This museum had free entry and a lots of things to see. Good collection of historical things. I like the mannequins drapped with the scrapes found on beach and public places around. That place was so beautiful, scenic and peaceful to enjoy day outing with family and friends.
Very awesome place, especially with the exhibition that's happening at the moment. Entry is free (at least when I went). The staff member sitting at the desk was incredibly friendly, and wandered around the museum talking to visitors and telling us more about the art.
Fantastic museum to visit, very interesting facts about Australian and aboriginal history and founding of the world. Was easily visited in under an hour as it's not an overwhelming amount of information and is laid out very well. Would highly recommend visiting.
A wet Saturday turns out to be the perfect time to visit. Very interesting museum about the explorer La Perouse and the history of the area. Housed in an old cable station near where La Perouse came ashore in 1788 just after the first fleets arrival.
La Perouse Museum celebrates the life of Jean François de Galaup, comte de Lapérouse, who was a French explorer and navigator that named the suburb. It is a relaxing musum with very nice staff and lots of visual information about his life. More
Beautiful museum in a historic building with many different historical exhibits related to the area. I really loved the Snake man exhibit and the current French exhibition. Several audiovisual installations as well. Learn about the history
We visited to La Perouse during the holiday week and walk in to the museum randomly. It is an old buiding built in 1882, free entry and have some historic stories. The drawing arts are beautiful and colorful. We spent half hour here. More
Small one .... but a lot to catch the eyes of explorer minds and those who love and cherish about history! I reached almost closing time, so didn’t get enough time to study all artifacts or explore the museum itself completely...for sure
Wonderful little museum. Definitely worth the trip as it is surrounded by the ethereal little beach with low tides, perfect for a beach read. The rich history that is seen in this marvellous Victorian Georgian style residence consists of
Made it to the penultimate day of the exhibition on the French Explorers who helped put Australia on the map. Great spring weather. Everyone was out. Parking difficult. Someone should lend the Musée Lapérouse a lawnmower.
This is a great museum! Really interesting about La Perouse the adventurer - the French version of Captain Cook. Also fascinating about the local Indigenous owners. Well worth visiting.
Interactive and some great pieces. The stories from real people played on TV screens was definitely interesting. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great place for history buffs. More

This place was like a spot for movie scene. The great view, cool breeze, fantastic ocean, these were unbelievable. I am so happy that I made another valuable story of life.
Museum is located in middle La Perouse peninsula in the historic Cable station built in 1882 to facilitate telegraph communication between Australia and New Zealand.
Only a small museum but a really good account of the history of the local area, including a very good Aboriginal record. Definitely worth a visit.
I discovered this little.gem + intimate museum in a gorgeous part of Sydney when I went for an exhibition of an amazing Sydney potter.
Nice, little museum with free entrance. The French music at the café was a lovely gift for the French part of my heart …
