Matthew was very patient and supportive throughout the design process and went to no end to find the perfect diamonds for us. He took the time to understand every detail of what we were imagining and used many renderings and wax molds to play with different ideas and refine the design. We had many meetings, and were able to participate at every single stage of the design process. The ring is so much more meaningful to us having guided its design from the beginning. Matthew and his team take absolute pride in their jewelry and want everyone to see it sparkling and clean as much as you do. As such, whenever we’re on Sparks Street, we stop by for a visit and cleaning free of charge. He walked me through the entire process of designing, tweaking, and having the perfect ring made. He is clearly incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his work and turned my amateur descriptions and our discussions into a STUNNING final piece of artwork. I was also very appreciative that he never tried to "upsell" the project - he was always practical about discussing the pros and cons of different options and features, respected my budget, and was honest and easy to work with throughout. The process and the product were perfect, and Dixon Jewellers will be my go-to and first recommendation for any jewelry needs in the City.

I wanted a wedding band to wear simultaneously with my Nana's 1950s engagement ring as a set. I had had other jewelers tell me that there's no way to make the gold of a new ring match the tone of the engagement ring (e-ring is yellow gold with a whiteish undertone), that if I had my engagement ring re-pronged it wouldn't look the same as before, and that a new ring and my engagement ring couldn't look like a true matching set. Matthew and his team, though, made everything happen. My engagement ring looks like new (same old ring but shinier and sparklier), and they custom-made a wedding band that compliments it perfectly but adds a bit of my own style to the set. The whole experience was amazing, everything was within my budget and I'm incredibly happy with both my rings. Thank you guys so much!

Oh wow. That is what I said to myself when I was first shown my repaired ring.As you can see I was very impressed with the quality of the work. My wife purchased the ring for me many years ago from Cambodia, it was very special to me and unfortunately I cracked it. I wasn't sure where to bring it. After reviewing a few places online I came across Dixon Jewellers. They had very good reviews so I decided to bring it to them. They said they could do it but they might not be able to still have the ring spin in the center. I said please proceed and do the best you can. They repaired it and to my delight were able to still have it spin for me. It didn't take very long for them to repair it and the price was good. Thanks again Dixon for the great work

My wedding rings were restyled by Dixon Jewellers many years ago and I was offered a free cleaning and polishing, they look stunning, as pretty as the day I got them. A top notch jeweller. I decided to purchase my engagement ring from Dixon Jewellers as they were recommended to me through family. Being located outside of Canada currently it was very special to me that my bride received a ring that had a Canadian diamond and a Canadian made ring. As most people do, I did some shopping around to different jewellers in the city looking for the best place to make a custom engagement ring. It was quick getting a consultation to discuss my ideas for the ring and it was easy setting a budget we could work with. They do almost everything in house so they can quickly show you renderings of what your ring will look like and once you've settled all the details it's only another few weeks until you get the ring. Super professional staff, great prices, and amazing quality. Their ability to get you what you want, in a timely manner, and within budget is unmatched. Best custom jewelry store in Ottawa and will 100% be going back for all future pieces.

We had a custom engagement ring made by the Dixon Jewellers team. Staff helped us find a one of a kind stone (a lavender sapphire that shows slight color change from purple-blue to denim blue in the sun) and helped me narrow down what I liked in several rings to make a ring that has a retro-chic classy and unique look. The ring was priced lower we had expected. After we approved our digital renderings, the order was completed faster than expected. We experienced good quality service (professional, genuinely enthusiastic, welcoming). We plan on going there again with "scrap" gold to have more custom jewelry made in the future.

The first face I saw when I went into the store was Brette. She is incredible. Her kindness and interest really comes across and she is a pleasure to interact with. I really think she is a large reason why I wanted to go with Dixon - that, and the fact that the reviews were great overall. When I met with Matthew to go over the details he was open and knowledgeable in answering all my questions. I told him the budget and he was able to create exactly what I wanted within that budget. I am extremely pleased with how it all turned out! I would highly recommend Dixon for their professionalism and outstanding work.

I had a pair of custom earrings made for my wife to replace a pair that she had misplaced one half of. From start to finish, the entire process could not have been simpler and transparent with regards to my order. Matthew and the rest of the staff were incredibly pleasant to deal with. The customer service is top notch. The earrings they recreated are perfect and look almost identical to the original set. My wife thought that I had tracked down a pair of her original earrings; that's how close they match. I would absolutely visit again and use Dixon for any custom jewellery!

I had a custom engagement ring made for my fiance and was very satisfied with the level of service and workmanship. Matthew was extremely helpful taking us through the process of selecting diamonds and deciding on the design that was right for us. The shop provided CAD renderings of multiple different design options and made a few iterations of wax models that allowed us to see what the final product would look like. My old wedding set was worn and tired, to the point where I was running the risk of losing some stones. I opted for a complete redesign and having never gone through the process before, I didn't know what to expect. I felt Matt was very patient with my numerous questions throughout the entire process. Dixon jewellers did an AMAZING job saving my engagement ring. It needed to be resized 4 sizes smaller but due to the intricate design of the band multiple jewelers told me it either wasn't possible/I should buy a new ring/remake the band at an outrageous price. Dixon jewellers re-custom made my ring for me replicating it to a T!! I could never even tell it was remade, it is identical! I could not be more thrilled. And the cost was extremely fair as well! I would highly recommend their craftsmanship!

I had an engagement ring designed by Matt and his staff and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Matt was incredibly friendly and excited to talk about the history of the business and their process. I never felt rushed, and he actively listened to what I was looking for. Excellent service! Had very limited knowledge of diamonds & Matthew went above and beyond to help me find the perfect engagement ring. At the time there was not a lot of selection on the market for pear shaped diamonds, however he was very professional and did not try to push the first few we looked at. He kept on searching until we found one that I had liked & manufactured the ring under a tight deadline. Absolutely deserves 5/5.

I recently had a pair of diamond earrings re-set in yellow gold, and a heirloom pin repaired. Both turned out perfectly and were reasonably priced. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and helpful, I'm very pleased with my experience. Will definitely be back! A suggestion for others driving to Dixon: Park under the World Exchange Plaza, it is only a block away and well priced for a quick trip. I think I paid $2.50.

EXCELLENT service! I have been trying to find somewhere to have my 38 year old wedding set repaired. It had to be somewhere that would do the repairs in house, and in one day. I was going to be in Ottawa and my son recommended Dixon's, as it's close to his place of employment. Great service! The lady who works there is super nice and friendly! I needed my ring tightened because the center stone was loose, but when I took it to Howard's they said they would have to melt it and rebuild it at a cost of $600. The ring was less than 6 months old I had just hit my hand on something. But at Dixon's they tightened it and I haven't had any problems. They also do custom designs! :)

My husband ordered custom earrings based on photos from a long lost pair. What absolutely stunning work! Brought tears to my eyes to see them. I have also had a ring resize, and was extremely happy with the work. Employees are also bright, happy, and incredibly helpful. A wonderful experience from start to finish. I’ve used Dixon for several repairs and sizings over the years and always quality work at a very good price. Most recently had a curb chain fixed (broken link) and was less than half the price of other stores and as usual amazing work, you can’t see where the break was. I also know people who have had custom engagement rings made by them and again Dixon did an amazing job.

Purchased a mens wedding band here, and went back to get it resized ~6 months later. Despite being a fairly low spending customer I was treated extremely well at all times.
