What century does this company think we are living in? Here is the conversation line. In-Store Clerk: For the lumber, you can go outside to the guy standing by the hut . (Because you can't check the lumber alone, like you would at Home Depot or Lowe's) Hut clerk: I can show you the lumber you're looking for, I don't know the prices, they don't tell us the prices. You go back inside the store and give this item number to the cashier and tell him how many you need. (Like you can't pick the lumber you want, yourself like at Home Depot or Lowe's) I went to the cashier and the price of the lumber was well above Home Depot prices. More or less that's how they used to do business in the 1950s. They might be thinking, it's a personalized service. Another reason their shopping mentality is outdated because they are closed on Sundays. Home improvement stores are the busiest on the weekend. Who has time for home improvement during the week? Oh yeah the people whose professions are home improvement. It was nearly empty inside the store shelves, there was no customers inside and prices are somewhere around Lowe's and HM prices, even worse, most products have just only one option. Going here was a huge waste of time. They only have about 20 parking spot available and most were empty.

We worked with Ernest Morgan on acquiring the supplies needed for our privacy fence. We gave him measurements and ideas on how we wanted it to look. He let us know exactly what we needed from the concrete, posts, pickets, to screws and provided us a full and accurate quote. He even let us know when a new pallet of pickets and posts came in so we could keep them bound until we were ready to install to reduce warping. Delivery was on time and we were given a call as to what time they would be there so we could be there to receive the delivery. Not only were the fencing materials beautiful, they went up easily and we had plenty to do the job needed. Now we're speaking with him about the rolling gate equipment which will save us space in our yard. The fence provides us privacy as well as beautifying our home making it look more elegant. We couldn't be more pleased with the customer service, knowledge base and products we received. We are definitely calling Mr. Morgan with our next projects. I will post the finished fence once the stains and gate are completed. P.S. We have received many compliments so far on the fence. :)

To whom it may concern: Today I drove to Guadalupe Lumber Company located on Rigsby Rd. I needed to purchase 6-2 by 4's for my full size bed. I was 1st instructed to pay up front b4 receiving my lumber. Then I was instructed to go cut the my lumber myself! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE! I walked out without purchasing anything. Hardly any merchandise there either! Since I was in the area by Guadalupe Lumber, this was the only reason why I had stopped at Guadalupe Lumber 1st. I decided to go back to my favorite lumber location, Cobb's Lumber Company on N. New Braunfels St on the East side. Mr. Cobb's family owned business are fabulous & awesome. Mr. Cobb's personally took care of me. Mr. Cobb's cut my lumber needed by himself. Now I see why Guadalupe Lumber is going out of business. Location on Pleasanton Rd. has allready gone under, closed permanently. I'm more than sure Guadalupe Lumber on Rigsby Rd. Is next! Be careful going to this business.

Never in my life have had a rude cashier. She screamed at me to say she was at another counter...then she was asking the manager why she didn't get a paycheck and they told her it was going to be in the mail. Then she answer him by telling him her mother gets the mail and she never looks at it. Then when the other manager came to override for a return, the cashier got on her phone and was checking to see if anyone has text her....so I had to wait for my refund until she was ready to put down her phone...that I self was rude since she should of taken of my return first...then she didn't staple my 2 receipts together and it bothered her to staple both of my receipts..this cashier needs to learn manners and keep her phone in her purse...apparently she has too much time on her hands....

Horrible customer service. Hopefully she wasn't a manager. Went in to look for a mailbox, found them but no posts to be found. Got an employee to ask and he went to the front register and spoke to whom looked like a manager and she said "they need to look for them". With an ugly look on her face and attitude. Not getting my business!! Horrible customer service and hopefully she wasn't the manager. Definitely in the wrong line of business or she just needs to go home and come back in a better mood.

When a store post on its door and website it is open until 6pm. I expect to be able to walk in the door at 5:57pm. I frequently plan my estimated arrival time and if Google tells me I can make it before closing time then hotdog! I expect service. So I'm left driving down to the Depot or Lowe's when I should have went straight there in the first place. I went there because I live down the road and my grandfather goes there. Guadelupe....por que!?

On Saturday May 22, 2021 I went into the store for some prices on lumber for a shed im having built and I was give the most welcoming customer service by one of their employees Ernest Morgan. He was so patient and gave me prices and estaminets on how much wood and other supplies I would need. I would definitely return for supplies for my future projects. Thank you again Earnest Morgan for you help and great customer service.

I have been a customer for a few years, but today I heard one of the cashier's tell the other that the Store Manager was arrested and in jail for DWI again! I was shocked at how casual they were about it. The one cashier was rude and the other on the phone. My service was great with the manager of the yard, but the store has a lot of work to do.

Although the inventory was low my review is based on the exceptional customer service I received from Mr. Morgan and another associate. I showed up extremely close to closing but was still given time to make my purchase. They were professional and offered knowledgeable advice for my project. It's rare nowadays to receive A1 service. Keep it up!

I seriously don’t know how these people stay in business. Do not waste your time calling to see if they have something. It’s automated and will have you chasing your tail with invalid options that don’t exist. Just call or go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and save yourself the aggravation.

Very Bad customer service all i wanted was some Paint color matched and shaken up instead they were to concerned about moving air conditioners the employees are rude and the cashiers are even more ruder I used to like to go to this place because of the convenience but no more.

Been there 3 times for different stuff and each time they didn't have what I was looking for. Went in today and asked were the HVAC area is at and the lady said " speak english " to me as if I was the one confused. It was at that point I remembered why I try not to go there.

Love this store. Has a great selection of products and most of the time cheaper than Lowes or Home Depot. I love that they are close and within the neighborhood. Only downside, they are closed on Sundays and at 5pm during weekdays. Other than that, I love shopping here!

Price gouging plumbing supplies. I'll never return to that store. $4.89 for a 3/4 inch pvc ''T'. Usually 99 cents. People all over town are trying to find plumbing supplies due to broken pipes from the freeze. These people are the lowest of low lifes for price gouging.

Shelves in this store have been picked over for two years now. Does not have that much inventory. Are they closing? Blamed huricane Harvey for not being able to get supplies. Mgmt. Should have found another supplier. Losing a lot of business.

Store Mgr is rude. Cashiers are rude. Spoke with another mgr. who stated he was aware of the situation. He was trying to fix it and had already spoken to a couple of his problem employees. So unfortunate these people aren't more cordial.

Is this place going out of business? Shelves are half full a waste of time, I'll have better luck looking in a dumpster! Staff was OK other than they follow you around like elephants don't worry you didn't grow a tail suddenly.

Warning: Store closes 5 minutes early! No last minute shoppers! If you are still shopping, they will tell you must make purchase before close time or you will be kicked out! Better off at big box stores!

To buy a storm door & to deliver. Deliver only $300 + of products + delivery fee. Co. Policy should have something for disabled people to service their needs, It seems not at this store. Not surprised.

A/c broken :-( on my last trip, but great little hardware store. With amazing staff. I like shopping here because it's a small company. I've seen several smaller hardware stores close down.

Customer service was nice and knowledgeable. I had a vague description of what I needed and the staff member knew! The location is not convenient but the staff and price is worth the trip.

An employee by the name if Lesa so very helpful a people person. Very attentive and knowledgeable of all merchandise. Definitely will return to do business at this location. Thank you.

They were out of stock on what we needed but Morgan went above and beyond customer service. If they get the merchandise in, we will check back with the store and we can pick it up.

I work 7 days a week no days off and Guadalupe lumber is closed on Sundays your suppose to support your local businesses...how can you when they are closed on sundays

Empty shelves just went in for a 4 pack of 12x12 plastic drop cloths and they look at me like I'm retarded and don't know what I'm talking about I'm never returning

Their inventory is too low, they almost don’t have anything inside the store and their warehouse on the side is nearly empty.

Alot of the material there is over priced I got charged $20 for a bag of leveling cement where at gallos flooring it cost $10

For Some reason they did not have alot of inventory like they used to have,I was looking for shower stalls.
