This is the only library I enjoyed going to because with each visit, I noticed how there's multiples of new books available, and the library has added a section just for teens to enjoy hanging out, studying, or read books that talks about everyday teens life. The place is usually quiet and the atmosphere is very calm. The reviews about this place dates 3 years ago, but at the year of 2014, it definitely has improved. If you're a parent looking for a nice library for your kids to expand their interests of varieties of books, this is the library for you. It's also neat and organized, dividing into sections of kids, teens, and adults books, which helps save time if you're in a rush to look for a good book to go and can easily go to which sections you preferred. I have been a member for about 3-4 years, starting from being a teen to a young adult. Another great thing about this library is the renewing your books after your 3 weeks are up! Hidden treasure in the Hood I don't have nothing bad to say about this branch of HPL While other neighborhoods had their branch closed or Never had a branch to begin with the Park place branch still going strong You can check books, get your passport. I am in favor of locking the parking lot Parishioners of the Catholic church had been taking advantage of the library parking space and it is not like the library is picking on the church, because the other 2 churches nearby don't use the library parking lot Before you point the finger. I go to the church and I like to be neutral on the parking issue and act like nothing happened Fair is fair

I just left this library on Park Place @ 45. I went in there completely lost and clueless about how to print a return label from a purchase I made on line, and when I went inside I came across 2 of the most beautiful and helpful ladies I ever encountered ,they greeted me with a smile and made me feel the most important person in the building, these 2 angels were super helpful and Mrs. Maria Velez OMG, she went absolutely out of her way to help me print my label she was very patient and very sweet ,these 2 ladies are an absolute asset to this library ,God bless them, we need more more city employees like these ladies!

Worst library. Rude, unprepared the manager with the short highlited hair needs better training or fired. Restrooms were disgusting and full of mud from stalls, walls and sinks, when i asked to use the employee restroom I was refused and had to wait till they ended up cleaning the mess in the regular restroom. I asked for a dollar in change for 4 quarters I had. Apparently they didn't even have dollar bills. Manager had an outburst arguing with a man over a backpack. Long story short don't go here. There are many library near by that will serve better .

its a very calm and quiet ( except when I'm there ) place & its very helpful to do projects or to hang out with friends in the chilling area reading books or just plane talking. the awesome people that work there are really cool and respective of other people, just a fine place to be in, thank you to who ever made this library really enjoy full

This library is absolutely Awesome! The weekend staff have outstanding customer service! Oh, and did I mention how helpful they are! This has got to be a genuine trait of most of the employees here because the visitors are helpful as WELL! Whenever I'm on the southeast side of Houston and need a library this one will be my first consideration.

Terrific meeting location! Excellent for study or research. Conveniently located right off the Gulf Freeway! Spacious and clean. Plenty of available staff. Be aware that during kid's hours, it can be a madhouse. (But that means kids are at the library, so...just beware of the potential noise.)

First timer. Great customer service. Passport processes was fast for a Saturday. Great library lots of books and toys. Now it is a little noisy for a library keep in mind is the weekend and people come in and out. Front desk was very helpful and nice. Tks

Cannot concentrate there. Had to look over some lectures and prepare for a test. Nope. Can't do it. Kids be kids. Parents be inconsiderate parents. Librarians be.. whatever, but it's not helpful. Do not like this place. Need another library or something.

I came here for new passport. The whole process took about 30 minutes. Mrs. Maria Velez is the sweetest lady I have encountered for a while, all other staff were also very friendly and helpful. Thank you again for your help.

Staff was very helpful and kind during a passport appointment. Library has a section a children’s section that my kids loved. Very grateful for our experience.

I started coming to this library in 2001 every other Monday with a teacher from the school next door Ms Park I been coming here ever since.

Always nice, helpful and smiling people to welcome you. The place is really very clean and quiet for reading and other computer stuff.

If you plan to apply for a passport be prepared to be there for 2 hours at least. We came right at 10 and were there for two hours.
