I invite Dis-Chem Pavilion to please have a look into their staffing and making sure that each of their staff members represent their prestigious organization to the extent that it rightfully deserves. I do enjoy the shopping experience with you, but was shocked today as "Sisi" (Might be a false name as I had asked a colleague of hers for her name) as she refused to assist me by blatantly ignoring me at first after I had refered to her twice already (yes, she was aware of me trying to get her attention) and then when I had asked if she was deaf, told that she would not help me with my basic enquiry at all. This particular staff member has a very unapologetic, rude attitude, clearly no people skills, no pride in her work or concern for the consumers / customers impression. She should be reminded that many people in South Africa would be most greatful to be her substitute. I am not unreasonable, but I am entitled to a basic level of service when shopping with you and expect nothing less. Please look into this, feel free to contact me if there is anything you should require or need my assistance in this matter. I have reviewed this section with 1 star, (Hated It) purely because of her work ethic and now Dis-Chem as a whole. Any other day, I would happily revert to a 5 star.

I always use this dischem, it is well stocked and well run and I find the staff cheerful and friendly. I was in line today waiting to go in to the store and was unfortunate enough to witness a grown man throwing a tantrum at the store manager because he wasn't wearing a government regulation cloth facemask and as such the manager was loath to let him in. The man went so far as to phone the regional manager (or some such person ) and kept shoving his phone in the store manager's face, while he was attempting to deal with another customer. I was extremely impressed with how calm, respectful and proactive the store manager remained despite the other man's ill manners and blatant disregard for social distancing. As I have no other forum through which to commend the manager I am posting here.

I returned a R114.99 item 3 African ladies made me wait over half an hr for the cash refund, the one lady had the cash in her hand which she retrieved from the cashier, however she stood with the cashier for over 20 minutes and then brought it to me, the African manager was with her walked away and then walked back to the lady holding the money whilst standing next to the cashiers I asked her why it took so long to hand thevcash to me she relied the cashier only had coins, what a liar ! The whole process was stalled by them 2 just to delay my shopping experience. I have had still horrid service previously as well, I won't shop or use the dispensary ever again!!

The nurse was an absolute put off. She made every excuse not to attend to a simple dressing change, From: "i've got booked appointments" (which I totally understand as i didnt have an appointment), I reiterated thrice that I was more then willing to sit and wait the several hours she claimed to booked, too theres a lot of paper work for me to fill which again I stated was not a problem and last but certainly not least the consultation fee which again I stated was really not a problem at all. If she wasnt upto doing the dressing change all she had to say was sorry i cant assist you. Perhaps nursing isnt really for you dear!! Disappointing service.

For the past 15 minutes I have been phoning and phoning dischem, trying to speak to someone just to ask why our delivered medicine had a co-payment much higher than usual. One guy asked me to wait, never came back and eventually call just ended. Thereafter, just music, stop ...you think hallelujah someone's going to answer.. music starts again. AND THEN AGAIN CALL JUST ENDS. I gave first part of this review 1*. Have changed it to 5* because I am so IMPRESSED. Dischem read my complaint the same day written, and arranged/assisted me to resolve my problem the same day. Definitely deserve 5 stars!

My money's well-spent here, and why not?: a great variety of brands at different prices to choose from, a variety of gift options, a big range of Gluten-free items for me, hassle-free help with (reasonable) returns & exchanges, super help & advice from all the pharmacists, well-stocked, (and when stocks run out) super helpful staff & managers who go out of their way to ensure I always get the items I need = a most satisfactory place to shop. Not just the best pharmacy but overall the best Dischem branch in my opinion.

For months, there has been a critical shortage of mestinon 10mg, a critical drug at this dosage for some sufferers of myasthenia gravis. I wish to compliment and register my gratitude to the pharmacists who went beyond mere customer service to obtain a supply of this medicine to last my wife for another month. Many times I have been told those scary words: "not available" but at the Pavilion Dischem, the response was, "we'll find some". Thank you Don McKenzie

I've been waiting for 7 days now for my chronic medication to be delivered to me by Dis-Chem but in vain. I sent a prescription on the 22nd of December 2022 , and made phone calls. I was told to send my location and phone number. I waited nothing happened. I have called them more than 4 times but still nothing. I wonder why this is . I feel very much sick . I'm really not happy with Dis-Chem service.

I get more sound precautions and advice from the pharmacists here than any doctor, no disrespect to doctors, but when it comes to mixing things like morphine and different types of it for my father during his cancer, they warned me on things that was never pointed out by doctors that could save his life more than the chemo, thank you to the male Indian gentleman who helped!

Bought a little luxury water purifier a while ago. Cannot get the refill cartridges anywhere. And no one here is helpful with where I can get them. Was told to come back to receive them and when I came back they still didn’t have any. Just blatantly uninterested service. Will change my rating once I get some assistance with the cartridges. Thanks

Worst service ever. Stood with elderly mother in isle 6 for how long. Asked other staff to call someone, which they didn't. Eventually phoned the store from the isle 6 and they said they'd send someone... We left the store eventually... We will take our sale somewhere else. Commode & Shower chair = R2500 sale you lost due to bad customer service.

Neat store but some of the staff are untrained and very rude and unprofessional will not go back to shop there even if it was more convenient - to be more specific the Indian lady at self medication needs duties that does not involve her interacting with customers because she has no customer service at all and no knowledge on products

I did an ear peircing here and i got an infection its been 6weeks+ no healing its red and swollen ...after the piercing the earings were too tight couldn’t even clean them because of the pain but I waited till today I signed a studex form on that day so they know who i am Can i open a formal complaint and request for a refund

I like this Dischem cause it's on my way home from work in case I am in need of Medication.But my recent encounter with one of the staff when I was looking for Safeguard Sanitizer,was not pleasant.I did tell him though that I didn't like his response. I hope he will not treat other customers the way he did to me.

went into day was standing by the catrice make up and the black lady who was standing next to me was a worker in that section she was very rude to me and arrogant it is very disappointing that discem has such rude workers who are rude to their customers this is unexceptable sort your stuff out .

Always a pleasure shopping at Dischem pavilion ,very friendly and helpful workers, during the country shut down(looting) i had ordered my baby's diapers and formula online and manager did well helping us get our order even though things were so hetic Thank you

I was there yesterday and had silindile assist me in the make up department with revlon foundation. Her service was excellent and her patience was overwhelming. Definitely recommend this store to families and friends. She assisted me with my perfect shade.

Was super impressed with the pharmacist Jitesh (hope I got his name right) I had a tight chest and a cough (yes I wore a mask) he was very helpful and understanding, and knows his stuff really well, thanks to him I am breathing easier.

I waltzed in one fine eve and they REFUSED to buy my 43 month Asian child. I thought this was a diverse country. I am bitterly disappointed. You'll be hearing from my managers 3rd hand man very soon. Expect a fax.

The landline number doesn't work, just wastes my airtime and is dead quiet on the other side. Really urgently needed to find out about stock of a product. If the lines are down take off the number...

Don’t ever order a product from this store to collect! Worst experience ever! Waiting forever for them to try and locate a lip gloss I ordered yet it was available on the shelf …

I always buy my shoes here but discovered that if you need to get your prescription here that the dispensary stays open later and the queues are shorter than its competitor
