I can’t say enough good things about Pedal Easy. They really came through in my moment of need and set up a deal for me to rent one of their demo models as long as I needed. I HIGHLY recommend you check out their shop and go for a test ride. Not only do they offer customer service that many bigger shops lack, they offer a very niche experience that really feels like riding a bicycle; they stick true to their lightweight philosophy and what you get is a simple, solid, and quality ride. I rode the CanCycle for about 750km and this is my review: Pros/what you get: sleek and powerful front wheel motor, great handling, ~30km per charge, comfortable seat and riding position, and the very important ability to still be able to ride it like a regular bike without battery assistance. Cons/what they don’t have: no integrated lights, no front shocks, no display, no way of locking the battery to prevent theft, and the left-hand forward twist throttle takes some getting used to and is hard to hold for long periods of time. Caveat with the cons… Claudio and John are working on a new prototype that will address all of these issues and I can’t wait to try it out! If you’re still reading by now take it as a sign that you really do need to go visit the shop, you won’t regret it!

Purchased a couple of Responder bikes back in May. We're out on the West Coast, but their partner Steven at Atomic Cycles got them and put them together for us. Was missing the bike racks, but Frank and Claudio were super quick to respond and had them to me in a couple of days. Frank/Claudio were great through the whole purchasing process and always available and willing to help. As for the bikes, we've had them for a couple of months now and they are great! Super light weight, look great and so easy to handle. The gearing and light weight make cycling so much easier, especially on inclines without using the power assist. When we need to use the power assist, it's really easy and it works like a charm. Took a little getting used to the throttle, but all is good. Lots of people don't realize they're ebikes and when they find out, they are amazed. Great bikes!

We recently purchased 2 Easy Rider bikes from Pedal Easy and love the bikes already. The staff, and Claudio in particular, are knowledgable and caring and willing to answer every and all questions. Most of our communications were by email and they were answered promptly and completely. A demo ride was arranged on a wonderfully cold November day but at least it wasn’t snowing! It took only a few moments to get used to the throttle system on these bikes. Use it a lot, a little or not at all as the bikes are lightweight and easy to pedal. I love the idea of the 8 speed internal hub as it keeps the busy bits out of the dirt and dust. All in all a great retail experience and we look forward to many years with these bikes.

I purchased a Pedal Easy 'Easy Rider' this Spring. It's a wonderful bike and I've been riding it nearly every day. The motor is terrific - lots of power for hills. Buying during the pandemic had me worried, but it was really safe and easy. You make an appointment to view the bikes and they have models clean and ready to try out while they keep their distance and walk you through the features. I placed my order and received it within the estimated delivery time. I had it delivered to my driveway. Again, it was very safe. They set it up on the driveway and stood back while I checked it over and they answered all my questions. I highly recommend this company and this product! Plus, I love buying local!!

Claudio and team were amazing to work with. One never felt rushed and Claudio patiently answered a multitude of questions. Their focus was wanting to get the correct bike for the rider. It is obvious that Pedal Easy has worked hard designing their bikes, ensuring quality and easy usability. I like the fact that the motor is in the front wheel which provides better control, yet the bike still looks just like a typical bike. One can really get the sense that they want people to be happy with their purchase and to enjoy their e-bike.

(Previously voted 1-star) Edit: I drove all around this entire block of car repair shops 4-5 times, and couldn't find any physical place by that name. Edit 2: Seems I was somewhat mistaken -- I found an article in the Ottawa Citizen verifying the existence of a business here, but I still don't see any physical form it takes. Is this run as a side business in one of the shops here? Maybe try posting a few photos of what the inside and outside of the store look like so that people going off the address can actually find you!

I had heard by word of mouth of Pedal Easy but had never visited the store or website until I saw them advertising their Sale on Facebook. My husband and I took a drive there and were pleasantly received by John. He showed us the bikes and explained how they operated. I bought one of the floor models and we picked it up the next day. Claudio was very helpful and I am pleased with the service we received and the bike. I have yet to ride it, as it is winter, but I look forward to many adventures in the spring.

I am absolutely delighted with the Pedal Easy conversion on my favourite bike. It's great to know I can get to the top of a hill and still have energy to keep riding. Operating the motor is simple and straightforward. I enjoy getting out more often and riding longer distances with the electric assistance. Claudio and Frank were extremely helpful abut answering my questions. And I learned how easy it is to disconnect the motor when fixing a flat tire. I highly recommend Pedal Easy for this e-bike conversion.

Claudio and Frank are responsive and awesome! This is a family owned business that cares about quality and customers. More often than not, I feel talked down to in bike stores but not here. I've owned my Pedal Easy bike for five years. Best purchase ever. Locally made, great maintenance support, lightweight and looks and rides like a road bike with a bit of extra oomph when needed. Knowing that I can use the motor has meant I will take the bike out more often, go further, and go on hillier terrain - I am biking way more as a result. Love it!

What I love most about my pedaleasy bike is that it gives me the freedom to go anywhere. It is light enough to lift onto a bike rack by myself and swift enough to commute to work in a timely manner. It's a bike first but boy that power assist is great in head winds and up hills. Highly recommend this local shop with awesome customer service.

We love our Pedal Easy Bikes. We received them a couple of weeks ago, and are impressed with the quality and ease of use of these bikes. Shifting gears is smooth, as is the ride. The pedal-assist is fantastic- I have been riding way more than with my other bike. A real game changer for me.

A father & son business where you will find expert advice on how to retrofit your bike to create an electric bike and where you can also purchase a good quality electric bike for a very decent price. I'll be bringing in my Giant Simple to get converted for sure! Thanks Claudio
