I recently had the opportunity to visit Nu Metro Cinema in Cornubia, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. I was thrilled to find a modern and well-equipped cinema like this one. Firstly, the location of the cinema is excellent. It is conveniently situated in the Cornubia Mall, making it easily accessible to residents and visitors alike. The mall itself has ample parking space, which is always a plus when visiting a cinema. Upon entering Nu Metro Cinema, I was impressed by the sleek and contemporary design. The lobby area was clean, spacious, and well-lit, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The staff members at the ticket counter were friendly and helpful, assisting me in choosing the movie and screening time that suited my preferences. The cinema halls themselves were top-notch. The seats were comfortable and provided plenty of legroom, ensuring a pleasant viewing experience. The screens were large and provided excellent picture quality, enhancing the overall immersion. The sound system was impressive as well, delivering crystal-clear audio that truly enhanced the movie-watching experience. Really impressed with Nu Metro Cornubia. I was invited to see Black Adam. Thank you to the team. I purchased my own popcorn. As usual. It's always a large combo for a long movie. I was given extra spices for popcorn. Fresh movie popcorn. Really impressed with how clean it was and the cinema was big, big screen, comfy chairs with a cushion for your head. Xtreme cinema is a go for me. I always went to Ster kinekor for IMAX but this is cheaper and much less crowded for even better seats. The cushion for your head is the 5 star feature for me. However I'd prefer better quality and bigger 3d glasses and I felt these were a bit small. Really impressed with Nu Metro. I'm now converted. The 4dx experience is fun for people who enjoy that. For myself I don't enjoy being thrown around, better hold your popcorn tight. However the amazing features of light,sound and smell really immerses you into the movie. I'd say give it a try and see the difference. I saw Avatar which was some experience. You can choose to have your seat motion off and experience the sight,sound and smell features which is excellent for immersion. The service is amazing. I was clueless walking around and staff were always willing to help even if they didn't know how, they'd find someone to assist.

Service here is always good and the staff are friendly and helpful. 4D cinemas are always good to visit also. I would steer clear from the VIP cinema not because of the establishment but because of the people that go there. The people that visit the VIP cinema are full of nonsense and act as if they own the place, this is the reason there's always a queue at VIP. I commend the staff for putting with some of the people's bad attitude. I've even witnessed someone threatening the staff by saying they know the owner and would call him over the phone. Sad part is these VIP attendees use their Nedbank card to but tickets at discount, then proceed to act high and mighty.

Went to watch the new Spiderman movie in 4D today, which was scheduled to start at 4pm. The movie only started at 4:45pm. It seemed as though they were having technical difficulties as the lights kept going on and off and seats kept swaying and movie notifications kept playing over and over again. It was very disappointing, because all through this, nobody had thought to let us know what was going on. I also felt that the movement of the movie seats during the action scenes were too rough for me, and took away from the actual movie ambiance.

Dirt from the previous movie was not cleaned up. We got to our seats and the seats were dirty with the popcorn spice thrown all over as well as sweet wrappers and popcorn cartons and cold drink cups. How could this be missed as I thought there was clean up between shows? Also this indicates that seats aren't sanitized between shows. Terrible and won't be going back

Newish theatre.. But needs to work on sound management at the cinema.. Sounds not well balanced and is not always surround sound. Poor management of load shedding.... When movie is interrupted by load shedding and generator kicks in.. The movie has already been playing and so the viewer has missed 10 mins of the movie.. Unimpressed and unapologetic about this

The 4D theatre is hands down the best movie experience I've had! All of the theatres are neat, spacious and extremely comfortable. The sound and video quality is among the best I've seen.

It was good to be back from my short holiday from limpopo. But the pop corn wasnt nice at all and the coke had too much water. The movie beast was very good. I enjoyed it. Nail biting.

We had booked VIP tickets for the new scream movie. I also ordered a pizza from the vip counter. The pizza tasted very oily and had a stale texture to it. This was very disappointing.

The VIP cinemas are fantastic with bar n food service at your seats. Bookings are available online. Just the kiosk area needs a little queue management to increase the service time.

Nice modern multiscreen cinema. If you want the huge screens of the past you'll be disappointed but it's very clean, decent sound system and reasonably priced for a multiplex
