Constantly been given the run around, nobody has any idea what is going on and neither do I. I placed an order 6 weeks ago through the furniture department for spare parts, sent photos through of the parts I needed via sms and all was confirmed. 2 weeks later on the 10th of october I spoke to another consultant who confirmed my order was placed also and both persons had told me it was okay to pay for it when I picked it up even though I offered to come pay a deposit or the full amount, amounting to a total of $225. I was told 4-5 weeks they would arrive. Today I was near the area and thought I would call to see if they had arrived, funnily enough nobody could find my order and the order apparently was never placed and they would never order parts without payment upfront. I find this so confusing when 2 different consultants had confirmed otherwise on 2 separate occasions that this was totally fine. I questioned why my order was never placed and what was going on and received nothing but attitude from the consultants as by this point I was becoming very very frustrated so I asked to speak to management and was refused and hung up on by the same lady 3 times as we entered into an apparent yelling match over the phone, eventually I got through to an apparent manager which I don't trust as the person i was speaking to originally when the order was first placed I was told was the furniture store manager, today I found out he is only a salesman. This manager then proceeded to tell me there was an order placed however the owner of the store cancelled it as there was no deposit... Weird, wouldn't you contact the customer first to find out what was going on with the order and ask a few questions first before cancelling a customer order on their behalf? But I'm still confused because I was also told no order was ever placed by the person who claimed they were the parts department 1st in charge as they would never place an order without payment. When questioning why this order was never placed nobody has taken any responsibility for the run around I have had to go through except told sorry we can't help you and be hung up on again. All I want is some spare parts for an existing customer and all I have recieved is absolutely appaling and disgusting customer service from several consultants. I have been in the customer service and sales game for over 13 years and I could not imagine speaking to a customer in the way I have been treated never mind giving them fake and incorrect information. The most unprofessional department store I have ever dealt with. You guys need to do and be better.

If I could give 20 stars I would. I have never met anyone or any company prepared to go as far as Nick and Branko did. They went far beyond what was expected. I purchased a Samsung fridge from Harvey Norman Gepps Cross in 2016. Between 2016 and 2022 the fridge was repaired 3 times. The first two times it was repaired under warranty. The third time in 2022 however it was a major failure. The evaporator in the fridge compartment leaked. This caused refrigerant gas and lubricating oil to leak in the fridge compartment. I contacted Harvey Norman who immediately placed a service call to Samsung for me. I knew the fridge was out of warranty but having had previous trouble and being the fridge cost $4800 I believed it was fair and reasonable to expect some assistance from Samsung. So here the pain and suffering began(communicating with Samsung) . Their call centre is overseas with no permissible communication with anyone in Australia. It took months of back and fro, having to start from the beginning every time I rang them. Months later I did get a call from a service person in Australia who’s attitude was one of non compassion and had great pleasure in telling me my claim was denied and it was fair and reasonable for a nearly $5000 fridge to only last 5 years. (Special call out to Sarah from Samsung service, seems like you love your job ) Having no alternative I paid $700 and had my fridge repaired. Though the fridge then operated fine, the gas and oil contaminated the cabinet causing a terrible odour and making the ice maker and water dispenser inoperative due to a bad taste. Only sealed food could be stored in the fridge, any opened food had to be stored elsewhere. I decided to engage a lawyer as I believed this was morally unfair. The lawyer communicated with Samsung and Harvey Norman Gepps Cross. Within no time Nick rang me and was extremely (understatement) apologetic for the trouble we have had. There was no hesitation in offering a satisfactory resolution, in fact he went far beyond what I would have imagined. In no time Nick and Branko had organised a new replacement fridge to be delivered and extra compensation. I have now found a retailer for life, no other will come close. If only Samsung could take a leaf out of Harvey Norman’s business ethics and understand how to treat customers. Seems Samsung only has short vision. Happy to take our money but no customer care. Thanks again Harvey Norman Gepps Cross you could not have done anymore if you tried.

Super Stay Away From Furniture Department. Prices are doubble than other haevry Norman. Examples leman Lou 3Ee/ fab ebony in Harvey Norman gepps cross they selling as $2799.00 this same recliner couch at Marrion Harvey Norman selling as $1799.00 it's almost saved $1000.00 this is only one example. It's many items are cheaper at Marrion Harvey Norman Rugged at Marrion Harvery Norman always 50 % or 40% but Gepps cross only give you 10% off such ripp off gepps cross store. I never ever buy with tham. They are charging too much. Another Dylan Lou 3 + cha lhf/ villa at gepps cross 3999.00 but sane this one at Marine Harvey Norman $3399.00 it's big diffrence I will never buy anything at Gepps cross. Many customers had a bad experience at gepps cross store. Also customers service is very bad. One of staff Preevene he just only care about his sales. He told me we have price match policy one year and now he is lying so never trust him. Always ask them to in written. Never trust tham. I had a one of the worst experiences from this store. I will stay away from this store. It's too Expensive than other harvey Norman stores. I will also attach proof of receipt from Marrion Store. Also many Customer told me same thing Gepps Cross prices are Higher than Other Gepps cross Store. Also salsman Praavine why telling to consumer price match for one year. He is telling to consumer wrong information to get hos more sales so he get more commission. This is misleading sales techniques to sales. I will never trust and never recommend GeppsX cross harvey Norman to anyone. Marrion Harvey Norman is one of grete prices and more varieties compare to GeppsX cross. I will give tham Negetive Points. Stay Away...Stay Away.. Stay Away...

I would like give none star if possible. I bought a queen size bed and west super firm mattress on 17th of September. Cost me $2899. They did delivery on 23rd of September. I found I received faulty mattress when they delivered to my house. The mattress is dirty. The delivery guy also found this. He took picture immediately and reported. Also he told me Harvey Norman will contact me shortly. I waited three days, no one contact me. Then I called them and reported this problem. Finally i received email from customer service team who’s name is Danielle Ormerod. She asked me to send her some pictures of mattress. Next day she emailed me back says she will send someone come to my house to clean. I refused because it need to be very strict for the hygiene requirements for the mattress . I called Danielle she keeps tell me this under Australia consumer law. All my colleagues are can’t stand it. One of them helped me to call Danielle. English is my second language, they thought might I didn’t understand. But the answer from her is same. Then no one contact me anymore. Because I need use this mattress, so I email them agreeed to clean. Someone from cleaning company rang me but they only work from 9.00-4.00pm weekdays. I don’t have any paid leave left. I received faulty mattress and I couldn’t take unpaid leave stay at home to waiting they come to clean. Ok, then no one replies me whatever I sent email to them to report this. Until now this problem still haven’t solved. How disappointed with this. Even outside the mattress package is very dirty. It seems come from dump. This is worst experience with Harvey Norman. The picture already been cleaned some from outside the package.

Harvey Norman GeppsX stores has given me a very bad experience. Unresponsive customer support and bedding departments staff. I bought nearly 15K furniture from this store. They send me home music theatre system furniture all loose small parts which one I spent almost three days to install and for other furniture which one I bought from this store king bed frame, dressing table three bedside table, two single king bed frames and one King bed from this store. They sent me all these loose parts for install myself even some parts were missing from some of the cartons which one I had to buy from bunning for myself. The top of the worsts thing still I never got missed one carton from them for my king bed frame. I am still waiting??? It’s has been almost three months after placed order with them. I visited few time regarding this issue but looks like they don’t care. Even not giving me call back for update my missed consignments for bed parts. For buying quality furniture I used to recommend Harvey Norman since last 15 years but after this incident I decided to not buy from Harvey Norman GeppsX anymore. I found these people are big cheater and time wasters. I feel like I waste my money and time with them.

This review relates to the furniture franchise only. At first it seems that the furniture is good value and backed by a reputable company, until something goes wrong and they refuse to accept their responsibility for warranties and promises made by the salesmen. Expect to be pressured into paying extra for an extended warranty which doesn’t cover anything except accidental damage. Don’t believe the claims about features of the products. Don’t believe the stories from the salesmen about what is covered by warranty. Ask to see proof that the electric operated couch is actually approved for sale in Australia and most of all prepare for the rude and unhelpful and misleading treatment if you try to make a warranty claim Edit... Don't believe the answer to this review. that says to contact support and they will sort it all out. I had already done that and what they do is pass the complaint on to the same people you are complaining about, who, of course just deny everything and give more incorrect information. Interestingly their answer to this review was done after they had already contacted me and told me they wouldnt do anything to fix my complaints.

I am giving one star rating to you guys because of your poor communication. I ordered a fridge on 06/02/2022 @your store and your one the staff member mentioned to me this specific fridge not available on this store but it’s available On another store and we can do the delivery on Wednesday 09/02/2022. I took a day off from my work special for the delivery I waited for the delivery whole day and I contact customer service team around 4pm. They mentioned me our deliver is modified we can do on Thursday and after couple of minutes they inform me we can only do the delivery on Friday. The customer service team member mentioned to me if you are unable to receive the delivery on Friday then you can go to the store and select another fridge or either we can refund the money. In the a whole day no email, no text message and no phone regarding my fridge delivery date modification. In this scenario you can see how poor is your communication and customer service. If something is not available or you cannot make a delivery on time due to the stuff unavailability at least inform to the customer.

Worst online and in store service when ordering online. My mother had to wait more than 3 hours for 5 days straight for them to release an order after sending multiple emails to pick an alternate person for pickup. They never got back to myself or didn’t even bother calling or emailing back. Absolutely disgusting customer service. My disabled mother was left without a phone for 10 days after speaking to the manager in charge that did not even show any empathy or care and did not bother to help one but and follow up , no responsibility. I got offered a measly $30 voucher which I haven’t even received yet by email for the trouble caused. Since day of purchase the Phone overheats, operating system is clunky. Worst phone to buy, stay away from Samsung as after sales care is pathetic, phone is not even 30 days old and they require to take it away for 10 Days instead of getting a return authority and replacing the product. A better system is required for faulty products and customer care. Will not be spending my money where my moneys is not deserved.

Headset dilema... I went to HN to buy a headset for my new phone I needed for work from home. Sales person in that area gave me eye contact, was on PC, no one else around, didn't come over. Another Sale Person from a different area came over tried to help and pointed to blue tooth headset area, same first guy who was chatting to a colleague finally came over. I needed help choosing. He pointed to the most expensive Sony brand, had no pointers at all. I asked questions, he couldn't answer any of them. He would have obviously spoken to many ppl working from home, but hasn't retained any knowledge. Very disappointed with him ignoring me once I had chosen my headset and said to go to the counter ... yet he said once I choose I needed to be walked over to counter for security because things are stolen ...He was a cluts, and shouldn't be in a Customer Service role.

Hi gays be careful buying goods from harvey Norman Gepps Cross we bought a brand new couch ️ after saving and working hard when they delivered the couch was damaged i went back to harvey to explain the situation the staff member have been very rude to me didn’t give the new one and they talked with very rudely they have sent someone to repair the couch the repairer come and damaged the other part of it as well and they are sending another repairer to repair it again Please make sure you gays don’t get in to trouble like this as the staff member are hopeless they wont give you money back or give you the new one ,they sailing their damaged couches and then after that telling to make complaint on court they telling me we have got the right to give you the damaged ones and then repair them they said we got the right by consumer law

We bought a fridge & electric fireplace and was told it would be delivered on a Thursday afternoon, delivery arrived fridge only they told us that's all that was on their list when we rang Harvey Norman Gepps Cross we were told that courier services forgot to pick it up, it was on their list. Someone is telling lies. Paid for install which was unpacked & plugged in, what a waste of money it wasn't even set level. Next courier for our fireplace is Tuesday sometime could be day could be afternoon nothing confirmed. Staff were excellent in selling but that is as far as it goes. Will not buy large items again only items we can take with us, very unreliable delivery service. Delivery of fireplace should have been later same day or next day not the following week where we have to waste another day waiting on a delivery. Not Happy

Bought Vacuum few weeks ago, was advised its coming from city store, was very happy with that, the vacuum arrived in store, got a call to pick it up, when i went to pick up the Vacuum, was advised they have 1 in stock and they will bring it out for me, waited and waited for nearly 45 minutes, then got an answer that the vacuum has since been sold to another customer, not even a single phone call to tell me that the vacuum is not in store after the first call to pick it up. Was advised to pick it up from Munno Para store. Spoke to manager there in the department, very rude person and pathetic service received by the department manager. Will be calling up head office to get this fixed and report bad experience.

Bought a new laptop today with Sav and previously a fridge Both great experiences Awesome deals and a general aim to deliver the best result for their customers. I'm very happy with my purchase, got much more than I bargained for. Saved me lots of money setting up antivirus security and Microsoft office subscriptions for me Cost much less than me handling it myself later on Highly recommend, I won't go anywhere else now. If they stock it, I'll try them first...would recommend everyone at least stop in once and talk to the staff. They'll help, not to mention how easy it is to get assistance. Everywhere in store U go, someone will find U and help right away with no pressure if U prefer to browse alone.

Staff are useless. They advised they had ordered some furniture to arrive at the store, but to call before we came to make sure it was there. Two calls over two weeks, still not there. Rang again, was told it was there. Rang back to double check and was told again it was there. Arrived the following morning to collect the one in stock, was told again it was in stock, then suddenly it wasn't because it had "been allocated". Ordered one AGAIN, and was told it'd be 4-6 weeks. No apologies from staff for their stuff up or inconvenience, just one staff member trying to re-iterate he hadn't been there for a week, trying to shift the blame. One star given because it wouldn't let me give a minus.

These guys will let you pay in full for an item, sit on your money for months and then when its time to get everything delivered tell you they dont have what you ordered but offer you something completely different and unsuitable and somehow wonder why you may not be happy with that? Then when you ask for a refund, they will tell you you have to go to another store because they have reached their refund limit for the day on the eftpos machine. At that other store they will then ask you to move to a 3rd eftpos machine because the second one also has reached its refund limit for the day (what does that tell you....) with so many good operators in SA dont waste your time with this one

Spent $160 on a supreme mattress protector that doesn't fit properly. I tried to swap it over as I only put it on the bed and took it straight of and was told I cannot change my mind. I explained that I wasn't changing my mind and that if you buy a product you expect it to fit properly. Was told no I changed my mind. I had to go and purchase another protector to use. Kris is rude and considering the product was not used it is very poor that they sell items that don't actually fit. It is a long single so not a standard size and I had to pay extra to purchase this size. So really I paid $160 for not being able to use the product.

I checked their website and it showed that they are operating. Arrived to the store to realize that not all sections are open. I was told at the customer service desk, that due to “legislation” the electronics section is closed, but not the rest of the store!!!! Why this information is not on your website? I pushed myself to go to the store. I stopped buying anything from HN after the proposal of the overseas online taxes. I should have listened to myself from the start. The guy said they will be open tomorrow. I replied back, why would I do that to myself, I will go to a proper store who will appreciate their customers time.

Very dishonest. My parents bought a lounge from there, and the one delivered was very similar, but not as good. My parents had to go back into the store to reexamine and photograph the demo model to prove it's different to the one that was delivered (eg leather upholstery is much lower quality). Now they're 'sorting it out with the manufacturer', problem first reported 5 weeks ago and still no end in sight. For Harvey Norman to allow this to happen indicates their quality control isn't there. I strongly suggest you photograph the demo furniture you think you're getting and compare it to what they deliver.

The computer area is usually pretty good. However I had an experience where a staff member out and out lied to me. I had over a year left on my Trend and he offered me a deal for another 3 years of Trend and said I could get $50 cashback. He said I could just put it in a drawer until I was due to renew. However the $50 cashback required me to activate immediately to get the cash back. I had to spend hours chatting with Trend Micro who thankfully fixed it for me and cleaned up the Harvey Norman staff member's mess. I will certainly be very careful who I speak to and listen to again at that store.

In October of 2020 my husband and I purchased a washer, refrigerator and Dyson vacuum with assistance from one of the sales associates, Bill. Bill was so incredibly helpful. We walked in feeling quite overwhelmed by the selection and after giving him a few criteria to go off of Bill narrowed it down swiftly for us. He really knew his stuff! Delivery and set-up were seamless as well. Communication with the delivery truck was great and the friendly delivery guys got the job done quickly and efficiently! Overall a great shopping experience that helped make a stressful move a bit easier.

I always bought at The Good Guys in the past, they were hard to beat on service & price, THEN, JB HiFi bought them out & service went out the windows... I then tried Harvey Norman Electrical & their service was outstanding while their prices pretty good... I have gone on multiple occasions & made multiple purchases & said service never diminished, we were always approached quickly by attentive staff & nothing appeared too much trouble, very impressed by their consistency... we always go back & without any hesitation would recommend this store, cheers...

I was in-store yesterday 9/2/23’ I purchased an LG vacuum cleaner 12 months ago and I had a problem with it recently. I went to store with my daughter. The lady from LG and chap from Samsung . We’re incredibly helpful ,and courteous . Preserving to work out the problem for us. I failed to get their names but their after sales service, especially the lady was wonderful I would recommend this store to anyone. I highly recommend Anne's services! She saw me trying out mattresses and helped to show me that the ones I thought I preferred were too soft and actually misaligned my spine (I am a side sleeper). She steered me over to firmer mattresses and demonstrated how much better my sleeping posture was with them. I do sometimes get lower back pain, so I'm really grateful for Anne's thoughtfulness. She was very fun to talk to and ended up saving me a few dollars in the end. Thank you Anne!

I personally did not have a very good experience I went to grab a click and collect and the 2 workers I spoke to where extremely rude and kept telling to me to go all over the store as I did not have a car to go get my click and collect even though it said I could grab it in store but they told me the inside was also outside, after waiting for 10 minutes with no proper help and with rude customer service I managed to find a way to go grab my order Absolutely disgraceful

Great range but had a bad experience with one of the sales assistants. Was trying to buy a washing machine on a budget was shown 3 machines on Black Friday sales. When I asked if she would be willing to go any lower she cut me off and said no and moved onto another machine. That was enough for me to take my business elsewhere. I've worked in retail for half of my life and understand Black Friday can be busy and tiring but I did not appreciate her attitude one bit.

Massive thanks to Harvey Norman Gepps Cross. Without going into detail we were going to be out of pocket $1100 dollars to replace our fridge even though we had bought the extra care replacement warranty. We were not prepared to fork out the extra and were just going to buy a much cheaper and smaller fridge. ☹️ Thanks to Nick (The Boss) down there, because we are now getting an identical replacement. Excellent customer service.

I bought a smart tv that had an software issue and they replaced it within the day! Great shopping experience with Jamie in the bedding department. He's usually in the clearance store but today I met him in the bedding department and was a pleasure negotiating with. Full of life and happy guy that makes all the difference in shopping. He's happy to help with questions and willingness to listen to what the customer wants is what separates him from all the other salespeople.

Big store with a lot of stock to choose from. Plenty of staff available the second you step foot inside. Didn't like overhearing KPI and targets talk between staff. Also not a fan of particular staff member who chimed in with a "did I hear you mention...because let me show you this" in a conversation I was having with my partner, not them. Poor form under the guise of trying to be helpful.

The manager and customer services rep in the electronics / TV section were both SO helpful and went out of their way to ensure I was able to secure the perfect Samsung frame bezel which was out of stock in most places. I had mucked them around with ordering the wrong one and they were happy to exchange and sort it out for me and save me another trip. Really appreciate the 5 star service !

Worst worst worst!!! We got our furniture delivered in July. At that time it was discovered that two drawers of the dresser were faulty. Harvey Norman promised to get back with FEEDBACK within ONE WEEK. Guess what. Silence………. Today on Aug 24 we came to their Gepps Cross store and the staff was very unhelpful. They have said they will get back. When? Only God knows.

I have purchased all my appliances and phones from Harvey Norman Gepps Cross over the years. They have always given great service, in particular "Kingsley", the phone manager/superviser/boss man. He is the man!, He looks after me like royalty (because I brought all my friends in to get phones too with the great specials) Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I had a Electrolux stick vacuum cleaner(seriously low quality), which was turning off intermittently from the first month I purchased that. The guy in Harvey Norman who was a return manager I guess, was so rude to me and didn't support me for guaranty. That was a finish to HarveyNorman and Electrolux for me at least. Stay away from them.

Bought a Samsung screen very cheaply half the price of other screens and the stand failed shearing off at the base. It was poor design but even though under warranty Samsung wouldn't honour the warranty for faulty product. It's obvious that the stand is not strong enough for the weight of the screen.
