"The cinema is comfortable"
Chairs were ok, not too comfy. The cinema is located on the topmost floor in the mall. There are more options of movies here than the scotia cinema at the West Edmonton mall. But the chairs are not super comfy. Couldn’t stretch out to put my legs up. It wasn’t very busy on Canada day when we went. I think it’s not as busy as well being that the location is at downtown Edmonton. Parking is available within the building, indigo at a fee.
Went to see Sound of Freedom on Friday. Good movie - heavy. Was expecting some AC but we were a bit warmer than I was comfortable with. Chairs don’t recline like the other landmark locations but this was an older theatre. Staff were really friendly and you can order some decent grown up bevvies here so that was nice. Would have liked more of a savoury snack selection.
I liked and I enjoyed my time there with my friend, but the service was a little slow, I know they where very busy because the good quality food and all the customers but hopefully next time they have more attendees or waitresses. The waitresses were nice either way, I recommend this place with delicious Italian cuisine …
Went to watch a movie and the theatre had no one but our group of 4. Considering the location and the “street environment” around the theatre, not a theatre for family outings with children. Can’t speak for daytime as I’m not sure but 7 pm and you have sketchy people in the lobby and outside doors, it was uncomfortable.
The cinema is comfortable. But there are difficulties with finding the entrance in the evening because the City Center Mall closes all the doors because of the homeless. Therefore, you have to go via the hotel entrance. Also remember that you won’t be able to refill your pops after around 9.
They always have a lots of options to watch, good image and audio quality, the staff are kind and polite, specially the guy who sell the tickets. The only reason I can not give it 5 stars is because their chairs are non comfortable, have been to other Landmark Cinemas and I can get cozy.
Hands down the longest I've ever waited in the concession line anywhere and when I finally got to the front they were out of hotdogs so I didn't buy anything beyond irritated probably won't come back. Missed first 10 mins of movie for nothing.
This is by far our favorite theatre. It's close to home and it's cozy and quaint. The staff are always really nice. We had an especially great interaction tonight with manager Addie. Super friendly, helpful and down to earth. :) thanks Addie!
Went to see a movie today. There was some very noisy teenagers that didn't stop talking the entire movie. I told them to be quiet and they laughed and continued to talk and purposely rock back and forth in their chairs to make it squeak. My
Regularly visit this landmark. Despite the issues with downtown Edmonton, I feel safe inside this cinema. The staff are awesome, it's clean! We went to another cinema recently (not Landmark) and the staff were rude, I wished we had been
Love this downtown theatre. It’s got that big city night out movie experience. Come downtown for a meal at a restaurant and then come here for a movie. The theatre is clean and well lit. The washroom was clean. The concession stand
Great experience both times visiting. Front staff is very helpful helping my kids pick what seats they wanted and even gave them back their coins from games when machine messed up. Will definitely visit again
Old fashion movie theater. Screen are small. Oh and Check your parking ticket because it can be deceiving. Went to watch a $4 movie and got a $80 parking ticket because I selected all day and it was only
Very clean and quiet theatre hidden away in City Centre Mall. Went to go see the new Barbie movie. Fresh concession snacks. The screens are a little small for the size of the theatres.
Not as nice as St. Albert or Tamarack and you have to pay for parking. Great choice if you live downtown though. No fancy movie screens or seats, it’s a classic experience.
Much better than any other cinema in Edmonton, and much more reasonably priced. The popcorn tastes much better too, and they have cold cans of Molsen's.
First time there... BEAUTIFUL entryway and decently priced! Licenced to serve alcohol. Very nice staff helped me with medical issue. Will def go back!
Love this theatre. I've been going there since I was a little guy. Trying to find free parking sucks big time but $5 in the parkade isn't so bad.
Best theater! Not too many people, a really great experience
