Tim and his crew at Kerrisdale Roofing have been phenomenal in helping me replace my asphalt shingles roof. The disastrous atmospheric river event in Nov (2021) revealed a leaky roof at my place. After multiple failed attempts to temporarily patch it up myself, I figured I might as well bite the bullet and go for the nuclear option of replacing the entire roof -- the shingles only, obviously. From the moment when I first called, Tim has always been open and upfront about everything. He was initially uncertain of when he'd be able to fit my job into his schedule because of the ones he already has on hand, but he promised to get back to me, and he did. He was down-to-earth and had my interests in mind when he came for the estimate. Instead of recommending something that was fancy (and probably could have gotten him a nicer profit), he offered a recommendation that was practical while being more economical. He took the time to explain to me the features and qualities of the roof that I would be getting, and he even recommended a colour that turned out to work much better with the rest of my house instead of the plain, simple black that I had in mind. When the time came to actually install the roof, his crew was professional, friendly, and obviously cared about the quality of their work. They took the time to explain to me what was wrong with my previous roof shingles installation, and how their installation would specifically avoid those pitfalls. They were efficient with their work. They were spot on with their estimate on how long the job would take. And they did a good clean up of everything around the house when the project was finished. During the removal of the old shingles, the crew discovered that parts of my chimney and the associated flashings were in such a shape that they should really be repaired. Despite their observations and recommendations, they were never pushy about making me hire them for the additional repair work. Still, I was glad to have them help me with it, and they readily arranged to have their mason come for this at a later date. I am obviously not a roofing expert by any means, but I find the workmanship and attention to detail of both the roofing job as well as the chimney job to be excellent. And throughout the project, Tim has maintained an excellent line of communication with me -- from keeping me informed about the dates, times, and costs; notifying me of any changes in schedules, and generally being available (or get back to me in a timely manner) to answer any questions I might have, and I appreciate that. One final caveat that I am compelled to mention is the inherent uncertainty involved with weather-dependent repair projects. December to February in Vancouver is hardly the best time to work on these types of projects. Still, Tim and his crew made their best effort to plan their work around the weather, and help me get the repairs done as soon as the conditions allow. And when they were here, they wasted no time in making sure that the work goes right on schedule. I appreciate that.

We hired Kerrisdale Roofing And Drains to upgrade the drainage system as their proposed work order is the most comprehensive ones. Kai took the time to explain the issue of my current drainage system and each of the work items in his proposed quote. The crew is very professional and I am very impressed with their workmanship. They took extra care not to damage my new siding and the air cond while they had to break all the concrete around my house to install the new drainage pipe. Bruce, the foreman, takes time to explain to me the work that was done the previous day when I met up with him in the morning. I can see the crew is very proud of their work and they strive to get the job done well. When they said in the quote that they would "clean up and haul away all debris and leave premises in orderly manner", they really mean it and it is certainly above and beyond what I expected! This is certainly a company I can trust with any future work that I might need to do for roofing and drainage.

I hired the Kerrisdale team recently to fix our home up after the winter and my husband and I are absolutely amazed! As much as every company should bring an A+ attitude and work ethic to a job, it doesn't always happen. Well with Kerrisdale, they weren't short of smiles, positivity, and a fantastic end result. The owner, Kai, was there for much of the project and was great in explaining the work being done step by step. We're not too savvy in the construction department so he made us feel knowledgeable and comfortable with the process on our home! I am exceptionally impressed with the professionalism of this company. Tim came in to give me a FREE quote, knowing that it was unlikely I'd be calling them in because I was already dealing with a company that had repaired part of my drain tile system. After he spent 1.5 hours assessing the situation and explaining to me in layman's terms what needed to be done I offered to pay for his time, but he refused because free quotes is his policy. I would definitely recommend this company. Compare this to another company that wanted to charge me $350 for a quote, insisting they had to put a camera down a line that was going to be ripped out. Kim was professional. He went up on the roof to take a proper look and then discussed in detail what was necessary. The roof was done quickly and there was negligible disruption and they cleaned up the site really well. This is our third project with them - they repaired stairs and drain tiles. In all cases they communicated well and worked hard and were courteous. Quality work at a reasonable rate. Their prices weren't high and I'm glad I went with them rather than the "low ball" quote where I'm confident I wouldn't have gotten the same service or quality.

The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire! Actually, it wasn’t on fire… but it was leaking!! The roof was old and needed to be replaced. I called Kerrisdale Roofing and they quickly had someone come out to assess the situation. I was given a quote and a timeline. The job itself went smooth. They did things properly. They were prompt. They were courteous. They had awesome communication. I keep saying “they”, because from start to finish, every person on this team was absolutely amazing! My sanitary sewer line plugged during the downpour in October 2017. KR&D came to the rescue and implemented a temporary fix in very short order to allow us to continue to live in the house while they went on with the permanent fix. KR&D replaced the rotten sewer line from my house to the street and at the same time replaced the clean water line from the street to my house. I was impressed with how efficiently they did all the work in bad weather and without mechanical machinery. I am very happy to recommend KR&D.

Tim & Kim were very easy to work with. We were re-roofing my senior mom's home and they were very understanding to how the commotion may upset her. The workers were extremely respectful and polite when dealing with my mom. The yard was cleaned and all the debris was removed. The workmanship was excellent. Their are very few companies in greater Vancouver that I know of or work with that trully uphold the value of honesty, integrity and knowledge in the drainage industry. Tim re-affirms that their still are trully great companies who uphold those values and provides the in person care required for customers and contractors. Our family home in Vancouver was built in the 1920s and since the 1990s, Kerrisdale Roofing and Drains have upgraded our drainage system, mainline plumbing and various roofing projects. At the present time (2018), we have no water leaks in the basement and the roof structures are still good. We are fortunate to have this company take good care of our old home. I strongly recommend this company to anyone needing work on their roof or drain systems.
