Took my cat who had become very weak with cat flu to this veterinary hospital. I did not have an appointment as I was not aware that I needed one on that morning. But the receptionist sensed how sick my cat was, and kindly offered that I wait until one of the vets become available. 5 stars to her! It was a very, very busy morning, with clients dropping their pets for a variety of hospital services for the day. Despite this, I was called in sooner than I thought was possible. The vet suggested a drip, but to be administered in the consultation room, as he could not be admitted for a hospital stay due to the contagious nature of cat flu. 5 Stars to the vet! A veterinary nurse came to administer the drip, and I wish she could have been as gentle and caring with that needle and bag, as the vet was to my cat. However, I remain very grateful to the vet who was willing to see my cat, and who sold me a special recovery fish-food in which i could mix his antibiotic fluid, and which he was willing to eat after becoming just too sick to want to eat anything else.

Never have I encountered a more compassionate family of healthcare professionals who treat your furry children with all the respect, consideration and attention human children require. Without the care, hard work and investigative genius of Dr Alet Engelbrecht and her team, my son would not be the happy old man he is now, and I rest in the knowledge that when my daughter reaches her brother's age she too will be a happy old woman. I am a better mother because of what I have learnt from Dr Engelbrecht. My gratitude to her and her team cannot be adequately captured and conveyed in this simple review, but it is as boundless as my love for my children, because as a result of everything that Dr Alet Engelbrecht and her team have done I am gifted with the most precious resource on this planet - more time with the two beings I treasure and love more than any other in this Universe. So glad we switched to them from Tygerberg Animal Hospital a couple of years ago. Level of service, care and knowledge is on a different level. Today we had to take our persian cat in due to dental problems. They were able to do an extraction and remove a growth under anesthetic the same day and we were able to collect Pascal the afternoon. Already drinking and eating the same day. Was very helpful and caring throughout the whole process.

A visit to a vet that didn't keep me waiting and gave me an open, honest breakdown of what to expect and what treatment will or won't work for my cat. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Best of all, my visit didn't require a second bond! The costs were extremely reasonable. They even send you an online form to complete as a new client, so no paperwork to fill in when you get there. Easy peasy! Absolutely fabulous experience!

Dr. Kerry is such an amazing veterinarian and treated my dogs with so much love. One can definitely see that she has a passion for what she does. Belinda went out of her way to get the results for skin samples from my female that was taken by another veterinary about two years ago that we struggled to get feedback from. You guys are amazing and I would definitely recommend you and will come back again and agin with my pets. :)

Took my Italian greyhound who was yelping when touched to get seen too. Doc was okay and speedy on the diagnosis and treatment and even suggested we return if things didn't improve post medication as well as bringing him back for a follow-up for fix some other issue no other vet had mentioned! Definitely worth visiting if you want to provide your pet with some quality medical treatment.

Amazing enjoyed a fun filled evening if training on how to deal with emergency sutuations with pets. Wonderful staff, speaker were awesome food devine and oh my goofness.....we received goody bags with the most awesome goodies in. Thank you so much for all the love for animals and care for us. Unbelievable vet. Amazing people. I just moved to cape town from jhb and they just are the simply the best vet here. Take time to care about your pet and their needs. By far the best vet we've been to. It was such a weird experience to have the vet actually examine our cat each time each they see them. Not just a blood test each time you see them like other vet chains. They take the time to inspect your animal and talk to you about what is going on, etc. If you're in Durbanville, there no other vet that compares.

Not my usual vet but took my sister there to say goodbye to her beloved 19yr old kitty. They gave my 88yr old sister all the time she needed to stroke and talk to her ( as any pet lover would understand). They were both treated with so much kindness and compassion. The staff went out of their way to make this sad time less tramatic. THANK YOU

Great vets and staff. All very friendly and give great advice. Always clean and neat. Nice selection of dog and cat food as well as treats, toys, collars, leads, shampoos etc. They also support some of the welfare/rescue organisations by selling their Christmas cards/calenders etc and they have collections tins for them as well.

Changing my rating as the vet is amazing but the receptionists dont seem able to keep up with all the calls. I made an appointment last week for today. First they answer the phone and dont speak and then when I call back they make an appointment with me. When I turn up for the appointment they say I dont have one! So upset!

Out cat had the best care with them. Thanks to Dr Madrè Rheeder's dedication, they managed to diagnose and remove a foreign object which got stuck in our kitty's intestines. Very friendly and efficient staff, the shop is very well stocked as well. They were able to accommodate us on very short notice on New Year's Eve at about 17:00, I was very surprised that they were willing to help at that time, but they were and they did an excellent job. Definitely the top Vets in the area!

Absolutely amazing, very helpful and cost is not too much. They are brilliant with the pets and there is no long waiting periods for appointments. Love the welcome gift pack you get with your own little booklet for your pets next appointments etc, it's like having a new baby best feeling ever.

"Vets who care" is certainly fitting to the vets and staff. They are all lovely and give my pets the best care. We've been going there for 10 years+, and 4 dogs and 6 cats later, I can honestly say that there is no one I trust more with my fur-babies' health.

I am very satisfied with their service. "Some places" tend to show no empathy towards our furr kids, but that's not the case with DAH. They're so kind, caring and loving towards me and my kitties. I will rather pay more just because of the kindness.
