We hired this company for a local move from Culver City area to Long Beach and were expecting a move that would take 4-6 hours. Before you hire them, go ahead and at least DOUBLE the price they quote you at. Our quote for a 3-hour move was $542. They tried to charge almost triple the estimate (over $1300), which we eventually negotiated down to $1100 after calling the company multiple times. Having just completed the same move (but across the country and with TVs, artwork, and several items we moved ourselves this time around), our last company cleared out our 2-bedroom apartment in 1.5 hours. However, after 4 hours, these movers were still dawdling, spending 15 minutes at a time with all 3 movers in their truck, slowly wrapping furniture in plastic wrap, and taking nearly 40 minutes to disassemble a basic, bare-bones queen size bed frame. They know they make more money the longer they take and they intentionally dragged their feet to increase the price of the move. Do sofa cushions need to be plastic-wrapped? Absolutely not. Can they waste 20 minutes doing it? You bet. This company intentionally quotes low and then moves at a snail pace to jack up the price. It is completely deceptive. The customer service representative/manager (“Greg”) was also very rude when we called 5 hours into the move (not even having left our starting point) to let him know that the team was moving too slowly. Never again would I use or recommend this company to anyone. To add insult to injury, they left piles of plastic wrap at both locations and refused to take it with them or put it in a dumpster.

Five Star Moving and Storage is actually worth an infinite number of stars. The communication from the moment that I reached out to get a quote up until the day of our move was top notch! I had to change our move-in date several times, as well as change what was being moved, which in turn changed the price, but Chris and Greg always took it in stride, super patient and accommodating. The morning of the move, I received a phone call from Jason and Esteban, letting me know that they were 30 minutes out. They arrived and did a walk-through, asking questions, making sure that they knew exactly what was needed in order to make this move a success. My two teenage sons also helped, which they didn’t have to mind you, but I wanted them to not just sit around and be lazy. Esteban and Jason really put in the work. I was hosting an event in Hollywood with a venue for the first time. I needed the existing furniture out of the space, stored, and moved back in. Five Star Moving got back to me immediately and with an ideal quote. On event day, they were on time, extremely communicative, fast, and accommodating. They wrapped and protected the furniture and dropped it back off flawlessly - you would never know anything was moved. I cannot stress how easy this process was from beginning to end. They’re incredibly fair and good at what they do, and I won’t hesitate to use them again. Highly recommend.

I recently moved and took their help. I had a great experience. Eludio and Isidro were my movers. They came on time and did a wonderful job in disassembling, packing, moving and assembling the big furnitures back without any damage. They were very efficient and fast. They even taped few stuffs that were open and made sure nothing was left behind. They look less than 3 hrs to move items from a 1b. Would definitely recommend considering they have reasonable prices.

I have now hired Matt, Greg and their team twice for moving my offices. Once locally and once from NorCal to L.A. I will say they have absolutely named their business appropriately. They are an absolute 5 Star team. They communicate well, are on time, do what they say, competitively priced, take great care in their work and respect that moving is not a happy thing for most people to do. Five Star Moving lives up to its name. We used them for a local move and were extremely pleased with the service, communication, courtesy, and value. The moving crew showed up on time and handled the move in a very efficient and professional manner, completing the job in less than the estimated time. This was the best moving experience I have ever had. Friendly, fast, professional and all at a really good price. They showed up in the middle of a terrible rain shower and took the time to wrap all of my boxes and furniture in order to protect them from the rain. Everything was delivered to my new apartment in perfect shape. No damage at all! I am so grateful for them. If you need movers, this is the company to hire.

They managed to get us out of our apartment in the estimated time, I was really impressed and happy with the friendliness and helpful it was definitely a great experience, definitely could not have moved everything without their help.

The movers did a fantastic job! Very receptive to my sometimes chaotic instructions and were very careful with all items. I was definitely impressed with the level of care they took to secure and wrap items. One of the movers even offered to fix previously broken feet on a large dresser. Overall they made this very stressful move so easy and painless for me. 10/10 would recommend!

As far as moving my furniture and keeping it safe, they did an excellent job. However, there was a slight discrepancy to do with billing but, they fixed the issue at hand quickly and professionally and, if it was up to me...I'd recommend their company to any of those trying to move, without hassle &/or without damaged or missing furniture lol. So, 5 stars from me.

I was in desperate need of moving and did not know where to start. They were the 2nd company I called and they gave me a lower price than the 1st company. They sent 3 guys to do the job and honestly they worked fast. They gave me a discount too for paying in cash. Not to say, Greg the manager was very professional when speaking too.
