I have visited this veterinary hospital on multiple occasions, and while some experiences have been satisfactory, others have left me feeling uneasy about their practices. Unfortunately, my latest visit brought to light some concerning issues that I feel compelled to share. When I called to schedule a regular appointment for my two fur babies, I explicitly emphasized that it was not an emergency and should not incur any additional charges. To my surprise, the receptionist booked the appointment as an emergency, which would have cost me an extra $100, even though she booked the appointment for two days after, which I found unprofessional. Upon arriving at the hospital, I inquired about the cost of tapeworm parasite tests for my pets. However, the receptionist could not provide an estimate, which felt somewhat disconcerting. I reiterated that I only needed the parasite tests and did not want additional costs, such as a doctor's examination, which had been unexpectedly charged during a previous visit. Inside the examination room, I once again communicated to the nurse that I did not wish to be charged extra for an examination, as I only needed the specific tests. The nurse assured me that the examination was included with the tests. However, when it was time to settle the bill, I was shocked to see an additional $60 charge for each pet for a 5-minute examination and $30 each for two pills, which were never requested or authorized by me. When I questioned these unexpected charges, I was told that I could ask the doctor to waive them. It left me feeling uncomfortable and put in the position of having to plead for charges to be removed when services had already been provided. Despite my frustration, I paid the bill and awaited a call back with the test results. To my dismay, the hospital failed to call me with the results, so I had to reach out to them on Monday. The receptionist seemed confused and irritable when I asked about the results, stating that both tests were NEGATIVE FOR HEARTWORMS. However, my initial concern was about TAPEWORMS, as I had seen evidence of them in one of my pets' stool. This discrepancy led to an unpleasant exchange where the receptionist reacted with hostility, raising her voice and accusing me of not understanding anything. My husband could hear the receptionist yelling at me thru the phone, and he was impacted by her level of unprofessionalism. Feeling dissatisfied, I requested to speak with someone else. After being transferred to a nurse, I was informed that the test results may not always accurately indicate the presence of parasites. This left me questioning the purpose of testing if it ultimately led to the same treatment regardless of the results. In conclusion, my experience at this veterinary hospital was a mixed bag, with some aspects of their service leaving much to be desired. The lack of transparency regarding charges and the miscommunication about test results were particularly troubling. While there were positive aspects, such as the friendly nurse and doctor, these concerns have left me uncertain about returning to this hospital in the future. I hope that the management will address these issues to ensure a more reliable and respectful experience for all their clients and their beloved pets.

Update 12/31/2020 They forgot a suture in his ear! We figured out how to remove it but still just not something we should be even trying to do ourselves. I came to this vet office after being referred by Northwoods Animal (their sister clinic). We came to get our Doberman's ear crop sutures removed and also his ears re-posted. I had called and made the appointment weeks ago and they said they could do this for us. When we arrived for our 9AM appointment at 8:45AM they took a very long time to come get our pup then once they had him they had him until a little after 11AM. This was supposed to be a very simple in and out appointment. They made it extremely frustrating by first saying they couldn't remove the sutures because they didn't know when he had his ears cropped. They needed proof when the doctor who preformed the surgery was in their office! They finally proceeded with this service and after we finally got our pup back. After I got him back I took him across the parking lot to pee. Within 2 mins his entire post from one of his ears was completely off with barely any movement! I was so shocked I walked back to the clinic and demanded his ears be reposted. After waiting 2 hours this was ridiculous. They said the technician who did the posting was now in surgery and nobody else knew how to post ears. They said that I needed to leave my pup with them for a drop off with no time estimate of when he would be ready. I refused because I wanted to know how long he would be waiting for this re-post, 2 more hours, 5 hours, what? No response or estimated time. I spoke with the manager who was nice and refunded our payment but said nobody in the office knew how to post cropped ears. That on certain days of the week they had more trained staff. This whole experience was the most unprofessional vet visit I've ever had! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The wait is long even with an appointment and the staff is not competent. I guess if you want a competent technician you need to come on a certain day of the week!

The staff was not very friendly. I walked in with my fur babies salivary gland severely enlarged and with her cheek swollen, they told me it would be a three hour wait. A lady walked in right after me with her dog which had a mild allergic reaction and they took her dog back right away. I’ll post some pictures of what my baby looked like walking in there. I don’t know how they didn’t think this was an emergency. Thankfully, my vet (who was booked out for days) called me back and fit me into their busy schedule and I was able to get out of waiting three hours to be seen for an urgent matter. Edit: A simple apology without the excuses would’ve been sufficient from the owner. Yes, thank God my dog was stable but the dog that was taken back right away was just as stable and full of energy and was trying to pull toward my dog. Turns out, the inflammation on my dogs cheek was an allergic reaction and “allergic reactions are a serious emergency and can quickly lead to respiratory distress.” Our primary vet couldn’t believe that the lady at the front desk didn’t even take a peek over the counter to take a look at my dog or ask any follow up questions. It seemed like she was training someone new and all I could hear her say to the trainee over and over was to “just make sure that this or that doesn’t come back to you or me.” It seemed like all she cared about was herself, and she showed no sympathy or kindness toward anyone walking through the door. It may be that this isn’t the case with every front desk employee, but unfortunately that’s the person who was there that day and as the “face” of the clinic she truly painted an awful picture.

My baby’s usual daytime vet didn’t have availability for me until later in the week, and my pup needed to be seen soon because I knew something was wrong with him. So I called and brought him here to this clinic. Upon arrival, one of the ladies at the front desk asked me what I needed. I told her that my dog was admitted to the ER on Friday for Pancreatitis and that he was not improving. I mentioned that I had tried giving him his medicine with some food, then she responded to me: “you’re NEVER supposed to give medicine to your dog with food.” Then, she tells me, “if I were you, I’d go home and try giving him his medicine without food.” Her tone came off as rude. I then asked, “couldn’t he be seen?” She replied “I mean, I can get you in, but im trying to save you $100.” I felt totally discouraged and put down by the way she was addressing me. I went home crying, feeling lost for my dog because he looked unwell to me and I knew that the pain meds were just helping him get by, but not treating whatever underlying problem he had. When I was finally able to be seen by his regular vet two days later, it turns out he had a really high fever and needed to be kept at the clinic for fluids via a catheter. I told my vet about the lady at this clinic and the comment she made to me, and the vet said “that medicine can be given with food. There are certain ones that can’t but that isn’t one of those.” Needless to say, I won’t be bringing my dog to this clinic, ever. I’m sure there are lovely people that work here, but that lady turned away a sick dog that was in pain, blaming it on me for something that was not even an issue.

My puppy ate something that made her sick. It was at 9pm and we were panicking while searching for a vet that was open. Luckily we found town and Country Vet Hospital because as soon as we came in they quickly scooped her out of our arms and immediately took her to the back to care for her. Ryan calmed us down and his bedside manner made my daughter and I feel like everything was going to be fine. Our dog was given an IV and anti vomiting medication which seemed to make her feel better. Dr Wilson and Ryan explained to us what was the matter with our dog and reassured us she will be ok. I loved that I didn’t feel like it was about squeezing every last penny out of my pocket. They let me know the cost of things but told me we didn’t have to do all the tests and we can wait until tomorrow to see if she was feeling better which they believed she would be. We came in crying and before we knew it Ryan had us laughing and relieved everything would be ok. I wanted to hug him and Dr Wilson for helping us. I really want to take my dogs to them instead of Vanguard because they were so awesome! Julie was at the front office and she was soooo sweet! She shared her story about her pup which had a similar experience and everything turned out fine. I felt like they really cared about my dog and not just about money. Not only did they take care of my dog, but they took care of my daughter and I, which meant the world! Hands down this has been the best experience my dogs and I have ever had at any vets office. They have a customer for life!

I have been bringing my pets (several cats) to T&C for at least 11 years, and have always had the best care for my babies. There *have* been times that the wait was long, but this is understandable since it's an emergency hospital, not a general clinic, so emergencies will always take priority; we've even been one of those emergencies in the past. The staff has always been friendly, especially the vet techs, assistants and doctors, and one of the things I like most is that once they evaluate an issue, they provide a list of recommended services or treatments, along with the cost of each, so I can choose the services I want, and/or can afford. I also understand, as an emergency hospital, the costs will be a bit higher, like the difference between going to a PCP versus an ER, but I chose to use T&C for general appts as well so that IF there is ever an emergency, they already have my pets' records on-hand. The company they use for babies that have to cross the rainbow bridge is amazing as well. (NOTE: I read some of the low rated comments out of curiosity, and was very surprised. No person or facility, regardless of who or what it is, will be 100% perfect every time, even when they strive to be. Keeping in mind that this is a hospital, not a general clinic, prices *will* be higher and wait times often long, just like with 'human' clinics and hospitals.) Thank you, T&C!

i’ve only ever come as an emergency walk in with my pet rats and they are always so quick to help me, the service provided is also always very caring. the prices are also very fair. they have taken care of all of my babies for the past year or two. i just wish they would bring another exotic vet back on staff, my only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. if you want a vet clinic that actually cares about your pets well being or a peaceful cross over the rainbow bridge, i recommend town and country. update 2/24/23 due to unfortunate circumstances i had to visit town and country again to put another one of my sweet rats to sleep. Dr.Chen, Julie and Lauren were all AMAZING and so kind to me during such an unfortunate time. I truly hope exotics will be seen here again besides for emergency euthanasia because i really trust the staff here to take care of my fur babies, i drive half way across town just to come here. thank you to Dr. Chen for making me a keepsake of my boy, no one else has ever done that for me and it is deeply appreciated. 5 stars town and country! please consider allowing exotic pets back into your daily operations again.

TLDR: saved my rabbit, great staff; you should bring your rabbits here, too A few years ago my I came home late and noticed my bunny was behaving deliriously and acting completely out of character. Upon inspection I noticed he had a huge infection so deep it almost went through his cheek. It was late, and most places were closed but I called every place open. I don't remember what was exchanged but the staff answering the call here felt right so off I went. I was much more panicked and freaking out than I have expressed here and when the staff got to me I was probably a mess. They were great. They calmed me down, reassuring me that they'd do everything they could, and they did. They had to sedate him and performed a minor procedure. During the long hours they would send someone to come check on me (we waited in the cars) to make sure I was alright. Like most emergency procedures I paid upfront but I was shocked at how fair the price was. They even had to keep him overnight. Many places don't even take rabbits so it's great to have this place saved in my contacts.

As a former ER physician (for humans), I really appreciated the care that my dog and I got at Town & Country. She had an urgent medical issue, and even though Dr. Chen was at the very end of her overnight shift and could have "punted" us to the oncoming vet, she immediately examined my dog and spoke with me at length about her condition. She also followed up after signing out to update me on the plan and ensure continuity of care, and she demonstrated true compassion. Dr. Alsmady called me multiple times later that day and the next morning to inform me of lab and x-ray results and discuss the evolving differential diagnosis, and her demeanor was warm and sincere in her concern for my pet. Both during and after our visit, Dom at the front desk was so accommodating in answering my questions, connecting me with staff, and problem-solving to make sure that I got the information that I needed. I especially appreciated his sense of humor, which lifted my spirts during a stressful time. Thank you to everyone at Town & Country for your excellent service!

After 5 minutes of trying to explain what an appointment is to the receptionist who did not understand what that is after I explained I needed to get my goat seen for an infection because the description clearly states exotic animals welcome. She was under the impression that when I said I wanted to make an appointment for my goat that I was trying to make an appointment for another kind of animal. We go through the whole process of booking which she is obviously really inexperienced in providing correct information because I asked for the latest appointment and she said that would be 4pm. I told her I would take it then she said well i can’t book you for that because your animal is sick. So why offer that time??? Then as I am finalizing the appointment she asks what breed he is and I say Nigerian pygmy and she says wait is that a dog? No as stated it is a goat. She then tells me that Town & Country veterinary hospital does not see exotic animals. Then take it off the website??? I also suggest retraining your front desk. Really bad experience.

My cat, Jasper has been having stomach issues. His regular vet was about to close and didn't have any openings so I took him to Town & Country per my vet's recommendation. T&C takes walk-ins. We sat in the lobby for about 10 - 15 minutes until he was called in. Because they had a lot of critical patients coming in after me, I had to leave Jasper until they called me to pick him up around 11pm. The vet, the people at the reception desk, and the vet techs are all so kind and attentive! I had to call back last night because my kitty stopped eating again and they took the time to tell me what to do. If you have an emergency with your pet, I highly recommend Town & Country. I will be going back in case of emergencies or if my pet needs assistance and their normal vet is completely booked. Thank you, Town & Country!

Without previously knowing our dog Sam or our family, this clinic of angels helped our favorite boy cross the rainbow bridge with grace and dignity. They afforded us moments alone and then guidance as we let him pass on to the next world. There was no distress or pain. He had been sick and being cared for in almost a hospice capacity. We knew he would let us know when it was his time. That came on a Sunday when his regular vet was closed. We will forever be grateful to this clinic and all of the folks we were fortunate enough to meet here. They were supportive and compassionate to all of us during one of the most difficult experiences. Thank you for putting your whole hearts and expertise into the work that you do. We felt it, so did Sam and that brings us great comfort.❤️

I have been coming to Town & Country Veterinary Hospital for many years with my pets. What I love most is that it has been a 24 hour hospital most of the time. I recently took my dog to the vet because he was sick. Words can't express how much Dr. Apple showed so much compassion toward our beloved Maverick. I have never felt so comfortable and happy being at the vet under sad circumstances. Dr. Apple truly has a huge heart for animals and I will never forget how much she made that day feel so special under sad circumstances ! If I could give her 100 stars I would. It's never easy saying goodbye to our fur babies but she made every moment feel special and never rushed. Thank you Dr. Apple for all that you did and your team/staff were all so friendly and helpful.

Waited 1.5 hours for quote of 950$ to sedate and clean my cats paw. They made up the estimate without even examining the cat. They refused to sedate her with gas to calm her down enough to actually examine her. They refused to provide me with medication to sedate her enough so I could clean her paw at home. I left with a prescription and requested an antibiotics injection at the least. After seeing how fearful my cat was, and refusing to sedate her with gas, they traumatized her trying to give her the antibiotic injection and returned her to me full of urine and feces. I left having to sign an AMA (against medical advice) by vet who never examined the paw and refused to sedate her properly to do so, who also refused me the tools to be able to treat her myself.

Took my corgi here after he ingested some poison. They immediately took him in and induced vomiting and then the vet took the time to explain how he was and proposed treatment for his condition. I was reassured that it was going to be ok and why a hospitalization was the right move. They took excellent care of him and we slept well. Was great to know that there was a doctor and two techs with him all night and he was given the care he needs. He was so much better the next morning they discharged him and he was ready with medication to continue care at home. I’m extremely grateful town and country were available to take him as soon as we walked in and we are very happy to know we have an excellent emergency vet nearby should we ever need one again!

Great experience from start to finish. We took our cat here for an emergency. They sent out a vet tech to triage her right away and they took her back immediately to stabilize her. We didn't have to wait long for the Vet to speak with us to let us know what the care plan was. They presented us with a very clear breakdown of the cost beforehand and the cost was very reasonable. Both the Vet and vet tech were so nice, comforting and knowledgeable. We were in and out in about an hour and a half. The front desk was great as well. I was so pleased with our experience here and how well they took care of our cat during an emergency. Would definitely recommend! We will be switching our routine care to this location as well.

Just want to put in a good word and thank the team working here. Our puppy managed to swallow a scrunchie and luckily we saw it happen. I called and Dominic was very helpful, told us to bring her in. He got some info on the phone and had it all ready when we arrived. The staff came out from the back and told me they were going to take her back and try to get her to throw it up. We waited about 30 minutes and the the doc came in the room with the scrunchie in a baggy (!). A few minutes later and we had our mischievous pup back in my daughter’s worried arms. Appreciate the quick service on the phone and in the clinic. PSA: if your pup swallows something, get her seen within 2 hours to avoid surgery if you can!

My husband called yesterday to confirm that our kitten’s appointment was only for a vaccine. He arrived around 11:30 and was taken to a room after only 30 minutes, which is fast compared to history. An employee brought an estimate for $260 and my husband asked her to check since it was confirmed yesterday that it was a vaccine appointment. They left him alone in the room for 45 minutes with no updates. The kitten was never seen and he finally decided to leave at 12:45 with no update on the estimate and our kitten hadn’t been out of his kennel the entire time. Very disappointed as this clinic has been great with our other cat - never timely, but great bedside manner. We will be finding a new vet after today.

  • Darling from Texas

Was looking for a vet to take a look at our newest furry family member. Every vet I called near me was not staffed appropriately and stated that they only had appointments either the week after Christmas or after New Years. While I understand it was the week of Christmas but that is NO EXCUSE, offices should be staffed to help folks who are getting fur babies to make sure they are healthy. I called Town and Country, not expecting good news, but was pleasantly surprised. They were staffed and I was able to get our newest family member a check-up. All clear btw. It’s wonderful to find a vet who cares about the animals in our lives! They were closed Christmas Eve, but opened on Christmas Day. Amazing!!

I am not one to leave reviews, but needed to make this my first google review because how great this place is! There is a reason they have so many high ratings on google. The staff at town & country are incredibly nice and knowledgeable. They make you feel welcome, important, and very empathetic. Most importantly, they have a high sense of urgency. I have taken one of my dogs here twice for an emergency situation and they have taken him in right away. They are very affordable, which is rare to find these days - especially for an emergency vet. I have multiple friends that have brought their pets here in a time of need and raved about them as well. I highly recommend town & country!

  • Megan Beals

I took my dog here last night for bleeding from his incision. They immediately triaged him and were so good with me and my 4yo. They quickly assessed him and kept me updated the entire time. Dr Chen was so knowledgeable and personable and i appreciated the honesty more than words can describe. Lauren, the tech that was helping me was also very kind and very knowledgeable. I can't thank the two of them enough. The person at the front desk checking me out, I didn't catch their name. They were incredibly kind and personable as well. They were also the one that helped check my dog in. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. We need kindness like all of yours in this world.

I came in Tuesday evening with my baby, Mazzy who couldn't breathe. A vet tech immediately took her out of my arms and rushed her to the back. They intubated her and gave me a private room. Dr. Appel came and explained what was going on with my pup. She was very clear about everything. I decided to proceed with treatment and Mazzy stayed overnight. Dr. Appel stayed with her the whole time and called me every hour or two to update me. The next morning we decided she needed to be transferred to a vet that could give her more specialized treatment. Dr. Appel and her awesome vet tech drove Mazzy over themselves while I followed. I recommend Dr. Appel and her team.

I had to bring my dog Zeus in for an emergency due to him being attacked by another dog. I was extremely scared and nervous. The office staff has a friendly demeanor, unwavering professionalism, not only made me feel at ease but have also instilled a deep sense of trust in their abilities. I have the utmost confidence in their medical judgment and treatment on Zeus. Their commitment to animal care goes above and beyond, and it is evident that they genuinely care about the well-being of all animals under their care. Thank you to the Doctor and staff for taking care of my fur baby and being so caring during this traumatic experience. I am forever grateful.

  • Jonathan Kitchen

I had to put my beloved Jackson (14) down today. I was met with the most sincere and professional staff. I am choked up as I write this review as this is still fresh in my mind. I wish I could remember everyone's name, but the tech that took our information, the tech that started the IV, and the tech that gave him a chocolate cookie...I appreciate you more than you will know. To the veterinarian that helped ease Jackson over the rainbow bridge...I am forever grateful for your compassion, professionalism, and sympathy. My heart is broken, but I feel better knowing that this compassionate team took care of Jackson and his family.

  • Leticia Mendoza

Despite the negative reviews we read, we STILL took our chances. Yes, we waited for about an hour and a half im our car but the staff was fast to greet us. They were very pleasant and friendly. My fur baby went with the tech with no hesitation. In less than 15 minutes we got our baby's diagnosis and treatment orders.. I would definitely go back and strongly recommend you giving them a chance. Sometimes people write negative reviews because they don't get waited on hand and foot. Or are just bitter people.. But either way patience goes a long way. Thank you Town and Country for taking us as a walk in and caring for our fir baby.

My husband and I recently moved to SA and hadn’t researched any vets in the area. We’ve taken two of our babies there and the customer service and care is amazing. Dr. Chen, the vet techs, and front desk staff has been so kind and willing to answer all our questions. We’ve previously dealt with Veterinarians that have been super condescending but Dr. Chen is the complete opposite. She takes the time to explain what’s going on and answers all the questions. Both of our trips were during their ER hours and the care and service was great! Truly grateful for them and we’re so thankful we’ve found a new Veterinarian for our dogs!

I took my 8 weeks old German shepherd Deucalion (Dewcalion ) in for a wellness exam, as I had just gotten him from the breed in Georgia and got him back home to Texas. He was really small for an 8week old GSD so I had concerns that he was sick! The doctors came in, took his vitals, ran a parvo test (which luckily came back negative) then the ran a fecal exam which came back with positives for coccidia and hookworms! The doctors provided medication and tips to make sure little man gets back on the mend! They all really loved Deucalion! He’s more playful today and eating wet food stuffed tracheas

We’re not a regular patient at Town & Country, but we needed to use their emergency care. We were treated extremely nice from the greeting, exam and discharge. I witnessed a very caring stuff. Or puppy was in great pain and within a few hours came out looking great other than wearing a cone. A few days later we even got a call to check in on our fur baby. What impressed me the most is what I witnessed during our two hour visit. I witnessed a caring staff that is passionate not only for treating animals, but for their caretakers Bottom line: wonderful option for after hour care

I went in due to my little Bruno not feeling well; right away they took care of us. Dr Chen and her assistant went in got some exams done and found out that my little Bruno had a birth defect that I didn’t even knew about. Due to his defect, my only option was to put him down. I’m so grateful to everyone that help us that night. It was a really hard night for us but thank you to the staff now I’m at peace that my baby boy Bruno is not suffering no more. I thank you Dr Chen for being patient with me and explaining me what was going on with him.

One of the best emergency runs to a vet I've ever had to make. On two occasions within a week (maybe 2 weeks) period, my Leia first had vomiting yellow bile and then later a split nail. The visits were quick, especially for the first visit being nearly midnight, and explained to me that Leia was perfectly healthy and recommended keeping up with routine care like dewormers. Leia has been perfect since visiting, and if I ever need to take her or any of my other dogs to vet on an emergency basis, I will definitely return here!!

  • Kathy Hill

My dog was not able to keep even a few tablespoons of water down. T&C was able to see her on a Sunday morning as a walk in. They keep a clean clinic and take precautions if your pet is possibly contagious. The staff is compassionate and pleasant. My dog was tested, treated and feeling better by evening. The vets and staff handled my dog so well she wasn't traumatized at all. It's a little scary to hear your dog has pneumonia, but she's doing much better and I'm grateful there was such an excellent clinic to take her to.

I live in stone oak, town & country was the only place available late night <9pm> with a very in house, when my little buddy needed emergency surgery. They got him in quick( the severity of his case more than most of the other animals in the waiting room ). I wondered if I would ever see him again, they kept us updated throughout the night and we picked him up in the morning and a week and a half later he's doing great. Thank you to the staff, they were amazing in a world of diminishing customer service. Thank you guys.

I took my puppy Winston here after he began having labored breathing out of nowhere. Everyone was so attentive as soon as we walked in the door, as well as while we were going through tests and figuring out treatment. They were very reassuring and dedicated to helping him get better, and I am so thankful for Dr. Wilson and team! They are a bit pricy but they are an emergency vet so that is to be expected. Winston has made almost a total recovery and I will definitely be recommending them to friends and family.

I live in Fort Worth now, but when I lived in San Antonio I only trusted Town and Country with my Yorkies. They have since passed. Last night I was visiting my family and I was walking my Doberman and Golden retriever when unprovoked a dog came charging at us and attacked my sweet Golden Luna. The entire staff from the front desk to the techs to the vet were so sweet and helpful in calming me down and taking care of my baby. She has some healing to do, but I’m so grateful for them.

We are never disappointed with Town & Country Animal Hospital. Took my Bella due to ingesting one Aleve tablet. The technicians took care of her with love & tenderness and the doctor was amazing as usual by taking every precaution procedure & involved Poison Control to ensure the proper treatment was followed. As an animal parent, I sincerely appreciate everything done for my baby Bella. I've used Town & Country since 2012 and will continue as long as I have fur babies.

  • Jodie Flores

Always take great care of my fur babies! Both my babies have had medical concerns this year, my little one (PITA) had heart worms and Town & Vet took great care of my baby making the painful process as easy as they could-after 4 months of medication and restriction she tested negative! Now onto my big lab (Bento) has arthritis and was limping around, they immediately worked with me to put him on pain management regime and he has a bad tendency of tearing a dew claw out.

  • Dido Ortiz

A Simple Thank you isn't enough for the wonderful staff that work here. I was beyond worried about my baby Loki after he got a 5-inch stick lodged his throat. I was a wreck and worried sick and from the moment we got on the phone with this place I was feeling more at ease. I arrived, and the Veterinarian was able to urgently take care of my puppy the instant I pulled up. Loki and the whole Rodgers Family Thank You and are forever grateful. Go here with confidence.

My mom had to put down her dog. I had given her this doggie and I grew very attatched. I didn't know that she put her down or I would have been there. That said the next morning I went to go see Vegas. They let me see her after giving me full disclosure about her current state. They didn't have to do that. I know this. This shows compassion. And I will be forever grateful I got to say goodbye. They gave me as much time as I wanted. Thank you for your kind dness

  • Dean Davenport

Our older rabbit was very ill. We were seen quickly and with no reservation. This was our first visit to the hospital as well. The vet described everything in detail. Gave us the options available. There was no pressure at all. We were given all the time we needed to make a decision. Everyone was very friendly and patient as well. These people truly care. I would not hesitate to use them again! The cost seemed reasonable as well. No surprises.

  • luci arce

Tools my Wolfie in right away, even though we had no appointment. The front office staff and vet techs are unbelievably welcoming and knowledgeable! I only wish i could name them individually. They took care of Wolfie. Even though I had a long wait, that was expected. I was a walk in and they had critical fur babies come in. Very satisfied with Dr. Chen and Dr. Wilson! They both did a great job on my Wolfie. She is on the road to recovery!

  • Terri Sinclair

We have been taking our cat to Town & Country Veterinary hospital for 10 years now. Our most recent visit was one of our best yet. Ryan was the tech, and he gave us so much helpful information for how to best feed our cat. Our cat hates going the doctor and is somewhat on the sassy side, but she was so cooperative this visit. Ryan's demeanor put her at ease and was able to get her through the visit without any issues. We are so pleased.

Called in on 10/19/2023 @app 230pm and inquired info about emergency treatment for my dog. Spoke with Dominique who was nasty, snappy, and rude. I Refuse to allow a facility that speaks to patients that way to treat my animal. Town and Country Vet Hospital, please remind Dominique that you are in business because we as customers bring our animals there and there are many OTHER options. Sorry Dominique for interrupting you at work!!!

  • Rachel Olvera

Overall, they took care of my baby. That's what matters most. They are super slow and they tend to let things slip through the cracks. I got told "sorry" like five times today because they kept forgetting about me. If you keep calling and checking for check ups or reminding them that you're waiting, you should be fine. The technicians were great and Bella is home and happy again. She broke her little nail off and needed help.

  • Stabbybee (Stabbybee)

Thank you, Town & Country for taking care of our Tucker. The doctor who examined Tucker was very caring, and even followed up with us to make sure his medication was working and to make sure we did not hve any more questions. The entire staff was pleasant. Especially during this time, accept the fact that your wait might be longer. But it is worth it, this staff really cares for the animals, and it shows.

  • Mercedes R.

Our cat hurt himself and was walking funny, so I wanted to get him checked out immediately. Town & Country was the only vet I found opened on a Saturday. The front desk staff were kind, and after a bit of a wait, we were seen. The Dr. was kind and explained everything to me thoroughly. I was afraid the bill would be huge, but to my surprise, it wasn't! I definitely recommend them for emergency situations!

  • J. J.

First time going to Town and Country. They very amazing and very understanding. We drove in from camping in belief that our 4 year old Baby boy was exposed to Blue Algae. They took him in immediately and made me feel super comfortable by the way they handled my boy. The entire team is amazing and should I ever be in need of an emergency veterinarian, I plan to go nowhere else. Sincerely, Jackie Jackson

  • Monica Coglio

They went above and beyond. A special thanks to Dr. Taylor Wilson and the tech; they were so helpful and did their best with Luke and handled Luke so kindly, knowing he was rambunctious. There wasn't any judgment, and they didn't treat him indifferently because of his crazy behavior. Thank you to all the staff that helped and were so understanding. From the bottom of my heart ❤️ -The Tired Single Mom

  • Blu U

Overcharged me . I paid $440 just to find out my dogo was going in heat. They gave me medicine and everything because they thought it was pyometra. And it wasn’t . Scammed me and got an attitude when I asked if I could just take my dog home and not pay for X-rays. Google was more helpful than this place. Never again. They diagnosed her wrong or maybe that’s just how they make there money by lying.

  • Josie Barajas

Dr. Wilson and the entire staff are amazing! They truly care about your fur baby and do everything they can to get them healthy. They are very understanding of financial constraints and do their best to work with you. So grateful for them! Cupcake came to me a week ago so sick and was doing great util the night we brought her in. She's now getting a follow up and is like a brand new kitten again!

  • Janie Gonzalez

This was the first time we took our babies (cats) to this clinic and we were so amazed. So polite and understanding our cats needs. Explaining everything to us in detail what they are going to try to do if our cats let them. If they are stressed we would have to wait till the next visit. This is the first for us where they think of my babies first. Thank you this clinic is Awesome!!!

  • Ashley Shope

It came time for my elderly cat to be put to sleep, and Town and Country Veterinary Hospital was the only one in the area who would take us in on a Friday. I didn't have to wait long, and all of the staff were very respectful during a this sad and difficult time. The cremation service they offered was lovely as well. I am so grateful to have had Town and Country Veterinary Hospital!

  • Austyn Mills

I always come here anytime I need to for my 3 dogs, and they are so sweet here! They don’t try to talk you into spending a ton of money. They want to start small and work their way up if need be. I’ve never had a bad experience any time I’ve had to come! They are so understanding. I will never stop coming here! Thank you for always being so kind and gentle with my babies ❤️

  • jason alvarez

I took my cat's kitten there to get checked, she was sick. Staff was kind, knowledgeable, and answered all questions we had. Not just with my cat but watching them interact with all their clientele, humans & animals, they provided excellent service and professionalism. First time going here and will definitely be bringing my other cat to them from now on. Thank you!

  • Courtney Courter

Had to find a vet for our dog that torn up his knee on fairly short notice. They were able to get us in quickly for an exam and for surgery. Everything was clearly communicated and pricing was explained so well! Plus everyone was super kind & very patient with my nervous dog. They even had past pet owners donating items to thank them. Highly recommend

  • K

My dog had an incision that broke open on July 4th. My vet was closed the next day also. Luckily Town and Country had room to see him. They were caring and professional and fixed the incision even better than my previous vet. Overall it was a great experience considering the circumstances. Definitely would recommend.

  • Kimberly Mattson

Michael at Town and Country helped me with getting my Yoshi to Heaven yesterday. The staff, especially Michael, were so great and understanding of the pain I was going through with this decision. They had also been Yoshi's veterinary clinic for the past few years and have always been very caring and professional.

  • pinksparklygangsta

I will never go back there. They gave my dog an injection of a med that had killed dogs and I do believe it killed mine the very next day. We went in for an ear infection and the next day she was dead. I was treated terribly. The doc never came back to tell me what he did. I was emailed a pdf. So cold. So rude.

  • Amanda Tristan

The waiting room is very large which is nice to have space from other pets since our cats were nervous. The staff were friendly. I loved our vet Dr. Romeo. She was very nice and informative. She had lots of suggestions for pet care without being pushy. I felt like our babies were in good hands.

  • Lauren Dinan

The staff here was wonderful. They were kind, knowledgeable and very compassionate to our elderly cat. Dr. Chen and the tech took their time to explain our cats prognosis and to comfort us during an incredibly difficult time. Dr. Chen was exceptional, the world needs more vets like her.

  • Calico “Khlo” Cat

Highly recommend this place if your pup has an emergency. What I appreciated most is the honesty about which plan was absolutely necessary for treatment and what wasn’t so I wouldn’t burn a whole in my pocket. The vet tech Michael was great. My dog is feeling much better. Thank you.

  • Celleste Alfaro

Staff was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable! They had a ton of information for all the questions I asked! They genuinely made us feel at home, I appreciate the staff that helped me with me and my cats emergency! Would come back again and highly recommend town & country!!

  • Mariah Estrada

First time going as my dog was having allergic reaction and they made me feel he was safe with them instantly. I've had a bad experience with a emergency place before so I feel good I now have a place to bring my babies in case of emergency and know they'll be in the best care.

  • Hector Valles

It was our first visit here and let me tell you! It was a great experience compared to other late night Veterinarian hospitals. Fast, friendly and informative! The staff especially that assisted us was very kind and caring! Our dog Rocket is feeling better now! Thank you T&C.

  • Lisa Decker

I came in late on a Sunday with a really sick foster puppy. He only weighed 3 1/2 pounds, so I was really worried. They saw us promptly, everyone I dealt with, was extremely generous and kind and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them. The puppy is doing fabulously now!

  • jerri adams

I've been here twice and I have to say I absolutely am not impressed. If you have a true emergency, use them, however they will try and upsell you as most of these places do. If you don't have an emergency go somewhere else. I recommend Ace Veterinary Clinic.

  • Tracie Gardner

Veronica and Dr. ALSMADY WERE GREAT WITH MY PRECIOUS CAT. SHE TOLD ME ABOUT PREVENTATIVE CARE FOR HIS TEETH, RECOMMENDED SHOTS, AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS. ALL THE DOCTORS HERE ARE GREAT!!! I AM SO GREATFUL BECAUSE MY FUR-CHILDREN ARE SO IMPORTANT TO ME.

  • Evan Barnett

Cali receives GREAT care with the Vet's at Town and Country Hospital. Through exams and check ups are very informative and helpful in understanding Cali's health. We are glad to have Town and Country as our provider for our cat, Cali's routine health needs.

  • Juan D

Nice staff just didn't like that my dog was misdiagnosed after running multiple exams and at the ended it cost my husky her life after I took her to another vet which confirmed what this vet missed but by the time it was discovered it was already too late

  • Deborah Appelt

I had a heartbreaking experience of letting my baby girl cross over the rainbow bridge today. The staff at Town & Country were so kind and caring. I was able to hold my Lily as she drifted off to sleep. Thank you for your kindness and understanding staff.

We took our dog the morning after having a seizure during the night and the staff took us in without an appointment. They acted quickly and provided the medical care our dog needed. I am grateful to Dr. Alsmady and the vet techs for helping our dog.

Great place. I had problem with my kitten and go there without appointment. Doctor helped to understand what’s going on with my kitten and they sell me medications. It’s to early to see result, but at least cat not itches so much anymore.

Recently I had a very very sick cat find its way to my home. Town & Country Veterinary Hospital's Dr. V and Marisa helped me do what we could. They are open late, and I recommend you have them in your address book for pet emergencies.

  • Christopher Batarlis

Great Service same day when needed. We took our cat in, got great phone appointment, and they saw our cat same day, did blood tests and other care as needed. Took quite a while but it's a busy place and they didn't turn away. Thanks!

  • raul rodriguez

Staff was friendly and very compassionate. They explained what was going to happen and were very reassuring when we were scared about our dog’s condition. Luckily nothing major. Thanks you for caring for our Sandy.

  • Aaron Williams

Great experience all around. Dog had some issues and the only delay was for a dog that was hit by a car and was in critical need of care. Very happy with the service once I was brought back and seen by a provider.

  • vivian morales

6/22/19 at 2 AM Kyo threw up. It was the amount of about half his dinner. Mush, mostly digested kibble. I didn't think anything of it and went to sleep. Figured it was just an upset stomach.

  • Lisa Cline

They were great! Let me come in with no appointment. They were open on Labor Day when most were closed or didn’t have appts. They saw my kitty, gave her meds that worked great! I’d return!
