I'm proud to have FMC part of the Nashville fabric and hope that it continues for a long long time. Ben and Stacey Dixon are exceptional people and want to spread the love of horror, tattoos / piercing and music from their wonderful spot in Hermitage, TN. Someday I hope to have Ben in a more candid setting where I can pick his brain on how he got this started. The Courtyard Theater used to be an eight screen theater that screened new release films from 1988-2001. On September 23, 2016 Ben and Stacey executed on a dream that most of us have but don't have the funding, experience or want the risk of doing. Since then this place has been a haven for horror, cult and fans or revival cinema to go, relax and enjoy the various films, events and lifestyle that FMC caters to. On occasions the Plex will host Q&A's with actors, filmmakers and extended team of films for experiential special events that always are entertaining. This vintage cinema had a plan. Ben and Stacey developed their own haunted house that takes up a good portion of the cinema in the other screening rooms of the building keeping one screen and auditorium for film screenings. The other half of the building is a high end tattoo and piercing shop that provides artists with different styles of tattoo skills depending on what the client would like. The entire interior of the building is a time capsule that is loaded with horror memorabilia including vintage 27 x41 one sheets, signed artifacts, cardboard cut outs, video games and action figures in every direction. Annually Ben and Stacey put on the Full Moon Tattoo and Horror Convention during Easter weekend. As you can see these folks are passionate, humble and personable to bring you the best macabre experience in the Southeast. Thank you for all you do. We all appreciate you weather you are told or not. This is a haven and a home for many including myself.

The concept of this place is way better than the actual experience. First off let me say the staff are awesome, however there are a lot of things that need improving. First, the food is sub par. Not quite Cracker Barrel and a little less Mcdonalds with runny eggs and stale popcorn. Secondly, the furnishings are outdated which might add to the charm of an old theatre but in this case the theatre itself and furnishings haven't been properly restored. Some examples: the dinning chairs in the theatre are very cheap and cause back- side pain after sitting for an hour, and my chair smelled like a cigar. Another example is the floors are not lit or reflector taped to highlight stair drops. We were warned of the drop, however I saw several people stumble down these drops. The decor is centered around a halloween type theme, while it plays to the name of the theatre it didn't fit the genre we were there for. The bathrooms are clean but things like non functioning stall locks with only one stall functioning and sink malfunctions made for a bad experience. I enjoyed the movie showing though because I love film but the accommodations are sorely in need of improvement. At first glance this seems like a good deal $22 for dinner and a movie with popcorn included, but with bad food, stale popcorn, rickety chairs, and a much needed proper update it really is not. If I were a teenager or young adult I might appreciate this place a little more especially during Halloween but as an older adult I'm a little more picky from necessity. I'd like to add that the staff was extremely nice and I hated leaving a bad review and will definitely change this if this establishment is properly updated.

Recently visited this amazing space over the weekend for the first time, and I LOVE it. It’s such a wonderful place to watch amazing movies in a truly fun atmosphere. Chef Rick chatted with us for quite a while before we went into the theater and he is absolutely the coolest. Plus, his food!!! **If you are able to get the dinner and movie package, I’d suggest it, because we devoured our dinner before the movie and even asked the chef about his recipe (which he was super friendly and shared with us). It’s well worth the price to buy the movie ticket AND the dinner (plus bottomless soft drinks and popcorn!) in my opinion. This place is full of kind, awesome people and their movie selection can’t be beat. I’m so happy we found it and that we get to go as often as we can make it happen.

Very cool little movie theatre. Tons of cool props and decorations as you walk in. If you're a fan of horror movies this place is for you! They have multiple horror movie showings on Friday's typically and the movies only cost $7 per showing. They show alot of horror classic and they offer dinner and a movie for $22. The owner is kind and down to earth and offers good service. They also have a tattoo parlor called "lone wolf tattoo" if you're into that kind of thing, I thought that was pretty interesting. From time to time they also have events that you can purchase tickets for like conventions with guests and a haunted house attraction! This place is worth a shot to go too if you're into classic horror or want a nice environment to watch some fun movies.

My brother invited me to go see Indiana Jones tonight. Loved the experience. The employees are very nice and courteous. The atmosphere is amazing especially if you like slasher movies like myself. Very clean and plenty of hand sanitizer around. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Almost forgot to mention the prices are GREAT. Check them out. But please save me a spot on the couch!

  • Mark Minchey

Great spot to catch classics! A focus on horror/suspense, but other great old movies as well. Admission and concessions are wallet friendly, with free refills on the treats! Ben and the staff are great and personable. And hey, get a tattoo in the studio if you're of the mind, and or come October, get your thrills at Slaughterhouse haunted house. A definite good time to be had!!

This place is awesome! As a hardcore horror fan, it felt like home. The owners are really nice and down to earth. They greeted us at the door, and after the movie, sent us out with an autographed poster. Wish I could have stayed for the Last House on the Left, but it was cool seeing Needful Things on the big screen. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Nashville.

  • Michy Loo

Drove from Mobile, AL with some friends! Stacy and Ben were super awesome and so nice!! I’m really excited to come back for the haunted house. Totally worth the 6 hour drive !! The dinner and movie experience was very niche and charming. I wish my city had that! I can’t wait to make a trip again and of course, Full Moon will be one of the must-go’s!

  • Elizabeth Whitfield

Perfect date night!!! Starting with the Twilight Zone while they served dinner (which was yummy), and ending with a double feature of My Bloody Valentine, and Dead and Buried. I can not recommend this enough. You can buy tickets at the door, but if you want to have dinner you need to purchase them in advance. We can't wait to go back!!

  • David Jones

Full Moon Cineplex is a wonderful environment to enjoy some of your favorite classic movies once again on the big screen. The owners and staff are wonderful, the food and drinks you cannot beat on price, and the atmosphere of memorabilia from horror and sci-fi classics is out of this world. If I could give them ten stars I would.

  • Ashley Martin

Amazing in every aspect! Leslie is one of the most passionate kind and absolutely fire at her job of piercing. I wouldn't go anywhere else and the time she spends to ensure perfection is over the top! Ben and Stacey provide Ritz Carlton service from work to Haunted House. If you haven't been you're missing out!

  • Katie Zarbock

Great little theater! I didn't know it was possible to feel nostalgia the first time I walked into a place. Saw Jaws and had the dinner--hot dog, burger and potato salad for the 4th of July theme. Food was great, staff was great, drinks were ice cold and the crowd was awesome! Definitely coming back.

  • L4ffing Dogg

This is a great business run by fantastic people. The have great movie memorabilia. The social distancing practices included the a temperature check on entry and required facial covering. Where else can horror movie buffs and tattoo fans share the same space. I always enjoy the welcoming atmosphere.

  • Shoebox Poet

This place is awesome because they had a midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show with actors and props. It was so cool experiencing this in person. They show other movies over the course of the month also. They have a tattoo parlor and Slaughterhouse haunted attraction. Go check it out.

  • Hick Yankee

This place is absolutely unique - and a great culture. Seems like we are all always running into folks we know in the lobby or having a smoke out front - often with the owners. Go during October - awesome events, fun house etc with a great metal grunge and great campy 80s vibe

  • Ryan Strange

What a trip!! Got to see a movie I hadn't seen in a theater in 25 years. These kats are a class act through and through. Also, any place that has old horror movies, haunted house, tattoos, and Star Wars figures for sale on the wall... my kinda place!!!

  • Vince Patterson

We drove a little over an hour to see this gem. Easily one of the best experiences. Movie quality was top notch for being a 1980’s film, staff was super friendly and atmosphere was perfect. Make sure to get there early because it was a full house!

  • Mary Nunaley

Dinner and a movie at a funky horror themed theater was the best. Dinner was salad, spaghetti, and an amazing cheesy garlic bread. Service was friendly. Seating is a mix of tables and regular theater style. Watching Twilight Zone was a bonus.

  • Penny Wright

This is an amazing place to take the family on the weekends to watch classic movies and enjoy some good old laughter and fun grab you a big container of popcorn and a soda and enjoy going back in time with the types of Classics that they show

  • Tonyetta Bombetta

Love this place! I would go every weekend if it was possible. Seeing horror classics on the big screen like they were meant to be seen is incredible! Plus the staff are the best - literally some of the nicest people you’ll meet in Nashville.

  • Rachel Saker

This is the coolest little spot in Nashville! Can't believe I didn't know about it sooner. Our friends rented out a screening room for an entire evening, and we had an excellent time. Can't wait to go back for some spookies and scaries!

  • Boar Lords

We love this place! Hands down one of the best things in TN. The owners are cool as all get out and provide a truly entertaining experience. One of the best kept secrets in Nashville. I don't see it staying that way. Go get you some!

  • Nicholas Wiles

Where else in Nashville can you go to experience something like this? I loved every moment I was there and to see movies like this that haven't been in theaters for years. I just wish that they were open more nights during the week.

  • Debbie Schneider

I have been there several times, and every time I have enjoyed it. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, the food is fantastic, and watching those old movies with other people in a theater is so much fun.

  • Pam Welker

It was my first time there, the food was great, the entertainment was excellent and the staff was fantastic. I will be going back in December with my daughter Leslie, it was really a great night out.

This is a unique theater experience. It's the closest you will get in Nashville TN to the Grindhouse experience. A true Nashville natural resource . Stacey and Ben Dixon are 5+ managers.
