I had such an unfortunately poor experience at the store on my last visit. It has been my go too store for all my cosmetic needs for years now , since being assisted by the amazing manager of the cosmetics department some time ago. I do not live in the area but make the monthly trip to stock up , purely because of the great service I always receive. After having been there two weeks ago , they were out of stock on Catrice #40 foundation and I tried several other stores but could not find it. As a last resort , I called the store again to check if they had stock and again was assisted by an amazing young lady from the cosmetics department who informed me that they had 1 left in stock and she would keep it for me to collect. On my arrival , there was no assistant in the department and I approached the cashier who is stationed at the cosmetics and perfume department adjacent to the cosmetics. I greeted her, gave her my name and told her that I had called earlier and a bottle of Catrice was being kept aside for me . She muttered her response, as she walked away from me with the slowest uninterested motion dragging her feet as she walked ,in such a dismissive , rude an unprofessional manner. " I wouldn't know anything about that , as you can see I'm just the cashier here ". A minute later I was assisted by the lady I spoke to over the phone who gave me my bottle of Catrice. I often call the store to check for stock and have always been assisted from start to finish in the most efficient pleasant manner. This last visit has left such a bad taste in my mouth. I am a brand and store loyal shopper , customer service and experience is paramount to my shopping destination choices , with no regard to location. Unfortunately, I will no longer support the store and prefer to get myself better acquainted with the closer La Lucia Mall store.

I am very disappointed with Dischem Overpoort City. I ordered medication on for delivery on Monday. They promised to deliver for me on Tuesday. On Tuesday I could see that it is becoming late. At 15h00 I called to make a follow up. They said the delivery guy is out for deliveries and that I would get my medication. Another day went by without medication. Today on Wednesday I have been calling them since 09h00. It is now 13hh00. I asked the 1st lady who answered my call how long does it take for them to deliver. She said she doesn't know. She said she will put me through to the Pharmacist. I am still waiting for that lady to put me through. I couldn't call them to order if I could go there myself because I am at the same vicinity of Morningside, Musgrave. My main problem is that I am in pain. I can't walk. I am on both crutches. I wouldn't order medication if I didn't need it.

Not happy with this Pharmacy. My daughter came here for a month's supply of meds for my grandson. They claim that they dispensed 180 tablets (100 tablets per box) but only gave her 1 box. This is critical meds for my grandson and even my daughter explaning to them that she only received 1 box, ended up in a he says, she story. Ended getting only a few days supply and now have to contact Cape Town paediatrician to give a new script. What made it worse and left me with a bitter pill: - The manager saw me queing from the wrong side, made no comment, or pointed me in the right direction; and as I was about to be helped insisted that the attendant task whether the lady behind me came before me - insinuating that I jumped the queue. Very insulting to me as a customer and visitor to Durban. Not happy!!!

Ive been to Dischem Atrium on 2 successive days…and both experiences have left not much to be desired. I waited a half hour on the first visit just to get an Andolex C oral mouth wash just because Dischem sees fit to have 1 Assistant in a busy OTC counter. 2nd experience I am an asthmatic and needed 1 ampoule of Duolin for my nebulizer…The assistant shot me down without using any discretion or calling the pharmacist in charge to assist or attend to my plea. She acted as though I had asked for Pethadine or some other schedule 7 drug…Discretion Dischem, is important in a health service industry…If only Sparkport was within my area that would be my 1st choice …Service is unmatchable…I will have to consider diverting my Loyalties to some other Pharmacy even if I have to spend extra on my needs…

Sometimes stuff are online only, so you have to do a click and collect or delivery. I prefer collection. Some branches won't have stock, but this one would. However, this branch takes 7-10 days to do your order. 3 times I've experienced this. It's like they work extra slow or don't at all. Last time I looked at the order book to sign off, the order was done on the day but only got the notification to pick up 1 week later. And they'll never answer the phone, and will lie to the main office, and write up that they've called you if they haven't got stock but they don't.

I have been impressed with both the friendly & accommodating service provided by the staff & Management. The manager Chris & dispensary staff especially Desiree are extremely helpful. Being on Chronic Medication it is essential that I receive my medication on time & have found their delivery service both fast & professional, always aware of the urgency, therefore ensuring that I get my requested meds on time. I previously dealt with the Westville Pavilion branch & have found the service from both these branches amazing. Thank you for the great service.

A great pharmacy with innumerable options for medications, vitamins, toiletries, household cleaning items, detergents, sugar and gluten free biscuits options, perfumes, toiletries and more at discounted prices. The vitality discounts refunded to cardholders and discovery vitality members are a helpful saving at month end. The clinic and beauty facilites are wonderful. The pharmacists at the dispensary ard both knowledgeable and efficient with very few lengthy queues. A worthwhile shopping spot.

I'm so pleased with the service I received from the lovely ladies at the clinic this morning. My sister and I booked a pap smear and these ladies were so accomadating friendly n pleasant they made me feel so comfortable. It is rarely u find such amazing service in this country these ladies definitely deserve all the recognition and praise. Awesome job and thank u for going the extra mile The pharmacist can learn a thing or 2 from these awesome ladies.

Bought "Blade Shave Cream" Dischem Product for the first time, The Product was like water. The item was R 60.00, I tried changing at the Store & they refused too, claiming it was used. Yes , Obviously it was used as I tried it. Customer Service is Pathetic. Now I am forced to give them a Star , in order to send my review. Would really like someone to reply if they cared about they customers

I called your Dispensary 3 times for my Chronic meds which were due but the the lady kept saying that they will call me back . I waited for a whole week and never received a call till today. I was so disappointed with the service and eventually called Sparksports Pharmacy and my meds were delivered the same day. I hope Management are aware of how slack your staff are .

A pharmacy that offers a lot more than just medicines. In house nursing staff now offer a full range of services. Discovery Health checks and Aids testing are offered. Great selection of anything from cereals to wall hooks is to be found in Dischem. Lots of Dischem stores in Durban in accessible shopping malls ... not so much in the Western Cape unfortunately.

They have humanity. Wow. They know they are dealing with people. They are very helpful and loving. I wish all the shop staffs we go to every day could be like Dischem(overport)employees. Service at dispensary is shocking. there were 4 pharmacists and 5 assistants on duty but only 1 pharmacist serving and they was a queue of people waiting to be served. I handed in my script and asked for a repeat of my other meds only to find when I got home my repeat was NOT done. I won't rush back to that branch!!!!

Bought an electric hot water bottle, get home only to find out the hot water bottle has 1) already been used (UNHYGENIC) 2) is broken So basically, this company put a second hand, item back onto the shelves to sell to another customer... Are you serious???/

This Dis-chem is a decent size, and had everything thing you'll usually find in it... toiletries, basic medical supplies, medicine, makeup and health boosters (supplements, some food and natural alternatives). If you come here you are bound to spend money.

Pathetic customer service.. waiting on a patients COVIDS medication to be delivered for a whole day. Cannot get ahold of any dispenser to ascertain where the medication is!!! Should the patient die before medication is delivered???

Went to Dischem and whilst busy with purchases forgot my Phone behind . The cashier didn't even tell me I left it instead took it and kept it away and the store was empty and service is Zero and they not cheap hey ?

Poor service I've ever seen,bought online on the 6th,got 1 item out of 6,after sending me from pillar to post when I called them,I was told there's no stock and on the 20th they refunded me. Pathetic service

The service at the pharmacy is truly shocking. I went during my lunch break to have a prescription fulfilled and spent over an hour waiting for the lethargic assistant to do it.

Very frustrating to get hold of via the phone. Always high call volumes. You then leave a message and no one returns your call, or voice box full, or you get cut off.
