Desr Sir, I would like to complain in the strongest possible terms regarding treatment I received from.one of your staff members at the entrance door yesyetday afternoon. I was wearing my crash helmet and she refused me entry. I have never encountered her before at the opening door and while I appreciate that 'order followers' fill their role to the letter, this does very little to inspire confidence in the understanding of our shared resposibility and psychological stresses we are being forced to endure under this house arrest. She is taking her role far too seriously and has failed to show compassion and understanding. While I appreciste the care and concern dischem have taken to ensure the imprisonment in our homes runs as smoothly and as safely as possible, please understsnd that a crash helmet (and this is a brand new helmet) is far more effective than ANY of the cloth masks the population are being forced to wear. The helmet presents no danger to the community. In has been researched and discovered that the cloth masks interfere with oxygen uptake (to which I am.extremely sensitive) and the moisture creates a warm breeding ground for the virus to proliferate....with the result that I begin to hyperventilate! I am not expecting others to share my trauma of wearing that cloth mask, I.am just requesting understanding in my.case. I trust this complaint will receive your urgent attention in the light of our shared rrsponsibilies in these stressful times. kind regards, a concerned and extremely traumatised citizen.

This is a complaint about the service in the Shoe Department (Green Cross) shoes at Hillcrest Cnr. Dischem this morning at about 11.30 Wed 16th Aug. First of all there was not a staff member in the shoe aisle. I asked at the enquiries desk if there was an attendant available, four other staff members past me whilst I was waiting for the lady from the shoes, they could not assist me. One eventually came to assist me, whilst a kind gentleman (from the Body Building Dept) tried to assist me by going to the enquiries desk AGAIN to ask for the person to come to her post. However, whilst the lady trying to assist went to the back to look and see if there was stock of the shoe I wanted, the main lady arrived at the shoe department. She apologised for not being in attendance. Then she proceeded to look fed up and said there were no sizes in the shoes I wanted in black. Then I said could I please try the white for size. Anyway, she begrugedly went to the back for the white pair, so lo and behold came back with a black size 7. My complaint is that this lady was just too lazy to look for what I wanted. Unfortunately, I never got the lady's name. It was just her whole attitude of total unhelpfulness. I have been shopping at Hillcrest & Waterful Dischems for years, and the staff have been most pleasant and helpful. But this morning was the pits. This lady should be pleased that she is employed. I recently bought 2 Dischem Vouchers for my mom's birthday(30 Seprember)She wanted 2 laser facial treatments. The therapist at the salon assisted me on the 29th of September. My mom has tried several times to make an appointment. She fiscally went to Dischem to try and make an appointment for a facial. She complained and said that the salon was closed. I took the 2 vouchers (2 x R325 ; pensioner's rate) to Dischem and enquired about a possible appointment. The therapist was apparently in hospital and MIGHT be back by the end of November. When I requested a refund for my vouchers, so I could get my mom a voucher from elsewhere, they refused and said she should go to another branch 40km from where she lives or spend the voucher on something else. I will never buy another voucher or birthday gift from Dischem. I understand that vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash BUT if you cannot supply the service, you should refund the client.

Don't use DeliverD if you're in need of medication. I'm in Pretoria and my daughter is visiting in Durban. She came down with the flu so I quickly ordered something from Dischem's DeliverD. It was around 10am, 2 August. According to their website you pay a R35 delivery fee to have your package delivered within an hour. However, by 6pm my daughter informed me that they had not delivered yet. I phoned first thing the next morning, 3 August, and was told that the package is being processed and will be delivered within the next hour. By 5pm she still hasn't received it. SHE LIVES 4KM AWAY! When I phoned them at 5pm I was told that the package will be delivered the next day, 4 August. I obviously changed my order to collection and had someone pick it up for her after work. I was also told that I won't get a refund on my delivery fee even thought they didn't deliver. Pathetic service.

I dealt with a complete Incompetent pharmacist. Terrible service at the dispensary. Wasn’t in stock with chronic medicine when discharged from hospital. Of course I wanted to get my meds from Dischem for points and they are more affordable compared to other pharmacies, but will never come to their dispensary again. They had told me they don’t have any of the 3 out of 4 meds on my script, they only had synaleve. I asked them to please dispense the synaleve to me and I’ll get the rest at a different pharmacy. She scanned the script and gave me the scanned copy only for me to find out that I needed the original script for the rest of the meds and she made no note on the scanned copy.

Thank you to the Pharnacist who helped me to get my Simponi. (Apologies I didn't write your name down) . Due to a family emergency I've been in Durban since 7th June and didn't even think to pack my Simponi in my rush to get here. Ivette from Johannesburg, liaised with the Hillcrest branch to get my Simponi from the Durban depo and have it sent to where I'm staying. As I live in Johannesburg this involved a few parties within Dischem in order to do an emergency dispense of my Biologic for me. Thank you to you all. Great service and very much appreciated.

The nurse on duty at your clinic today is rude and unprofessional. My wife has been using the clinic for a number of years now and arrives today and gets told that she cannot be served without an appointment as they are fully booked. In the 15 minutes that my wife was there, there were no other customers. We have always been under the impression that it was only necessary to book on weekends. Regardless of that, you need to train your staff to be FRIENDLY and helpful. Not rude and abusive.

I went to pick up a prescription. One of the medications on my script the pharmacist said they hadn’t stocked in a long time but he would check. He came back 5 minutes later and said he’d organized for them to urgently transport some down from Joburg and I could fetch it in 2 days. I was so grateful that he went out of his way to do this for me without me having to worry/hassle about it. Wish I had gotten his name but he put the pharmacy in a good light and is the reason I will go back.

The staff are rude, last month I waited 20 minutes to pick up pre packed medication while 3 staff members completely ignored me.This month I got a reminder to order my chronic medication on the app only to go there and find out my script expired last month. The pharmacy assistant , Mr Venter just said it was not his problem and dismissed me without even an apology. Disgusting service delivery I will have to find a new pharmacy going forward, that cares about customer service.

My online Dis-Chem orders are fulfilled by the Hillcrest Branch. I always receive my parcels at a super fast rate. Yesterday, I placed an order in the morning and received it by mid-day!!! Exemplary services always! And the delivery partners/driver who often delivers to me ( Nomvuyo ) is the most pleasant and friendliest I have ever come across. Well done Dis-Chem Hillcrest!

I have stopped filling my per scriptions at this store, as it is extremely fustrating when the pharmacists at the dispensary are mostly not pharmacists and they send you back to the que repeatedly to wait for the one counter that has a pharmacist that can actually dispense the script....never experienced this at any other dispensary ever.

Worst experience ever! Customer service can't process a simple refund, i wonder why they say we must swipe our dischem cards when we shop if they cannot find slip using card i waited 30mins for them to find my slip when they finally got it, they told me they cannot exchange the item they don't have stock.... Poor service

My mother just came home after purchasing my vitamins and cosmetics at Dis-Chem only to realize that the vitamins had already been open and that there were 30 capsules instead of 60 in the container. This is very dishonest from Dis-Chem and I am strongly disappointed and disgusted.

Lovely service from Dis-Chem Hillcrest. A family member who gets their medication from Dis-Chem in Pietermaritzburg needed an emergency supply of their insulin while in Hilllcrest and Dis-Chem Hillcrest effortlessly assisted us. Thank you for the great service.

Phones dont get answered just hold for hours. Ordered script to be delivered, they said it would be delivered same day never received anything. You cant play with people's lives who are on chronic medication.
