I feel really fortunate to have found Dr Matthew Clougher at Dental Pod in Hobart –the best dentist in town in my opinion! His high level of expertise was evident from my first visit. He genuinely cares so much about his patients which comes across immediately and is perfect for someone like me who gets a little anxious at the dentist. He’s done amazing work on my teeth and got so much done to improve them in just a couple of visits! I feel his level of expertise and thoroughness leads to solutions far beyond what others can offer. He identified and fixed something on the first visit that others had failed to find. Dr Matthew Clougher is a warm, calm and kind person and always takes time to explain things clearly, listens to questions and has a methodical approach to what needs doing that helps me feel confident that my teeth are receiving the best quality care. His team of assistants and admin staff are also very kind, knowledgeable and provide outstanding customer service.

I have not been to a dentist for over 50 years because of my fear of all things dental. That fear I lived with for all those years and even though I had horrendous pain at times, the fear of going to the dentist was greater., so I use to tough it out .It came to a time where I just had to go see a dentist and all that fear dissolved away after seeing Dr Dirk Jacobsen.at the Dental Pod and I was so amazed with such a professional , but caring nature and approach to my dental procedures and I did not feel an ounce of pain and I can now smile with confidence.because of the work that Dr Dirk has done . I have been liberated and set free from the fear that I carried most of my life and my teeth have never looked this good. . Thank you Dr Dirk and staff for all that you have done .I will be forever grateful.

I used to dread the Dentist but that's a thing of the past. Dental Pod offers me a natural, informative and affordable pathway for my ongoing Dental care. Dr Dirk has always explained clearly where my teeth are at and the procedure that is required on the day with my permission. Planning for the future is important and Dr Dirk has flagged some future work which I can prepare for with my health fund. The Dental assistants are an attentive fun team and I always find I am relaxed at the end of my appointment. I have referred my friends here because of my excellent experience and they're regulars now as well. I am eating better, my health is better without the amalgam fillings and Dr Dirk is just not allowed to retire.

Dr Matthew Clougher was excellent! I was squeezed in as a last minute Christmas debacle having sheered off part of my tooth on a nut the night before and now I'm feeling great again. With limited staff he whipped into action, fixed my tooth, and sent me on my way. Now being one of those people that is petrified of dentists I can not say enough good things. It certainly pays for skills and experience in the world of dentistry and I pass my kudos on to him directly. We are now as a family booked in based solely off that one experience! Don't be slow, book in and see the team.

Very happy to have located a holistic dentist. Dirk is friendly, considerate and thorough. He explains what is happening with your teeth and recommends without pressure any treatments necessary. Staff are friendly and helpful. 2 years later - Sadly Dirk has left, happily Matthew is fantastic. Went in with a toothache, left without one! Needed a root canal filling. Thought it would be another week or two for another appointment to start the whole procedure, but no, got onto it straight away. Done efficiently and pain free.

My husband needed some dental work while we were visiting family in Hobart from Canada. He was fortunate to get an appointment with Dr Mathew Clougher. The atmosphere in the clinic is relaxed and professional. The team works well together and provides a very caring and comfortable atmosphere for patients. We have returned to Canada now but he was very impressed with and grateful for the quality of care he received at the Dental Pod.

I have been to this dentist before so when I started private health care cover I decided to book my clean with these guys. Unfortunately it was NOT explained clearly to me when making an appointment that they give the complimentary clean that is part of my healthcare. So when leaving and being charged $57 to be told I have two occurring holes in my teeth and no clean - well I am very disappointed to say the least. :(

This is a very well designed site with excellent information about this new dental practice. The practice demonstrates a caring approach for clients and a concern for the environment well suited to Hobart's 'clean green' ethos. Amazing team with amazing support and so calming to be around. It starts from the moment you step in the door. I was in excruciating pain and petrified having not been to a Dentist in far to long. Dirk goes above and beyond. When I had a dental emergency he managed to fit me in that day within half an hour of hearing about it. He is gentle, thorough and very good at what he does. You can be sure he will do what's best for your teeth and your health.

Have I said this before? Fantastic dentist in Hobart with HEPA-UV units plugged into waiting room and surgery. Masks in waiting room. If only other Hobart dentists and doctors did the same.
