I am updating my review from a 1 star to a 3 star as my experiences with them since my initial review has been largely positive and the staff at the St Laurent location has worked hard to provide great service. That being said a lot of the issues that I had in my previous review regarding Peoples Jewellers in general and NOT this location specifically still apply so I will be leaving those details below. From previous review: People’s jewelry’s process is archaic and very time consuming. You would think the longest part of buying wedding bands would be the actual selection but that turned out to be the shortest. They did not have our bands in stock so to purchase them online. Not a huge issue. However they use the same online buying process everyone else uses which is very slow and took twice as long as the actual selection. To top it all off, you can’t use their store Flexiti credit card to purchase items online. This all added to the time spent on something very simple.

Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I was completely taken advantage of and promised no payments or interest for 12 Months with Flexiti. To my surprise, this contract doesn't work if you live in Quebec. I was never informed anything. When I approached Gila to let her know the issues, all she could tell me was "She was sorry" & "She Didn't know". She knew very well when I gave her my drivers license and all, she only wanted to make the sale and didn't care what position it put me in. This has put me in an awful position with my engagement ring. I just wish I could of been properly informed, especially with a big life decision that I entrusted to Peoples Jewellers.

My Fiancé and I were not greeted, and when we received help looking for wedding bands, it wasn't very pleasant or informative. I chose to shop here because of the wide selection of bands, specifically for men, and also because of the Black Friday sales. The sales person proceeded to make fun of the one ring my Fiancé had his eyes on, saying it was suitable for teenage boys. At that point he decided he did not want to have a sale here, however I liked the ring I chose as well as the price so I didn't care. I was hoping for a better experience for something so special. I don't regret getting my ring here, but the experience was incredibly disappointing.

Great service when you are buying something but when it comes to service it seems as no one cares or wants to help you. My ring has been in to be repaired over 4 times and no one has called me once to let me know its ready. I have had purchased this ring in 2021 and its has spent over 4-6 months in total waiting to be repaired. I would recommend a dedicated service person or team because its not about selling you something its about making sure after the sale you are happy as you will be a repeat customer and generate referrals. I will not be shopping with Peoples anymore.

I will be contacting you tomorrow. After speaking with customer care today only to find out the ring we brought in to return due to bad inscribing was never reordered so sadly no fathers day gift. And a few issues with the new purchases we had bought in store. We went in last night to return all our purchases with no intention of shopping in store again. Gole however rectified most of the issues we had recieved wonderful and transparent service from her. I give her a 5 star. Talk tomorrow thank you

Today on April 6th the man and woman who were working this morning were extremely helpful and provided exceptional customer service. The woman offered to clean my engagement ring for free too even though I hadn't purchased it from there. Very welcoming and made it a very happy experience even after we discovered our online order for my fiancée wedding band was the wrong size. Helped fix the problem fairly quickly. I wish I could remember their names

Adrianna, was so pleasant and easy to deal with, she truly made the entire experience a breath of Fresh air, we wanted to make this right and felt so discouraged with all the high pressure sales from their competition it was getting so discouraging , so glad that we found Peoples and Adrianna , so so Happy! Dealt with Jila at St.Laurent Ottawa location. Could not have received more professional conduct. She helped secure a repair to my custom made diamond ring. Absolutely the best warranty in the business. It is for life I missed a check up on it due to the pandemic but was assured it would be covered regardless. Highly recommend People's and Jila!!

I had an amazing experience with Golie. She took the time to make sure we chose the best ring and was super hospitable. She kept us notified of any news while the ring was being sized. We visited to have a Diamond fixed, and the store manager made sure to put us back on track with the warranty. We purchased the ring from Goli a couple of years ago. She was fantastic. Today, we had help by Adrianna and she was fantastic. If you visit, I highly recommend you speak with one of them.
