BEST BIKE SHOP....EVER (or ANYWHERE!!!) I started biking seriously last May. When I was looking for a bike to begin my adventure into cycling, I went to a lot of bike shops. I wanted a road bike but I don't look like the "typical" road cycler (read thin and fit lol) and I wasn't looking to spend my life savings on a new bike, In the four other bike shops I visited before going to Full Cycle - Hintonburg I was treated with mild tolerance and underwhelming interest... and in almost everyone I was steered away from the road bike I said I wanted toward a fitness bike (nothing wrong with them - just not what I was looking for. They didn't seem interested in my goals, or where I would be riding. THEN I FOUND FULL CYCLE - Thank you Will for listening to what I was looking for and being willing to bring in bikes from you other location even when I said I wasn't sure I was ready to buy. Or for fitting me in for a tune up when your online booking tool showed that you BOOKED SOLID for two whole months - but I couldn't shift properly and I was worried about losing all my hard won progress being without a bike for weeks on end. And a MAJOR thanks to WILL and CARL (mechanic extraordinaire) who worked really hard to make switching my 105 - hydraulic break set-up from a kijiji find over to my other bike... IN ONE DAY. I can guarantee you - there is no bike shop in Ottawa (and I will argue anywhere) where the people care more about you as a customer, or promoting the sport of cycling who also know their stuff and are willing to answer all your questions (with patience and humor!). .... All this and lifetime tune ups on bikes you buy from them - that's heaven :D

I purchased a Norco Scene 2 in May 2022 after test driving it back to back against a Specialized Roll (different bike shop). My wife also test drove it and purchased one. The Norco Scene 2 has rejuvenated our bike riding experience and we have both logged about 1,000 km in the last two months doing short rides up to 24 km. We really appreciate that Full Cycle offers free minor adjustments on their bikes and we took each bike back after a couple of months to have them adjusted and it was great to have the work done the same day at no cost to us. The staff at this store and the St Laurent store have been outstanding to work with. ONE YEAR UPDATE (May 12, 2023) Last season we logged ~1,800 km on both bikes and both the bikes and the service have been exceptional. I reserved a spot online to have a spoke replaced on my rear wheel and a bottle holder rivnut replaced (which I assume they did under warranty since there was no charge for it). I was able to pick the bike up the next morning. Not only that, it appears they took the time to do a free tune up as well. These bikes have made bike riding enjoyable for us once again and the staff at Full Cycle have consistently provided exceptional service. Brad Scott

Working in the customer service industry myself, I don’t usually rate a business on how it handles perfect transactions, but how things are dealt with when things aren’t ideal. I curbside picked up my new Kona Dew Plus from the St.Laurent location which went as scheduled according to their website. However, that evening I noticed some play in the headset. I contacted Fullcycle by email and immediately got a response from Matti to drop by for an inspection the following morning. He invited me to the Hintonburg location because I expressed that it was closer to me. Upon arrival the bike was diagnosed and a new headset was ordered for me promptly. He scheduled me in for the following week and contacted me as promised to confirm the appointment. Everything was repaired as planned and although this was a hassle, I was actually blown away by how well I was taken care of. Which is why I decided to buy my mother a Norco Scene1 with Fullcycle the following week. Props to Matti and the team at Fullcycle, this is exactly why there are so many great reviews on Google about you guys. Keep up the fantastic work!

March 2022: Had a bike mishap last week. A landscaping crew mangled my bike while it was parked in the sidewalk. I took it to Full Cycle. They helped me deal with the situation. They took photos, wrote up a detailed assessment of damage and costs, offered an assessment of what an equivalent bike would cost, and did this all at no cost. They didn't have anything equivalent in stock and actually pointed me to a bike at MEC that I ended up getting so I won't miss the season. Incredibly generous and supportive service in dealing with a rough situation. Could not have appreciated it more. I did end up buying a new bike for my daughter through all of this and they were helpful as always with that too. Gotta love and support our local bike shops! I was so lucky to find you guys. This summer I purchased several bike items that were unavailable or exorbitant price at other shops Recently and sadly enough my bicycle needed some serious repair due a choice I had to make. Basically getting hit by several cars who decide to increase their speed as I was crossing Riverside dr / RA Center or jump the curb. I chose the curb. I was fine but the bike needed a new derailleur/ chain / brakes / back wheel and more. At the Parkdale location, I dealt with Will and Nic mostly and online was Stephen and more. These employees were superb beyond anything. Nic thank you for being so patient, you have an outstanding attention to details and you are a great bicycle mechanic. So impressed with the service I received at Full Cycle. I went for a ride on Monday and had a very squeaky (suspected) bottom bracket. I called Full Cycle and spoke with Will. I explained my problem, what I had checked etc, he agreed it was likely a bottom bracket issue and to send an email to orders@ for a special order. I sent the email and received a reply from Matti who had already spoken to Will and special ordered me the bottom bracket. It arrived Wednesday, they took my bike in on Thursday, serviced it, and Carl also noticed my bearings were shot on my bottom pivot links, he gave me a call and replaced them. I picked up my bike today (Friday) ready to ride, no squeaks. So happy with the all round service from all the people working there, the turnaround time was amazing and the price was more than just. I love dropping by Full Cycle as they always great every customer with a smile, welcome anyone, and take the time to provide excellent service. They are my go-to local bike shop. Solid friendly, patient, technically strong, good people. Helen is always happy to see any customer come in. Will is one of the kindest guys in the bike business. Carl and Nic are some of the best mechanics in the city. And sorry for not mentioning all the other staff who are also stellar! Darryl, Phil, Matti, Jamie, Dani, and more. They also go out of their way to help other local bike shops as we have so many in the city.

I live in Brockville now but had gone to full cycle when I lived in westboro. I had asked if I could drop the bike off for repair and arrange to pick it up within a week when I was back in Ottawa. They said it shouldn't be a problem. When I brought it in yesterday they said they had time now and after assessing the problem they said to go grab a coffee and they would call me. It was ready within an hour and repair was reasonably priced. Great service. Thank you very much.

Amazing shop and employees. Whether you're new, just learning, or experimenting. This is the best bike shop i have ever been too. They don't judge if you're buying a strange mix-match part. The store has an open door, even during Covid. Just walk in and say what's up, they will help you find what you may want or need. This shop is encouraging to new cyclists and mtb'ers. Never feel unwelcomed again. I can promise that, I have social anxiety.

Very impressed with these lads. I brought in a used fatbike for service. The mechanics found several loose parts and problems, and they used great judgement in proactively proceeding with small fixes. They even raided their spare parts bin to slash my bill (as requested). Some other local shops focus more on pricey carbon, but I need winter repairs without breaking the bank. I'll be keeping Full Cycle as my MTB shop.

I’ve visited their Hamilton Ave shop several times and had great service. First visit was to have an older bike serviced. The second was to have the shifter cable replaced on my road bike. They had the cable replaced and the dérailler adjusted within a couple hours. I was very surprised and happy to be without the bike for several hours instead of days. They are definitely my goto bike shop from now on.

Went for a tuneup. They did that, replaced the brakes, cleaned the drive-train, etc. They did a good job and they did they work they said they would. Also they were friendly. One area of improvement would be to ensure they take the time to explain how the extra work being proposed would impact the final price. Still did a good job so I will not use that as a reason to go down to 4 stars.

I've been going to the Full Cycle Hintonburg location pretty often to get parts and minor repairs for a covid-19 bike restoration project. Everyone there was super nice and helpful; they even had many parts and tools that other bike shops didn't have during my search. These guys are for sure my new favourite bike shop in the area.

I went to Full Cycle yesterday with a broken spoke on the wheel that I'd purchased there and the lovely gentleman replace the spoke at no charge along with a pleasant mannerism. I'll definitely buy my next bike there. They have some amazing bikes; kona, norco, and others; even electric bikes. Thanks so much for the great service.

Been here a couple times to pick up online orders. The staff are always very friendly and take time to help you get what you need. I blew my tire, ran over a screw, and no one could help me except this store! I was so thankful and grateful. I have an electric bike and they were able to fix my tire when no one eles was able! They are gold. You can order pretty much anything and get it pretty fast. They will also assist you in a friendly manner on most of your issues (from low level ones to epic "I need custom wheelset with X Y Z" ones. From cheap to super expensive, you can do it all there =D.

Not impressed with the level of customer service. I spent 80 dollars on handle bar grips and I was given attitude when I asked for a screwdriver. Wanted me to buy one for $16. Not very helpful guys..

Great shop, quality service. Helped me out with a last minute issue right before closing and barely charged me for it. Saw them do the same for a family with kids and a jammed brake. Classy people!
