We hired JD mover to help us move our house on 2nd of September. It was nice and smooth except we had a civil dispute in the end. The truck most likely broke the gutter and the drain pipe on the way out. The reason I say “most likely “ is we have dash cam footage showing the pipe was intact at 10:21 am before the truck came. And was broken at 12:46 pm after the truck left. Noted the pipe is 3 meters high. And the gutter clearly had a long scratch. So it’s obvious and most likely damaged by their truck. But getting refused admits their fault upon contacting them with our footage several time. Sent email with no respond. They even said possibly there is another truck gone there within the ~2h. Keep in mind this is a one way 3 units. We had to spend 600 dollars to get it fix and the moving was less than 500 dollars. And we gonna need to lodge a VCAT dispute application if we want our justice which is very annoying. BTW. Eastern community legal center and law institute of Victoria is good place to call if you want to speak with lawyers. They can refer you some. Will definitely not use their services again.

Moving is generally not a pleasant experience. You can only make it slightly better by choosing right set of people and we were lucky this time. We dealt with Eric and he was very prompt. They were on time with a 10 tonne truck with 2 people. We moved within the city and they finished the job within 5.5 hours. They were very good and literally no damage to the items. Partly thats because I had the important items bubblewrapped already. In the picture you can see they put the mat to avoid scratches to the floor. I would highly recommend JD movers.

Very happy with the service Eric provides. Pricing was clear from the beginning, no hidden fees or surprises. We had a couple of heavy items that needed to go upstairs in our new place and they transported them with care. If they saw something scratched or damaged they will let me know before loading it so there weren't any misunderstandings. They did it all in one trip, help us disassemble a Murphy bed and protected our front deck before loading everything into the truck, nothing else to say but that we are very happy with their service.

The staff contacted me on the day of the appointment and offered to arrive 45 minutes earlier, which was amazing. JD Movers offered very competitive rates. We hired the 10 tonne truck to move from Northern Suburbs to Western suburbs. We thought the job would take at least 4-5 hours but they did in 3.5 hours.
