I never had a problem before this experience, but after this experience they need a change of staff or to be shut down. I was literally in tears for the way I was treated when already in such a stressful situation. On top of that Nadia (supervisor) called me falsely accusing me of making comments to the unprofessional doctor that i never made. I am glad i recorded the conversation because now I’m filing a lawsuit. The doctor charged me an arm and a leg to give him anesthesia just to be able to examine him because he was in too much pain, but did not even did not even successfully get him to sleep. NO EXAM WAS EVEN MADE… If anything, she kept insulting me about how he was “aggressive” when he wasn’t he was in pain. The hospital is there for animals in pain, but this hospital couldn’t care less they just care about money. The hospital is for emergencies, but she kept redirecting me to a clinic, after eight hours of waiting for my dog to be examined, I left being charged all that money and not even an examination and refused a refund. I recorded the whole conversation with the doctor and my father already contacted a lawyer because of how awful they treat patients. Don’t ever bring your dog here, if you do record everything. Thank god I did. What they are doing is UNJUSTIFIABLE and Nadia as well as the doctor who was disregarding every concern but charging me and treating me terrible. I wasn’t the only person with a problem or terrible experience but if you speak out Nadia will tell you you’re not welcome to return. My dog has had such swelling & he was forced to leave in a tremendous amount of pain, how do you treat animals that way? This hospital needs to be shut down if the staff is allowed to be this careless

This rating of 5 stars is 100% based on meeting emergency veterinarian Dr. Anna Ledoux. Our 14-year-old dog, Nena, had a cerebrovascular event and had to be euthanized. We knew her health was declining, but we were still beyond devastated. Dr. Ledoux took enough time to explain our options, what was wrong with Nena, and her prognosis. She was very tactful, informative, and professional. I kept crying throughout the appointment, but Dr. Ledoux didn’t make me feel weird about it and she let us keep holding on to Nena as she was sedated and put to sleep. She passed in our arms and didn’t seem in pain. I’m grateful she was the veterinarian Nena ended up being with that night. Now we’re just waiting for her ashes to make their way back to us. Thank you Dr. Ledoux for helping Nena pass with dignity! As far as the rest of the experience, the receptionist was really nice. The wait time, though, was very long (about 5-6 hours even though our dog arrived paralyzed) and the customer restroom was out of order. The staff said we had to wait in the lobby for our pet, which was a very long wait, especially while being pregnant. So perhaps there’s room for improvement in the customer experience area, but I still give 5 stars because Dr. Ledoux was amazing. Thanks again, Dr. Ledoux!

We took our American bulldog in for emergency services. He was not able to chew his food properly and his tongue was pushed to the side. After he started bleeding from the mouth, we couldn't wait until Monday. Our vet recommended them for ER. They took him right back and within an hour, Dr. Bo explained that our dog had a mass under his tongue and offered to test what she could but that our dog was hurting and the outcome would not change. We already knew this due to his current medical issues but were hopeful he had just bit his tongue. The empathy and kindness was like no other. They had many other patients and after deciding to give Gage the last gift we could give him in his life, we decided to say goodbye. We had plenty of time to have private time to say our goodbyes and then Dr. Bo acted as though we were the only family there. She took time to not only explain but also listened to us talk about his life. She told us comfort words, reassuring us that we had done all we could and that he knew he was loved. They never asked to run $1000 worth of tests or gave false hope. She was to the point and human. We have 2 more at home and will go back if needed. We are thankful for Dr. Bo and her kind empathy.

I’ve brought several (one had a sudden onset of back pain, one had an impacted bladder, one had a intervertebral disc rupture) of my pets here when they’ve had emergencies. While I will say that we’ve always waited, it’s because they triage cases—as they should. The worst cases are given priority. Most recently, my sweet chihuahua mix suffered a sudden back injury which left him without the use of his back legs. In cases like this, the sooner you can get neurological care, the better it is for the outcome of your fur baby’s recovery. He spent a total of five days in the hospital, two of which were postop. Dr. Daw and the neurological team did an amazing job. They always took time to address my concerns, answer questions about his condition, and give me updates—both when I call in to check and calling me with updates. My only complaint is that I wish he could’ve had surgery on Monday rather than Tuesday, but his condition wasn’t compromised by the wait and therefore is a moot point. I am so incredibly thankful to Dr. Daw and all the other doctors who took such wonderful care of our sweet Toby. On to recovery, we hope he will walk again!

Saturday morning, our cat is acting very strange. We immediately suspect neurological issues because of his symptoms. We get recommended Missionvet and make a call. The receptionist, Mhyrical, was so empathetic and got us triaged over the phone. A vet tech called us back within a minute and had us head in. We were seen almost immediately and the staff did a wonderfully thorough job of figuring out what was going on. Turns out our little boy got into something he should not have, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure he was out of the woods before they would sign off on him leaving. All things considered, the cost was extremely reasonable, and the vet (Dr. Ramirez) went out of her way to ensure us no tests or work would be done unless it was absolutely needed. She stuck to her word! I can't say enough good things about this place. Emergency vet rooms can be one of the most depressing places on Earth, but Missionvet makes it as nice as it possibly can be. Thank you for everything again!! I've attached two pictures of our boy, right after he got home. He was tired, but feeling so much better!

These folks did great work on our family dog. Truly. The only critique I would have is the customer service. I’m not sure if this is a company policy? But, when people are sitting in the main lobby of the facility I find it a little disturbing that employees are going over total costs of treatment plans and then asking the owners of pets if something goes wrong if they would like the animal to be resuscitated or not. In front of other people in the lobby. Where then the owner breaks into tears and is needed to be handed tissues because obviously they’re going through a difficult situation if you’re having to bring a pet - because sometimes a pet is more than that, they’re family - into an emergency veterinarian. There should be some sort of separate room where you bring the owners to, to go over financials and resuscitation. Or, just keep us in the back where we already are and go over this. Again, treatment and helping our dog… wonderful. Just this policy of going over finances and DNR I feel could be handled in a better manner.

I’m so thankful for the critical care team, Karina, Chloe and everyone who had our Teegie in their care. A very special thank you to Dr. Hindmarsh for not giving up on our boy. We brought our boy, Tigjuan, for treatment after our vet had offered euthanasia but the critical care team took our boy into their hands and he is on his road to recovery. They cared for him beautifully, and you could see their love for animals and him with each time they handled him and spoke about him. They trained us very thoroughly so we could provide his insulin at home and made sure to hit every point to educate us about feline diabetes, what needles to use, what not to use and so on. Our boy is alive and well thanks to the efforts of the critical care team who lovingly worked on him constantly until he was ready to come home. Genuinely looking forward to working with them further in regards to their internal medicine department. They are a wonder to work with and true heroes. I couldn’t be more thankful, and we know Teegie is so very grateful

We were referred to MissionVet by our local vet clinic because our dog had a dangerously low platelet count. The following day of being admitted, he was confirmed to have immune-mediated thrombocytopenia, a potentially life threatening disease if not treated to properly. However, a few days later we were able to take our baby home thanks to the wonderful team at MissionVet, especially Dr. Ramsey. He explained everything clearly and helped our dog at a second chance at life. Thank you again MissionVet! Update: a week after being discharged, gizmo was experiencing rare side effects from one of his several medications. He needed to be readmitted once again for his liver. The internal medicine team was unavailable but the critical care team, including Dr. Johnson and Dr. Himdmarsh were there to help. They found an alternative that works with the other medication and we were able to take our baby home after one night. Wonderful team!

We had an emergency situation with our Great Pyrenees on Saturday night (12/23). They got him in quickly and were able to stabilize him. Unfortunately due to his situation it was determined that the best coarse of action was to euthanize him. The Dr was very patient and understanding, and walked us through the procedure. The entire staff was sympathetic and very helpful. They helped make the transition as painless for him and us as possible. He was a loved family member and will be missed. It was great seeing how much they cared as well, and made sure that everything was handled professionally. It was unfortunate that it happened, but I'm glad that we took him to MissionVet. Thank you so much.

I've come here for two separate incidences - TPLO surgery and dog attack wounds. My dog was well taken care of each time. Like all ERs, wait is expected but it's worth it in the end. I've had the pleasure of working with both Dr. Garcia and Dr. Witsberger. They have great bedside manner. They are informative and makes sure all your questions are answered. I've personally gotten phone calls from them right after surgery. And also the staff keeps you updated throughout. Always appreciate the staff and drs for dealing w his "feistiness." Really thankful! :)

My family found a puppy that had its legs tied together with zip ties and starving on the side of the road Thanksgiving night. We took Lookout to Mission in the middle of the night and they were able to help us in every way. They kept Lookout through the night and got the circulation back in his legs and helped clean up his wounds. When Dr. Gio let him walk out to us the next morning our hearts melted. Thank you so much Mission vet for helping us save this sweet puppy. ❤️ Original photos are graphic.

We had a good experience with Dr. Kira Zerkel. She was very thorough in her diagnosis for our senior dog and gave us a good explanation of her treatment plan and care. Happy is up and going again although she may have another episode she is doing well. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Mission Emergency vet is on the expensive side but the standard of care was excellent. This is our second experience with special care her. Our Labrador’s knee surgery a couple of years ago was excellent

Fantastic and caring people here!! The kind of attention, concern, and empathy that the entire staff displayed during our cat’s appointment was heartfelt and amazing. The compassion and respect shown to us during such a difficult time is something we will always remember. It is evident that this team is well trained by phenomenal leaders who have created a remarkable culture. We are thankful for each of you, your honesty and integrity is refreshing and appreciated.

Enough can not be said about the doctors and staff. Our sweet dog was diagnosed with cancer and they took excellent care of her and her humans. She is now in remission. Every single time she needed to see a doctor or we had questions they were quick to provide whatever help they could. After being in the facility for hours over the last few months i can honestly say they have your fur baby’s best interest at heart. They love pets and people.

The entire staff was warm and friendly from day one! Dr. Ramsey (and the doctor with the red sparkling shoes) is awesome! Dr. Ramsey took the time to keep communication open about the treatment of my fur baby! If he said he was going to call at a certain time, he truly would! I can't thank him and his staff enough for their support in the care, treatment and healing process of my Houston! Sincerely appreciative, Charlene and Houston

  • Jazmine H (Jazzie Jay)

The front staff are so sweet and kind and the back of staff are even better they treat your pets like they are family and they make sure that you understand everything, talking through what procedures are needed if necessary step by step. I love them! I will always take my pets here in case of emergency. Hopefully I won’t need to but it’s amazing to know they will be in great hands.

Mission took in my pet, Lily in a emergency situation. They had a neurosurgeon ready for her the next morning. I was in Mexico when this happened. The surgeon spoke to me before and after. The staff worked with me in signing the paperwork and making payment electronically. The best thing is that Lily is walking again!

  • Jennifer Brackett

The staff was kind, supportive and quick responding to my puppy's needs. I took her in after 10 pm last night due to accidental ingestion of chocolate which can be deadly to dogs. She was seen quickly and cared for well. Highly recommend for after hours emergency care. Thank you Mission Vet.

I would have given five stars but I found out I was overcharged by at least 1500.00. That’s a lot of money to remove an eye from a dog that had no other issues. I will be paying that bill for a while. Other than the price everyone was super nice and I appreciated that very much.
