This is the tiniest theater I have ever seen! I showed up with a date and the screen was probably only double the size of my home tv. The theater seating approximately 25 people was very empty until a few more people trickled in. It felt very comfortable due to it's small scale.

This charming vintage theater was quiet and cozy. Not much of a large crowd at all. It was a nice place to sit back and enjoy a movie after walking all over hilly San Francisco. Sound and visual quality was up to par even for an older theater. Great snacks and customer service.

This is a quant small theater that shows fairly current movies. The screen wasn't exactly large but the seating and the sound quality were fine. For the most part the experience here is fine and I will come back but the $10 is a bit steep for what they are offering.

Nice, old fashioned theatre - the way movie places used to be thirty years ago. Three small theatres. Basic seats and screen. You are looking up to the screen. They sell popcorn and soda. Friendly local place and its great to support a small, local business.

  • Ray Kuryla

I automatically rate any neighborhood theatre 5 stars because it's a NEIGHBORHOOD theatre and not a gigantic huge multiplex. One request: please install coat hangers on the toilet stall doors in the men's restroom. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

The cutest neighborhood theater! Recently did a private screening here for my partner’s birthday and it was super fun- they even customized the marquee for us. Amazing experience and we’ll definitely find excuses to do it again in the future!

My girlfriend and I went out to this theater to see Maleficent this evening. We like going to the local businesses when we can, and it is especially convenient since we work in the neighborhood. We have seen multiple movies at this location

In a city brimming with excellent movie theaters, the Presidio is among my top choices! It's small but quaint, has fair prices for food & beverages, it has that classic old school cinema vibe, it's in a beautiful area of the city with some

Great neighborhood and family movie theater. My family and I have been attending movies at this location for over a decade. Good food and service and always a friendly crowd. It is not a destination location that I would drive all the way

Located in the Marina in SF. Make sure you arrive early because parking can be hard to find and you don't want to miss the beginning of your movie! Old-timey feel. Great if you don't want to head to a huge theatre and want that nostalgia.

The building is cute but we were in Theater 4...it has old school seats from the 90s. They are not comfortable and the rows are on top of each other so there's no leg room. It's so old and decrepit the tickets SHOULD BE MUCH CHEAPER. We

The staff is nice but without a clue the screen was tiny but top and bottom had 12 inches of a sun shade blocking the projection - editing the film and when i mentioned it to the staff they were like "okay, we will have a look" and then

I went here the other day to see Murder on the Orient Express. The location is good, getting in is relatively painless (assuming you can find a parking spot), and the process of getting your ticket and going to the specific theater is

It’s a cute neighborhood theater. They should replace the seats, the fabric is falling a part and there are stains all over the seats. The staff are very nice. The sound and quality of the movies are very good in comparison to larger

We were invited from a friend's kids birthday party. I was told every guest included a small soda and popcorn. When we walked in, I did see some popcorn were ready for guest. However, when I asked for soda, the worker serving snacks

I love seeing movies at the two small theaters (Presidio and Marina) on Chestnut Street. I always pick these two theaters over any of the large ones as I always have a better time there. Cute, cozy, and fun. Nice to support smaller

Part of the Lee group of neighborhood theatres. Very modest but clean and well maintained. Audio and acoustics work great. Decent popcorn and drinks are available at the lobby, and lots of restaurant choices outside.

  • PJ Van Urk

Very nice old school cinema. It has a 20ish vibe. Nice seats, I think its probably best to sit in the back to prevent neck complaints. Great sound and an ok screen. I can recommend this cinema to everybody.

  • Casey Champion

We were seeing uncut gems so in a way it added to the stressful movie experience, but the sound was way to loud and the speakers were blown in theather 4. I felt like I was getting screamed at for 2 hours.

Eric, the head of tech at Presidio Theatre, takes his job very seriously and only wants the best for patrons. He's a passionate film buff and prides himself on the movie-going experience at his theater.

This place has so much problems such as They microwave the Hotdogs to the point they taste awful. Theater really dark so it’s annoying to walk up all the steps and the seats are way to close together.

  • Marcus Pun

Small market decent movie theaters. Shows some stuff you won't see elsewhere like the Chinese spy thriller, Hidden Blade, which recently played Feb 2-23. Decent selection of drinks and snacks.

  • Robert Leon

The Presidio is one of the few remaining neighborhood movie theaters in S. F. It is located in The Marina that has plenty of eateries to enjoy before or after the movie.

  • Allen Calderwood

Kinda small and the seats were organized weirdly, but the sound quality was very good, better than most chain theaters and the visual quality was just as good as others.

  • Dave Lampton

Beautiful art-deco building. Spacious theater with large screen, with an old-fashioned stage and curtain. However, parking in the neighborhood can be difficult.

  • Lane Weaver

I'm always partial to a non-cineplex experience. Presidio has intimate theaters, and offers lots of pre-movie dinner, post-movie drink options on Chestnut.

  • Michael Wyatt

Old movie theater with lots of character. The popcorn is really good. The theaters are small and the sound could be better, but all around a fun experience

  • Darina Doyle

Loved this old school style cinema. Really comfortable seats and super friendly staff. Popcorn was great and even have choices of sweets and ice cream.

  • Josef Aukee

Great location near restaurants and shops on Chestnut. Modest three-screen theatre has leading first-run films and surprisingly comfortable seating.

  • Stijn Vrp

A very nice old-scool cinema. We saw a movie here and everything was pleasant. The seats are good, the theatre is authentic and the quality is good.

  • Drew Gill

Nice local theater with reasonable prices and good selection of movies Significantly less ads before the movie begins too which is a welcome change

  • Joseph Eck

Smaller theater but they had a great staff, prices weren't terrible and they seem to have a consistent lineup of pretty good movies. No complaints

  • Kaitlyn Baab

Neighborhood gem! A bit outdated but great spot to see the latest movies. Usually not too crowded. The trailers are short so don’t come too late.

  • Dan Quine

A neighborhood movie theater. A little run down, parking is hell in the Marina, screen and sound are fine. Seats are not super comfortable.

  • Gabriel Rossmann

Called to inquire about a private screening and was hung up on TWICE after a distant “hello”. Amazing experience, would recommend.

  • Kelly Burton

Great little old-school theater that feels like a walk back in time! Lobby was in slightly rough shape, but otherwise it was tops!

  • Maggie Rado

A small but lovely neighborhood theater and a Marina classic. Never crowded, great to pop in on a whim on a rainy afternoon.

  • carolyn

Old fashion movie theatre. Screen we saw, was a theatre of about 40 seats. Chairs are old, but sound and screen were great!

  • David Ye

Small cozy theater around Marina. Went to see the French dispatch there. The woman I was with, graceful and enchanting.

  • Darin Hughes

Excellent sound, small theaters, good view from every seat (at least in theater two). Refills on large popcorn.

  • Melinda Green

Relaxed and friendly theatre. Just beware that the smallest screen seems smaller than some home theatres.

  • Marshea F

This a fun cute Theater with a great and personable owner. Renting out a theater is accessibly priced.

  • Laron jones

Lifelong full of Moments & Memories at the Presidio must go to attraction when your in San Francisco.

  • Gary Levenson-Palmer

Nice locally run theater. Has some great movies and not a national chain. Easy to walk to. Low key.

  • david rodrigues

Very nice neighborhood theatre. Reasonable ticket and concession prices. Run by a local family.

  • Colin Miller

Good size screen for a small theater. Good selection of Indy films, beer and wine available

  • Nora Smith

I liked this quaint little theater. If you go, try the caramel popcorn. It was delicious.

  • Vernon Hooftman

Very nice small movie theater. A bit pricy, but well maintained and would recommend.

  • Sandra Green

Surprisingly good sightlines even close to the wall in theater 3.

  • Bob Martin

Amazing family-run theater right on Chestnut. Highly recommend.
