Very unfortunate experience. Paid for 2 VIP tickets to watch 'Knock at the Cabin' and ended up having a dreadful experience. Four teenagers walked into the cinema with alcohol (snuck in). They were stumbling up the chairs to their seats, only to sit down and speak loudly during the movie. One of the female teens started throwing up in her drunken state. She threw up all over the floor behind us. This promted the 2 teen boys to get up and walk out, coming back 15 minutes later without help. I decided to walk out in the middle of the movie and ask for management/cleaners. I was told that management would come to remove them and that the vomit would be cleaned asap. No management came and the vomit was never cleaned. The entire cinema smelt like vomit until the end of the movie. The teens ended up stumbling out and leaving their coke bottles and Klipdrift they snuck in. No parents were phoned and absolutely no help from the staff. I will definitely not be coming back. I would rather drive to Pavillion or Gateway. I cannot support a business that turns a blind eye to obvious underage drinking and not helping when it is needed.

We mostly watch our movies on DVDs. Read a fantastic write up on the movie Neerjha so we decided to give ourselves a treat by watching it on the big screen. What a disappointment ! From the time we took our seats an d the beginning of your adverts the brightness on your screen was hurtingly low. We could've better off watching a DVD at home. Surprising that a cinema house of your repute could become so careless or indifferent. For the sake of your patrons and yourselves kindly have this remedied . Ir Dowlath

The service is now very poor compared to what it used to be. On 16 November 2021, we had a guy waitron who was willing to attend to us at the VIP area and one of the female waitrons told him to leave and go for lunch with a promise that she will look after us - we waited for more than 30minutes without anyone bothering to give us any assistance. As healthcare workers who were coming from work, I found this very disrespectful and I would not advise any of my colleagues to consider coming here.

Going to the VIP cinema was a fun experience, and oh so comfortable! I just needed a blanket to feel at home We had booked tickets to watch Fast 9, and really enjoyed our experience. The waitron brought us our food inside the cinema, hot and fresh and those fries were amazing - crunchy and cooked to perfection!!! I would please request a wet wipe the next time as our wrap was abit messy to eat. I really do hope that the cinema industry is saved - looking forward to coming here soon!

Such a lovely experience after a year of not having visited, it was safe and all protocols were adhered to by the staff. I have to give a special mention to the manager on duty on the 4th April 2021, his name is Siya, he went over and above to make our experience awesome and took a person interest in serving us. He was very professional, friendly and super accommodating, well done Nu Metro on such an awesome choice and hire in your manager Siya. He is definitely an asset to Nu Metro....

Stale popcorn. During load shedding the movies cuts off and skips a few scenes when the generator kicks in. I highly do not recommend this place. Booked online and it gave me all incorrect seats after payment. Tried to correct it by calling the customer care line, their staff had attitude with me and didn't want to assist. Was told to go to the cinema to sort it out. Disgusted by their lack of their assistance. Never using nu metro again!

UNFORTUNATELY OUR TICKETS WERE PROCESSED BY A VERY RUDE EMPLOYEE WITH A TERRIBLE ATTITUDE, THE MANAGER NEEDS TO LOOK CLOSER AT THE STUFF, THERE ARE POLITE WAYS TO SPEAK TO CUSTOMERS , WE DONT OWE THE STUFF ANYTHING WE DONT FORCE PEOPLE TO WORK WHERE THEY CLEARLY ARE NOT HAPPY SO TO TO TAKE OUT THEIR FRUSTRATION On CUSTOMERS IS NOT CALLED FOR, SPOILT OUR NIGHT. THANK YOU VERY MUCH WILL DRIVE FURTHER NEXT TIME.

Did their SceneVIP. This is my comparison between Pavilion and Galleria SceneVIP. While they have a better screen and sound than The Pavilion, there is no mini table to place the food ordered. Seats are not as large or as comfortable as Pavilion and it doesn't slide, you have to pull the lever. While it does in a pinch, I wouldn't order food there again. So popcorn and coke only in future.

I always go to Nu Metro for a movie, the one at Galleria Mall to be specific. Food for VIP section is totally not on, it like you don't have a chef dedicated for kitchen, it took forever and it missing love, that's i make sure i eat at Panarottis first before movie time. But well done for introducing something classy (VIP) for us in the South. Love watching movies

This is a good movie house and Nu Metro have a great extra value reward system which is very effective and helps with with affordability. The VIP movie house is very well laid out and the meals served in the movie house is very affordable and of high quality and very tasty. The Lazy boy seating is formidable and very comfortable. Take your friends and family for a special treat.

While I appreciate the variety of movies screened at Galleria, I am still concerned and disappointed that Nu Metro is NOT screening Tamil movies, as the latest ones are released. We on the mid south coast have to travel to Suncoast to watch Tamil films. I don't think it is fair that only the new Hindi movies are screened in you cinemas. Please look into this matter and assist.

An extremely awesome Nu Metro. Exceptionally clean and neat. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Latest releases are available. Nicely situated in the heart of the food court next to the game/entertainment area. Easily accessible from the roof parking which is extremely convenient. They were open on Christmas day with the most friendliest staff...fantastic vibey ambience.

I went to see The Nun 2. First time watching a horror movie in the Cinema. It was an utter disappointment i will never watch a horror movie at a cinema again. The screen quality was so dull i could not see what was happening in the movie. Those lights that are on the side off the walls that guide people to walk on the side are blinding to those trying to enjoy the movie.

Stood in line to get snacks for over an hour. When we finally got to the cinema our seats were taken by other viewer who didnt even have tickets for the show. Poor ticket control. Eventually watched the movie though but they had to start it over and it was about an hour late. Seriously guys. Get someone who CHECKS tickets and some competent staff at the snack bar.

Was great fun to watch a movie in the cinema since this pandemic started. It felt like old times. The sound and large screen definitely beat watching a good movie at home. However only 2 cashiers so took really long to get our popcorn and stuff. They have 2 empty seats separating every 2 seats and popcorn flavor individually wrapped with Sanitizer at the entrance.

The movies have become so expensive a d the quality of some of the theaters have deteriorated drastically. The price of food and drinks is also astronomical and sometimes it just doesn't seem worth it to come out and watch movies anymore. I wish the movies houses would make movies affordable again the average household to be able to go out on a weekly basis.

We went to the "VIP lounge" so it's called. Received spinach and feta "samoosa" type finger food that looked super old. The staff were sitting around in the lounge on their phones. It was not the experience we thought it would be. Definitely a thumbs down. Popcorn was cold as well. The staff didn't really look like they wanted to be there either.

You have to walk like 2 kms and go up and down the floors just to find a bathroom and the theatres there arent even airconed its HOT inside the theaters but the theaters entrance is INCREDIBLY cold, guys turn those off and make the aircons work in the theaters so we dont feel like we've entered the desert when we walk into the theater

I was very impressed with the manager Thabiso. We booked tickets for a show but when we got there they had unscheduled load shedding. Thabiso was so apologetic and accommodating. He rescheduled our tickets for another day and offered us free tickets for another show when the electricity came on. Great job Thabiso.

i love the VIP section. staff helpful and friendly. only issue would be the price. even with loyalty cards and so on, the price of the sweets, popcorn drinks and tickets are ridiculous. really.... wait the every month or two and you can get it in Blu Ray for the price you pay for a family movie outing...

I went to watch the 20:00pm movie "Ticket to paradise" and the cinema was not cleaned! There was popcorn on the ramp going into the cinema and inside the cinema there was popcorn all over the floors. It was very disappointing as I've been to Numetro cinemas many times before and there was never an issue!

Still a good place to watch movies but the seats in the cinema 8 was abit uncomfortable. Kept moving and shuffling about in the seat to find a comfortable position. The aircons was also switched off which made it abit stuffy. Luckily the cinema wasn't full which made it manageable till the end.

Not my option of entertainment. Preference in seeing movie at home. Finding it overpriced too. Cinemas are not what they were 50 years back. They are now smaller, sound is far from being hi fi and smell is annoying. For the girls will be even worse. But some people love it. Tastes differ.

The service was excellent... place neat and tidy But I was there Friday 15-01-2016 watching ride along 2. I ordered 3 popcorn combos and the popcorn was terribly stale... I was very disappointed. We just took our popcorn and put it under our seats and watched the movie. ..

The prices of the snacks are ridiculously expensive!!! Almost R370 for my granddaughter and myself to go on a Sunday afternoon! And I get pensioners discount!!! We each had a cooldrink shared a small popcorn and a small Astros each!!!! Very dissapointed!!

I am absolutely blown away by the excellent service I have received. I had a minor hick-up with complementary tickets, and after dealing with the national call centre, and my frustration level very high, I did not expect such good service. Well done!

Staff where very friendly and helpful. Only issue we had was the bad quality movie we watched. Went to see Jurassic Park World domination. The entire movie was blurry. A little dissapointed as we could not experience the full effect as it should be.

The best place to visit if you want hypertension, disrespect, anxiety and anger issues. Not every staff member is rude and dismissive but the few that are give this place a bad reputation. This particular branch is notorious for their bad service.

My momentum loyalty card didn't work and the manager couldn't do anything to fix it so I had to pay the full price for a VIP movie, which are pretty steep. The experience was really premium though; the cinema is clean and well-maintained.

Extremely pathetic experience. Walk into the V.I.P cinema 9. Staff sleeping in the cinema. Not bothered to even wake up. Never knew that Nu Metro provide accommodation as well. A total waste of money. Will never do it again.

The cinema doesn't have toilets you literally have to go use the mall's toilets meaning you lose quite a bit of the movie so if you go to see a movie go to the bathroom beforehand especially if its a long movie

Really cool place, great cinema. The only thing though is that each time I have come here the popcorn had been really crapy. Like I mean it tastes like it was made last week waste of my money. Guys do better

The prices are quite expensive. The 3D movie that i watched ( Thor Ragnarok) had an extremely blurry effect. It was not watchable. I didnt pay so much money for a rubbish 3D effect such as this.

The cinema is clean and well run. It is conveniently situated near the food court which allows a meal for before Tha movie. It us best to make use of the separate parking as it is less crowded.

Picture quality not very good. I have changed from 2 star to one star. Besides picture, sound was pathetic this weekend. Worst numetro cinema. They should be looked into.

Friendly staff, popcorn is fresh & wheelchair friendly. Just wish the choice of seats for wheelchair users was further back.

Film projector brightness is too low, making the movies darker than intended and the projections are often out of focus.
