Sadly, I can't say many good things about the team at Bulimba. While all the staff are super friendly (on a very superficial "that's awesome" type level), that appears to be all they have to offer. My partner and I were booking a spontaneous trip to Italy, so we knew it wouldn't be cheap, but we didn't expect to be paying several thousand more for flights alone through flight centre, especially when we weren't skimping on flights and had nominated our preferred airline and class (to maximise points earned). We ended up finding the flights and asking them if they could compete, which took them a few days and much prompting to get back to us. we were bounced between 4 people for our pretty simple flight booking, but we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and book through them since they had put in the work to come up with an initial itinerary attempt. After all, we do know it's a commission based industry and aren't out to do anyone out of a job. When it came to accommodation we advised that we wanted hotels affiliated with Virgin so that we could further benefit from our points. The recommendations sent to us were not aligned and when we sought clarification we were told that we could check online ourselves to see if they were. So, we found and booked our own accommodation as well, at a fraction of the cost we had been originally quoted. Again, we weren't skimping. When we enquired about car hire, we were essentially told it would be best for us to do it ourselves. So, we found our own flights, accommodation and car hire, which has left me wondering what they get paid for since I did the work? Each step of the way we had to chase people up to get back to us, as nothing was ever delivered when promised. It was made quite clear from the very beginning that my partner was paying for this entire trip, yet no matter how many times it was requested, they couldn't seem to include him in any of the plans. We specifically asked for him to be the main point of contact, yet he was habitually excluded from email communications, the agents would call me instead of him, or call him and ask for me, and even sent the tickets to our PO box in my name. I am embarrassed by the disrespect he has been shown All in all, this was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. Edit: having arrived for the first leg of our trip this morning it was made apparent that the travel agent hadn't listed our Velocity numbers for our flights. This resulted in further messing around for us at check in.

Your branch in the airport told us this NOT the airline. The airline didn’t “change” our seats, I fly ALOT I know they can do this, FC Bulimba made an error and my husband will be coming to see you to obtain the refunds we are due. We really wish we had booked the flight direct. The service was helpful enough in the office but having paid for exit seats my husband didn’t get them. Upon check in at Brisbane AND Dublin Emirates advised us we couldn’t have the seats allocated and the Brisbane airport branch of Flight Centre confirmed that we had been sold seats we shouldn’t have been as they were bassinet only seats. My husband has a medical condition that means he has to get up and down a lot. Thankfully flight centre at brisbane airport sorted an aisle seat for him on the way out but on the way back he was stuck in a window. I even emailed Bulimba to check that the seats back were definitely extra leg room, and was assured they were. My Husband will be coming to see you flight centre….. he’s very unhappy. Next time we will just book direct. Zero point using this service to be honest.

Lauren recently arranged a trip to Sri Lanka for us. She listened to what we wanted to achieve from the trip and the pre-planning was brilliant. We were just about packed and ready to go when Terrorists attacked Colombo. We were of 2 minds whether to go or cancel but Lauren was able to pull on information from people on the ground to get the real story of what to expect, more so than what was coming from official and media channels. At the end of the day, and using Lauren's information, we went and had the greatest time. True, security was tight but we were safe and there was nothing new that Lauren had not raised before we departed. The pre planning with her and the arrangements she made for the trip were exceptional. Her advice from on the ground was accurate and assisted us in making the right decisions. Lauren did not just sell us a trip and wave us goodbye, she stepped up when things got a bit sticky and made sure it was all going to work. Good job Lauren. Thanks

Having just moved to Bulimba and frequent travelers we thought we would try our local FC for booking our trip to Europe. After our experiance I wouldn't recommend booking anything with FC Bulimba. They ruined our Europe trip with false promises selling us something they knew they couldn't deliver in order to get our booking. When it was raised before leaving they assured us they would resolve before departure. Months later still waiting on refunds and compensation and countless emails with no responses. These guys are are far from travel experts, they ruined our Europe holiday with frustration at every location checkin including reservations lost due to them trying to fix their mistakes causing my countless hours fighting with hotels and countless hours having to get FC Emergency Assist to help. Now to experience the lack of support in rectifying their mistake really shows they don't care about customers.

Our affected trip was booked with FC Kippa-Ring. The actions are deplorable and occurred unilaterally after we communicated our dissatisfaction over Flight Centre charging a $300 per head penalty fee for the airlines cancelation of our flights due to covid19. The managers actions of deleting and blocking us are horrible and as a result we will not be conducting any future business with Flight Centre or Lauren Fell. Shame on you Lauren for blocking us and shame on Flight Centre for cash grabbing fees on all forced cancelled covid19 travels.

My initial experience was great - while making my booking and up till the point of my money being taken. After which the customer service went downhill. I have repeatedly tried calling my agent, who is either on holiday or on another call - then I am told by others that they will make sure he calls me by COB that day. This has never happened. I am very disappointed with the after-service - especially in retail, the concept is that 80% of your business comes from looking after your current customers and only 20% from new ones. From my initial encounter, I was going to recommend the store and give my repeat business also - but after this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I hope head office reads this - because the customer service is appalling.

Having paid for the various sections of our trip prior to Covic to the USA we could not leave the Country due to Federal Government restriction rules, now in October 2023, we are still trying to get our airline ticket money refunded and both Jetstar Australia so far USA carrier United Airlines may refund part of our money, Sam Hele Team Leader at Flight Center Bulimba Brisbane has truly been an outstanding person in striving to get United Airlines to review our situation and refund our money. However they will still honor the booked sections of our planned holidays, due to our health both my wife and myself we can't now travel, Sam is a credit to his company and they are fortunate to have him working for them.

I was stranded in Brisbane in March 2020 and desperate to get home to the UK. I was originally dealing with Rachel, who was incredibly helpful, trying to find a flight home for me whilst borders were closing down on a daily basis. Lauren has since taken over, and has been amazing and has kept in contact with me. Lauren is so professional and friendly too, and now I have refunds for both my failed flight home and the hotel. I had booked an overseas holiday with Lauren at Flight Centre Bulimba. In March the pandemic forced the cancellation of the trip. Lauren was very professional in explaining what needed to be done to cancel all bookings and thankfully be reimbursed . Lauren worked tirelessly to keep in touch with me as to how progress was going.
