(if I could give half-stars I would have rated this business 4.5 but I thought 4 was too low so I rounded up) TL;DR - I was very hesitant to purchase a used car and after reading negative reviews almost backed out of the sale, willingly losing $500 deposit. However, Downsview Auto provided great service, reassurance and warranty service. I'm happy with my 2010 Mazda 3 and would go back in the future. I have no issue recommending them. I purchased a 2010 Mazda 3 in October of 2020. First a few things: 1) I was very hesitant to buy a used car because I've seen my family go through a lot of drama with used cars when I was growing up 2) The common generalisation of the used car salesman is not all that positive so that further contributed to my hesitation 3) get as much information as you can before paying or signing anything. I failed in that regard (more on this later) I responded to an ad for the vehicle on Auto Trader. Most of my communications with Downsview auto was through Rachel(?) at the front desk Who was always pleasant to speak to. I had to set up an appointment to see the car due to new COVID rules (I'm good with that of course) Once there I was put in touch with Eren how took me to the vehicle and allowed me to check it out; go inside, lift the hood, start the engine etc. I was not allowed to take the car for a test-drive. It was explained that the cars are not fully inspected and cannot be assumed road worthy and therefore can't be driven. This, in my admittedly limited experience, did seem odd to me but after looking around I found that the practice wasn't all that unusual. At this point I would recommend people negotiate having the car towed to a trusted mechanic (at your expense of course) or maybe hire an on-the-spot inspection service to check the car out. This is where things can turn, so TAKE YOUR TIME, weigh your options and get good advice before taking your next step. I was going to go the route of an inspection service but decided not to, and instead purchased an "enhanced package" (the 3 packages are pictured) which includes 36 days of bumper to bumper coverage if anything goes wrong. Again, this option involves some risk as it places a lot of trust on Downsview auto alone, if you did not get the car inspected yourself. I put $500 down (non-refundable deposit) and signed the bill of sale. -- i previously mentioned getting more information, and my failure to do so-- AFTER signing the bill of sale, I stumbled upon the negative reviews, some of them you can see here. Needless to say I was pretty discouraged. So much so, I did not want to go forward and called Downsview Auto. I spoke with Rachel who heard my concerns and forwarded me to Eren. He went on to reassure me that I would be covered with the enhanced package warranty and it would be fine. Truthfully, I didnt have a ton of recourse because I had already signed the bill of sale. Note : THOROUGHLY read contracts before you sign This is where things were most impressive: I feel that Eren and company took things to heart. I felt that my concerns were taken seriously. While they were bringing the car up to safety, I was constantly updated with progress and concerns found with the car that they were resolving. Eren himself was repeatedly test driving the car, spotting issues, and having them resolved BEFORE I picked the car up and took it off the lot. He mentioned spotting issues with the muffler, which was fixed, the sidebar and suspensions which were also fixed among other things. I appreciated the new winter tires installed as well (heading into the winter season). I subsequently took the car to another mechanic to do an overall check and inspection of the work done on the car. There were no issues and they confirmed all the work that Eren mentioned was done. They only suggested getting a new air filter, which they would do for I think it was $10 or something but I took it to Eren and got it replaced even though it is not covered by the warranty. Later issues were covered and taken care of within the warranty. Thumbs up!!
In Nov'22 our 08 Mazda 3 was rear-ended and we thought it would be an easy fix as it required a new bumper and rear corner body work. Unfortunately, it was written off by CAA. Could not get a callback from CAA til late Jan'23 for final payout amount and cheque in Feb. Not a fan of CAA's poor communication and long delays. Spoke with Eran at Downsview Auto and appreciated his honesty about the pandemic auto shortages and higher than normal used car pricing. Was surprised to hear about the long delays of a year or more for new car purchases. These buyers are then shopping at Downsview Auto to drive a used car temporarily. At Downsview Auto, we purchased a 2010 Mazda 3 (+210k kms) with their $599 Package which includes a safety cert, new brake pads, oil change, rust proofing touch-up, tires (if required) and any CEL issues that require to be fixed. This car had a check engine light and required a TCM control module replacement. Eran had called me and said the mechanic found more issues with the car: the muffler was missing as it was a straight pipe, and it was lowered with coilovers. A new muffler was installed as it would not pass safety without one. However, I said I liked the lowered sporty look and said to keep the coilovers as is. Bad mistake! After driving on it for a month, the car would bottom out if you hit a pothole or a speed bump. These were probably $350 Ebay coilovers! I called Eran and he took care of me! He said he will order a set of shocks/springs for all four corners and let me know once they have arrived. Dropped off the car for 1.5 weeks and was called when the car was ready. I'm very grateful for the extra service from Eran, as he said he was doing this as a goodwill gesture as I had already signed and took delivery of the vehicle. And I was past the 36 day warranty period. Presently, the car rides quiet and smooth over our bumpy GTA roads and on the highway with the new suspension. A nice finishing touch that the 4-inch Stainless Steel muffler tip was kept! The A/C blows cold during these hot summer days, which was something we could not have tested back in February. Glad this car came with an aftermarket Rosen head unit with 7-inch LCD touch display. We just added a rear 720p backup cam. Lastly, I have experience purchasing used cars. I understand that buying a used car with high mileage and is 10+ years old has risks. I didn't expect to pay $5k and believe it will drive almost like new. Yes there are door dents and spots of rust. However, I was reassured that it had a clean carfax and detailed service history. Plus its made in Japan. We had a very positive experience dealing with Eran of Downsview Auto. Thank you very much Eran for going the extra mile!
TL;DR: Lesson learned -- NEVER EVER buy a car without a PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION from YOUR mechanic. It's usually less than $200 and could save you THOUSANDS. * * * A very average used car buying experience, with a little extra disappointment. Bought the "Enhanced" package, which includes bumper-to-bumper repairs included alongside the safety. Here are the things that disappointed me: *The safety and repairs took 2 weeks *The A/C was 100% dead in the way home *Headlights were not buffed, as promised by Eran (see pics) *Tried to send me away without a spare + jack *Less than 1/4 tank gas upon pick-up *The single key fob provided had 100% dead battery *Horn alarm goes off CONSTANTLY *The new windshield they installed was FILTHY on the inside *After noticing a lot of road noise >60kph, and shaky steering wheel at highway speeds, I suspected the car needed an alignment, and this was confirmed by my local mechanic. I'm sure they'll respond, saying that I should just bring it in and they'll make all of this right, but I'm a busy person from out of town. Was REALLY counting on them taking care of things the first time. On top of all this, Eran seemed in a big hurry to get my cheque and push me out the door. Upon pick-up, he was ready to take my cheque of about 6 months salary without even offering to let me inspect it or test drive the car. A true sign of poor salesmanship. EDIT: 6 June 2023: My mechanic (who does not sell tires) has confirmed that three of the tires sold with this car should never have passed safety. EDIT: 15 November 2023: On separate occasions, I've had to replace the front wheel bearings, all four of the brake calipers, and the tranny pan. Over $3k in repairs. Don't give money to these criminals. RESPONSE TO REPLY: Eran, the problem with salesmen like you, is dishonesty. You sell beat up as-is cars and expect customers to be gullible enough to think that your shop will do a reasonable job repairing them. Well, you got me there. Shame on me for trusting your word. Yes, of course all cars require maintenance. This ain't my first rodeo, buddy. Is over $3k in 9 months reasonable for a car with barely over 100k on it? Of course not. It's proof that you deal in garbage rust buckets. Fine, ignore the calipers, bearings and tranny pan. What kind if a place sends you off with only 1/4 tank of gas? Or without a spare and jack? Or with only 1 key, with a dead fob battery? Or with very out-of-alignment wheels? Or with a windshield that's FILTHY inside? Or without offering a test drive? Slimy, dishonest, disreputable Downsview. That's who.
Unfortunately this review is not good. The experience of buying my Mazda 3 was not pleasant. The car was not ready when they said it would be. I was from out of town and waited for 7 days when I was informed that it was ready for pickup. My daughter-in-law gave me a ride in from Cambridge to pick it up. Expecting Togo in and complete the paperwork we were told the car was getting detailed. 2 hours later at 430 I took it for a test drive and it appeared fine. Before I left l was informed that there was only one key and no fob. A used fob was given to me and the salesman attempted to program it to no success. I was told to go to a dealership to get it programmed. The salesman noticed that the front drivers side tire appeared low. An attempt to inflate it was made then I was told that I would be given 2 new tires for the front but I needed to go to their garage which was at a different location 10 minutes away. There was a check engine light on that I was told would go off, that two sensors had been replaced and it took time for the computer to adjust. Given that it was after 5 on a Friday and I had driven 2 hours to pick up the car. I wanted to go home. After the trip to get tires changed and to fill up with gas as the tank was on empty, it was after nine when we got back to Cambridge and the nightmare does not end there. I know the car is 10 years old. Coming from a dealer that has a good reputation things should have been looked after better. Since I have had the car for 6 months, the 3rd day I had it it did not start, replaced the battery, had to have tires rebalanced and found out that there was a bent rim, check engine light still on after 2 weeks had it checked EVAPORATE purge valve solenoid, replaced. Then the front end rotors needed to be turned, the shifter now slips out of Drive into the standard gears and won’t stay in the drive gear. Time will only tell how much more I will have to deal with. So far it has been at least $159 every month I have had the car. Oh yeah, the warranty is so limited that it is not worth the money. Take caution in using this dealership.
Sometimes the only way you can really judge a place is by having experiences at others. I’m extremely thorough.. did my homework before shopping and knew exactly what brand, mileage, condition and budget I wanted to work with. Had I gone straight to this place, I would have owned my car two weeks earlier and avoided the typical salesman attitude and dishonesty. I don’t like putting a place down while praising another but because it had a direct impact on my decision to purchase and will hopefully benefit anyone who’s looking to buy a car, I’ll share it. While reviewing the price of a car that I wanted at “Mazda of Toronto”, the salesperson brought over a manager, who for one, didn’t bother to introduce himself, and simply looked at me and said verbatim, ‘You have other places you want to check out right? Go ahead, you won’t find any better for this price’. Needless to say, the conversation only went downhill from there but it made me appreciate Downsview Auto that much more. I bought the exact same car aside from the color and it ended up being $500.00 cheaper – not to mention the additional services they provided. As for their customer service, you won’t be disappointed – ask to be shown around by Vince and have Eran review everything with you. They are so busy but make it a point to be pleasant and be of assistance. Simply put, they respect their customers. I think I’m on a roll here so adding some food for thought for those still reading: (a) this dealership has a niche market – they specialize in Mazda 3s and therefore have a larger inventory than anyone else (b) they have such a high turnover that they don’t have time to put an unfair markup on the price and waste time negotiating (c) no false promises made – I’ve gotten everything I’ve been told I was getting and then some. If anything, they over-delivered. I’m very happy to say the least and probably took over 20 of Eran’s business cards to share it with anyone I know looking to buy. Thanks again!
I Purchased a 2010 mazda 3 from downsview from vincent. He was super nice and patient and answered any of my questions that i had. He was busy and had to jump between helping multiple people but i didnt mind as it gave me time to look over the vehicle. The buying process was super easy and convenient. I ended up getting the premium package and the engine and transmission warranty as i didnt want to have to deal with issues out of my own pocket. From the day i purchased the vehicle it took about 16-20 (not sure exactly) days for it to be safetied and in my hands. I was getting a little impatient so i called them and Eran called me back a couple hours later, he explained everything and was very upfront with me about what they were doing and fixing the last issue but needed someone else to come fix it. I was happy to hear that they did such a through job looking over everything. Now why did i give a 4 star out of 5, well I was a little disappointed to see some of the cars had a bit of damage on them when viewing in person that was not shown in the photos. I understand why they would do this but most used car places show the damages so you know what you are getting into before arriving. The small damage my car had was fixed as i had asked for the panel to be replaced if i was going to purchase it. Vincent immediately said they would do that. After receiving my car i noticed the brakes squeaked a bit, i went to the service site and although it took 2 weeks for my appointment (it was low priority as it was still drivable) they fixed it same day i dropped the car off! Im glad to have purchased from Downsview. Please dont let all these reviews taint the good work these guys are doing. Remember you are buying a used car and it wont be perfect there will be issues but Eran and Vincent helped me with the issues that i had in a fast and timely manner!
DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR HERE. Went to this dealership to purchase a black 2010 Mazda Hatchback I was told when I buy the warranty package they would safety the car and anything that’s wrong they will fix. Left it with them for a week and they called saying it was ready. Keep in mind you’re not allowed to test drive before putting deposit as cars are not safety which I found odd however I trusted they knew what they were doing. Picked up the car on Saturday August 8th and at 100km on the highway the car started shaking. Took it straight to my mechanic where he then explained that the car should not have passed safety and matter of fact shouldn’t be able to go on the road at all as it has structural damage, damaged parts, transmission oil pan was completely rusted it could break easily and many other issues that I have proof of. Keep in mind the dealership did not update the car fax report stating it had structural damages. They claimed to know nothing which means they are not actually taking these cars to get safety they are just having a mechanic write the safety and paint over any issues under the car because any good mechanic who checked that car would see ALL the issues and not pass safety for it. Anyways we demanded our refund which they ended up giving ONLY because they were willing to sell the car in the same condition to another customer who wanted it which I’m sure they will tell them they car is safety certified and everything is good on it. They were trying to tell me pick another car because they knew fixing the car itself would cost them more than the worth of it so they beat around the bush until someone else wanted it then they decided to give us our refund. They do not care about customers safety and products they sell. Thoroughly disgusted by this situation
If you want trash on four wheels....with50$ cheap tires, wheels and $50 brakes.....go for it..otherwise if you are blessed you should be good with walking/ running instead of getting a car from this super cheap dealership. The cars are junk....please stop fooling people and rename your dealership to auto junkyard. I bought a car from you and within less than an year and less than 5K mileage - I had to replace wheels, brakes, windshield wipers....Its junk....please feel to schedule a free pickup as I have to pay to even junk it.! Buyers: please see response from the business owner so you know what sort of person you will be dealing with. I bought the vehicle seven months back in august 2022, paid $8500 (he is himself mentioning the amount should have been $5000 - don’t buy even for that amount) no one cares about wear and tear as they are part of buying an old vehicle but if you have to take the vehicle to mechanic every week - with negative, rude and disrespectful support from dealership - a bad review is well deserved! And mr/ms big mouth + small mind I will not stoop down to your level of name calling after giving a horrible service. I’m glad you are showing your true colors on Google to give taste of doing business with you. Better start counting your blessings, before someone like you hits you with a court case and you can use your naming skills to save your junkyard! I wasted enough time and this review is for people, glad you responded just the way you are! If you think you can bully me into deleting this by using mean comments, then be my guest! And be a guest of destroying your own reputation if any is still left!
I wanted to wait a little bit of time before leaving my review. I wanted to see how my car would hold up. Here is my honest review after dealing with Downsview Auto. First off - I enjoyed my buying experience. The guys were great and I have no complaints with the sales portion. As for the car.. it has been pretty good. I haven't ran into any major issues and the one issue that I had was resolved by the Downsview warranty which was great. I purchased the premium package and would not recommend this. The tires are incredibly cheap and the brake pads squeel whenever I come to a stop. I have also had multiple air leaks from 2 of the tires. During my warranty repair I mentioned this and they said that they would reseal the tires but it hasn't helped with the leaks. I would also caution with how tight the lug nuts are fastened onto the vehicle. This was slightly alarming as a breaker bar with an extension couldn't loosen the lug nuts off. The only other complaint I have is with the sole key I was given. I bought a new casing for it because it was handed to me with tape holding it together. I wish they went the extra mile and provided me with a decent key. ... But! They did go the extra mile when I mentioned that the lights were a little faded so they buffed them out which was nice. All in all - it was an alright buying experience. I would buy from them again but would only buy the base level certification package and get my own tires/brake pads. They did honour their warranty and were pleasant to deal with on a personal level.
Bought my Mazda3 from this place with a Premium Package. It was a pretty good offer, Safety and Certification, new sets of tires, new brakes all around, Rust proofing, and it also includes 36days bumper to bumper warranty. But quite a few unexpected issues. First of all, the car was not even cleaned and detailed properly when it was released - in my opinion it was a bit filthy. New brake rotors and pads were indeed installed, but the calipers were not even cleaned before placing the pads - not even a drop of lubrication. By the time i got home, front passenger brakes were making a very loud squeaking noise. When I checked to find what's wrong - the brake pads were touching the rotors and does not spring back to position - hence calipers were not cleaned. Pretty sure it was not even drive tested after the installation. Then I called to schedule for service (after booking an online appointment), another issue, they only accept service on weekdays. That's totally bonkers, I'm from scarborough and works 10-12hrs a day....that means I need to take a day off from work just to drop the car and another day off to pick it up....or pick it up at night after work. By the way, the shop is open during the weekends, means they can and will sell their inventory, but they wont accept your purchased vehicle for service. That means at least 10days less from your 36day warranty. SMART!!!
To start with, buying experience is good but the day i got the delivery the car was vibrating right after that took my car with them told that there was a problem in bearings which they " changed it " got the delivery right after same problem and now the car is vibrating even more then i was told by their service mechanic that i need to change the tires which might be an issue. I've changed the tires and same vibrating problem occurred again i contacted to service department ask to do something about my car and now its too late to get my car fixed by them as i've passed my warranty period so they won't be able to do anything as i have all the proof that i've asked before the warranty period ends that they said they'll be able to access the vehicle. How can a vibrating car is safe to drive ? and they issued me safety certificate from ministry. I went to different mechanic and told the problem was in axel shaft changed so i have to spent money to fix that faulty car, right after a week i had a problem in car of transmission failure now i'm down some other expenses on that because they didn’t do any checking before handing over car to me. In my opinion do not buy car from them as they are fraud. And if you do so get your mechanic along with you to inspect the car before you get your delivery.
This was my first car purchase, and i did come here because of the decent reviews, i purchased a 2010 mazda 3 with 90,000 km, because the cars are 10 years old they are not new but i do believe i made a good choice by going to downsview auto, within a few days i had some issues with the car, i was pretty worried but they addressed and fixed my concerns right away, vince called me and gave me directions on what to do, two days later my car was back and everything i was concerned about was addressed. it also comes with a 5 year power train warranty which is good as long as the oil is changed every 5000 km or 10 000 i cant remember. These guys are busy but they do put in the work on these cars. I gave 4 stars only because the cars are not new but i did receive great service for a used car so i changed it to 5 stars, This is the only review ive ever done because buying a car is a big deal and scamners are everywhere. I hope my review will help somone who is on the fence about where to go for a used vehicle. These guys really helped give my car everything it needed for its new home..... thank you guys
To all those looking to purchase a used vehicle check out Downsview Auto. Even if you weren't interested in a Mazda 3, you will be once you take a visit. My first experience with this dealership was 1 year ago when I was just browsing, about a month ago I went back and found the perfect car for my lifestyle with the help of Vincent and Eran. The incentives being offered are great, I got brand new brakes, 36 days all inclusive warranty as well as an additional 3 year warranty plus Eran threw in a bluetooth FM transmitter. From the date of purchase I received my car in a week, then I noticed a scratch on my windshield, which was promptly replaced with a brand new windshield. Then I had it inspected by my mechanic and realized the drive shaft and actuator needed repairs. That too was repaired within 24 hours. Chelsea is always at the front desk and she is great with answering your questions and helping you arrange any assistance you need. I can honestly say this the most trustworthy dealership I've been to and has great customer service. Thank you Downsview Auto for all your service.
Was looking for a affordable car with low mileage. I came to this dealership and found a 2011 Mazda 3 in Baby Blue with 103000 Kilometres on the car. Vincent helped me out and answered all my questions and concerns. I was able to pick up the car within 5 days after it getting its Safety and other little things that was needed. I received a work order on everything that was done on the car. They also put new windshield wipers and cleaned the car just prior to delivery of it. The process was smooth. Easy going. And professional. The car has currently drove 3600 kilometres since its purchase and drives good (not perfect but good for a almost 11 year old car) and gets decent gas mileage. Overall it was a good decent experience all together and would recommend checking them out if your looking for a car between the $3000 and $6000 range (varies on year/mileage etc) specializing in Mazda 3s with a few other makes and models here and there. Talk to Vincent. He will help you every step of the way. Update. 157000+ kilometers on the car and it's still as good as the day I picked it up.
I am writing this review solely from the owner's responses to customer complaints from Yelp and Google Reviews. An important facet to a good business is how they handle emotional and irrational customers. If the owner needs to face these complaints by going on a furious personal tangent coupled with poor English and grammar errors, then I am already put off with buying a car from this company. Professionalism and public relations are important, too. This is probably a dealership suitable to those who have experience with working on vehicles and don't mind diving into repairs. Not for new people like me who wouldn't know better. However, reading these responses can be very entertaining. I highly recommend it! 23/06/20 Edit: I ended up buying my 2013 Mazda 2 from Mazda Markham. They were transparent, honest, and hard working people that didn’t try to sell me a lemon or bully me. If you’re looking for a good used Mazda, they pick up some good ones. They also didn’t insult my character which is the best part! I highly recommend!
it had been 2 months i am mailing for repairing my car, no reply from their side. First and foremost, the lack of communication has been utterly exasperating. Despite numerous attempts to contact the service department via phone and email, I have received no response whatsoever.I had chosen Downsview Auto based on their promises of reliable and efficient service, but sadly, they have failed to live up to their claims. As a result, I cannot recommend them to anyone seeking dependable service for their vehicle. I strongly urge Downsview Auto to reevaluate their customer service practices and prioritize timely communication and professional service. Until they demonstrate genuine improvements, I will be taking my business elsewhere, where my needs as a customer are respected and valued. Please think twice before considering Downsview Auto for your automotive servicing needs. There are undoubtedly better options available that will treat you and your vehicle with the respect you deserve.
Had a great experience buying my 2005 Mazda 3 Hatchback here! When we first went to look at cars the salesperson was extremely helpful and we quite quickly found a car that had what we wanted for the price range we could afford. The owner was very straightforward with us and went over all the policies and made sure we had all our questions answered. Then when we picked up the car, again he made sure we were well informed of everything and we were well taken care of. The owner is a really friendly person and I also found that all the staff there were also very friendly. The one thing about Downsview Auto I really liked was that there were no pushy sales tactics used at all. The whole process was very comfortable and went very smoothly. I would definitely recommend this dealership to others. I live almost 2 hours away from Toronto and it was well worth the time and distance to get such a great deal on a vehicle and I am very satisfied with my purchase.
I am now a happy owner of a 2008 Mazda 3. I purchased it just a little under a month now and have been enjoying it since. I was very happy to see that they actually give you the time and freedom to walk around and take your time to find the right car for you without having a salesman standing at your every turn pressuring you to buy unlike other dealerships I had gone to, it took me a while to find the right car that was suited for me since there were so many to choose from but once I had found it I was helped right away. They got the car certified in less then 3 days which was great picked it up and was fully detailed and ready to go. All in all it was a very helpful and friendly environment which I loved. I would certainly recommend buying a Mazda 3 from them for sure since the pricing was very fair and the staff was very helpful a great experience over all. Thank you Downsview Auto for putting me into a wonderful Mazda 3
I needed a car ASAP because my previous car needed major repairs and wasn't drivable and not worth repairing. I was able to find a low mileage Mazda 3, no rust, excellent interior, runs great, doesn't use oil or leak and it was a very good price. I even added the CarToy navigation system and dash cam so the sound is great too. Plus it came with new brakes and tires and everything works well. I've had the car about 6 weeks now and there have been no problems but I did have some questions so I went back a couple weeks ago and they were able to answer all my questions. I am very happy with my car and would recommend Downsview Auto to anyone considering buying a Mazda 3. Just a side note, my friend has a 2013 Mazda 3 that he bought brand new with the Skyactive engine and he now has 480000 km on it with no major repairs and he still drives it daily. That's why I decided to buy the Mazda.
Posting a long term experience with the business. Please bear with me. I was sure of buying a Mazda and was my first car. While shopping around I found them and was pretty sure to buy from them. Shopping experience was 5☆ As time went by, the engine glow light came up along with few other issues. I'd a package where the vehicle was covered bumper to bumper. I reached out to them with all the issues. They responded back took in my car and repaired it. After sales support - 4☆ Only a 4 as they took a while ( 1 week ) to fix it. ( may be the issue was complex and I'm expecting too much ) But they attended to it. A suggestion to anyone buying. Check your vehicle thoroughly before you leave from the premises. I'd seen multiple negative reviews. Doing my part by sharing my positive experience and helping other in the process. Cheers to team Downsview.
Just purchased a 2005 mazda 3 and the overall buying experience was enjoyable. The sales manager was very straightforward and easy to talk to. We couldn't test drive the car as it was not yet roadworthy at the time we went to see it the first time. My first time driving it was when we took it home after paying it in full. I wasn't sure what to expect but the car is in great shape (which was later confirmed by my own mechanic as well) except a really loud noise coming from the tires due to these being worn extensively and unevenly. The dealer took the car in without any hassle and replaced all four tires at no cost to us. Great customer service. Overall, if you're looking to buy a used mazda, this is definitely a dealership to visit. I'd feel very confident buying from Downsview Auto again.
Just purchased a 2007 Mazda 3, it was not road worthy when I choose it, so I couldn't test drive it but the sales manager is really straight forward with the process. The staff is really friendly they don't mind going over the process 3 or 4 times just to make you feel comfortable. They offer a lot of warranty extension which talks really well about the place. I didn't know what to expect but the car seems working excellent and the sales manager told me if there was any problem that I can contact them if there was any problem. This is the second time I buy from them and people might confuse they quick and dry replies from the staff as been rude but in reality is just the rush of the business. I called like 7 times and they call back 4 to do follow ups which was a good experience.
Downsview Auto sets the bar quite high for standards on both customer satisfaction and overall service. I bought my 2005 BMW from them despite their extensive selection of quality Mazda vehicles. The salesmen where professional and very knowledgeable about all the cars they have in stock. The staff works hard to ensure that you are shopping within your budget and that you walk out a happy customer. Furthermore, unlike many of the other dealerships I've been to in the area, they are honest about the condition of their vehicles, while at the same time guaranteeing the customer a safe vehicle when they come pick up the car. I absolutely love my purchase and would recommend this dealership to anyone who's looking for a quality vehicle at unbeatable prices.
My boyfriend and I purchased our first vehicle from Downsview Auto this past week & I have to say our experience with them was phenomenal from start to finish. The purchase process was quick, smooth, and very transparent. We were met with incredibly knowledgeable staff that all had a great deal of professionalism. We had a small mechanical issue a few days after purchase and Downsview Auto was very cooperative, and repaired our vehicle on the same day it was brought to their attention. I couldn’t recommend purchasing a vehicle through Downsview Auto enough, we are extremely happy with our purchase! And a special shoutout to Vince and Rachel for being so friendly and responsive to any concerns, you guys made our purchasing process very enjoyable :)
I usually don’t bother with reviews however I wanted to share my positive experience with the purchase of my 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 Red Mica from Vincent the salesperson and Eran the manager which they went above and beyond to exceed my expectations . When I picked up my car it was detailed to perfection had new brakes and they even replaced the 2 front tires as they where getting low on tread. They also did an oil change and replaced the shift knob as it was a little scuffed up . That was a nice little surprise and from now on they gained my trust for all my servicing and car needs in the future . They have an amazing Espresso machine and made me feel welcome while I was waiting to finalize paperwork.
Amazing quality cars and trustworthy team! I bought my car a few months ago from Downsview auto and I couldn't have asked for a better and easier experience. Not only was the buying process quick and straightforward, but even afterwards I had my check engine light turn on after buying the car and because it was under warranty they fixed it the next day for free! Then they even "reset" the warranty time for the check engine light specifically because they wanted to ensure it was done right and that I could return in case it needed to be checked again. It has since driven excellently with no concerns. They really took care of me and demonstrated their commitment to excellent quality service.
Just want to thank Eran for the wonderful experience that I had in buying my 2011 Mazda 3. Was recommended by my friend to see him who had bought a car from him in the past. Downsview Auto has a huge inventory of excellent looking pre-owned vehicles. All vehicles are honestly priced and detailed on the car detail report on the windshield. Eran was very friendly, helpful and courteous. He took his time answering my questions and making sure that I made a best choice that would fit my lifestyle. They gave me extended warranty and winter tires at a discounted price which helped me a lot specially when you are a tight budget. Can't ask for more. Will not hesitate to return again. Thank You.
You get what you pay for, that’s all you can ask. It’s a used car dealership - you’re not buying from Honda. They will fix what you find wrong in the first 30 days and offer warranty. It’s always a gamble to buy used, but I have gotten two cars now from there - they serve their purpose. Their prices are fair, and they treated me fairly. I might be going back for a 3rd. If you don’t have time to shop around and have a low budget - this is where I will go. Everytime. Late review, but I like to test the product out fully. I paid 9gs and got 6-7 years out of a 2010 Mazda. Not bad in my books. I’m not a mechanic and didn’t treat it great and I got my monies worth. Thank you :)
Buying my first car here was a welcoming experience with Downsviews Auto. Eran was actively trying his best to give out amazing deals, also going above what he needed to do to guide me through this process. Patient and polite working with him to secure the deal. Overall a very pleasant experience here. As for the car, I bought a Mazda 3 that was in perfect condition after the few repairs. I was amazed at how good the prices were since I had been initially prepared to pay an amount that would’ve broke into my bank account. The reviews I have read prior to this don’t seem too accurate since I can’t even think of one thing to complain about. Thanks so much Eran!!
It’s been over two months since we purchased a 2103 Mazda 3 for my son who is graduating from University soon. This is his first car. We’ve owned Mazda 3s before but this was the first purchase from Downsview Auto. Very happy with the car and the service. We purchased the Premium package to make sure we’d be worry free as it comes with new brakes, new tires and a 36 day bumper to bumper warranty. The only thing it needed during the warranty period was a new battery. The original one was OK and probably would have been fine for some time but Eran and team replaced it no questions asked. We’re Mazda 3 fans and now fans of Downsview auto!
Would give a zero star if I could . Bought a SUV from them 1 month later needed engine swap and new turbo install, paid for undercoating and was also never down . Please double check ever detail that your paying for. They claim undercoating was done and may have been warned out after a few months.. Yes I bought a warranty that covers $1000 and it would be unfair that I pay for engine swap all alone when I had not driven 3000 miles yet or did an oil change. And yes I had to go through OMVIC and better business bureau in order to get help from you. Also as my picture states there is no undercoating done as you claim
I am posting my review after a month of buying the car. We bought a 2010 mazda 3 car, We weren’t sure about the purchase cuz the car didn’t have a history record neither a certificate prior to purchase. But we did the purchase and added the premium 30 days warranty ( I highly recommend). The dealer provided the carfax report for free and it our car was accident free. The car had some mechanical issues later, Downsview auto fixed the problems quickly and efficiently. Communication was great with all the staff during and after the sale. Thank u Downsview auto team. We would definitely recommend you for friends.
Lots of selection of Madza 3 cars, price ranges. The staff was absolutely amazing and accommodating, I work and go to school and they were able to schedule times that worked best for me. Also, my car had a couple issues within 2 weeks of me purchasing the car. The manager Eran was nice enough to fix my car within 1 day! I was very pleased with the service and I would recommend this place for anyone. Including as a woman purchasing a vehicle I felt like there could've been a huge chance someone could try to over charge me for certain things, but I dont feel that way at all with Eran. 10/10!!!
Bought our 82k 2010 Mazda3 here and we are very happy with it! Yes, they do not allow you to test drive the car because it needs to be safetied first. There was some things a 10 year old car would have like scratches and small dents. However, when we said that we did not like the headlight because they were dirty and really foggy, they offered to exchange the headlights free of charge! We were sold and happy that they could accomodate us. In addition they have safety packages that also included rust proofing and other services. Overall, happy with the experience.
I could’ve gotten a second car here when I was in desperate need but refrained due to their $500 non refundable policy to road test a vehicle. All the cars on their lot are in “as-is” condition and will start a repair when you put that $500 down as your commitment to it. Even that promising array of warranty they offer did not convinced me. You can rent a car for 3 days with that money. What if you didn’t like the car for whatever reason? The 3 stars are for Vincent for being understanding and nice, even offered me a set winter tires but still not convinced.
Well this is the second Mazda 3 I have purchased from Eran. I have been totally happy and satisfied with my experience and the integrity of Downsview Auto. The place looks a little decrepit, but I can ensure you these guys are fair and offer excellent value in the volume based business. I do not need a pretty show room, I just need value for my money and these guys offer that to me. They have treated me well and been very attentive to my needs, no issues here at all. Will definitely buy again for a third time here when my daughter needs a car next year. A+
I have driven everything from a 32 wheeled tractor trailer, to a motorcycle. I have had so many cars in my 30+ years of driving and dealt with many dealers. I bought a Mazda3 from these folks. The were awesome to work with, I did buy the extra add-on package for $800 (new tires included). They did follow through with a couple of minor things when notified within the time period. (30 days after purchase). They did honour the contract. Good people especially Rachel. Would very much consider purchasing another vehicle from these folks. My Two Twoonies worth.
Just bought a mazda 3 for the second time in 7 years at this dealership. Eran is absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was done properly on the car. I did have to come back after a week because a stabilizer link needed to be changed and Eran took care of it no questions asked as promised. The prices are amazing and beyond anything you will find anywhere else. They offer a great warranty for little money which covers you for major components. In all I am extremely happy. Wouldn't go anywhere else for a used car!
Bought my first car with them back in 2020 and I've been pushing off the review for awhile. Drove by the place and it reminded me to do it lol. The buying experience was great, the people were helpful and caring. They helped me choose the right car for my needs and budget. I had one minor issue when I received the car but they were able to quickly fix it and accommodate a very tight schedule as I was moving in a couple of days. Fast forward three years and my 209 000 km Mazda is at 276 000 km with no issues at all.
Had a good experience at Downsview Auto. The customer service was good and everyone was friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the first vehicle we picked out that was not related to Downsview but Eran and his team were still more than happy to help us out and get us sorted out with another vehicle. After the car was purchased we had an issue with the check engine light which was fixed in one day without any further issues. Love my Mazda 3 and great buying experience.
I just bought a car from Downsview Auto and had a great experience with Vincent during the process. Vincent was there to help me with any issues. The car had some minor mechanical issues and when I told Vincent he was happy to help and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. Vincent was really nice and helpful. The important thing is that the car drives smoothly and I couldn't be happier! Thanks again! ! I will definitely recommend to friends.
I bought my second car, a 2014 Mazda3 from Erin & Vincent and their team this October. It was the first one I was genuinely interested in, and Vincent and Erin were there to help me with whatever questions I had. There were some minor mechanical issues with the car, and when I told Erin he was more than happy to help, and truly was very kind and empathetic and helpful. The car is running smoothly, and I couldn't be happier! Thanks again team. :)
I made a good friend and got a fantastic purchase! My 2008 mazda 3 is running for the second year with no problems. The car had a few problems in the beginning that had that Erin had no problems taking care of. I got super good deal on an amazing car and to top it all off superb service always done with a smile from all staff. Big thumbs up, Erin and Vincent always make sure that the customers are happy and satisfied. Once again thanks!
I really loved that the prices were already predetermined, made my life a lot easier. I never felt pressured to buy while I was looking and everyone was very helpful in answering all my questions. When I took the vehicle back to get it fixed they fixed the issues properly and I didn't have any hassles with getting it done I would highly recommend this dealership, I had a great experience, everything was upfront and transparent.
My family and I have now purchased 5 vehicles from Downsview Auto. Eran, Vincent, and team are excellent. They consistently go above and beyond, and always make sure we are taken care of. They are a pleasure to work with. I can't say enough good things about these guys. If you're in the market for a Mazda 3, this is the #1 place to go. When we buy our 6th Mazda 3 I will have to update this review again and make it 6 stars.
Feb 2021 purchased a 2011 Mazda 3s 254,000 km's and am very satisfied with the service, the car the warranty, as a technician myself I know cars are machines and anything can happen at any time. So depending on what you want you'll have to decide. All and all for a 10 yr old car I'ts amazing I was sick and tired of Auto trader and Kijiji lies very happy I found Downsview. I wasn't even looking for a Mazda but Love it!!
I've been to a lot of used car dealerships, and this is the only one that made me feel comfortable in buying with them! They took me through the process, and I felt heard. Upon getting the car, I did have some issues, but they were taken care of, by the 36 day warranty. Best of all, they kept me updated every step of the way. I would recommend this place to ANYONE looking to buy a used car. They are awesome!!
They are scammers!!! Don’t trust them. They scammed a friend of mine of 500$. They asked him to pay 500$ to get the car ready for a test drive. However, afterwards they told him that he has to register the car under his name to drive it. They didn’t return his advance. Don’t pay a dollar before they allow you to test drive the vehicle. They’ll try to sweet talk you into paying an advance. Don’t trust them.
I came here looking to buy an inexpensive, but well maintained, car and found one the first time I stepped on the lot. The staff walked me through all of the safety checks my car will undergo before It leaves the lot to make sure everything is in working order. I’ve had it for about a week now and everything seems to be going great! Downsview made buying my first car easy, stress-free, and quick.
I purchased a 2005 Mazda 3. I love this car. It was an awesome car with great mileage and a decent price. I was looking for a standard transmission and they did a great job showing me everything they had. They went through the buying process with me quite clearly and I had a good understanding of how things worked. I had 1 issue after delivery and they worked hard to make sure it was resolved.
I came down here some time ago to look at a car that I was interested in possibly purchasing. The staff let me inspect the vehicle without any interference and answered all of my questions in full detail. Although I did not end up making a purchase, I walked away knowing that I was fully informed of the car and the options if I were to move forward with the purchase. Can't complain!
I have just moved to Toronto, know nothing about cars and wanted a vehicle that offered cheap insurance. Eran and Vincent were super helpful and I have come away a very happy customer. I can't speak for what service is like at other dealerships but I would highly recommend this one. Thanks guys for making this choice a good one and appreciate the honest advice throughout.
I just picked up my car, a 2006 Mazda 3 and I love it. Everyone at Downsview Auto is very friendly and helpful. They helped me to select a car best suited to my specifications. I never felt pressured to make a purchase before I was ready. They have a wide selection of Mazda cars at very reasonable prices. I will definitely recommend them to family and friends.
I picked up my 07 Mazda 3 couple weeks ago, it was good experience to begin with, they took very good care of me as a customer and got my vehicle ready fast. Had some minor issues with it after, a little over my warranty limits, but they fixed it no problem at no cost to me. I am very satisfied with my choice of a dealership, they do a good job.
Great experience! Bought my first car here and I have no complaints. Absolutely love the car. Eran and his team are great. They are really nice and try to be as helpful as they can be. They cover all safety and emissions tests, run a full mechanical check, and guarantee new brakes. Highly recommended to get a Mazda from these guys!
I recently bought a mazda 3 for my wife and had an amazing experience at Downsview Auto. They walked me through every part of the purchase process, answered all my questions and even helped with financing. The entire process was very smooth, anyone who is looking for a mazda, they would definitely be the first place I recommend!
I picked up a Mazda 3 2012 manual from here over a month ago. Did a couple of road trips. The car runs absolutely great! Recently went to a trusted mechanic to get a couple of things checked - and he was impressed with the condition too:) Thanks to the guys at Downsview (especially Eran) - this has been an amazing purchase:)
I haven't bought a car from here, yet.. maybe. Who knows. I've just read through these reviews briefly. The owners responses are hilarious and entertaining to say the least. It is funny to see things wear out and people get upset over wear items, hahah. Keep up the hard work dude, lol. People will be mad. Have a nice day :)
Recently bought a 2013 CX5 from Downview Auto. Excellent experience dealing with them, especially Erin. Brought the vehicle back for some work under warranty. He has VERY helpful dealt with the issues right away. If you are looking for used Mazda, I highly recommend. Extremely satisfied with their customer service.
Second car we have bought from here. Friendly and professional, feel confident if there is any problems with purchase, they would assist to make things right. Very busy, so they must be doing something right. Parking can be challenging, but location is easy to get to. Thanks guys for another great experience.
Their reviews are fake. The sell cars cheaper price than other dealers because they’re shady. The cars aren’t good in condition. They won’t even allow you to test drive their vehicle. The try to get a deposit from you before even you can drive claiming the vehicle isn’t ready and won’t give it back.
Bought a 2010 Mazda 3 hatchback from this place. Great selections and one of the lowest dealership prices guaranteed and works with you to find you a perfect match car. They understand the customers need and offers the best solution around it! It was great and I highly recomend this place to others
I bought Mazda 3 2011 in this dealer with a good price and 36 days guarantee. I’m completely happy to have a business with this dealer, them repaired a car after a deal and in 1 month when I had a problem with a car - them fixed it by guarantee. I can recommend this dealer for used Mazda cars :)
Had a great experience purchasing a Mazda 3 from Downsview Auto. From beginning to end, the process was easy, they were responsive to any questions and kept me in the loop on when I could pick it up. I appreciate their friendliness! Car is running great and I am really happy with everything.
My family has now purchased 5 Mazdas at Downsview Auto. Eran, Vince and the team went above and beyond ensuring the car was in great shape before leaving the lot. I am extremely satisfied with the service they’ve provided and I will definitely be coming back here again in my near future!
Great Dealer. Most of their vehicles come with 5yr/ unlimited kms warranty. I bought a Honda Accord from them and it developed some starting issues after a couple of weeks. The dealer replaced the starter and fixed the issue for free. I also got brand new tires and rotors with the car.
I had a very good experience purchasing a car at Downsview auto. Everyone was very friendly and was able to walk me through each step in detail on the process on buying the car. They also have really good warranty packages to offer which made me feel secure when buying my car!
Best Place to buy Cars. Specially when it’s your first car as a new driver. Me and my friends bought 3 cars from here and they are all great. Downsview will help you anytime if you are having any trouble with your car. Quick response, Good cars, awesome service and staff.
Even on the day when heavy snowfall occurred, the workers at the dealership were kind enough to help shovel off the snow from the car we wanted to see. After a few months of owning my CX-5, I'm happy to say that it remains stable and reliable for my daily commute.
Was in dire need of a car and came to these guys. The financing was easy and Vince and Erin made it easy for me! I bought extended warranties and there has been a couple of minor problems but they fixed it as promised and am very happy with my car! Thanks guys!!
We decided on a Mazda3 and thought this was would be a great place that knows the car and would select very good Mazda3s for their lot. Nope. It's a scrapyard. They claim they'll fix all major problems with their 'safety.' Long drive to be very disappointed.
What can I say, amazing staff who were friendly and explained every step of the process clearly. Puts one's mind to ease about buying a used car from Downview Auto. Would recommend to friends and family looking to get a decent car for a decent price. …
Made buying a used car a great experience. Very open and honest about the process. Bought the extended warranty took the car to my mechanic and Downsview, fixed all the minor issues without any questions. If your looking for a used Mazda 3 this the place.
I was received warmly by the best front desk.they are caring and they took their time explaining to me even though I went there not knowing what I really wanted.I appreciate their service and personality. Very respectful people and they sell reliable cars
Earn was extremely helpful with all of my questions and cared a lot about helping me drive away with a car that I liked. Had some minor issues which they were happy to fix. Would definitely recommend coming here for great service and great cars!
This place looks sketchy. Many of the cars are not in drive-able conditions and the store itself looks like a front. However, if you take the time to go in and listen to their policies, you begin to understand the state of the lot. The cars
A friend of mine has a great experience with his Mazda 3, 2004 model , which make me decide to look for a Mazda. I find Downsview Auto in my search and decided to visit the place. Looking around, I found their prices reasonable compared to
I am hoping to compel those who are in the market to purchase a used car to put your faith in these people. When I chose my car I did not go for their best model, but for what I could afford. This is important for what follows. I followed
Best experience I’ve had buying a used car. They worked with me and treated with respect. They explained everything in great detail and answered all my questions. Car was ready on time told me everything that needed to be fixed. They kept
My daughter and I went to find her first car. I was already driving a Mazda and swear I won't drive anything else because they are well built and made to last. We picked out an older Mazda 2 with high mileage because it fit our budget and
Just purchased my first car today and the experience was amazing. I was treated with respect and felt like I was their number one priority. Anything that I asked them for in terms of things missing from the car they instantly tried to fix
Don’t give them a deposit. They’d show the vehicle, tell that it has some work to be done and ask for a deposit to book the vehicle so that ‘others’ won’t take it: When you ask for a test drive, they’d ask you to first ‘purchase’ it. Lol
I was looking for an affordable used car last month for my wife who got her G2. I shopped online, compare and I found that this dealership for used car is the most affordable with free CARTOY. It was Sunday, I met Vincent and he told me
My daughter has bought 2 Mazda's from Downsview Auto and has been very happy with both cars. When I was looking for an upgrade, she suggested I go look. I loved that they had a board with postings of cars for sale, so I didn't have to
Great experience for my son buying his first car. Vince and Eran were honest, straightforward and easy to deal with. Everything was explained in detail, and every promise made to my son was kept. Strongly recommend this business.
Me & my daughter was there this weekend. They where recommended by my friend who bought a car for her daughter & extremely happy. I must be honest, I was so impress David was such excellent sales man & Eran was
Great experience in the sale process and pick up of my daughter’s first car. Great to have some safety features added before delivery like the backup camera! Can’t go wrong with new tires and new brakes too!
Don't waste your time for this seller, they post fraud pictures of car in their ads. When I came to see Mazda3 which looked pretty good on pictures it looks completely different with rust and lost of paint.
Bought a Mazda 3 hatchback recently. Had a good experience, everyone was friendly. The whole process was really quick and they did such a great job on repairing the car before i picked it up!
Spent 3500 got the best car ever. Never given me any problems. Truest a gem. I got a steal. Thank you very pleased. My family my business have all benefited greatly from my Mazda. …
The staff at Downsview Auto were all so patient, helpful and informative during the whole process. I love my car, I'm so happy with my purchase and the great customer service I received!
Great selection, cars for every budget! My experience was and is 100% positive! I have already recommended these guys to family! Good dealer… cheers!
I purchased a car from here two months ago. Overall they have a good selection on cars but there are some serious issues that really bothered me.
A nice dealership. Bought a 2010 Mazda 3 GT for my daughter as her first car. Eran the owner and Vince were very helpful and took good care of us.
I do not recommend them at all. 0% yes, 100% no. 10k on my first car and engine lights are on. Air bag, ABS, Powertrain Module leakage.
Bought a 2013 Mazda 3 hatch auto for my daughter here friendly sales great price and good quality work.No need to go anywhere else.
There have been a lot of mixed reviews about this place, picked up my 2010 Mazda3 GT yesterday and wanted to share my opinion.
Eran and his team are great. Customer service was exceptional and the premium package with snows was a great value.
Just want to thank Erin for his expert help setting up my Cartoy Pro . Great experience. Thanks again.
I bought my first car from Downsview Auto and had an amazing experience from start to finish.
