My friend and I visited today after a long time of wanting to check out the store and walking in the doors we were so excited at the amazing selection of crystals and jewelry they had! It is truly such a beautiful store. The girl working there asked us if we needed help with anything or had any questions and seemed helpful. But we were in there for about five minutes browsing and then another customer approached the door. The store has a policy for only two customers at a time which I understand and appreciate because it’s a pretty small store. The worker then asked for a second time if we had any questions or needed any help with anything. And then several times after that during our short visit at the store. She told us someone was waiting at the door and continued to talk with us, rushing us out of the store. She said she is happy we came in and she will be happy next time we come in which seemed like she was implying it was time for us to leave. Her tone was condescending and it was not a comfortable experience. I felt a lot of pressure to hurry up and pick out what we were going to buy. My friend and I both had crystals in our hands and it was clear we were going to be purchasing stones, but our experience was cut short because there was one other person who was waiting. I understand it’s hard when there is a limit of only two people and it’s not fun for anyone to have to wait outside in the cold, but the workers priority was on the person outside who was not there for very long, and not with the two paying customers inside. She then told us not to feel rushed as we were paying, but we were already rushed to pick out our stuff and leave. It was just a very uncomfortable and anxiety inducing experience. Times are hard right now for everyone and shopping is stressful, but it is important to me in these times to support small businesses. However when the vibe is uncomfortable and we were rushed it is hard to recommend this store.

This store has a phenomenal selection at very reasonable prices and the customer service was excellent. My first visit but definitely not my last. Beads, beading supplies, jewellery, single stones, geodes, towers... It's a buffet of goodies. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and many items were marked with their healing properties in point form which I appreciate. Its a small space with a ton to look at but there was a line to get in so I made my visit count in good time while being mindful of those waiting outside in the cold. I’m sharing this bc I was oblivious until I experienced it for myself and feel the need to pass it on because its not something I've ever really had to consider before. And gear we are, a year into covid. With capacity capped it makes it more challenging in addition to line-ups, distancing, monitoring, covid cleaning and sanitizing etc.. Its alot more to manage. Now imagine how this plays out everywhere else: restaurants, grocery stores, at your mechanics etc..We are all doing the very best we can to navigate and learn as we go, all the ins and outs of the new normal, lockdowns, stay at home orders, trying to stay afloat, stay safe, support local and keep our sanity in check. Supporting each other (People, small business, local .. Everyone ) is so much more than just dropping a dime at this time in the world. Remembering that we are all in this together is integral. I love my amethyst and clear quartz crystals! Thank you for the experience and looking forward to the next time.

Went in and was excited to shop here as I had heard great things about the store and selection. However as I soon as I entered with my roommate we were admonished for apparently poor sanitizing skills and then the sales clerk proceeded to follow me around and make negative comments about me and what I could afford. My roommate tried to diffuse the situation and engage the sales clerk so that I could have a more pleasant shopping experience, however the sales clerk made that near impossible. Will not be returning as I cannot support a business that racially profiles and discriminates.

My first time going into a crystal shop and it was the best experience ever! Was shopping for a gift for my mom and I have zero knowledge on gems and crystals. I spent 1 hour in the store, didn't feel rush at all, the woman working was EXTREMELY HELPFUL, was patient with me and my millions of questions, she really listened to me and help me find the best items to gift. Ended up buying all I needed for her gift and definitively will be coming back. I have already mentioned this store to a couple of my friends, it was an amazing shopping experience!

Bought a nice ring there, but that was the only positive. The staff working was less than polite, and didn't seem to talk to me but down to me like I knew so much less than her. My friend received a phone call while in the store and the associate made comments about how my friend was being "too loud" and proceeded to roll her eyes whenever my friend spoke. Would not recommend as you can probably buy the same jewelry for a better price somewhere else and receive a positive experience as a customer.

I have removed my negative comment and review concerning kulu trading. They also have another location masala which i recently visited. My experience was positive and lovely. The desk person was amazingly friendly and very helpful. So sorry for the harsh review. I love both kulu and masala and will continue shopping there. 5 stars for them their gemstones are beautiful and their prices are the best i have seen in ottawa. Good job. Also went to kulu and service was amazing. 5 stars also.

Love this store for the unique jewelry. Pricing is higher than gem/crystal shows but, not too bad. The quality of the products are good! I've had several staff that knew the products, very friendly and good vibes. Today I had a terrible experience , the lady was incredibly rude and destroyed the peaceful vibe of the store. I actually didn't purchase anything because I didn't want her to get commission (not sure if the sales reps do there). She was also on her phone alot.

The first time I went I really enjoyed my experience and spent upwards of $70.00. The second time I went, my roommate and I had a negative experience with the cashier there. She was incredibly condescending, her energy did not feel helpful and we couldn't help but feel racially profiled inside of the store, even though I once again spent money. Wishing this business best of luck as one staff member shouldn't impact everyone but I cannot in good conscious shop here again.

My friend and I went in for our first time and we were only in there for maximum 5 mins before another customer came and was waiting outside and the cashier immediately mentioned how there is someone waiting and continued to do so until we left and she was very condescending. This shop is Wellington West's best kept secret imo when it comes to jewelry. They have a large selection of affordable jewelry, displayed in tall cases, categorized according to the gemstone. They carry crystals and gems for jewelry making supplies, and they also have quite a few impressive large crystals. If you haven't noticed this shop before, it is well worth a visit, just to admire their beautiful treasures.

I just stumbled upon this store while on a mini vacation in Ottawa. They have a wonderful selection of crystals for an avid crystal lover like me! Found so many great finds and a beautiful piece of kyanite set in silver that is moving my energy in so. many ways. I cannot wait for my next visit. Its little places like this that truly make discovering a new place worth while. Love Love Love all around.

Fantastic fair trade crystal store in Wellington West. Amazingly reasonable prices. Extensive selection of beads - different stones and styles, for any beader out there. The store also features a massive collection of genuine gems and minerals from all over the world, including Canada! The staff are very helpful, polite and welcoming. A must-go for any crystal and gemstone lover.

Tim and the staff at Kulu trading are so knowledgeable and friendly. Kulu trading is a must go to Ottawa crystal store that I find myself feeling at home and coming back to peace when life gets so crazy. I have found most of my favourite crystals I own at Kulu. Their prices are very fair and the value of the stones are exquisite. Love Love Love. Cannot recommend them enough.

my favourite stone shop by far! prices are very reasonable, everything is authentic and sold correctly (with the proper/correct name, origin, and label), is very cozy and has the best variety i’ve seen :) also, i never felt rushed, pressured, and was completely comfortable. very good service! also, for those of you who care; there is little to no smell (ie. incense)

Great place for crystals and jewelry, I went there on the weekend and saw some really cute silver fish charms in the back that I thought would make cute earrings. The staff there kindly made it into earrings for me right there behind the counter in less than 10 minutes. She was very kind and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again on my next trip to Ottawa :)

Not very helpful in comparison the last time I was there. Her advice was for me to take photos of the precious stones and check on line to identify. She wasn't busy but had no interest to help me. The other young lady that served me before Christmas was eager to help me. This was a total letdown. I bought the stones anyway but super disappointed

Very friendly environment! I came in not knowing anything about crystals but wanting to get a gift for my girlfriend who loves them, and the person there was so helpful in showing and explaining the different types they had. Was a bit worried beforehand but I instantly felt at ease after entering the shop, absolutely would recommend :)

Gabriella was very helpful and kind the entire time I was there, and the store itself had a vast amount of options all at a very reasonable price! Everything was of very good quality as well. Strongly recommend this store! I've been looking for amber jewelry for a while now and I was able to find some really good pieces here.

Has such a wonderful experience here with my daughter. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. Bought 2 bracelets and found the prices to be very competitive. We will definitely be back this is one of my favourite shops in the area.
