Movie Goers - Beware of Parking Scams in Odeon Odeon along with Gallagher Retail Park and Horizon Parking is involved in levying parking charges on unnoticing movie goers and scams millions of pounds to Retail Park Customers and Movie Goers Big time. Scam Modus Operandi: No Proper Displays or mention of Parking charges for moviegoers in the parking Lot Premises or the Movie Tickets. No mention in the tickets about the Parking charges and what needs to be done. Recently watched the Movie Jurassic Park and parked the car in the Gallagher Retail Park, Premises. Another friend's family came in another car along with us and left 10 minutes later than us from the same Retail Park in the next parking slot. We have been issued with a 150£ Parking fine for time which was less than the movie screening time. No system in place as it looks like a selective fining on us. Our friend's car which was 15 minutes more than us in the same time and same location and not done anything by the owner was not charged. This shows clearly they don't have a consistent system and is selectively charging un noticing customers. First time ever charged a parking fine in a retail park premises for watching a movie and fined 150£ for watching the movie. One Customer Per movie when charged with parking fine will be more than a million £ parking fine revenue. Beware : Movie Goers beware of getting your tickets validated at Reception even if you are intending to park within the movie time. Big time Corporate Scamsters around.

This is what Cinemas should be. Yes there is great parking, and lots of different food options around and the pricing of the food is really reasonable. All those things are important. All the services (bathroom, ticket booking, service team) are all great too. But when I go to the movies the most important things in reverse order are: Seating: the seats are fantastic, with lots of adjustment and leg room and at least as comfortable as my Big Boy at home. Next time I have to sit through a LoTR marathon I know I could have a great nap Sound: Dolby sound was phenomenal if a little loud. But voices are clear, sound effects sharp and precise. Just great sound, not the muddy mess you get at some places. Even as loud as it was, it was crystal Picture: The screens are huge. The picture quality was HD if not UHD. Colour was accurate and it was such a comfortable watch. No eye strain. Dolby vision promises a lot and the way it’s been implemented at the Odeon is spot on. With screens this glorious and well calibrated you can watch anything and enjoy it. You totally get pulled into the action. Whatever film you want to watch, this is the screen and place to go. I watched Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny on the iSense screen

Went there in a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty so pretty comfortable. The seat is very good, reclinable sofa with a little table for your snack plus the arm rest can be push back if you are couple. We enjoyed our experience there a lot. The parking is a bit difficult for us to find as that was the first time for us to be there and the position on Google map seems wrong(2022 April)Try locate the "podpoint charging station" or "Next" then you can find the parking that shares with retail and walk to the cinema.

Watched across the spiderverse yesterday and I had a wicked time! Movie was great, popcorn was delicious, and those seats... I could sit in them all day! Will definitely come again. Only real drawback is that I wish they checked whats going on inside the cinemas because this guy called Tom Nash was in my screening and he kept coming up to me and kept trying to apologise to me like I dont know who this guy is or what his problem is?? Pretty okay service though

Screen 2 - clean, comfortable, great experience however the toilets were awful, toilet tissue over the floor and toilets unclean. Hardly anyone there, staff were stood around so no excuses regarding this. We ordered food at a counter that had rubbish laid out on it infront of us. Again lots of staff just chatting. We spent a lot of money going to this cinema and expect high quality throughout not just in the screen itself

Good cinema, great seats etc. Went to see Oppenheimer Wednesday 9th August 19:20 viewing. Spectacular picture and sound. But one major problem IT WAS WAY TOO LOUD. VOICES WERE DISTORTED AND with EXPLOSIONS had to cover my ears. I’m a rocker having seen AC/DC, Motörhead etc but this was just painful. No one to speak to other than the girl clearing up. I hope they get the message. Ruined the film for 3 of us!!

  • Always Wondering

Excellent cinema which feels very luxurious and clean compared to others in Leeds. I would recommend trying to see films in either screen 2 or screen 3 as they are the largest and have the best picture and sound quality, especially screen 3 which is an Isense screen, so basically Imax. You will be paying more than your average cinema however in my opinion the experience is far more satisfactory.

  • aa2196

Much appreciation from me to the black girl who wouldn't let me watch Oppenheimer for being a few minutes late, something which was completely out of my control. My mum has a deadly cancer and this would've taken my mind off it for a bit but nope, as she said "no way I'm letting you in" gotta love the world sometimes

  • Simon Anderson

Even with a Vue IMAX screen less than a 5 min walk from the door, the Atmos sound and dual 4k projector quality of the Dolby Screen (Screen 2) makes the trip worthwhile. All seats are equal and premium recliners. Experienced a lot of great cinema setups over the years but this one is the best by far.

  • The HAL

I always like to watch a blockbuster at Leeds Thorpe Park Dolby Cinema and have been paying £16, I was shocked when I went to book Killers Of The Flower Moon and the price had shot up to £22!!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! No wonder the theatre is empty. I will never pay these prices! Goodbye Odeon!

  • Peter “Pete3d” D

Sadly seat prices have rocketed and in Feb 2023 we were charged £19 each for a non 3d screening. No discounts are available. Such a shame as the new ring road makes it a good location and an easy journey. Cinema very empty and I’m not surprised at these prices. There are better priced options.

Visited today with my brother in law and nephews. Not been in an Odeon for years and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. Don't believe it's as good as the Showcase. As with most cinemas now it's on the expensive side when compared to Vue however you get what you OK ay for.

  • Keiren Bell

Proper rip off had to 2 free tickets from bank so used them paid for 2 children was £41 checked vue for same time same movie was £33 for all 4 of us in recliners would of been over £80 hear without the free tickets will be getting them for the vue next time …

  • asia burnell

Nice, modern, spacious cinema with good reclined seats and sound. It would be nice though, if car parking could get sorted a bit better. It looks like in the middle of the building site. Not cheap for snacks and drinks, but that was expected. Overall nice experience.

  • Clare Barker

I got a £12 saver ticket because I went to a daytime viewing on a Monday. I took a coffee (from the nearby pret), a little bag of popcorn (from the nearby M&S) and my blanket (because why not? ) and enjoyed a couple of hours in a super comfy chair …

  • Mike Singh

Absolutely horrific experience due to the incredibly rude behaviour of Lauren the "manager." I've never met someone so rude and dismissive. I will be cancelling my long standing membership at odeon and recommending my family and friends do the same.

  • Sue Turner

Great cinema, not local but worth the journey. Comfortable, reclining seats with tables and the surround sound is fantastic. Easy to book on line, lots of free parking and several eating places on the Thorpe Park retail/leisure and business park.

  • Aaron Brear

More supervision needed, having already had a poor opinion on cinemas with people being selfish, talking throughout etc. I paid £40 for 2 tickets on a Friday the 17th of February at a late showing, the film was 3 hours long and the people

  • M S

Lovely building and location for this cinema. Out of the way to avoid all riff raff but next to a small retail park. For parking you have to go into the retail parking section so make sure you don’t go all the way round if your using sat

  • maxswaby

Amazing cinema experience. Great quality seats, lots of leg room, table to put drink/snacks on. Alcohol bought from the cinema can be taken in in plastic cups. Food choice excellent, price pretty good for a cinema. Can’t wait to go back.

  • Mikey Mangan

Great cinema experience. Lots of room, comfy reclining seats and always clean and tidy. Staff are always friendly and helpful, to say 95% of them are kids in college etc, great work ethic and a good bunch. Prices are insane, but that's

  • steven freeman

Try not to fall asleep in the luxury seating, you won't visit a better Cinema experience. Lots of leg room, tilting seating with leg support if required. Table for coffee, food and popcorn etc. Sound system brilliant, fairly expensive

  • J Roscoe

Although tickets are quite expensive, it is very comfortable with reclining seats and the sound/visual quality is very good. We went 1.30pm on a Saturday and had only ten people in the cinema which was nice! We'll be coming back :)

  • David Hassan

Very nice multiplex on the outskirts of Leeds but easily reached and we'll placed for motorway access. Some of the screens are a little small but otherwise it has everything you need for a comfortable viewing.

  • Alison Boase

Booked on line for Killers of the Flower Moon. £22 each.........what??!!! Long film, great cinema experience etc but the price - seriously? Cheaper to book on line - how much more can they charge in house?

  • John Hemsley

Good place to view mid week checkout price two for one .otherwise its not that cheap ,but it his top notch comfortable seats good toilet facilities. Excellent sound system good cinema screen.

  • Lewis Appleton

Whilst not cheap it's well worth the comfortable movie experience. We loved relaxing on the fully reclining seats whilst we watched "No hard feelings". The popcorn size was also pretty good.

  • Jennifer Smith

Very comfortable chairs. Good choice of drinks both alcohlic and soft. However Costa coffee in the entrance not open! This I find strange. Surely a good meeting up place prior to movie.

  • Simon Barnes

A top venue for watching films. Brilliant sound and picture quality. Comfortable chairs. Delicious nachos. Good temperature. I really enjoyed it! I can't wait for some more....

  • Tony Goose

A proper cinema treat, expensive unless you join limitless. Sometimes the best films don't hang around for long. Choose seats with care - smaller screens, go near the back!

  • John Taverner

£37 for 2 tickets! No wonder it was empty! 3 cubicles in gents toilet, all 3 seats were loose and at an angle of about 45° to the pan, washed hands, tap on sink also loose.

  • Graeme Bottomley

First time I have been here and I was very impressed. Very well designed inside, friendly staff and a very comfortable recliner seat with a tray and cup holder attached.

  • Matt Watson

We visited the new Odeon Luxe on opening weekend and tried the new Dolby screen. The Dolby Cinema Screen is incredible. For cinema lovers it is worth the visit alone!

  • Jade Gaffney

Great recliner seats loads of leg room loved the actual cinema but toilets were grim! Also Google location is totally off very unhelpful when first visiting!

  • Jeremy Stonehouse

Comfy seating. Good range of snacks at prices you expect for a cinema. Nice big screens. Sound can be a little loud at times. Far too many adverts pre show.

  • Nissa Van Riper

Nice staff. New, comfy, clean. Easy, plentiful parking. Ads & previews ran for 29 min. Hella loud audio. Snack selection not bad. Popcorn smelled weird.

  • 0121 LION

Got there (tickets booked in advance) and the doors were locked. Very terrible. Imagine travelling a distance to get there too. Avoid like the plague

  • Hannah Walton

Nice and clean, staff very friendly. Just be careful using the ticket machines downstairs, my ticket got stuck so you may need to reach up to get it

  • Richard grayson

Great venue. Clean and tidy. But like all other cinemas, the food offerings are extortionate and prohibitive in this time of cost of living crisis.

  • Mr Ripley

Nice cinema, expensive, but it was comfortable and the staff were polite and helpful. Saw Godzilla Minus One here and it was fecking awesome …

  • Stephen Gahan

Was very impressed with the Odeon at Thorpe Park Leeds, I haven’t been to the cinema in years and we went to watch Oppenheimer, great movie!.

  • Mo Royd

Comfortable and clean good choice of snacks and refreshments. Nice and spacey doesn't feel claustrophobic like other places

  • Paul “Woody” Wood

Went to an ‘isence’ showing which had amazing sound and the electric fully reclining leather chairs. Great experience.

  • Steven Holland

Best cinema I've ever been to, recliner seats, great picture and sound. £15 pizza chios and drink deal well worth it.

  • Tony Metcalfe

Screen 2 for Dolby is Huge, sound is crazy loud but the seats super comfy, not sure worth £22 a ticket though

  • Zooby

Speakers are loud and effective. Comfortable seating. Was pretty quiet when I went at 9pm on a Wednesday.

  • Desmond Shiels

Awesome recliner seats. If you're local I recommend the Unlimited Plus card as well if you like movies.

  • Hans Antov

Best cinema in Leeds. Whilst pricier, it has very comfortable seats, great staff and isn’t too busy

  • Gillian Green

Good choice of films. Comfy seats. Silvers Films on Tuesdays is a great offering from Odeon too.

  • Dan M

Amazing cinema, huge, wasn’t too busy which was nice. Great service received also

  • J W

Amazing cinema experience. Costly but comfortable and most definitely worth it
