I have always had a positive experience at this store. Everyone here is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The first time I came in, I was looking for a rare whiskey that I was not able to locate at any other store. Fortunately they had it! Another time I came in looking for a specific, rare, hard to find scotch. They didn't have it, but took my name and number saying they would call if they found it. Sure enough, within 24 hours they called to advise they had found a single bottle and were holding it at the store for me! I was thoroughly impressed. This afternoon, I went in to find another scotch for my husband as a present. They recommended a limited edition of Oban this time. Apparently this particular edition won some awards. I was reluctant since I don't know much about scotch, and wasn't sure if my husband would like it. The gentleman at the store understood my concern and assured me if my husband didn't like it, I could return it (yes, even after it was opened) for a refund. So I bought it. Repeatedly, the folks at this store manage to impress me with their knowledge, resourcefulness, and impeccable customer service. I highly recommend them!

Dropped by based on reviews when I was in town for a few days hoping to find a few rare whiskey. Small store in the heart of DC. Parking was a little challenging. Selection of whiskey was most definitely better than Schneider's that I visited. There were some nice ones like the Pappy, Yamazaki 18, etc. But I was disappointed with their prices. Comparing to prices I know in California, Las Vegas, New Jersey, and Texas, their prices were very high. For example a 15 year Macallan was $140 compare to $90 in Texas and around $100 elsewhere. A Pappy 12 year was $1800 compared to $1300 in New Jersey. The Yamazaki 18 was $550 compared to $350 in California. And there were other examples. I guess it's high price of doing business in DC, maybe? Well, I didn't stay long in the store and went home empty handed.

I prob would have rated this place a 3 or 4. The selection is pretty limited, which is fine but when all your cabs are $50+ that sure cuts down on possibilities for a lot of people. What brought the rating to a 2 was the staff's non-existent offer to help despite me looking at the same shelves several times. Then at check out the cashier rounded the change (in their favor). What the heck? You should only round the change in the customer's favor; never assume people don't want the proper amount of change back. The two seconds you saved avoiding pennies was a total turn off.

Consistently impressed with this place. Their location is clean, well organized, the staff genuinely friendly, as well as very knowledgeable and helpful. Also, they have great deals. They have a clearance area and I was able to snag 2 bottles of Stoley that would have been $20 each, for $10, so I bought two. It's a standard liquor store, but perfectly executed. I never knew one could be so "nice" it's almost wholesome! Anyway great people and great establishment, and conveniently located right next to Metro Center. They are my go-to liquor store when departing the office.

I walked in 10 minutes until closing and announced I needed to buy a whiskey and a cabernet sauvignon as gifts. The woman (Angie based on another review??) took the very few words I used describe what I was looking for in the price range I needed and found two amazing bottles for me. I can't speak to the whiskey (although I do know parent company and love it)...but I bought myself the same recommended cab as well...and it's exactly what I described that I like. And I think I made it out right at closing too! Truly a gem and bottle whisperer. Thank you!

Imperial Wine & Spirits is such a great store! In my experience, their prices are better than their competitors and they do an excellent job of recommending different wines and liquors based on your interest. Best of all, they support small (but delicious) brands that you won't find in bigger stores. I just picked up a bottle of FINO tequila (women-owned and Chicago based) for an exceptional price. Stop by and say hello to this group of attentive, informative, and friendly folks!

I like the people that said they have hard to find bourbon. Sure they do, but at secondary prices that are probably the highest I have ever seen. Woman at the register never acknowledged me even when I was standing right in front of her looking at the bourbons behind the register. She was more interested in her phone. Hours are also terrible. If you are looking for bourbon I suggest taking your business elsewhere.

8/27/21, visting from NY I decided to stop in looking for HENDRICKS GIN and to my surprise they had 3 selections 2 were specified as " Lunar & Orbium" The attendant commented that they come out once a year with the 2 selections and they go fast so I bought the 2 new selctions to take back to NY.

Great staff & a good selection. They offer fair prices on most items but expect to pay extra if you're looking for the more allocated/rare bottles. They have them, they'll just charge a lot for them (that's just the current market though, not their fault).

Walked in just to look and compare prices. Walked out with 3 hard to find bottles in my area. Awesome selection at even greater prices. Saved at least 25% from other stores. Owner/staff very knowledgeable in there products. I will be a returning customer.

Fair price for every wine, vodka and everything. Shop is so small but has so many options for every wine and liquor with fair price. They also do the delivery of liquor at your address. Fast liquor delivery services by Imperial wine and spirits.

These folks have great prices, but even more importantly they know their stuff! I’ve never received a bad recommendation, and they’re always friendly and happy to help out customers new and old. Definitely my favorite liquor store in town!

Best bourbon selection downtown! Many brands you cannot find elsewhere. All the local distilleries are available. They also have a few exclusive bottles for their store. Four Roses, Whistle Pig and Jeffersons.

I have ordered off of Drizly 2 times from this store after calling to confirm they have the bottles. Both orders were cancelled by the store. Why list your product on a site and not be willing to sell?
