.

Talk about being pleasantly surprised. I went here with my friends to see the last quarter of the game and grab a bite. I'll say I spent more time looking at my plate than the screen. First time having real Louisiana red beans and rice and it was great. Service was good even though everyone was into the game. I would definitely recommend this spot for a quick and tasty meal.

Our experience there was amazing. Right near the bourbon street, it was a good place to eat. We loved the chicken wings they had, and also the shrimp poboy. They also have full bar and carryout service available which was great to know!

Awesome staff. Gator Balz and crab cake are amazing.

Charming and unpretentious little bar. I had the Creole Trio and it was really good. Service was good and quick. I would definitely recommend.

We really liked this 24 hour resturant off Bourbon street. We had the bacon cheese burger and fries! The fries were especially tasty.

Didn't eat, but had drinks. Nice little laid back dive bar (which is a good thing). Will definitely be back for more beers More
