Before visiting the temple, I had no idea that THE 13th JYOTHIRLINGA is consecrated in this Temple. I had only heard that there is 13th JYOTHIRLINGA in the southern hemisphere (12 in Nepal and India - Northern hemisphere). "Sydney is very lucky to have the one and only JYOTHIRLINGA - of southern hemisphere". Unfortunately not many people seems to be aware of that and also unaware of the power of a JYOTHIRLINGA. FOR ME, Just to know that Our BholeNath's JYOTHIRLINGA is consecrated here was a source of immense pleasure and pride. Moreover the Auspicious JYOTHIRLINGA'S consecration was actually commissioned by, Everybody's favourite, Late King Birendra Bir Bikram ShahDev added to my amusement. You can really feel the vibes from the JYOTHIRLINGA. My heart cried seeing that there is not much of a management and the support received by the temple, but also I have strong faith and belief that This is a JYOTHIRLINGA and has immense capabilities on its Own. So plz don't get discouraged or judge by the look of the temple if you don't find it very pretty or five star service like. Moreover the name of the Temple is MUKTI (salvation) Gupteshwor (Sacred-secret Deity) - pardon me if my translation is not close enough. One can only imagine the power that this temple or JYOTHIRLINGA beholds. This has been my experience and wish the same for everyone who have visited (darshan) the temple or for those who wants to; and make their life super grateful. Jai Sambho Jai BholeNath - Shiv Sambho. Aum Namah Shivayah!

It is Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is Supreme God one of Trinity of Supreme Gods as explained in Hindu Mythology. Two others are Lord Vishnu (The Manger), Lord Brahma (The Creator) and Lord Shiva is "The destructor" of this Universe. These are duties assigned to these three supreme Gods. This Trinity is actually reflection of One Absolute Power, The Almighty. This Temple is newly constructed at far outskirt of Sydney at Minto suburb. Having a very big land plot on disposal, this Temple is situated at top of a small hillock from where surrounding scenery is also lovely. Temple is architecturally constructed with many a deities of Hindu Gods with sanctum santorum having Shiva Lingam as chief Deity. Very near to Minto Station at about half an hour walk. No public transport direct hoti temple. So from Minto Station to temple on own vehicle or take taxi. Best on foot from Railway Station Minto.

Peaceful location. No work tension and no worries. Main sanctum surrounding contains pictures of different form of devi as para sakthi. Outside temple one side lord siva statue and other side hanuman statue are there. Canteen available outside temple on week ends. Price cost aroundb5-10$ depends on item you choose. Inside temple premises there is vinayagar temple and miniature of 12 jyothi langaa and small temple of navagraha . Sunday will be the best day to spend time. From central you can get train to minto on 23 platform. Routes may change so check before you get into train.from minto station it is around 1.5 kms walkable distance.

This controversial organisation and it's surrounding people use this place to fulfill their own benefits. The lady and her husband who seems to be very arrogant. If you go their for a prayers and a pooja they won't let you in until you don't buy a Pooja Thali from them.No body knows who it's managing board members except Mr.Mishra.Even their website don't show that. The financial activities of the temple are also not transparent. So don't go there to make these people rich who are doing nothing for the community.

I feel serene, blissed and spiritually charged whenever I visit there. I suggest bhakts to go there for evening Arati which starts at 7, so be inside before 7 when the gate might close. You can sit down infront of the shivalinga and meditate or relax your mind. The shivalinga i believe is from Nepal and originated naturally which you can tell just my looking and admire the real god idol feel which we get in Nepal or India.

It's a very beautiful and peaceful place which was established in 1990's. This is Lord Shiva's temple which also has other gods such as lord kala bhairava, lord ganesh, Lord ram, Lord hanuman, Lord Krishna and many others. Parking is available in the front side of the temple and also in streets. Toilets are also available here. There is also a canteen which serves basically the Indian food such as dosa and poori.

Amazing place. Simply outstanding to find such in the south western suburbs of Sydney. A testament of courage and conviction to hear the struggles that ensued simply to build a place for like minded worshippers. Despite some closed minds, this was constructed and is worth a visit. Certainly cheaper than an asian trip to quell ones quest for knowledge. Recommended

Very beautiful and peaceful place where I would I like to visit again and again . Pujari Ji treated us well and introduced to the temple and functions held in the mandir. Sad to read about other people comments about management. Me too donated and pujari Ji gave us receipt for the donation . Dnt know about other people's experience.

I didn't know that "Mukti Gupteshwar Temple is 13th jyotirlinga Gupteshwar - an incarnate of Lord Shiva" is in Sydney, Australia. Remaining 12 Jyotirlingas are in India. I see many people have uploaded pictures of Shri Shiva temple, which is just beside this temple but not the same. Enough parking space for a regular day.

We visited this temple in "Shravani Somvar" but behaviour of Hindi speaking preist was so rude and arrogant. He literly scolded us for taking prasadam by our own. Is it untouchability issue? Come to India..Mahakal..Kedarnath...Badrinath..Amarnath You wont face any discrimination. THIS PLACE IS RUN BY MONEY MINDED PEOPLE

  • Sadi B

Temple/ Nepali Guru is nice and peaceful but the owner of this temple is an arrogant indian man who actually has no respect for visitors/bhaktas. Just to do 2mins puja he charged $51 with no prasad or thali. He was so arrogant and it totally looked like a business. Total business in the name of dharma!!

  • pandurangarao sripathi vittal

Very beautiful temple of Lord SHIVA. This is below the ground level. Very peaceful place to meditate. There is a separate meditation hall just adjacent to the main Temple. A beautiful Bhole Nath and Nandi idols are outside the Temple. A canteen serving Indian food and tiffins is just outside the Temple.

  • Umesh Dhungana

Even though it says its a gift from Nepalese King, its very rare to find any taste regarding Nepalese culture. Even the priests speaks in Hindi or English. The temple design, the statues, the bhajans played over there and the chants-are filled with Indian cultural influence.

  • Apollo

I have huge respect for those whonhelped to establish this place. But this place has gone too commercial. Went on nepalese teej festival charged 5 for parking, i have seen they charge 25bx for thali.. but so called panditis dont read properly very frustating.
