NEVER AGAIN! Amongst all vet visits this one was by far the most disappointing and annoying one! Whilst the receptionists were very friendly and accommodating the vet Dr Tanya Heuer was very unfriendly and no where near of being empathetic - neither with my dog nor with myself. Without any further explanation and no introduction of herself to my dog or myself (it was our first visit!) she said “give him to me” to take him to the treatment room , I assumed. Upon my question if I could come too she replied “no”. No explanation or whatsoever. Then she left with my dog. After a while I got him back, a considerable piece of his fur was missing due to clearing the wound-area much more generously than needed I feel (he performs in professional photo-shoots so I guess that makes it slightly more difficult but not impossible thx to Photoshop) and I received antibiotics, anti-inflammatory and some other wound-cleaning-stuff. Again, no explanation what was done, what the meds are and why they are necessary. One would have assumed vets can imagine health conscious pet-owners are interested in knowing these things in an attempt to only give them those meds which are absolutely necessary and where there is no other alternative. Myself I also try to avoid taking meds as much as I can and only take them if there is absolutely no alternative. Worst experience! Long story short, I am very disappointed and even upset with myself that I did not simply leave when I realised where this appointment was going to and I still had the chance. I certainly won’t go back. TO YOUR REPLY: Your “standardised” (you did not even make the effort to address me with my correct name) and careless reply once more confirms my terrible experience with your services. Instead of welcoming (even if negative) and using a customer’s feedback to question and, if needed, to improve on your service-levels, you start the typical “blame-game”. Unable to own your mistakes and deal with it in a responsible manner you try to create a “stressful wound” situation. The truth is, my dog was nipped in his bum while playing with another dog two days prior to us coming to you. The wound was small, not bleeding and not infected. To come and see the vet was a simple measure of precaution (“rather be careful than sorry”). Therefore neither my dog nor I were stressed when coming to see the vet. I believe you are mistaken when you believe the educated user, who carefully reads reviews, will be fooled by your weak attempt to shift the blame. I am sure the user sees your reply for what it is: an unworthy, unprofessional decoy to distract from the unacceptable services you offered to us.

Before leaving my home in Marina da Gama went on website to see Saturday closing time it showed 13:00. Needed to buy Tick and Flea meds for my furry child. Arrived at 12:40 on 4 Feb 2023. On arrival receptionist just stepped outside and told me they are leaving and closed the clinic for the day Another older female also came out locking the doors with 5 different keys and locks. This very rude person didn't even bother to speak to me, just locked up, turned her back on me and left. The receptionist suggested I go downstairs to a new Pet Shop on site. I wasn't aware of this shop (where the Post Office used to be) they were very helpful and lucky for me, were able to supply a product. That was not the way to treat a prospective client while I was on time and traveled quite a few kilometers to get there. Definitely not the service I expected from Falsebay Vetenary clinic !!

We have been going to this vet for the last 7 years with our cat, since we rescued him. We have been helped by various different vets over those years. The service of every one of them has been exceptional. They have all had a very obvious love and compassion for your animal. The reception staff and nurses hands have also been such lovely people. I would not have taken my furchild anywhere else. Specifically the latest vet that is here, Dr Marisa, has been fantastic with our cats' very serious health issues. I would like to thank them and express my appreciation for all their help and caring over the years!

False Bay Vet staff have been so helpful, compassionate and professional in the care of our two kitties for the past 3 years. We order special food for our nervous cats which the team makes sure is available within 24 hours of order and they send us WhatsApps to let us know as soon as its ready. We also get vaccine reminders which is so helpful. I can't imagine the trauma they must witness daily but they have never made me feel like an afterthought. Our vet is strict with the serious stuff, but so gentle and thorough in her care which we value so much.

Excellent service from reception through to Vet and assistant. The very first time that I took my anxious, feisty, unsociable Min Pin, Che to this clinic, Che put up a good "fight" with the vet and assistant but the vet was patient, calm, caring and she eventually won the "fight". My hearts won over as no other vet from the more popular and larger clinics had the patience with him and usually just fobbed him off with a quick inoculation and no further checks. I highly recommend F. B. V. C. it's definitely become the clinic of choice for my fur baby.

Dr Marrissa is wonderful. Great compassion for animals. I brought my dog for a second opinion on an unresolved health issue. Dr Marissa took great care in getting all the information on previous tests and results. I left with so much hope that at last someone cares enough to find the root cause and possible treatment without breaking my bank. That too was important to her. Would highly recommend her.

Really disappointed by the service received at this vet practice. Lovely vet and friendly staff, but unfortunately poor administration and accountability. Two instances of admin errors with invoicing and payment on our account, and rather than admitting the mistake, we received threatening text messages. Would rather drive further than have to deal with this incompetence again!

I will never set foot there again,am extremely worried about my 17 year old cat,wanted to just have a minute to show the vet a quick video clip of my cat and ask for advice,but no was told she woudnt be prepared to do that,unforgiveable and i will no longer suggest them to my other pet owner friends,not the muizenberg spirit at all,steer clear

What an amazing place. They helped us save a stray that had a 50/50 chance of surviving tick bite fever. 2days of the best care and Luna (Aggie) was out of the woods. She now has a forever home on a big farm thanks to all their efforts. They are the best at what they do and they do it with such compasion. They will forever have our gratitude!

Friendly staff and fair priced. After using 3 other Vets, this is the first place where I look forward to taking my Cat for anything at all. The last visit, 2 dogs were in the reception and the lady behind the counter immediately took me to a different room in order to keep all the animals at ease. Small things which makes this Vet different.

Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff with good facilities. We visit monthly for pet food and have been using the vet for years now. The veterinarian was great with our cats and she makes them feel as comfortable as can in such circumstances... We get good service and they're generally able to order in food that's out of stock.

They are exceptional! No appointments overlap each other. When you arrive with your pet it's only you and your furry baby..no added stress on top of the fact that your baby is unwell which can be stressful for them with other pets around. I've never had to go back to the clinic, she is thorough and spot on.

Always great service when we visit with our boxer doggo. They also have or Guinea pigs a check-up with some extra advise. The team seam to have a wide scope of knowledge. Can highly recommend. There is even a small shop to pick up some treats and dog food.
