Spend your money elsewhere! Beware, we have stayed in many B&B's throughout the US and Abroad, and this is the lowliest of them all thus far!! I honestly feel a bit scammed - there are limited photos of the rooms for a reason. They want to secure your non-refundable payment before you actually see what you're getting, because once you're here, you're stuck! We stayed in the Carriage House 1 'suite' that includes the kitchen and dining area. We were attracted to this B&B because of their beautiful online photos and kid friendly rooms. We were honestly speechless with disappointment when we opened the door to our room. I have listed my pros and cons, then a synopsis of improvements needed for them to dare charge anyone for the fees they currently do. Seriously, I'm warning you that you'll likely be disappointed in the value if you book here. We chose this room because it is 'kid friendly' and because they have a jacuzzi tub. Pros Beautiful land Friendly staff Good breakfast Beautiful, small, stained glass window in our bedroom - Carriage House 1. Plenty of windows, but garden level so we didn't have shades open as other guests walk by them to get to their room. Close to pool Cons Scratchy sheets. Aged mirrors that were not clear. Old, Stained window dressings. Stained shower dressings. Many exposed cords. Mold. Tv was not mounted, yet this is the kid-friendly rooming option. Old electronics. Very dated decor. Worn decorative pillows on couch. No outlets near bed for phones. Dated kitchen. Old, rusting fixtures. Dated furniture throughout. No upgrades. Wood shingles outlining the interior walls as decor. Shingles!! It seems as though the only thing that has been changed in our room, since 1998, are the sheets. Serious room upgrades needed. Bathroom tile is discolored. Bedroom carpet is worn. Based on current decor trends (reviewed 2017) 'Suite' decorations would be considered ugly, outdated, thrifty. There is a difference between antique, vintage, and thrift. Decor would be considered thrift in our room because it is not preserved, nor is most of it in good condition. Furniture is worn, broken, rusting, discolored, and scratched. Staff was friendly at check in, but our room is in a different house across the street. We weren't shown to our room, which should be customary, we were pointed in the direction and sent on our way to find it. Red flag #1. Room needs complete overhaul. I can't believe they get away with this. 1 star value room. Came out to almost $300 per night (with fees, taxes, etc.), a complete joke. Spend the extra $60 and stay at Hotel Emma down the way and see vintage done right! I tried to not let it affect me, but this B&B put a damper on my San Antonio experience. There is an answering machine and a phone book in the room! A free, local, San Antonio food magazine on the central table that is from 2014! Just a few more details to let you know what we're dealing with here. All our clothes smelled old when we got home, like a Thrift store, after sitting in the room. Good design is timeless. I understand wanting to keep the history of the property alive, but this is definitely NOT the way to do that! Upon checkout, we got to peek into a room in the main house. WOW! This room is on a completely different caliber and looks like a traditional B&B, I didn't expect that level of drop off from the main house and the carriage house! DO NOT STAY IN THE CARRIAGE HOUSE!

We confirmed our reservation on February 6, 2021 for a stay on April 8-10, 2021. We confirmed the Chinoiseie Room. On April 7th, while on our trip, we received an email from the owner, Don Noble. This is a portion of what it said. From Don- "Please reply by email or call us if your arrival time has changed. We also wanted to let you know that we have given you a complimentary upgrade to a King room at the Oge House: The Alhambra Room." Our email response- "Thanks for the upgrade, but we would prefer to stay in our original room, the Chinoiserie Room." Don's response- "Greg and Betsy Unfortunately, the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Oge House have been rented to a group for their exclusive use, so the Chinoiserie room is not available. We had hoped that a complimentary upgrade to a more expensive room would compensate for not getting the specific room you picked. Unfortunately we only have one other option, which would be a substantial upgrade to the Castle Howared suite, at an additional cost, but this is available at the moment if you want to do that instead. Of course if you would prefer to have a refund instead and not stay with us, you may also choose to do that as well. Would you please call me when you arrive so that I can meet you in the parking lot and show you the room ?" This email took place one day before our arrival while we were all ready traveling around Texas. It would be time consuming to make a change and we didn't know exactly what to expect. Do you see the lovely photo of the house and all the write up? We were not given access to the house at all (it is a locked front door) and we were put in a room with an entrance below the stairs that you see (Harry Potter?) and owner claimed this as an upgrade. We spoke with the people who supposedly had booked the entire house and they said that they had booked their group well in advance. Don knew that he double-booked the room that we had confirmed. And by advising us 1 day before, we were stuck. I can provide pictures by anyone who requests. The lower entrance area was dirty, unappealing. Our purchased breakfast (continental due to covid19) was not provided on the 2nd day. Our Master Card bill reflected we were billed $16 over our confirmed price. Need I go on? When I told Don that he knew well in advance that he had double booked the room, he blamed it on Covid? Huh? I understand the idea of nabbing any possible business, however, I looked back on the reviews and this has happened in the past as well. Also, as I mentioned to Don, he could have made a phone call to us long ago, explained he booked a group and let us have the time to select another room or location. Very disappointing as we spend a lot of time choosing quaint locations to stay when we travel.

Valentine's Day was on a Thursday 2019 and we stayed in the Jackson House room 3. My husband and I are 34 year olds who don't see each other but one week a month because of his profession and I must say that staying a bed and breakfast is something we have always wanted to do but now that the experience has been had we have learned that it probably something we will enjoy much later in life. The room was nice, a little too crowded but if you don't pack like you are going on a month long Persian vacation the way I do you should be fine. The bathroom was decent and well the 2 person jet tub was nice it was a small eye sore because it looked dirty but was not but could maybe use a refinishing. The windows in the bathroom did NOT open and for some that may not have been a problem but with no bathroom vent you definitely don't want to be in your room lets say if your husbands stomach is acting up and the smell comes creeping into the room. The house had cracks in the walls that were super deep in the hall and while some may have looked at it sideways I thought it gave character to the old time place. The parlor/living room area was filled with furniture and old books to match the era and you could smell the old of the house which was fine to me. We only ran into one party late in the evening in the dining area that had chocolate chip cookies and coffees and teas...they also provided a couple of decanters of sherri should one want a drink. It was nice but knowing you are sharing a house for a romantic night and knowing you are not alone makes you not want to be intimate or even have conversation above a whisper. Breakfast was amazing and the only thing that could have made it better was not having to leave the B&B and drive a couple blocks away to get it. It really is nice tho and maybe when I am older or im need of peace and quiet or thinking time will I try one again. Also, the outdoor needs better lighting. Maybe a security sensor light when you walk out. Our place did have a hot tub in the back that was in a little house looking area and there were broken staind glass pieces and the lights did not work so the tub may have not worked but could have been nice for someone who did not want to leave the area.

BEFORE YOU STAY - LOOK AT THE REVIEWS MORE CLOSELY. The top reviews and overall score do not reflect our (or apparently many others') experience with this host!!! If you have to have any interaction with the owner (Don) beyond basic check-in process it will ruin your stay, even though the rooms and house are quite nice. Don made our experience at the Jackson House unpleasant. At check-in, the business failed to get a credit card from me for the taxes that were in addition to what was covered by the airBNB payment, which I was of course happy to pay. He left a note under our door to state this saying I needed to call him, in which it was insinuated that we were scoundrels trying to avoid paying this. He then left me a voice message (which he knew I could not pick up since I was travelling out of country without a cellphone plan). I did not have a chance to go by the office to give them my credit card immediately the next day, as I was travelling for work and had commitments in both the day and evening. Given their office is only stated to be open until around 5pm, this made it close to impossible to drop by. The next day, he came to the room and harassed my boyfriend who was staying with me (as I was travelling for business, my boyfriend was not allowed to pay for the additional taxes on his credit card, it had to be through me). Upon hearing that I had long work days and would not be able to come by immediately to the office, he then threatened to come knock on our door at 7 am to get the payment. He never apologized for the business' mistake in not getting the credit card and continued to harass and bully me and my boyfriend throughout our stay, Based on the reviews I have since read online, this is common practice with his guests. I found his behaviour offensive, unpleasant and disruptive to my trip. If you're still reading this, you are lucky - I am sure he is going to try and get this taken down, based on the experiences of others on Trip Advisor, etc.

Four family members and I visited San Antonio in August to attend my son's graduation from the Army AIT Combat Medic program. We needed 2 rooms, and we're spoiled travelers so we like to have very nice, comfortable accommodations. The Oge House at Noble Inns fit the bill. It was exquisite, from the beautiful furnishings, to the well-appointed bathrooms, to the delicious food - everything was five-star. The hostess was gracious and the entire staff did an excellent job of making sure our needs were met and we were happy. Breakfast was served in the elegant dining room, and it was fabulous. I had a special dietary request for a low-carb meal option. The staff went out of their way to make it happen, even finding low-carb yogurt and pairing it with mixed berries and cheese for our last morning when we were served breakfast in our room because we had to leave prior to dining room hours. Although I couldn't partake, my family said the chocolate chip cookies served every afternoon in the grand hall were amazing. I think my husband ate 3 every day. There was also coffee, lemonade, and afternoon apertifs each day. I can't say enough about this place, the staff, and the entire experience. The stunning antebellum mansion sits right on the Riverwalk and is close to several local attractions. The King William Historic District, where its located, is filled with magnificent homes, and a couple are open for tours. There's a park nearby, although the grounds of the house are like having a personal park right outside your door. It would be a gorgeous place to have a wedding. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to San Antonio. I highly recommend Noble Inns, especially the Oge House property, to anyone visiting the area.

From the time we met the owner Don at the front door and he looked at us, he opened the door one fourth of the way and asked, "are you checking in". Don realized he was holding the door practically closed & opened the door the entire way once I answered yes. Once we realized the three properties did not all have breakfast on at each home and we had to travel back to the main Noble residence in the morning to eat, we inquiring about transferring to the Noble House from Jackson House. We previewed rooms at Noble and when I asked if we can preview our room at the Jackson house we were told he did not have time to take us and did not want us "running around" by ourselves with the key. Running around?? Since we had already been given the key we advised him that most hotels let guests preview their rooms if they requested. I told him we wouldn't disturb the room in any way. He then repeated himself and said he did not want us running around through the residence with a key and bothering things. The way he said this was very insulting and he did not try to make it any sound any other way. If my wife & I could have received a refund and went to another hotel I would have. It was our 24th wedding anniversary and my wife was visibly unhappy and she dealt with it the best possible, but was very disappointed. If she would have seen the bug (Silverfish) that jumped out of the bath room towel when I pulled it off of the bathtub she would really have been disappointed but I was able to kill it before she saw it. LOL. I would never stay at any of these properties again. We were made to feel definitely less than welcomed. We can only hope that it wasn't because we are minorities but with his demeanor, one can only wonder...

With regret this was the worst B&B experienced. My wife and I are career airline employees and 90% of our travel worldwide is with B&B's. It was our 20th Anniversary. In a four/4 night stay we never met the Proprietors. One of the nice benefits of a B&B is interacting with the owners and learning interesting information about the home and nearby local restaurants and places of particular interest. This makes a B&B special over a hotel. We were checked in nicely but no different than a hotel; professional and quick. Our room was off the porch and the brightest lights possible were left on all night. The curtains were not good enough to diminish all the light. We had to declare upon arrival (we were allowed check-in an hour early for which we are grateful) what time we wanted breakfast EACH of the mornings during our stay. Really? During the day you had to ask for and pay a $ to get a Coke. No means to get something and sign off what you took and have it charged to the room. Really tacky !! The House is awesome; built in 1857 and wonderful history of the area ! Being in the House and walking around the neighborhood was romantic and lovely !! A great location; we could walk anywhere along the Riverwalk and to downtown San Antonio and Mission Alamo. Lovely city and friendly people. We took the on and off bus to the other Missions in the area to learn their history. We had perfect weather which is always a plus. The breakfasts were lovely in presentation and delicious ! The servers were engaging and pleasant ! We are appreciative of the good but with the price we paid I would not recommend Noble Inn to anyone...

First off, there was no mention that this suite is in the basement (this wouldn't have been my choice). And most important, the whole place could use a good cleaning. It appears that no one has spent a great deal of time cleaning behind, underneath anything in quiet some time. There were huge cobwebs behind our headboard which was about 10 inches off the wall and you could clearly see behind it. When I looked closer, the back side of the headboard had mold/mildew growing on it. There was also mildew on the front of the mini fridge (these things happen in a basement but that's why there are humidifiers). But the one that was the worst was the big patch of black mold on the ceiling of our unit from what appeared to be an old leak from a bathroom above. We killed 3 roaches in our room and there was a large dead one in the hallway from Friday - Sunday. There were cobwebs on the lamp at our table in the breakfast room and in the windowsills. Just overall looks like no one has spent a great deal of time paying attention to the details in a while. We dealt with it because we were only staying 2 nights. If this were my place, I would hire a top notch cleaning crew to come in and scour it :( Another thing that we didn't quiet understand were the beautiful, huge porches with outdoor furniture but only one set had seat cushions??? If you sat on the back porch you were sitting directly on the wicker furniture which wasn't comfortable at all. The upside is that the home is beautiful and it is in a great location - we loved the neighborhood and walked almost everywhere we went. For the money, probably wouldn't recommend.

Will be staying here again. From the moment we booked at The Oge House, my boyfriend and I were completely accommodated by the inn's staff. We had a wedding to attend at 3:00 and were allowed an early check-in to change, which greatly reduced our stress of travelling. When arriving at the inn, we had a private parking lot which we shared with only about five other cars -- this made me feel very secure. Pictures don't do this place justice; walking around the property, you feel like you've been transported into another time in history, wondering which historical figures graced these grounds before you. Mr. Noble, the inn owner, was very accessible the entire time, and gave us great recommendations to eateries in the nearby area. The room was spectacular. We stayed in the Steves Room, which was beautifully decorated and filled to the brim with amenities. The bed gave for an amazingly comfortable sleep, and, being in such a secluded district, there were no traffic noises or loud disturbances throughout the night and morning. Breakfast was the perfect way to start the day off: reservations were made for our table when we checked in and we just had to walk across the hall to the most wonderful-smelling dining area in the morning. The meal consisted of a bacon and kale frittata, sausage patty, and a warm croissant drizzled in cinnamon butter, with cantaloupe and grapes in a separate dish. C'est magnifique. Like I said, this will not be the last time we book at Noble Inns. Thank you so much for this pleasant experience.

Our stay at the Oge House of the Noble Inns was lovely. The house is beautiful, well-maintained, and charmingly decorated. We stayed three nights on a weekend and were impressed with how quiet the house was even with full rooms. We didn't hear other guests moving around or talking next door, above us, or below us. That proved to be invaluable for a good night's sleep. Our Steves room was quaintly furnished and well-equipped with amenities and helpful items. The air conditioning and ceiling fan worked excellently to keep the room cool. The breakfasts were tasty and a good size... not too big but not too small. The freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies along with port and sherry for a late-day snack were wonderful. There is an extensive DVD collection in the common sitting room, and our room had its own TV and DVD player. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location is great... the river walk is just behind the Oge House, and the downtown area is an easy 10-minute walk from the house along the river. The King William neighborhood where the Inns are located is also very neat and has some great restaurants. We used the city bus system to get to other parts of town, such as the Pearl Brewery area, and it was easy, safe, and cheap to use. We also used it to get to and from the airport, so there really is no need to bother with renting a car when you stay at these Inns.

We stayed two nights at the Pancoast Carraige House and enjoyed our stay. The service was great and the accommodations were clean, but slightly dated. Breakfast was good both days and we liked the dining room setup at the Oge house. The innkeeper was quick to help with any questions or issues we had and was very friendly. Additionally, the neighborhood is beautiful and we really enjoyed walking around to sightsee. There were a few negatives also, but nothing major. The owners use the garage under the bedroom we stayed in and every time they would open the garage door it created a very loud noise. Also, in the common area at the Carraige House, there was a binder with information on local attractions, restaurants and museums, but some of the information was over 15 years old and clearly no longer accurate. Also the information for the guests on the inn (binder located in the room itself) was outdated. For example, it said that for breakfast we would need to go across the street to the Oge house, which would be locked. It said we would need to use the code (which wasn't provided) or the doorbell to enter. The next morning we learned (after ringing the doorbell) that the doors are actually left unlocked at breakfast time. Again, none of these issues were too major, just things to be aware of. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

What a disappointment! We've stayed at these B&Bs in San Antonio before but they seem to be more run down as time progresses. Located in the beautiful and culturally rich King William neighborhood, there are a few properties within walking distance of each other. This trip, we stayed at the Oge house, built beginning in 1864. We stayed there about a year ago. At one time, this house was a veritable showcase. Now, the beds are perhaps the worst we've ever slept on. Our room had very few electrical outlets, an issue with all of the Noble properties in King William so we came prepared with multiple extension cords for computers and cell phones. The interior and exterior window surfaces were very dirty as were the draperies. There was mold on the shower curtain and the stopper in the bath tub couldn't be used for taking a bath. The wall adjacent to the commode on the supply side of the tub showed severe water damage with buckling of the dry wall or plaster/lath. Wood plank flooring is in very bad repair and was not clean. Room furnishings were a conglomeration of broken period pieces and cheap, Chinese-made decorations. Upon checkout, we were asked about our accommodations but the person neglected to write them down. This demonstrated a complete lack of concern by management and, consequently, the owner(s). We won't be returning.

It was beautiful. You may be wonderimg why so many 1 & 5 star reviews? I think that it would be a great stay without any interaction with the owner. If there is interaction you will hate it because he doesn't know how to talk to people. My brother and I went on vacation because he just graduated. I booked a couple of nights at the carriage house so that we could have our own space. When the time came to make up the pullout couch we noticed there wasn't any sheets or a blanket for him. No biggie I texted the owner (even though it says emergency only texts after 9). He didn't text back so I took the bed cover off of my bed and put it on the couch. He finally texted back (1h 45m later) that he wouls bring some over. Cool. I opened the door and seen him coming so I just left it open. He brought the blankets and "scolded" us for using the bedding from the bed. He said it wasnt meant to be slept on top of and to put it back in the bedroom. Like what else were we supposed to do? It's not our fault they didn't do their job. He also said something because I had the door open when he came up. He said to keep it closed at all times because of bugs (even though I found 2 cochroaches during my stay).

We enjoyed our stay and hope to come again. We enjoyed learning about the King William District, which is such a contrast to downtown. It was an easy walk to get from our bed and breakfast to the Riverwalk and other central attractions. In the evening we could have a relaxing walk back to this tranquil neighborhood. The staff were unobtrusive and helpful. Especially nice were Serena and Cherith. Our rooms were clean, well stocked, beautifully decorated. We stayed in a room with a view of the river; it was a feast for the eyes. My only request would be to have good coffee available in the morning before breakfast. The coffee served with our delicious breakfasts was very good. It was only available from 8:30 - 9:30am with the meal. Keurig coffee was available at all times in the lobby or the rooms, but I find its scorched taste undrinkable. In the afternoons, I would go to a nearby restaurant for a coffee. Extremely helpful was a walking map which was keyed to mark various cafes and restaurants, both in the neighborhood and the Riverwalk. I appreciated this; it was easy to navigate to where I wanted to go. Loved our stay and hope to come again.

You can stop searching; this is where you want to stay. Read on for insights on staying here. My wife and I planned a quick getaway to San Antonio for our one year anniversary. After extensive research on places to stay, we found the Noble Inns and I’m glad we did! The whole experience was very welcoming, our room was very cozy, and breakfast was impressive. The estate has three different houses and our room was in the Pancoast Carriage House. The second floor shares a common area for the two rooms, including a reading room, kitchen, and dining table. Our room had its own bathroom, bed, couch, fireplace, and more. The bed wasn’t terribly comfortable and the roofline made it a bit challenging for a tall person, but all in all we loved the room. The shower was a little tight, but had great water pressure. The breakfast was an actual plated meal rather than some cheap food line. We were very impressed with the breakfast and loved the experience. Location wise, it’s close to the Riverwalk but not in the heart of the hustle and bustle. Easily a 20 minute walk or a $6 Uber to the Alamo, the hopping parts of Riverwalk, etc.

  • Melissa Waits Ferguson Jannise

Breakfast was in a pretty room but an egg is still and egg and since we stayed at the Jackson House, we had to leave our building to travel to the main Oge House to be served, we might as well went elsewhere and saved the money we spent on that same egg! Room was efficient and clean, except the bathroom had a little issue with the wooden seat needing replaced as it was very worn, as well as the shower curtain, it had some mold stains. (I did take pictures) and although the house was quiet, we heard the people in the room next to use snoring loudly both nights we were there. (We did report the snoring to the clerk the morning of our departure but she brushed it off as if things like this were expected!) The pictures of the place on line are really "juiced" up compared to what you see when you get there. Everyone was very friendly though. I talked my boyfriend into this bed and breakfast experience over a hotel but the only thing he could say was that it was like staying at his mom and dad's with his drunk uncle snoring in the room next door. We won't stay at this place again, it's overrated and overpriced!

  • Deb Bingler

I loved the privacy and comfort of my room at the Jackson House. It's a beautiful home away from home. I loved the old fashioned romantic feel of the house that was displayed in every last detail. The breakfasts were superb. I'm not usually a breakfast person, but when the meals are home-cooked to perfection in the adjoining kitchen, I found myself looking forward to each breakfast and the wonderful culinary experience. The bed and breakfasts are located in a sleepy, historic neighborhood that would make you think you're miles from downtown San Antonio. But, in fact, it was a short 10-15 minute walk to the Convention Center, which was perfect for the convention I attended. Staff were kind, understanding, and eager to make each persons stay exceptional. I don't know that I can say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay except that it was perfect and I am definitely looking forward to an opportunity to stay at a Noble Inn again very soon. I highly recommend everyone stay at one of the Noble Inns if you ever have the opportunity.

Our experiences with period homes has been mixed. We like to support those who are trying to preserve history, so we give the historic homes and hotels a try. We are often disappointed but recognize the great expense to renovate, update, and maintain buildings that are old and not expected to accommodate fixtures and systems that we enjoy in our modern homes. Too many of our experiences have turned out a little disappointing, but not here at the Oge House. We loved understanding and living the history of this grand old home! The breakfast was worth getting up for, the beds were worth the anticipation. Our room was nice, cozy, and decorated well and held to the standards of the graceful old home they adorned. The staff was very friendly, but not interested in inserting themselves into our business unless we initiated the discussion. We liked that. Don and Lisle have a great home here and a great system to keep guests happy and comfortable. Thanks for a great stay and for supporting our fantastic week in San Antonio!

My husband and I had reservations for the festivities in 2020. Because of the virus we did not feel safe to travel. We called Noble Inn three months in advance. The owner said we could not cancel or we would loose our money. So we rescheduled for November since they rescheduled the festivities for November. We found out that the festivities were going to be cancelled because of the virus getting worse. We called Noble Inn to let them know that the festivities were cancelled so we wanted to cancel our reservations. The owner told us we couldn't cancel and that we can still go because they were open. Why would we go if there is a global virus to sit in a room. We were told we would loose our money we tried to call our credit card and they said the Noble Inn said we did not give them enough notice. I am closing my acct with CITI. Noble Inn are thieves ! If I could rate them a ZERO I would! I guess they need to steal from people so they can stay in business.

It was our 10th anniversary and I had never stayed in a bed and breakfast and we stayed in the Riverview suite. I wished the room would have had a ceiling in bedroom, by keeping the AC on 72 I got kinda hot. The bed was very clean and the bathroom was very beautiful, I love the shower and the jet tub so much. I believe the prices was kinda high but for our first experience it was worth it. We had a great breakfast both days. The room we stayed in was secluded and very quiet. When I booked the room I picked another room at first because my lack of experience in picking the perfect room and so after a short time I changed from Blenhiem suite to Riverview suite because of being our anniversary and our 1st time staying there. The staff was so helpful in making sure I got what I wanted. It was a wonderful trip to San Antonio. The Oge house itself especially the grounds was so pretty. Thank you for making our 1st experience memorable for our special anniversary.

  • A S

Though the room was a bit warm, the amenities were impressive, and Chareth was kind enough to get me a fan which helped a lot with the temperature. The staff were quite accommodating, pleasant, and a pleasure to talk to. The grounds were beautiful, and I had a lovely view from the Riverview Suite. It was private and quiet, which I liked very much. After the discount I got for the promotion they were running, as well as the free private parking, my stay ended up being less expensive than any of the primary hotels on the Riverwalk, which was under a mile walk away. In the end, my stay was within budget, good location, very pleasant, and well worth every penny. I am telling everyone I know about the place. I believe the room I got was the most luxurious room they had, and as I mentioned, it was cheaper, after the deal, than any of the major hotels, which have smaller rooms. Oh, and the breakfasts...way better than any hotel. Wonderful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Oge House. This gem is right off of the riverwalk, and is in a very convenient location. We really liked that it was out of the chaos of the riverwalk, but close enough to enjoy a walk to the touristy area, if that's what you're desiring. We stayed in the Blenheim suite, which was gorgeous and perfect in so many ways. The house and grounds were beautifully kept. We liked that we were able to choose what breakfast time was best for us, and the food was delightful-nothing too heavy, but very tasty. You are given the option to list any dietary restrictions or requests; I didn't include any, but had wished I had another meat option, as I don't eat pork sausage, but my better half liked that he got double servings! The keepers were very kind and accommodating, so I would suggest any guests to share their concerns; these folks are there to please! We will most definitely be back.

My husband selected this wonderful bed and breakfast for our 5 day stay in San Antonio in May 2013. The house was just beautiful and filled with wonderful antiques. We stayed in the River View suite and was just as pictured. The bed was very comfortable. Our inn keeper, Megan, was great and very helpful. She shared tons of information about the area. We enjoyed a deliciously prepared breakfast served on beautiful china every morning prepared by Megan herself. She was very thoughtful in preparing special food items for me since I am lactose intolerant and gluten sensitive. We ate at 2 local Mexican restaurants just a couple of blocks from the B&B as recommended and both were quite tasty. Not like the high priced tourist ones on River Walk. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch after coming back from dinner each night. We would definitely stay here again and have raved about it to our family and friends.

This is an incredibly beautiful home in an exquisite neighborhood that just happens to be conveniently located minutes walking distance from the downtown Riverwalk! Although; at the suggestion and with the map provided by the owners, we spent most of our time exploring the local neighborhood flare of restaurants, ice houses, and beautiful homes! For my wife and I to have our wedding at the Oge House was a magnificent beginning to our new life together. Take a minute each day to talk with the staff and you’ll begin not to feel like a guest but as a welcome member of their family. The gourmet breakfast each morning was the icing on the cake for us. Each day we were more impressed than the previous! If you are going to San Antonio there is not a better place to stay than with the Nobles. You will feel simply at home. And maybe we’ll see you there? Because we are already planning on coming back!

I googled "romantic getaways" and found the Oge house. Made a booking for my newly married son and his lovely wife. When we arrived to check them in we were greeted by Don Noble himself. Don willingly gave us a tour of the house and told us more about his history in the area and the other guest houses he owns nearby. The house is stunning - just like you see on the photographs and my daughter in law and son were delighted with the gift. We came back later that evening, parked our car in their safe and big parking lot and walked from there along the river to the main section of the riverwalk. Wonderful. My son reported that they slept like babies and that they breakfast was wonderful and served with care. On the next visit it will be for my wife and I. This place is everything you could wish for and the people running it make it even better. Highly, highly recommend.

We had the pleasure of staying at both the Jackson House and the Oge House. Jackson House was very charming with a bathroom that had a claw foot tub, rain shower head and plenty of space for toiletries. The only fault I could possibly find was we had to go to the Oge House for breakfast. It would have been just that much more enjoyable to have breakfast where we were staying. Due to a plumbing problem we were moved from the Jackson House to a room upstairs in the Oge House. Once again our room was beautiful and peaceful, however between the two, my preference would have been the Jackson House with it's charming cozy colour scheme and spacious bathroom. Overall it was an exceptional experience with an enormous chef worthy breakfast every day. We would definitely make reservations at Noble Inns in the future and highly recommend them to our friends.

  • Michelle Ovath

Quaint & quiet location. We liked how it was walking distance from the Riverwalk. We stayed in the Carriage House. When we first opened the door we saw a Pepsi can on the kitchen island. We wondered how clean the room really was. We saw a few cobwebs & dust on the lights & furniture. The website stated that each room is provided bath robes & ours did not have any. The area where the carpet meets the marble tile from the bedroom to the bathroom was uneven & we kept tripping over the tiling. We called Don, the owner, & told him about the trip hazard & he did not seem too concerned. The stay was fine, but wish we set the bar a bit lower when we arrived before getting disappointed. Definitely won’t be booking another stay with Noble Inns in the future.

i booked there since it appeared to be a good blend of old and new. the new part being the jet tub looked like it could be refinished and there was very little water pressure coming out of the crusty shower head. the paint in the bathroom was cracked probably due to there being no ventilation. the cookies and lemonade were nice and the house was pleasant. the next morning we went to the main house for the included breakfast. we were told the door would be unlocked during breakfast service but when we arrived at our scheduled time at 9 we had to ring the bell. the person who opened the door told us we were early and seemed put out. the breakfast we were served had burnt chorizo and over cooked everything else. we did not bother to finish or ask for something else since we didn’t feel particularly welcome anyway so we left.

The staff at Noble Inns was so friendly and accommodating. We loved breakfast in the Oge house. Not only was it the best food and fresh coffee that we have had in recent memory, but the surroundings were beautiful and serene. Our room in Jackson House was smaller than we expected, as was the box of chocolates that we ordered, but the house was comfortable and the complimentary refreshments were great. As part of our package, we purchased dinner for two at the Liberty Bar, a separate establishment. Neither of us enjoyed a single item that was ordered, from the complimentary bread to the dessert. Also, somehow thought it would be a romantic environment as we were celebrating our anniversary, but it was very casual. The staff was wonderful and attentive, but the food just wasn't impressive. Enjoyed the Noble Inns though!

  • Carolyn Dubose

We stayed in the Riverview suite, very nice, had our own private porch looking out over the back garden and could view the Riverwalk. This is in the historic district, about a 1/2 mile walk to the restaurants and shops on the Riverwalk. Very quite neighborhood, very quiet room, never heard anyone else in the house above or below our room. Check in was fast and easy, very helpful staff, even had umbrellas for our use to walk the Riverwalk during the rains we had during our visit. This is the best B&B we have ever stayed at and one of the best locations. We never got in our car to go anywhere once we checked in, just walked to wear we wanted to go, mainly the Riverwalk. Everything was decorated very pretty for Christmas. Would highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed, would definitely stay here again.

  • Jamye Clough

Quaint, historical b n b located very close to the riverwalk and shopping. When booking your room via their website you have the option of three different beautifully restored b n b’s. You can book a large room with comfy bed and convenient amenities or you can book an entire house. With the whole pandemic issues, the breakfast is continental and can be eaten in your room or on a porch. The owner’s family is some of the first settlers in San Antonio which is cool in itself. I personally love the indoor pool in the Jackson House which is the one one that is rented as a whole house, so it’s great for reunions, weddings etc. You can’t go wrong with any of the rooms/ properties.

This was one of the worst hotel / B&B experiences I have ever had. I rarely leave reviews but I felt an obligation to anybody considering a stay here. I'll start with the positives: the house was very nice, with a beautiful location right on the riverwalk. Unfortunately, every interaction we had with the owner was unpleasant and unprofessional. He talked over me, never letting me finish a sentence, and when my son stood up for me he said “you are being very rude.” He reprimanded us and treated us like children instead of guests when we made reasonable requests, threatening to keep property we left in the room after we raised these concerns with him. I can not in good conscience recommend staying here or at any other property owned by Noble Inns.

  • Doug W

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff is very warm and welcoming and the accommodations were perfect for us! We enjoyed being able to make meals in the shared kitchen of the Pancoast Carriage House, saving us money and giving us a break from heavy restaurant food. I loved the claw-foot tub to soak my tired legs after a day of touring! I was glad we had the privacy of the upper floor to ourselves... it may have been awkward to have guest(s) in the other room. We would consider renting the upper level for our family if we were to return for another visit with our children. We enjoyed the easy access to the Riverwalk and the good suggestion of restaurants for our meals. Thank you to everyone who made our stay pleasant, especially Cindy!

  • Lucy McGee

We came in after hours and entered with the code given us with no problems. Our keys were on the table in the hallway and our room was ready and waiting. The information enclosed with the key was most helpful for being out and about in San Antonio, especially the restaurant guide. The directions from the Jackson House to the Oge House were very good and allowed us to arrive on time for breakfast each day. Breakfast was good and during the 3 days we were there, nicely varied. The fresh cookies provided each afternoon were a very nice touch as well as the pitchers of lemonade and water. It would have been helpful to have someone at the desk during breakfast hours so guests could ask questions or make requests.

  • carol schipper

We loved our stay at the Pancoast Carriage House - it was all we hoped for and way more. It felt like we were staying in a cottage away from everything. Lovely appointed bedroom, very large kitchen and sitting area and it was so peaceful and quiet outside on the patio and by the pool. Just a hop across the road to the Oge House where we were served a superb breakfast. The Oge House is a fabulous old-world mansion that is a history buff's dream; the furnishings are just lovely, and we loved exploring and looking at the wonderful paintings, portraits and antiques. We just wish we had booked another night and will definitely book again next year for our anniversary. Thank you for a lovely romantic stay.

  • Alise Bailey

We stayed at the Oge House (Noble Inns) for our 11th anniversary and it was a picture perfect experience. You feel pampered the moment you drive up to this beautiful mansion surrounded by lush, well kept grounds. It's located steps from the Riverwalk and in the middle of beautiful, historic district. Don and his staff are very welcoming, accommodating and couldn't be nicer. (Did I mention complimentary homemade cookies and lemonade are available in the evenings!?) Our room was beautifully decorated - romantic with just the right amount of old world charm. Breakfast was delicious and beyond our expectations. We will treasure the time we spent at Oge House and look forward to future visits!

  • Sharon Jacobs

We have been coming to Pancoast Carriage House for over fifteen years. Why? We have made so many great memories there. It is just like our home away from home. Pancoast is beautifully appointed with everything we need to make our stay perfect. Don and Lisle and their staff attend to every need with great care and cheerfulness. The pool is a lovely accoutrement to the carriage house. The breakfast served at the Oge House are incomparable. We always feel a little sad leaving and anticipate our next stay. It is a great venue for getting together with your friends or families when renting the entire cottage or a quiet retreat when staying in the first floor of the cottage. Very romantic!!!

  • Jim Poirier

This wa our third time staying at the Oge House this year. We stayed in the Chinoisier room off the front door on the front porch. We thought it might be noisy but was not at all. This is the sixth different room we stayed in and loved them all. The staff was incredible, as usual. The one addition from our last visit last spring was Cherish, their new cook. Her breakfasts were incredible. She is a great new addition. Since my wife has some dietary restrictions, Cherish was really accommodating to get her what she could eat. As always, the Oge house is in a perfect location to the river walk and the grounds and house were a real pleasure to just r&r. We will surely be back.

  • samantha Samuels

Jackson Suite 2-HUGE headboard not attached to the wall, making noise and moving with the bed every time you move(causing a very tired weekend). It was cold and we had been walking the riverwalk, but you cant adjust the thermostat, because you share with the rest of the house. On top of the room being cold, the fireplace did not work at all. We thought we might be able to go swimming in the indoor pool, we saw in the pictures online, but the indoor part is not accurate, and the water was probably the same temperature as outside, around 38 degrees. We have stayed in the Oge House before and loved every minute of it, but after this trip, I'm not sure what to think.

  • Heights Club Newsletter

At the end of a long driving trip, we were hoping the Oge House would be comfortable, and it was. We had the Steves Room, which was even nicer than the pictures and has a couple of easy chairs and a very comfortable bed, so nice for worn-out older travelers. The setting for this gracious ante-bellum mansion is the King William District -- right on the River Walk -- just about a 15-minute walk to the loop. We had to leave too early for breakfast, but our host was kind to provide us the night before with a continental breakfast for our in-room fridge. Beautifully appointed on a large city lot, this place is a reminder of a gracious time and a romantic retreat.

  • Mikey Street Photographer

We had a lovely stay while we celebrated our 8th Anniversary. We arrived late and the detailed email received before made arrival easy. Breakfast each morning was delicious and the service was excellent. It was a great way to start the day. Our room was large, comfortable and allowed us to access the veranda. It was great meditating on the veranda after grabbing a cup of coffee down stairs. We walked along the river to the downtown riverwalk area and saw the sites such as the Alamo, easy walk plan 30 or so minutes to get to the Alamo on foot. The public areas are very nicely appointed and comfortable. Overall a great stay although a bit overpriced.

  • Selena McLachlan

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and quiet. Great historic neighbourhood and a quick walk down to the river. And close to the B-Cycle station if you plan to use the city's bike-share program. The breakfast was amazing - both the food and the service. Overall, really good value for what you get. Would come back and recommend it to others. A few things that would have moved the rating to 5-star: - hot tub was not hot. only luke warm. - big, barking dog next door, but thankfully was quite at night and in the morning when it counts most! - better coffee with breakfast! though taste is subjective, the coffee was pretty weak/watery.

  • Hillary Romero

The Oge House is a really beautiful and well kept piece of history and has some amazing grounds but the overall feel was a little strange. There were no other guests when we were there and no staff around. The owner lived across the street and it was a bit strange staying in a huge mansion with not a soul in sight. What if we needed something at an odd hour? What if there was some other issue and no one was around? I've never been in a scenario like that before. I also thought I made a reservation for a king sized bed, but the bed was tiny and my husband and I had to cram into it despite my very pregnant belly in the way.

  • Ray Garza

Do not pass up a chance to stay here. My best friend and I stayed for few days last Christmas and it was a wonderful place to stay.. Its located so close to downtown within walking distance to the heart of the river walk. It's also located in a really beautiful historical area.. the homes are gorgeous. We took long walks and just enjoyed looking at all the homes. Must eat up the street at the Guenther House, amazing champagne enchiladas. The staff was supper helpful and sweet. If you book in advance the price is far more reasonable then most of the hotels there. ...Honestly don't pass up your opportunity to stay here.

  • Molly White

My husband and I stayed at Noble Inns-The Oge House for our first night away from our 18 month old son. The house is stunning from the outside and beautifully decorated on the inside. Our room was simply perfect and our little porch was a great place to sit that evening with a gentle breeze and a bottle of champagne. Everyone that helped us was so friendly and kind. The breakfast was delicious and the dining room was delightful. This place has EVERYTHING we were looking for in a B&B (and I'm very picky!). Beautifully antique, but with all the modern amenities. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • Kristin Pardue

The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. It's a perfect location to walk to downtown or south-town activities by river. We rented out all the rooms in the carriage house for our group and the staff were great at accommodating our group of 9 for breakfast/sleep arrangements. Had to take away one star simply due to worn out furnishings and we had a toilet that continued to not flush despite the staff declaring it fixed. Otherwise a perfect stay. The pool next to the carriage house came in very handy after those hot days and was a beautiful oasis away from the busy tourist trap.

  • Judy Wright

From checking in to checking out, we were pleased with our accommodations. Breakfasts were delicious and presented beautifully. The Oge House and Pancoast Carriage House, which is where we stayed, were spotlessly clean. At the Carriage House I noticed a few items that needed taken care of, i.e. kitchen faucet and cold faucet in bathroom. I left note at the desk in the Oge House and the staff assured me they would be taken care of as soon as possible in time for the next guests. I love the location of the Noble Inn, very quiet yet totally accessible to shops and restaurants. Thank you.

  • william Leach

Very nice staff. Like the decor. Food was awesome. Bed was comfortable. Enjoyed The cozy pool but furniture inside the pool room as well as the outside furniture needs to be replaced. The grounds need more up keep and maintenance around the property. I would also say to get pest control tio spray outside and inside the grounds and house. Loud off address and spiders. Would love to stay here again if upgrades and maintenance is performed on property. Also would like breakfast to be available at the house you stay at. Other than these minor issues nice place. Great service nice staff.

  • Reed Hanger

The room we stayed in was fairly small with a sloped in roof, but the staff is very friendly. It's a much more personal experience than a usual hotel stay -- the owners like to talk with the guests, and one served us breakfast for several days. The bed was extremely comfortable and had skylights above it. The building itself -- a Victorian era house -- is full of interesting pictures and a common room with complimentary cookies, wine, and other drinks. I didn't get a chance to try out the spa, though I was tempted. Overall, definitely an experience I'd recommend trying.

  • Rose Shadle

We could not have chosen a better place to stay while in San Antonio! Our suite, the Oge home and the grounds were peaceful and beautiful. The staff friendly, attentive and very accommodating to our gluten free, dairy free dietary needs. Breakfast was homemade and always a 5 out of 5! The Oge home is conveniently located to all the attractions we visited. And best of all we could walk out of our room, around to the back of the property, right onto the Riverwalk. Our entire stay was so enjoyable. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Oge Inn.

  • Barbara Maloney

I have stayed at the Oge House numerous times and again enjoyed myself. The room was quiet and comfortable with lovely views of the back yard. The breakfast was delicious and not too much so I could get on with my day walking or biking the Riverwalk which by the way is just out the back door. If you want a beautiful place to stay with the added plus of an historical neighborhood I would highly recommend one of the Noble Inn properties. Lastly the location is perfect for all those places you want to visit while in San Antonio.

  • David Rogers

As we drove down Turner Street, the Oge House awaits at the end of the block, its grandeur apparent once we rounded S. Alamo St. The parking is ample on the gorgeous, really Southern-style grounds. The House itself is so well preserved and restored. Inside the appointments are all in keeping with the era of that style of living. The staff are friendly and helpful which made us comfortable from the get-go. This is a real treat and should be experienced by all who share our love of the past as exemplified by the Oge House.

  • Tamela Barbour

The house is beautiful from a distance. The room we were in needed a lot of attention. The paint need updating. The bathroom floor tile need cleaning or replacing. The shower tile has black mildew. The rug needs replacing. Overall, it looks like the innkeeper has lost interest in the bed and breakfast. One of the people serving breakfast seemed unhappy about being there. Overall, not a great experience for the money. There should be tables and chairs in the back to enjoy coffee in the area behind the house by the river.

  • Carmen Cisneros

I highly recommend this location for an elopement and honeymoon after :) Me and my hubby loved the way all our pictures came out because the garden really is super enchanting. Our ceremony was so intimate and lovely too, surrounded by all the nature, and honestly, the trees give you enough shade too so that your makeup and hair stay in place! The owner, Don, was so great to work with him, and he definitely made our stay very memorable!

Noble Inns was the perfect bed and breakfast for my husband and me to celebrate my birthday. Quaint, clean, and cozy, the Oge house met my expectations and more. Excellent convenient location (in the beautiful King William neighborhood) allows for downtown exploring, strolls on the riverwalks, and walking distance to many restaurants. I would 100% recommmend to anyone looking for a special stay in San Antonio. Special thank you to Don Noble for the warm check in and sharing the history of the neighborhood.

  • Nancy Klingensmith

While the Inn is lovely with a beautifully decorated entry area and nice breakfast room sadly the Carriage House is in need of some love and attention. The couch in the living room area is very shop worn and needs to be reupholstered or replaced. Bedrooms have very comfortable mattresses and furnishings are adequate. The large bathrooms are nice but getting in and out of a clawfoot tub is not easy and rather dangerous when the tub basin is wet and slippery. Should have a handle bar and a non-slip tub mat.

  • Sheldon Walker

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Jackson House during our trip to San Antonio. It is perfectly located next to the riverwalk in a historical and quiet area. It's only 10 minutes to where all the action is, with great food, music, and other entertainment. The Jackson House is beautiful and with it comes a feeling of nostalgia. With classic, plantation-like features, this place didn't lack any of the modern luxuries - internet, great AC, hot shower. We loved our stay and will stay again. Thank you!

  • A Parker

Amazing place to take your spouse especially if y'all like Pokemon GO. It has 3 pokestops on site. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Rooms were nice, roomy, and welcoming. Couldn't ask for better costumer service either, staff was extremely friendly and really made us feel at home. The night we stayed they had free lemonade and cookies! Those cookies are were so yummy! Definitely planning on going back very soon! Best inn, hotel, bed and breakfast experience my spouse and I ever had.

  • Melissa H

My husband and I stayed in the Riverview Room at the Oge House as a birthday celebration weekend. We loved how secluded we felt, with a second staircase to our room and a private back porch overlooking the fountain and the river walk. Our room was spacious and the Jacuzzi tub was wonderful. The breakfasts were delicious and decadent. The innkeepers were extremely friendly and helpful. Downtown was a mere 10-15 minute walk along the beautiful river. We will definitely return!

  • Jake Towe

Stayed in the carriage house. Beds/seats were very uncomfortable. The couch pull out was more comfortable than the bed. Service was pretty good but, we felt rushed out the door before our check out time was up. Service also came in without knocking on the door first, assuming we were out of the rental at the time. Good atmosphere and nice pool (with the exception of the vacuum going 24/7). Close to the river walk, about 15 minutes to restaurants and hot spots, nice area.

  • Jeffrey Taylor

The staff was magnificent! They are very customer oriented and go above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. The accommodations were superb. The only thing I would critique would be to reglue the wall paper around top of shower. We would diffidently recommend (and have already with a friend from Houston) the Noble Inns' properties to anyone planning a trip to San Antonio. If we ever return to your city, we would stay at the Noble Inns, Jackson House and Oge House.

  • Karen Hogensen

Everything was great & comfortable at the Jackson House, but it was a bit lonely. I was the only one there. The Oge House was great also -- I had a very nice breakfast there, along with a group of 10 other visitors. Perhaps some soft music would help soften the ambience in both buildings. As always, the King William District was beautiful, charming & a treasure! I was able to walk to my relatives home for our delightful Thanksgiving meal & togetherness. Thank you!

  • Cathy Hecklinger

We loved staying at your beautiful Oge inn. The breakfast was wonderful and delicious. She was also very thoughtful to give a breakfast to go the morning we had to leave. It would have been helpful to know you could buy an all day pass on the bus to be able to see all the missions. We dropped off the information on the bus route hoping you can share with your other guests. If we ever come back to your wonderful town, we will certainly stay at your Inn again.

  • Cordell Coy

We had a great experience staying at the Oge house. Don and Cindy were perfect hosts, making us feel very welcome and helping us details and recommendations for our stay. We enjoyed our room with all of its antique furnishings and the historic feel of the mansion. We were happy to be able to walk from our room along the riverwalk enjoying the San Antonio ambiance without need for driving after our long travel day. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

  • Glenn Timmons

We very much enjoyed the quiet, uncongested area, friendly and helpful staff, the historic appealing neighborhood and proximity to the Riverwalk and the overall ambiance of the historic property. The meals were very good and much enjoyed. We did observe some property and facility issues that seem tired and in need of attention particularly in the carriage house area. We will certainly look forward to staying at Noble House on our next visit to San Antonio.

  • Sonia Garcia

We enjoyed our gift (was a wedding gift). We were very pleased with our stay. This was our first B&B experience and wasn't quiet sure what to expect/do. As we noticed the " info cards" and notebook after a few hours. I would point out read the notebook and the sign in bathroom (re: makeup towel :-) Once I figures there were notes, I read them more quickly, often. Breakfast staff/meal was very hot and well served. Highly recommend the stay and experience.

  • Mary Chilton

Wonderful accommodations. We had a great relaxing weekend. Pool & jacuzzi!! Like being at home only in San Antonio!! River walk was just right there. Yes, San Antonio is pretty much shut down but don't worry. There are still places to eat or get curbside. Full kitchen so bring what you want!! You have everything for a nice relaxing getaway here!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Noble Inns and our room was nice and comfortable. The atmosphere of the whole house was relaxing and enjoyable. Breakfasts were wonderful as well as the kitchen/breakfast staff! Only thought would be that the rug in our room was coming apart and needs to be fixed or updated according to the style of the room. We were there for five days and the floor was getting dusty and should have been cleaned/vacuumed during our stay.

  • Kevin Kingsbury

My wife and I stayed at the Noble Inns for our 24th anniversary. It was a wonderful experience. The rooms were very nice, the staff was very hospitable, and the home cooked breakfasts was amazing. The inn was in good walking distance of the main river walk as well as a number of very nice eating places. Overall it was a great experience for us since we have never stayed at a bed and breakfast before. We are planning on doing it again next year.

  • Gurbach Phyllis

After many years of visiting San Antonio my husband and I experienced a different view of the city. We never knew such historic old mansions were located in the downtown Riverwalk area. We also discovered new restuarants within walking distance.. The Convention Center, Mall and Riverwalk were also in walking distance. Our yearly Convention trip was totally reinvented. We look forward to staying in the beautiful accomodations again.

  • Gary Lyda

Anyone planning a trip to San Antonio should consider staying at one of the Noble Inns. My wife and I stayed at the Oge House and were very impressed with the historic building, well maintained grounds and beautifully decorated interior. The proximity to the riverwalk and restaurants made our visit all the more enjoyable. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff was friendly. This was a great stay at a very affordable price.

  • Jori Thomas

We loved our stay at Noble inns! We were at the Oge house in one of the rooms downstairs and we loved it. I really liked that there was a door to the patio outside so we didn't have to go up through every time. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was phenomenal. Definitely not a place for kids. Perfect little getaway for my husband and me to have a few days to spend together. Everything was perfect.

  • Laurie Andrews

The Oge house is a gem on the edge of Southtown and the center of San Antonio. I have never been on this part of the riverwalk before and it is quite lovely. It is close enough to get to the city in minutes but far eough away to have peace and and rest. It is the kind please you go to and don't want to leave the room. The gounds are beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly.

  • Angela M

Most beautiful location for our wedding. Initially booked the venue as a romantic vacation destination, which turned into our wedding destination. Don was informative and extremely helpful as we coordinated the Wedding Officiant, Photographer and the Hair & Makeup artist. The entire ceremony was breathtaking! We could not have asked for a better venue. We highly recommend The Noble Inn and look forward to our next stay.

  • Darlene Jamieson

The location was great and surprisingly quiet. The bed was very comfortable. It was nice having the lemonade, water, and cookies available. Parking was very convenient. The absolute best part of our stay was the fantastic breakfast...best we've had in a B&B! The only negatives are the toiletries (not very good, and I expected better for a high-end B&B), and the stains on the carpet made the room look tired.

  • Doug Reichenbach

The location was ideal - close enough to walk to downtown and the River Walk area, but far enough away to be quiet and serene. The style of the house was just to our liking - beautiful furniture, decorations, carpets, etc. A nice, filling breakfast with plenty to choose from and grounds and porches to wander in and sit and have a cup of tea. My only suggestion would be to extend the check-in time a bit.

  • Trish Wilson

Noble Inns has a beautiful, historical, romantic and scenic atmosphere! The Oge (pronounced O-J) House, especially the River View suite, is a very clean and comfortable B&B. Nice people with a flare for the elegant style. Close to downtown and the river walk, yet far away enough to be quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended.

The Noble houses are an awesome alternative to San Antonio if you love historic homes and districts. No, it isn't a 5 star hotel infused with lavender. However, it is a stay that will take you back in time, let you be surrounded by the craftsmanship that went into these houses, and be comfortable in one of the coolest neighborhoods of San Antonio down the street from anything you want to see.

  • Nancy Katz

We were pleased to return to the Jackson House after 4 years. Overall, the stay was pleasant. There were several changes in the 4 years: not serving breakfast at the Jackson House was not as convenient. While the breakfasts were quite good, not having an allowed rest room was very uncomfortable. I would encourage making a rest room available if breakfast is not served at the Jackson House.

  • julia bogart

I surprised my wife of almost one year with a two night trip to San Antonio with beautiful accommodations in the Oge House Steves room. All of the details were perfect, from our gracious check in and hot spot recommendations with the inn keeper to the stunning and super comfortable room to the delectable breakfasts. I wish we could have stayed longer, and we look forward to visiting again!

  • Fred Munich

We recently spent three wonderful days at Oge house one of the Noble Inns properties. A B&B that includes everything we were looking for, Period Accomidations, Wonderful breakfast and a staff that was eager to please. The property is on the river walk but far enough away from the hustle and bustle for a quiet relaxing stay. With many restaurants near by we had no need for a car.

This was a great experience! I enjoyed the charm of the home we stayed in. The jacuzzi tub was a treat! If you are looking to enjoy a quiet, peaceful time this is the place for you. Riverwalk literally in the backyard and restaurants within walking distance. We stayed for our 1st wedding anniversary and it was super private. We had our own entrance in and out of the home.

We had a great stay at Jackson House. We got the mini suite with the sitting room. The fireplace was a warm welcome on a cold day. The short 2 block walk to and from the scrumpious breakfast at the Oge House was pleasant. We walked to downtown via the Riverwalk. Nice to have free parking so close to downtown. A much nicer experience than in a cookie cutter hotel room.

Is a beautiful home, we will be back. From the booking, communication, welcoming, amenities, and information. is fantastic. We found ants in the tub and hair on the bathroom floor, we recommend to the housekeeping inspection to maybe check on details a little closer. We understand is possible to oversee all sometimes. We will stay with you again. Thank you.

The place itself was very rustic and bit tacky, but still nice. We had a room with a large two person tub, which was awesome, until we turned it on and the jets started spewing out dirt and grime. It's pretty clear that the room hadn't been truly cleaned in quite some time. Breakfast was pretty great though, and the staff was top notch and quite helpful.

We stayed over New Years and had a fantastic time. We were located in the beautiful and historic King William District and were able to walk to just about any place downtown that we wanted to go. The accommodations in our room/suite were first class and the breakfast was superb and served with a smile. We will not hesitate to book with Noble Inns again.

We loved staying at Noble Inns! We were in the lovely Riverview Suite in the Oge house, and highly recommend it. The house is lovely, the staff pleasant and helpful, and the breakfasts delicious. The location is outstanding, with the river out the back door, and a few minutes walk to the Riverwalk or Market areas. We would definitely stay here again!

very old and run-down. NOT the vintage style you get at other places but legit just a bunch of ran down furniture. old dirty towels. stained shower curtains and bedroom curtains. the pull out couch/beds are very old and springs pokes you. wish they at least would provide some decent covers, sheets, pillows or something. just feel like we got lied to.

We enjoyed the delicious food at Liberty bar! The staff members we all very cordial. We had massages that were awesome, and we are picky. The champagne, and chocolates only added to our amazing time together. The breakfast was also very good!! We would go back, perhaps to stay in another one of Noble Inn's, even though the Jackson Inn was very nice.

My husband and I love going to Bed and Breakfast Inns when we travel...and this was one of the best, so far. We enjoyed the ambiance, the staff was wonderful and the breakfast was great! We so appreciated that they accommodated our 'no carb' diet. And the location is exquisite. This goes down as a wonderful memory in our 'memory books'! Thank you!

We stayed at the Ogé house and while the decor was beautiful and we had a great view of the river, the staff were not very helpful nor friendly and both the shower and air conditioning did not work in our room. As far as lodging in San Antonio goes, you would probably be better off staying at another B&B if you want service that matches the price.

Amazing breakfast that makes you feel back to the 19th century. All the staff are very warm, friendly, and helpful. As a foreign traveller from China, I feel this experience really deepens my understanding of Southern America. If I have a chance to visit San Antonio again, the Noble inn will definitely be the first accommodation on my list.

We booked a stay for our 10-year anniversary, and everything turned out great!! Our Room (#5), although small, was super cozy, clean and quiet. The innkeepers were so helpful, and the food at breakfast was delicious!! We added the romance package (chocolate, champaign & carriage ride)--SO worth it!!! Would definitely recommend to anyone!!

We planned to stay for 1 week, both my wife and I, however, my wife could not attend this time around. The room was comfortable and decorated nicely with an old manor house / eclectic feel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. My only critic would be that the room had a slight musty smell, probably due to the age of the house :)

Beautiful November birthday stay in a lovely room at the Oge House, a mansion in the King Williams district of beautiful downtown San Antonio. Right on the River Walk, convenient to downtown and to strolling the neighborhood. King size comfortable bed and great porch. Breakfasts were wonderful. WE really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in the Carriage House, Suite 1. It's a great little spot. We really enjoyed the room, and the location is great. It is in a really cool part of town with plenty of restaurants and bars around, plus it was a really short walk to the River Walk and the Alamodome. Don and his staff were great to work with, too.

Great location and great house, but our air conditioner didn’t work in one room and they were a little rude about our getting out a few minutes after checkout. Plus, they practically took my breakfast plate from me as I was still eating. Overall, on the morning of my departure, the place had a “go away” vibe to it.

We stayed here two nights for an anniversay trip. It was unique and beautiful. Great location to the Riverwalk or other places in the historical district. Walking distance to lots of places. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was excellent. It was private and quaint. We had the best stay will definitely be coming back

We stayed at the Jackson House suite 2 for our honeymoon. We added the breakfast option, which is a short walk away at the Ogee House. Breakfasts were fantastic! The room had a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. In the common room is coffee and cookies and a common use fridge. We had a lovely stay and would stay again

We stayed in the Aaron Pancoast Cottage and could not have been more pleased! Private, comfortable, and wonderful location allowed us to relax, feel pampered and get to and from anywhere conveniently. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were scrumptious! We can't wait to go back.
